Is it really even Nanno?
I commonly see people say that original Nanno was karma. But I have always disagreed. Because like, what is the karma of the mom that found out the man she loved was actually a monster and then had to watch her daughter die? Or all of the innocent kids that were killed in the school shooting by the teacher Nanno pushed into going crazy? Or the artist that had her work stolen that had to hear the audience side with the plagiarist over her?I think every episode was done in a way that it can be enjoyed at surface level but also at a deeper level its presenting a thought experiment to the audience. And Nanno's role is always just to set up a scenario to leave the audience thinking about it. She often went too far, but that is just one more thing left for the viewers to consider. Which is why there is so much fourth wall breaking where the audience is spoken to or questioned. It's also why each episode almost takes place in it's own universe (hence the ones that ended with everyone but one person disappearing and the world of greyscale).
HOWEVER, in this version, Nanno feels like karma. She is brought in by a victim. And unlike original Nanno, who was typically not sympathetic and was sometimes even dismissive of the "victim", this Nanno comforts them and even works with them directly in getting their revenge. She even stops when one asks her to. And she only goes after the perpetrator. In the first episode, she didn't even go after the main bully's two henchmen. In the second episode, only three boys that took the photos and enabler mom were punished, even though all the boys in the school seemed to be involved in buying the photos.
She also oddly seems both more and less supernatural. Original Nanno often times didn't show her abilities though she had a sort of omnipotent/immortal being of chaos feel, she was just there to set up scenarios and let the chaos fall where it may leaving most of the onus on what happens on the person she is there to use as a lesson. In this, she directly uses her abilities to disappear in front of people, causes cameras to not work, that weird hand thing, etc. in every episode to more directly influence the people around her. And yet, the way she was talked about in the first episode wasn't like an urban legend, but more like a vigilante. And the guy from the first episode seems to be following her like a guy with a crush.
AFTER WATCHING EP 3&4:
Alright, well...these episodes feel like a different Nanno as well. She's not coming in to help victims. It feels more like original Nanno (at least season 2), but more heavy-handed. Less thought-provoking, more this is what we want you to think.
I saw a review saying they weren't sure what some of the people did wrong and at least one didn't do anything until Nanno arrived, but I'd say that was true for the majority from the original series as well. I mean, sure the girl might have been biased towards her crush in Wonderwall and given her crush water first, but did that deserve punishment?
And the guy from episode 1 showing up each time and even taking her on a date is weird. Like Yuri stalking original Nanno set up an interesting juxtaposition between their two styles. I also fully believe Yuri's existence was intentional; Nanno was made to be to omnipotent to slip up like that and with how often she gets murdered in bloody ways, seems unlikely that no one ever got her blood in their mouth before. Like I feel like that was leading up to something, even if it was just part of Yuri's message/lesson as someone who went from victim to accomplice to perpetrator.
But this guy feels like it's about to turn into a K-Drama romance. Like I just don't know where they can go with it that makes sense for either original or this version of Nanno. Maybe he follows her and like sees a little too much of the chaos she leaves behind and decides it's too dark for him. He is the one that pulled back and showed his bully mercy after all. If he dies, it'd have to be some kind of epic ending for it to make sense. She's bent like the very existence of time and the universe to suit her purposes. She's died and come back, she's had others die and come back. It wouldn't make sense she couldn't bring him back. Oh, unless she isn't really Nanno. That could potentially be an interesting twist. She already isn't original Nanno, but have it be that she isn't even really "Nanno" at all. She could be the daughter from 'Judgement' (final episode of season 2) that Yuri gave Nanno's blood to just using Nanno's name and schtick. Then even her appearance on social media could be a way of undermining the original Nanno.

Babygirl just wanna snack and relax but ends up becoming immortal demon empress.
Lemme preface this by saying, I'm super biased. I don't think that this drama as a whole is amazing (esp the later half), but it gives me good vibes and I adore the main couple. This drama!! This is sunshine x grumpy done right. This is mutual pining with dewy-glistening-yearning eyes. This is so so tender and very very juicy. This is three lifetimes of love—and I'm going to need a sequel of their fourth life in a modern drama.
For a great romance, we need great leads with great chemistry. Sima Jiao and Tingyan said hold my beer and gave us great characters to root for.
Chen Feiyu's Sima Jiao is menacing, broody and ferocious. But he's also gentle and thoughtful when he wants. Feiyu gives this character so much dimension in how he overthinks, how he shows vulnerability and the way he warms up to Tingyan.
Wang Yinglu's Liao Tingyan is our sunshine slacker who is coincidentally the demon in this relationship (not that she knows that at first). She is an unbothered queen with priorities to sleep, eat and relax. She easily the best character and the life of this drama and hella relatable. Wang Yinglu was amazing with this performance; she played Tingyan with so much heart and carefree whimsy. It's so easy to fall in love with this character. (Unrelated: I don't know how to say this without sounding creepy but I love Want Yinglu's teeth LMAO. She has front bunny teeth but also fangs on the side? I love it when she smiles with her mouth wide open. I find it so charming lol.)
The romance is easily 10/10. The rest? Ehh, not anything to write home about to be honest.
The plot, while mostly engaging, really plays second fiddle to the romance. It's got uneven pacing and sometimes irrelevant storylines, but it always comes back to the main romance.
While I found most of the plot uninspired, the one trope that stood out for me how they used different lifetimes to explore the romance and relationship between our leads.
Minor spoilers ahead!
In the first lifetime, they are strangers who fall in love slowly, the tension and humour hit perfectly. The second lifetime, when only Sima Jiao remembers, you can feel his desperation and yearning while holding himself back to give her room to process. The third lifetime, when only Tingyan remembers, she's flirty and fiercely protective. It's a beautiful reversal of their first and second life; it's her turn to being the powerful one. Tingyan teasing Sima Jiao is so so so endearing.
I don't think the amnesia trope in the second lifetime is done all that well but overall I really enjoyed what they did with it. Revisiting the same relationship while the characters are in different periods of their life and love is a really fun and interesting story.
TLDR;
plot: didn't really care tbh/10
romance: 33/10
acting: 9/10
fights: it's a xianxia/10
PS if you really liked the kisses, you have to check out the behind the scenes. They are EATING

Nota: 8,5/10 🇹🇼👬✨
Recomendo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

beautiful
i dropped it and picked it back up because of the ml.i got so drawn in that I binged it. i couldn’t stop watching it.
i gave it a 8.5 ratings because the storyline had holes for me.
it was a bit confusing at times with the constant flip flopping
i loved the actors. the ml have so much chemistry and joe is so beautiful. his acting is beautiful! it was so very much believable
the only thing that annoyed me was his constant “ming. ming. ming…” i heard him in my dreams lol
i liked ming but his acting is not even close to the guy who plays joe. still good and very handsome. i loved how his character turned everything around in the end
i really loved joes mom. such a sweet lady. again, the chemistry between her and joe was so good, him being her son was very believable!
the comedy parts where rare but funny
in the very last scene I was waiting for a sneeze to finish the show but all I got was “ming. ming. ming” 😂
i wish they would have elaborated on the second couple more. it felt like they threw it in there last minute and just left it. all in all I loved it and wished for more

This is the drama which I can’t complain anything
There are only 2 words to say about this film. It is SO GOOD1. The chemistry between ML and FL is absolutely amazing. The way they act together is very natural. Every moment when they kiss, they look at, or they smile at each other is so real, like a real couple.
2. I'm totally smitten with Hong Xiao's look. She's so alluring and beautiful in this drama. Charles Lin is handsome, too.
3. The OST in the film is also out of this world.
In general, I like everything in the film: the script, the beach background, the cinematography, and the acting of all actors.

Fun, entertaining, I hope for a third season
Excellent series! I thoroughly enjoyed the first season, and this one is just as good. Both seasons stand out for their humor and acting; every comedic moment is hilarious. I've already watched it a couple of times and I definitely recommend it.
The main actors, all those who have participated in both seasons, fit together and interact perfectly.
I hope there's a third season with the same cast.

I can't believe this drama is this good.
I can't believe I have time to watch this drama... and maybe I actually don't. I am finding time to watch this drama so that should say a lot. So I wasn't planning on watching this considering the amount of dramas I am watching, I fell into the media and ended up giving it a chance. Sometimes people rave a drama for what looks like no reason... and I honestly thought that was the case. What is My Royal Nemesis? It looks like your standard romantic comedy with time travel elements and humor built off the dissonance between those times. Think Scarlet Heart but reversed. If something has already been done it has a chance of coming across as boring because of it, then you'd compare because of it also. My Royal Nemesis has elements that have been done, but it hasn't pushed it this direction before.
I haven't watched a lot of dramas where the 'villain' gets the lime-lite. It flips the characters around so you get their backstories and like them, but with the FL Seo Ri she is consistently herself. She is neither a villain, nor a perfect person. She is brash and fully into her historical life, and episodes in she is still remarkable herself. What I find myself holding onto here is that characterization, and how Sa Gye, the ML is interested in her even with all 'over-the-top antics' that come with her past identity.
The romantic comedy leans into the humor and charm, and I give all the applause to the actors potraying the leads here. It really is a one of a kind drama, where they aren't scared of going into the absurd comedy and can still come out as charming. This drama beats others out this summer by a million and proves what a good script, direction, and cast can do. It isn't flashy and showing scenes just for the sake of being pretty, this drama has detail and consistency to bring it along to something really special.
So I recommend it of course. For something similar I would watch Bon Appetit Your Majesty which is a reversal of this time-swap but unfortunately didn't stick the landing. My Royal Nemesis is entertaining and fresh enough of a concept that I see it continuing to be a good drama.

DEFINITELY GONNA REWATCH THIS
100/10 recommend. The music is amazing, the acting is top-tier, and everyone's face card is lethal. This is exactly my kind of drama—wuxia/xianxia with a healthy relationship. Watching characters actually communicate and support each other is so refreshing. The chemistry is great, the cinematography is gorgeous, and the soundtrack elevates many scenes perfectly. If you're looking for a xianxia with beautiful visuals, engaging storytelling, lovable characters, and a healthier romance than what the genre sometimes offers, I would definitely recommend giving Moonlight Mystique a try :)¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
I was disappointed
I might be too attached to Hidden Love, so I was very disappointed with this drama. Though I will say that I liked the story idea, I just found the show very slow and boring. Sure, there were parts where it got exciting, but I found the FL annoying because she kept refusing to open up to the ML, even after everything he did for her. I felt like the ML deserved better.I was especially frustrated because it felt like the FL wasn't developing as a character at all and was actually getting worse as the story went on. I kept waiting for the FL to grow from her experiences, but each time it seemed like she was about to open up, she pulled away again.
I also found the side characters boring and lacking personality. I'm not saying they were terrible—there were some really funny and cute moments between them. I just found their storylines confusing and boring, and they felt too slow for me. I really love shows with strong side characters, but this drama just wasn't doing it for me.
Of course, this is only my opinion, but I found this drama boring, lacking in character development, and ultimately disappointing. I can understand why some people enjoy this drama, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Great chemistry in this light, easy to digest story about merman looking for his soulmate
I was in the mood to watch mermaid / merman short dramas so I chose this one. I watched it on youtube because only VIP members can watch full episodes on WeTV. My Mermaid Boyfriend was fun & breezy watch. What I liked:
1. Acting - I consider chemistry as a subset of acting and wow, both leads got very good chemistry. They were in sync from the get go. I liked that they exuded warmth when on screen.
2. Plot - It is familiar, simple, easy to digest story. The water splash scene reminds me of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.
3. FL characterisation - I liked her personality. She wasn't weak girl with low self-esteem.
4. ML characterisation - He was sneaky! The first 2 episodes cracked me up.
5. Romance - Friends to lovers dynamic.
6. Styling - I liked the pink and blue clothes worn by the leads.
7. Supporting character - ML's sister was a wonderful addition. I liked her advice to ML.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonist - His arc was underdeveloped but overall he was selfish.
Favourite scene
When ML intervened in a potential fight

A Heroine With Brains and Backbone — The Heir Delivers
The Heir hooked me from the very first episode, and the glowing reviews I'd read beforehand turned out to be well deserved. What grabbed me straight away was the FL: a genuinely strong character who is sharp, entrepreneurial, and brimming with fresh ideas. She's the kind of protagonist who commands the screen: clever enough to outthink almost everyone around her, and fiercely protective when it comes to her family. She refuses to let anyone bully or belittle the people she loves, and watching her stand her ground is deeply satisfying.Beyond its lead, the drama keeps me thoroughly invested with a consistently intriguing plot. Each episode raises new questions and tensions, leaving me eager to see what comes next — that rare "just one more episode" pull that's so hard to find. The pacing, the stakes, and the way the story unfolds all work together to keep me looking forward to every new instalment.
The Heir has earned a place among my top 10 Chinese dramas of all time. If you love a heroine with brains, backbone, and heart, paired with a story that never lets your attention drift, this one is absolutely worth your time.

AMAZING
Genuinely adored this show, it had such a compelling and interesting plot I forgot it was supposed to be a comedy, still loved the absurd and dry humour though, all the main character's are so endearing they're all unique from each other and have their own flaws and their personalities aren't shrunk down by the end like a lot of shows tend to do with similar sort of bumbling characters, the chemistry between both the romantic pairings and the friendship ones was pretty natural feeling.Although there are only really two or three main songs that play throughout the show they really fit the moments and I loved hearing Creep by Radiohead in this. I do kind of wish they dug a little bit deeper with Chae-Ni's immortality as a superpower, but at the same time I really like how they didn't overuse it.
Overall I loved this show though, would love a second season!
