This drama is very dark. Every actors and actress did a great especially ML. I can fell every emotion.

Parents supposed to love and protect their children. Grandparents supposed love grandchildren more than their kids. Teachers supposed to help students no matter their background.

FL best friend so heartless toward ML for no reason. FL parents un-reasonable blame ML.

All those bullies mothers so hypocrite. Pretending to be practicing Buddha, but protect the them.

There were so many times I want to reach into the screen and take the matter into my own hands. There were so many time I want to reach into the screen and give the children a hugs.

Episodes 5 and 8 break my heart. I have to said, it justifiable what happened to those people. The last episode was killing me.

Common people had no chance going against money and powerful people.

I known he paid the price, but it comforting he took justice into his own hands. He should include those kids parents and all the drug dealers as well. He wasn’t born killer, but people made him a revenge killer. I’m ok with if he got away.

This drama tells one of the best love stories I have ever watched

Love Beyond the Grave is honestly one of the best Cdramas released in recent years. Any negativity online is just haters yapping. Many of the criticisms seem to come from people comparing a xianxia drama to a wuxia drama, which are completely different genres with different storytelling approaches.

For me, Love Beyond the Grave has one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever seen not just in Cdramas, but across television in general. I'm genuinely glad I ignored the online hate and watched it for myself.

This drama has compelling romance, stunning cinematography, excellent pacing, strong performances, engaging storytelling, impressive CGI, beautiful visuals, and an unforgettable OST, this drama delivers on all fronts.

That said, I cried so much watching this drama nobody told me prior that I will need to keep a box of tissues nearby. But every tear is worth it.

A refreshing comedy featuring a couple with great chemistry.

Episode 1: A great start, with good production, funny effects in just the right amount. A lot is edited. The acting is very good and the characters are captivating; they make you connect with them very easily. So far, the story is very good.

Episode 2: We're starting to get to know the characters more deeply. I hope it continues like this; it's very good. The supporting characters are funny and do their job well. I don't know if the story intends to address something more dramatic, but I hope so; that would be the icing on the cake. I liked the bowling scenes; the protagonists are very cute together!!!

EP 3 and 4: I liked seeing how the relationship is developing, they are learning to deal with this new situation. Doubts and challenges are also arising in the midst of this "friendship", and they need to learn how to deal with this and how to resolve it. It's really fun to watch. There's not much drama, it's light and fun. I'm delighted with both of them.
NOTE: Lal is very charismatic and witty, and Wine is the spitting image of Nantam hahahah

Episode 5: It's beautiful to see the characters "making the turn" in their relationship, and gradually falling in love.

Highly anticipated!!!

First impression: The cinematography is already breathtaking. My favorite thing about the series so far is the color gradient. The balance between warm and cool tones are well done giving the series a sense of nostalgia and familiarity.

The story: The story is something truly universal and impactful and can resonate with people across many language barriers. The big question; how is love a sin? Why would God make me this way if it was truly damming. How come when I call out; He never answers? Tan and Bart are both two very relatable characters for people who grew up around Christianity and there will be times when you can see yourself in each character.

The actors and direction: Gemini and Fourth are one of the best choices for this series. I could perhaps also envision the pair such as Chokun and Aston in a similar if not adjacent role. I admire the commitment to address such an important topic with youth as many of us who are queer and grew up in religious families have felt troubled and guilty growing up. Many of have religious trauma and are trying to heal from our experiences with being queer and religious. Growing up feeling ashamed and wrong about these feelings that we are having being “damming” and “sinful” but its just love of the same sex. You hear God loves everyone until it’s the love between two men or two women. Until you feel dissociated with the body you were born in and not the one you’re meant to be in. The immersion that I already feel with the characters are deep and feel close to myself.

Overall expectations: I truly hope that the ending is not just the first scene we get of Bart returning back to the school to watch an ordain (my assumption is that its not Tan however not confirmed.) There are of course going to be many layers to such a heavy topic and no doubt a very roller coaster ride of emotions and feelings involved. As someone who is recently no longer associated with religion and currently healing, putting aside my bias, that ending alone would feel like a cop out. Honestly no matter what the ending will be there will be no truly satisfied party. However, in days where spikes of animosity towards queer people and homophobia being still prevalent and stigmatized, I hope for a more happy ending. It shouldn’t be “unrealistic” for these two men to hold space for each other even though one is religious and the other questioning.
There is so much queer media that just ends with separation and death and yet why do we as queer people keep accepting this as the bare minimum of media we get as representation? We deserve sunshine and happy endings as much as everyone else does. As of right now I’m excited and expecting a lot and hope this story can help many young queer people feel seen and supported. And I hope others who were not supported growing up can heal.

Elite Contender For Best Bl Ever

One of the best shows/bls I ever watched. I remember the hype it got last year but never watched it (I was out of bl) but I seriously missed out on such a gem of a show. Wei truly defies expectations, he is is such a fascinating and dynamic main character for us to follow. I thought the first episode of it was very comical, and even the premise of the show is a trope within itself, yet this show just defies the sort of stale expectation. I really loved the dark introduction to Chi Cheng/ Cheng yu. It gave me that the show was gonna be dark with toxic mafia-esque tops which I LOVE mind you but I liked the layers that were pulled out of them.

Starting off with a fighting snake ring and overall understanding that Cheng is enamored by snakes and also adores them as they are his children. All of that leading with his trauma of his ex pressure from family, absolute fucking cinema. I feel like everything in this show, while the budget wasn't the best, obviously, it's like, I'm sorry, some shows can't even write this much plot twists, yet depth into their characters and growth within their characters in five or six episodes. I mean, we saw him literally kill the snake for Wei. Don't get me started on Wei and Shuai's dynamic. I love them so much. I think it just, with Shuai, he is such a light in this dark world, and it's so easy to fall in love with him, and it makes so much sense that Cheng Yu is in love with him and shines in his scenes with him and even Cheng Chi (I loved their bromance it was so funny and real). Both Cheng Yu and Shuai chemistry was so good! A good balance to Wei and Cheng Chi's. Shuai is so inviting and I was praying for even more screen time with him, with all he has experienced he is still so giving, to wei, to his community, to strangers. I have so many praises to sing about this show and how it understands its characters.

I loved the bringing back the toxic ex. He was MY messy gay. I loved what he stirred in the characters, the drama, the diva of it all. I even loved how careful the characters took care of mental health and illness, even when I wish and somewhat the dramaticness in me wanted them to stoop low (Shuai grounded Wei so much I loved their dynamic lol). So many characters just exceeded expectations, which really made them feel more human and grounded to the story. I enjoyed the pacing of this show so much as well. I think that towards the end (not way end but maybe), with the major conflict, I do think things got wrapped up a little bit quickly with a major plot point. But other than that, I'd say the pacing was amazing and it felt like we could feel the weight of the decisions and the emotions of the characters. In general I just need more time with the story cause IM GREEDYYY and need more EPISODESSS. Still, the dialogue and the couples sold me everything I needed: tears, butterflies, sexual tension, guilt, shock, everything I needddddd! The actors did their absolute fucking big one in this show. I truly think with such a variety of characters and different perspectives, they honored all of them so well and their dynamics paid off so well when the boys got together as couples. Long live Cheng Chi X Wei Wei you guys are so hot!!! And long live Cheng Yu and Shuai Shuai the best second leading couple ever. Shout out to my fav bestie bottom twins Wei Wei and Shuai Shuai I hope yall do something fruity behind your tops back for the fun of it and get a spanking 😜😜

might watch the behind the scenes now and be hella involved in this fandom cause truly this show has fixation power over me, thats how good it is. GIVE IT A TRY! you will love it and adore it as I do 💞💞 thank you for reading 💞💞

Everything is perfect.

Everything is perfect: from the story and the symbolism, to the colors, the screenplay, the settings, the attention to every details, the acting, the OST and the songs. Absolutely everything.

Many of us have been waiting for this series for almost two years, myself included, and I always believed that the wait would be worth it and that it would be rewarded. And it truly was.

This series has incredible potential and significance because of the themes it explores. One things that strikes me the most is the way these themes are handled with such sincerity and realism, at times I would even say with a certain rawness. It allows you to truly feel the discomfort and pain the characters experience in certain situations; the series is not afraid to portray difficult emotions and realities, and it is precisely this honesty that makesit even more powerful.
Its message, the reflections it inspires, and the beauty that defines it make it a work capable of moving and touching anyone. From the very first moment, it captures the viewer's attention and never lets go.

It is a series crafted with extraordinary care in every detail, from the most obvious elements to the smallest nuances. Nothing feels empty or meaningless: every moment, every word, and every gesture serves a purpose. This attention to detail makes the series even more remarkable.

We have one of the most beloved directors, P'Aof Noppharnach Chaiyahwimhon, and our beloved actors Gemini Norawit Titicharoenrak and Fourth Nattawat Jirochtikul, who have returned to our screens in the best possible way: their dedication, commitment, and determination are truly admirable. They were already talented from the, in every aspect, over the years, and this is especially evident in their performances in this series, wich are extraordinary.
From the very first episode, it is possible not to notice their ability to convey deep emotions through their eyes alone.
I'm so happy they were given such important roles to portray, and that p'Aof chose them, he has always believed in them and consistently praides and supported them, valuing their talent, I'm also so deeply impressed by their immense skill in fully immersing themselves in the characters on Barth and Tanrak; their performances give you goosebumps because they are so intense and authentic. No one could have portrayed Barth and Tanrak better that Gemini and Fourth.

I have been following them since "My School President", and watching their growth over time while growing alongside them as a fan fills me with pride and happiness.
They are both incredibly talented, and I have always believed in their abilities.

I'm over the moon and can hardly find the right words to describe how I feel.
I'm so proud of them, and the emotions I feel are so strong and profound that no words could ever truly express them.
I found myself in tears because, from the very first episode, through the combination of every element, they manage to make me feel such intense and unique emotions.

I could write entire books about this series, even though we are only at the first episode, and about them to praise everything they have accomplished, but I will stop here.

I truly believe this series will reach and move a very wide audience, including people who do not follow Gemini and Fourth or who have no particular interest in the BL world. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone.

And once again, thank you to everyone who worked on this project, you have created something truly special and beautiful <3 .

Melody of Golden Age is a gripping historical mystery thriller featuring a brilliant investigator (#DengEnxi) and a lethal commander (#DingYuxi). This marriage of convenience evolves from cold hostility into an unshakeable crime-solving alliance, proving that true romance blossoms when a powerful man learns to respect a woman's razor-sharp intellect.

The drama rejects the trope of a fragile wife dragged into court politics. Yan Shing uses her legal expertise to carve out her own authority. The narrative never treats her career as a liability or belittles her youth, boldly establishing that a woman's value lies entirely in her intellect and moral spine.

Shen Du: From High-Handed Commander to Loyal Shield
He initially presents as a terrifying, high-handed He initially presents as a terrifying, controlling commander—a sharp contrast to Duke Su’s immediate confidence. However, once he witnesses Yan Shing’s extraordinary deduction skills, his rigid walls crumble. While Duke Su operates as a shadow assassin in the dark, Shen Du acts as a formal judicial shield. He actively legitimizes her investigations, using his official guard rank to ensure she can safely hunt down clues without court interference

♟️ Yan Zhenjing: The Expansion of Justice
Her journey marks a profound transition from a cautious scribe caught in a forced marriage into a fearless defender of the law. Her empathy expands past personal survival to seek justice for innocent victims of political conspiracies. She heals Shen Du’s deep-seated familial grief through her moral clarity, evolving from a terrified pawn into an indispensable partner in truth.

🏛️ Fragile Cowards vs. Judicial Integrity
The court's corruption is driven by insecure, weak-willed officials who orchestrate brutal conspiracies purely to preserve their official ranks. In sharp contrast stands the secure masculinity of Shen Du. He completely abandons the arrogant demands of a typical ancient husband, choosing to risk his own military position to champion and protect a female officer's career and safety.🔍 Courtroom Evolution & Bruised VulnerabilityTheir connection deepens through shared blood and high-stakes trials rather than empty words. Shen Du’s icy composure completely shatters during dangerous ambushes, revealing a desperate panic underneath his terrifying reputation. Their emotional peak hits a beautiful turning point when he swerves from an authoritarian husband to an emotionally vulnerable partner, asking out of a deeply bruised heart: "Why am I the last person you think of when in need?"

❤️❤️❤️ Why this is perfect for rewatching:Every rewatch uncovers new nuances in Shen Du’s micro-expressions as his demeanor shifts from cold suspicion to fierce devotion. Whether it is her utilizing the empire's legal codes to defend his honor, or his desperate physical maneuvers to shield her during assassination attempts, every viewing reveals brilliant psychological layers. An absolute masterpiece.

E aí vem a frase:

"Você está com o cheiro da minha casa."

Aff.

Essa aqui me pegou demais 🥹🤏

I absolutely loved this series! It went way beyond what I was expecting. First off, I really enjoyed the GL couple. Lalin was such a smart, powerful CEO, and Nana was just incredible in the fight scenes. She had me cheering her on and yelling “Go girl!” Their story was super cute.

But honestly, the one who completely stole every scene was Peat. He was flawless as Kelvin. The way he shifted his expressions, sometimes tender, sometimes wild, sometimes vulnerable, was mesmerizing. I couldn’t take my eyes off his performance.

I also loved Fort as Veir. It was a more serious role for him, and he nailed it. I’ll admit though, I did miss that mischievous, gorgeous smile of his! Still, it was great that they got a storyline different from their past projects, giving them the chance to show new sides of themselves.

To be real, I was hoping for a more challenging role where they could really show the full range of their talento and they finally pulled it off! It felt so rewarding to see them get the chance to shine in roles that really matched their talent. It was the kind of payoff that makes you glad you stuck with the series. I truly hope they keep getting opportunities like this. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

boringggg

it started out okay I guess but it got boring overtime, at first I was really hooked with the whole plots but halfway through the drama I was skipping the hell out of it. the last 8 eps I used 15 minutes to watch it cause it was that boring and I didn’t miss out on anything. The OST idk about that one cause I don’t even remember hearing any music so I can’t tell if I like it or not, the casting was not too bad and can’t say for acting because I don’t care about that I just like pretty faces on my screen. the only thing I enjoyed was the kisses in eps 10 and 11 it was chef kiss and they were actually moving their lips. The ending was rushed and came randomly. I won’t say much cause I don’t want to reveal a spoiler and I don’t plan on putting a spoiler tag but that one character was so pointless just came and went all of a sudden we didn’t even need that character just fillers to prolong the episode. rewatch value is a 0. overall middd

10/10 The trick to watching...

Many compared Through the Darkness to the US series Mindhunter. Though they share some elements, they are completely different shows. One focuses on the mind of serial killers. This one focuses on the psychology of profilers.
They could not have found a better actor to portray an empath. And they couldn't have written a better script to profile the empath archetype: quiet, introverted, loner with few social connections. It's downright eerie how well the empath type was depicted. This personality type takes every emotion they're exposed to onto themselves. If they're not careful, their burden will consume them.
By contrast, the serial killers' stories were deliberately made crass and vulgar to underscore the banality of evil.
If you're going into this with a 'Korean Mindhunter' mindset, you'll likely be disappointed, like so many other commenters. But if you like intense psychological exploration, this is the show for you.

Refreshing, Unshakeable Slow-Burn Built on Mutual Respect

Set against rigid class expectations, Lighter & Princess rejects the submissive heroine trope by refusing to let parental control break Zhu Yun’s spirit. There are no exhausting misunderstandings where she acts as a helpless pawn to her mother’s demands. Her journey boldly proves that a woman's path belongs to her alone, as she actively chooses to step out of her sheltered cage to conquer her own destiny.

## 👑 Li Xun: The Raw, Authentic Genius
He is a refreshing departure from standard, high-handed male leads. Behind his prickly, defensive armor lies an absolute, secure confidence that never seeks to stifle or change Zhu Yun. Chen Feiyu brilliantly uses micro-expressions—a subtle softening of his eyes, a tight jaw—to convey a lifetime of hidden grief and fierce devotion. He respects her intellect entirely, making her his equal partner in the cutthroat tech industry rather than treating her like a fragile accessory.

## 💻 Zhu Yun: The Awakening of Independence
Her arc marks an incredible psychological evolution. She transforms from a suffocated, obedient daughter into a fearless, unshakeable force. Her emotional growth transitions beautifully from a lost girl looking for a spark into a fierce protector who stands as Li Xun’s ultimate shield. She heals his deep-seated trauma by stubbornly choosing to stay by his side, proving her loyalty is an act of profound strength.

## 🏛️ The Paradox of Controlling Parents & Envious Men
The drama exposes how high-minded principles can mask severe psychological cruelty. Zhu Yun’s mother is an elite educator who acts out of deep-seated prejudice, turning her protective instincts into a toxic, unreasonable obsession. In contrast to Li Xun’s secure masculinity, the antagonists are masterclasses in fragile egos. Gao Jianhong is a bitter, insecure friend who resort to corporate sabotage because he lacks the raw genius to stand on his own merit.

## 💻 The Masterful Slow-Burn & Digital Bond
Their connection deepens from fierce campus rivals to an unbreakable, elite coding duo. Romance here is defined by silent, everyday loyalty rather than dramatic declarations—seen when she instantly returns to rebuild his company from scratch after his release from prison. Li Xun's cool composure entirely shatters whenever her safety is threatened. Their partnership becomes a brilliant, transparent front against corporate backstabbing, anchored by his absolute devotion to her happiness.
------------------------------
⚖️ P.S. On the "Obsessive Lover" MisconceptionCritics who dismiss Zhu Yun as an "obsessive lover" completely miss her true psychological depth. Her relentless devotion to Li Xun is not a toxic, blind infatuation; rather, it stems from a profound sense of personal accountability. Because she inherently blames herself whenever she fails to protect the people she cares about, her protective actions are driven by a fierce desire to heal, safeguard, and stand as an unyielding shield for those who have been deeply wronged by the world.

This Is A Must Watch

Addicted (Heroin) is a must watch for serial BL-viewers not only for the story, which is okay, but for the history and context of BL in China in 2016.

For the story, there are a lot of tropes that other BLs have copied from Addicted. It's the story of enemies-to-lovers set in a Chinese high school, rich boy and poor boy, and family entanglement. There is a lot of one-sided and unwanted affection at the beginning, borderlining on toxicity. But just as we get consentual with our affection, the Chinese government and film production agencies slammed down on LGBTQ censorship with the final 3 episodes being lost for viewers.

In February of 2016, Addicted was the first series to experience the new Censorship rules that were enacted in December of 2015. The series was pulled from broadcasts and limited availability for international viewers. The lead actors were prohibited from appearing in media together. Even now, we are only able to watch 15 episodes of the series, which ends abruptly in the story, with no solid resolution for the characters.

Luckily for us, 9 years later, a spin off, "Love After Addiction" was made highlighting the love story for the secondary couple in Addicted. This brought back original secondary actors and was produced by a Tiwanese company to circumvent China's censorship. While the two main actors from Addicted can't appear in film together, there is a surprise wedding with unnamed "schoolmates" that give some of us a small bit of closure.

The chemistry between the two main actors is great, the relationships with their families is realistic, and its full of familiar tropes, inspiring hundreds of BL dramas for years to come.

Side note: this show has nothing to do with drugs. The original book was something like "Addicted to Heroin" because the main character's names are Hei and Luo Yin, when said together sound like the pronounciation of heroin "hei-luo-yin" in Mandarin.

Addicted was the first widely popular BL in China and is a must-see for BL fans.
