Best bl so far!
I finished all 9 episodes in one sitting, and honestly—this drama was incredible.I don’t usually watch BL dramas, and I’m quite picky when it comes to both plot and acting. If either one feels weak, I normally drop a show quickly. But this is the first Chinese BL drama that I’ve watched from start to finish, and it has become one of my favorites.
As a native Cantonese speaker, I actually appreciated the Cantonese dubbing because it made the atmosphere feel even more immersive. I also grew up watching Hong Kong dramas, so I was initially hesitant when I heard this was centered around gang/mafia themes since I’ve seen similar stories many times before. However, I really liked how the show didn’t overcomplicate the gang conflicts and instead focused more on character development and emotional storytelling.
In just 9 episodes, the drama beautifully portrays He Chusan and Xia Liuyi’s journey from meeting each other to falling in love. The pacing feels smooth, with no unnecessary scenes or dialogue. The cinematography, transitions, and small details were all handled extremely well.
The acting was another huge highlight. The entire cast delivered strong performances, including the supporting characters. And the two leads were perfectly cast—they completely exceeded my expectations. Their chemistry felt natural, and every emotional moment, from subtle glances to physical intimacy, was filmed with restraint and beauty.
What I loved most was how cinematic everything felt. It often felt like I was watching a beautifully made film rather than a drama series.
Of course, everyone will have different opinions, but for me, the story, performances, characters, OST, and overall tone were just right.
Huge thanks to the director and production team for creating such a wonderful show.
I’ll definitely be rewatching—and I truly hope there’s a Season 2.

Natural Chemistry, Weak Editing, and Endless Charm
Double Love is a lighthearted romantic comedy that blends showbiz drama, online gaming, and fluffy romance into a sweet and entertaining binge. It does not offer a particularly original story, but its charm lies in its lovable characters, strong chemistry, and consistently humorous tone. The drama follows Lu Wanwan, a rookie actress determined to succeed in the entertainment industry without relying on her family’s influence. Her path crosses with Han Jingmo, a popular actor and expert gamer. Their relationship develops both in real life and in the virtual world, where they unknowingly grow closer through an online game. The setup is familiar: a bright and clumsy heroine meets a cool and admired celebrity, and what begins with misunderstandings gradually turns into romance.
Although the premise is full of classic idol drama tropes such as childhood connections, jealous rivals, and entertainment industry scandals, the series remains enjoyable because of its warm execution. The romance between Wanwan and Jingmo is genuinely adorable. Their relationship feels natural, and Han Jingmo stands out as a supportive and dependable male lead who is always willing to defend Wanwan and openly express his feelings for her.
One of the greatest strengths of the drama is its humor. Lu Wanwan is an energetic and amusing heroine, and many scenes are laugh-out-loud funny. The sibling relationship between Wanwan and her brother Lu Guang Han is particularly delightful. Their constant teasing and playful arguments create some of the most memorable moments in the series, while also showing how deeply they care for one another. In many ways, this sibling bond is just as compelling as the central romance.
The supporting cast contributes significantly to the drama’s appeal. There is a strong sense of camaraderie among the characters, and the playful friendship between Lu Guang Han and Gu Qiao Bei adds another entertaining dynamic. Even the game sequences are enjoyable, featuring decent CGI and amusing contrasts between the characters’ online personas and their real-world interactions.
Another welcome aspect of the series is its pacing. Conflicts and misunderstandings are resolved quickly rather than being dragged out for several episodes. Villains receive appropriate consequences, and the story maintains a cheerful and low-stress tone throughout.
The drama’s most significant weakness is its editing. Several important scenes appear to have been cut, including key confessions, identity revelations, and moments that explain how certain relationships developed. This creates noticeable plot holes, especially in the second half, where major events seem to occur abruptly without sufficient buildup. Viewers are often told that something important happened rather than being allowed to witness it.
Some of the side romances also feel underdeveloped and unnecessary. While the supporting cast is likable, certain subplots add little to the overall story and take time away from the main couple. The depiction of the entertainment industry is highly idealized and not particularly realistic, but this is unlikely to matter to viewers seeking a purely escapist romantic comedy.
Despite its flaws, Double Love is an easy and enjoyable watch. It is best approached as a feel-good drama that prioritizes charm and entertainment over narrative precision. The engaging performances, strong chemistry, and heartwarming relationships more than compensate for the uneven editing and occasional inconsistencies.
Overall, Double Love is a cute and comforting series that offers plenty of laughter, romance, and endearing character interactions. It may not be memorable for its storytelling, but it succeeds as a fun and relaxing binge for anyone who enjoys light Chinese romance dramas with a gaming twist.

Finally another well series from China!!
Well well finally got to watch a good series after a long time and it literally felt like i am watching myself and my life again which was 6 to 7 years ago when i was in a same situation like these series and the only difference is that thy had a happy ending (kind of) and i hadn't.Yeah so beside these, acting was top notch especially i like that cute short guy very much in the series. Every character has it's own quick personality which makes you feel connected to them somehow in a fun way. Music was nice. By the end they should have shown the end scenes of those other guy too in more detailes. But yeah short series with tight budget is understandable. Definitely a watch worth to see more then once.

A hauntingly beautiful drama that understands human brokenness
I’ve been watching K-dramas since 2015, but honestly, no drama has ever made me feel this attached. We Are All Trying Here, is hauntingly beautiful in the way it portrays human emotions and inner struggles. What I love the most is that no character feels purely bad or cruel. Every character is carrying their own wounds, their own sense of worthlessness, and trying to survive life in their own way. That’s what makes this drama feel painfully real and deeply human.
Even the smallest lines somehow carry so much meaning. The writing is subtle, melancholic, comforting, and emotionally overwhelming all at once. And the casting? Perfect. Not just the main leads, but the entire cast feels born for these roles.
Tbh, I genuinely can’t find a single flaw in this drama so far. Every episode leaves me wanting more while also making me scared to continue because I know I’ll have to wait another week again 😭
For me, this is one of the best slice-of-life dramas ever written n portrayed perfectly, and once again, Park Hae-young proves why no one understands human emotions quite like she does.

Good Comfort Drama
Cute story that vibes a bit like Hidden Love but a bit older age group. Very slow paced slice of life. Solid cast, nice story. I enjoyed how the leads help each other grow and don't have a massivly toxic relationship like so many other dramas. But the last few episodes were so slow, uneventful, and predictable, that I probably could have skipped it and just watched the last few scenes of the show and been fine. There was so weird focus on side characters at times that could have been interesting but felt random and inconsistent
Overall, worth the watch.. It was a nice, relaxing comfort drama that I really did enjoy.
But how do these actors look even younger now than in their previous roles?

It's pure romance and it's one of the best kind out there.
Before I dive deep, I will start with the fact that I haven't seen the first two seasons. So this review is based on my love for the show as a standalone drama. The heroine is a successful writer. She has a full support staff, a gorgeous writing studio, creative freedom, book signing events with fans lined up, etc. There is essentially nothing problematic or lacking in her life. It's about someone whose life is so steady to the point that she decides to go sky diving to feel inspired, and even such adrenaline cannot make waves. Enter, the hero, who is as steady and calm as a rock. You'd think that boring meets boring leads to nowhere and you'd be completely wrong. You see, this is where the fun begins. This is a story about two co-workers whose personalities clash. It's pure romance and it's one of the best kind out there.
The gradual frustration with which Yumi feels the more she gets to "know" Soon Rok is peak comedy. Add to that the tiny animated cells inside Yumi, each replete with such sass and personality of their own. They bicker amongst each other, but it is all to provide Yumi with the best course of action, to protect her, to make her happy, to keep her happy, to stay true to herself. They're all just so precious and distinct and add such charm to the entire show; not to mention they are each laugh out loud funny. I think I busted my gut laughing when the Manner cell first came out, or the drumming twins, or the Naughty cell with the short shorts. And wait till you meet Soon Rok's cells! The transition between real life and cell life is well done.
In my opinion, Soon Rok's character is a realistic portrayal of someone who is introverted. Their natural tendency to avoid social interactions is often misunderstood as rude or cold. Introverts don't even realize they come across that way because it's not done intentionally. But it's this effect that gets Yumi worked up. It can be a challenge and it takes time to connect with an introvert. And introverts are creatures of habit and stick to the familiar and the comfortable; it's hard to get an introvert to try something new, which is part of the reason for the conflict between Soon Rok and Yumi initially, and later not recognizing his new/true feelings and he makes even more blunders. However, once committed, it's inevitable for Soon Rok to look any other way but in Yumi's direction. It's not only love, it is in his nature. And the surprising thing about introverts is that they're extroverts with the people closest to them. Once Soon Rok feels close to Yumi, he's like a little parrot, peppering her nonstop. Who knew Kim Jae Won could be such a cutie? He looks amazing in sweats.
And my gosh, the OST, the cinematography, the interior design. That studio, his place, her place; all just adds to how pleasantly charming the show is. Just like the heroine's style: effortlessly chic, warm, comfortable. What a wonderful drama with a romance that is so worth the wait!

Flawed, But Still Great
Overall, I think that this show was a bit more consistent than The Earth. It wasn't as great as Earth's 1st half, but it also didn't dip in quality during the 2nd half.Engfa and Charlotte are great actresses who have great chemistry, and this was arguably even better than Petrichor.
The show also has a great supporting cast, including Nam's loving and supportive father, her sister Fah, her assistant Preem, and Lada's best friend Nat.
As with nearly all of these GL dramas, the abusive parent's "redemption" arc at the very end was really annoying. It's frustrating that Lada's father had to become a vegetable, and get robbed by one of his sons, before he finally realized how amazing Lada and her mom are, and how lucky he is to have them in his life.

Glad i didn't skip this season!!
I read comments from here before watching the second season where everyone was saying they would not watch this season because he cheats or they didn't move on from woong. First of all i really loved watching this season glad i didn't skip this season becoz of those comments. I loved babi he was a perfect boyfriend trusted yumi knowing she is going to meet woong, didn't let her go while breaking up he did not keep his pride like woong instead he accepted his mistakes and apologized. I think there's no debate abt who is better woong or babi both were perfect except one thing for babi it was emotional cheating and for woong it was his pride and miscommunication. Woong never emotionally cheated on yumi and babi never let his pride break their relationship it's that simple it is useless to say I like woong becoz he AT LEAST never emotionally cheated on yumi this debate is really useless he didn't cheated on her but what abt the time yumi felt left out in her own relationship it can't be compared less painful than cheating. Anyways I really really loved both woong and babi so much they were just perfect except they also had their own flaws i would have liked to change that too but it isn't life if the things always goes the way you want it to be at the end they just teach us more and we have to let them go and move on! Just the hate on babi is so much without even understanding both woong and babi hurt yumi the same ofc with different reasons but the amount of pain was the same. I'm so happy that I can finally start the new and the last season. Was this review helpful to you?
bad acting and boring story dropped at episode 6
after 6 episodes where i was annoyed by both the main characters i decided to stop watching this drama.the female actress is in my opinion expressionless and not so good in the role, even the male lead actor is uninteresting ....but nothing like the female lead!
the story is confused and surely not so interesting and after the six episode i realized i was just not interested to go further...

hi
This series really nice I enjoyed it so much. I don't usually watch Korean BL's but I can tell you I loved this one. My only problem is that it's to short for my liking, but other than that I would definitely recommend it to others.I over the acting just I think it was way to little. They could have added at least a bit more drama, and I also would have liked to see the sisters relationship. If possible I would really want a season two of this, just they should make it longer than season one😭

a c-drama that surprised me
My relationship with this drama, out of all the dramas I've ever watched, was the most "different." I thought I wouldn't like it because when it premiered, I watched the first episode, thought it was "weak," and abandoned it. But I ALWAYS wanted to finish it out of obligation; I never liked watching anything halfway through. So, after a long time, I decided to continue, and that was the best thing I did. The drama that I thought I wouldn't be able to like managed to be so good that it became memorable. The acting, the cinematography, the soundtrack, the story—EVERYTHING. It's a drama that might not grab you at the beginning, but it will take you to the end, and you won't regret getting this far. A story that promised nothing but delivered everything. I already miss my Ji Bozai and my Ming Yi ❤️Was this review helpful to you?

The Real Perfect Crown! 10/10
at first, I was kinda suspicious because the drama theme was about a kingdom, BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE SO GOOD 😭 it’s not like an old traditional kingdom drama, they mixed it with modern times too.IU and Byeon Woo-seok’s acting was sooo good too. The storyline was INSANELY GOOD!
I usually don’t like dramas with too much conflict, and I also hate it when a romance drama spends the whole beginning making the couple suffer, then they only become sweet or finally get together at the very end (because sooo many dramas do that 😭) BUT THIS DRAMA ISN’T LIKE THAT AT ALL!! It’s seriously so good, fun, cute, wholesome, and exactly what I hoped for
The main female and male characters also aren’t overly prideful or complicated, so the story flows naturally without making me annoyed or stressed. They already loved each other from the start, so I really enjoyed watching them. This drama also perfectly shows what an ideal relationship looks like, like the way they face problems and struggles together instead of dealing with everything alone or drowning in misunderstandings.
OVERALL 1000000000000/10 ⭐
anw I-AN ur so freacking handsome prince 🤩
+
For people saying the Queen Mother wasn’t selfish because she felt like she had already sacrificed a lot by marrying the king, but then the king suddenly wanted to step down and just hand the throne over to his younger brother... honestly, I don’t really agree with that opinion..
Because:
1. The Queen Mother already liked Prince I-AN, so if we simplify it, she could’ve just said that from their school days
2. Maybe there was a reason why the king wanted to step down
3. Her child was still too young. There’s no way an 8-year-old kid could handle becoming king
4. She was willing to let her husband die and forced her child to become king at such a young age (like Ian said, basically a “royal puppet”
⚡Unpopular opinion: Honestly, the Queen Mother should’ve just accepted I-AN becoming king first. Then later, when her son grew up, I-AN could simply pass the throne to his nephew

This Made No Sense - Still Watched Everything
Affinity (2026) is one of those dramas that leaves you wondering whether you actually like it or you're just watching out of pure curiosity. The premise is genuinely interesting: a seemingly normal world affected by a virus that divides people into different types with unstable and dependent behaviors. However, the execution is extremely inconsistent. At times, the story tries to be serious and intense, while in others it drifts into almost absurd territory (yes, including things like the octopus and dragon scenes that make little to no sense in context).
Character development is fairly weak, largely due to the short episode length, which makes the central relationship feel rushed. In the beginning, the romance is very physical and impulsive, sometimes even uncomfortable, with a possessive dynamic that can feel questionable. As the story progresses, though, their relationship becomes more balanced and emotionally grounded, improving the overall experience.
Despite its flaws, inconsistent tone, confusing worldbuilding, and some outright bizarre moments, the drama manages to stay engaging. Much of this comes from the chemistry between the leads, which helps carry the story even when the plot falls apart.
In the end, Affinity is a flawed, sometimes cringe and absurd drama, but somehow more entertaining than other shows that should have been better. It’s not memorable for its quality, but definitely for its weirdness.
Rating: 6.5/10

The visuals blinded me.
I have been watching this drama week by week and haven't really given it much thought, until today I realized I was clicking on episode 9 not 5 and thought to myself, "wait a minute, I've watched 8 episodes of this thing?!! what? when? how?! I really can't comprehend because I was convinced that I was enjoying it, that it was good and that the plot was going somewhere, but not really when it's this forgettable, I guess I was just looking at the pretty visuals, the stunning cast and interesting world building. Honestly other than the ugly fake nails, I liked how beautiful everything looked. At first I enjoyed the cunning female lead, the fantasy element, it was pretty interesting to me, but now I realized how shallow it really is. There's a lot of nonsense that has happened that I had ignored because, it's fantasy, you have to suspend disbelief to really enjoy but, I guess I suspended my whole brain because I can't really tell you much about what has happened so far other than the marriage contract that turned into really love, the evil queen, the marriage contract eventually being found out, an so on and that's something that someone who hasn't even watched an episode could tell.
So I don't kno w if I want to keep watching or drop it all together. I am sure I don't want to go back and watch the episodes again, I lost interest in watching this week, so maybe I'll wait for the last 2 episodes to air and maybe pick it back up then.
I just realized that this ended today and I hadn't thought about it since I wrote this review. I was really planing on at least skim through the last 4 episodes, but I'm not even curious about the ending so I'm done, this drama is all beauty (except for those hideous, hovering fake nails) and no substance a total disappointment in my honest and humble opinion.
