There's not much a strong "kilig" can do when the story is weak.

For Rastro / Jathea fans, the news of Glaiza de Castro and Rhian Ramos pairing up on screen again in a film was undoubtedly a cause for excitement. This reunion of the Philippines' first GL pairing had fans eagerly anticipating a well-developed romance, especially after their sizzling chemistry in "The Rich Man's Daughter." However, despite the star power and on-screen appeal of the leading ladies, the film doesn't live up to the hype.

The chemistry between Glaiza and Rhian is one of the film's strongest points. Their natural moments of banter and "kilig" make the audience root for their romance. However, even the best chemistry can only carry a story so far. The film suffers from a loose and tangled story structure. The uneven pacing and a confusing flow of events between present-day scenes and flashbacks make it hard for viewers to stay engaged. Another notable shortcomings is its lack of character depth and development. Chicks feels too shallow, while Anne, lacks a properly fleshed-out backstory that could have added layers to her story/conflict. At some point, the concept of a 'manic pixie dream girl' doesn't really carry much weight beyond just being a concept. Without well-rounded characters to invest in, it's challenging to fully engage with the story beyond the surface-level romance. Plus, this film has beautiful locations and sets. But unfortunately, they are not fully utilized to give the visual impact that it deserves.

While Rastro reunion on screen is a treat for the fans and their performances are commendable, the loose storyline and lack of character depth overshadow their efforts. They've done their best with the material given, but ultimately, the film as a whole falls short of making a lasting impact. Overall, "I Fell, It's Fine" is a bit of a letdown for fans or even anyone who seek a more engaging and well-crafted love story.

Watch the iQIYI version not Netflix

I tried watching it in Netflix as it's available there, but seriously I fast forward the whole first episodr and about to fall asleep, as it's so boring. I don't get the hype, I'm the person who watch series most after the hype. Cos many series are run in by fan hypes that the series itself has no substance.
Then I Stumble a vid that the Netflix Version and Iqiyi version is different. Noting how Netflix is too cinematic and removes the color of the series.
So I tried IQIYI and definitely enjoys it so much. i binge watch it now.
The chemistry is there, the difference of the personality of the two is top notch, the NCs are not p0rnagraphic or added for views, but by story.
Gotta say, the real mvp here are Duang Friends.

- Finished! gotta say, what makes Duang with You unique is the pure love without malice Duang gives. Many series now, although heavy in drama is just frustrating to watch cos there's much more male ego going before professing their love instead. Leads to misunderstanding and later fights. Duang with You in a sense shows a love to give, and a love to receive.

What a tragic life.

I was familiar with the movie so I was extremely excited for the show and what can I say, I'm not dissapointed at all. Human vapor was able to emcompass the suspense and thrillering sentiment of the movie whilst bringing up a new touch, something fresh.

The acting was fabulous and I was quite impressed by the actor palying "Uncle Ren", he was really great and had the perfect physical to play the human vapor imho. The music was also great and when it comes to the pacing, it was sometimes a bit slow but it never was enough to make me lose interest.

The overall story is tragic and sad....Uncle Ren died tragically because he wanted to save and live with Kyoko but even in death, he was not able to rest in peace. The actions he did as the human vapor were so drastically opposite to whom human Ren was, which made them even more heartwrenching but the pain Kyoko felt and endured all her life pushed her to the extreme. I could understand her although i think she went the wrong way with this type of revenge. Argh, so sad and unfair :( but i guess at the end, they were, at last, together forever.

Either way, this is a great show and i recommend it!

Absolutely Masterful! The East Palace is a Must-Watch 10/10

The East Palace is easily one of the best K-dramas I’ve watched recently. Ever since I saw the trailer, my expectations were high because it dives into themes I love, the afterlife, ghosts, and curses. From the very first episode, it completely hooked me, and at just 8 episodes, it's perfect for a weekend binge-watch. It is so worth it!

Synopsis & Premise:
The story revolves around a dangerous, high-stakes mystery: when the Crown Prince is found dead under mysterious circumstances, a 30-year-old deadly curse threatens to wipe out the royal bloodline. To save his remaining heir and lift the curse, the King secretly summons Gu-cheon, a cynical ghost slayer forced into service under threat of execution. To eliminate the spirit haunting the palace, Gu-cheon must physically cross into the Realm of Gwi (the spirit world), a perilous feat that requires him to near-fatally submerge himself and temporarily die to enter the other realm. Meanwhile, in the living world, Saeng-gang navigates high-stakes royal politics to unravel decades of buried secrets and investigate her own past.

Production & Visuals:
The production value is top-tier. The special effects are incredible, and the cinematography is simply stunning, every frame looks like a work of art. The transitions between the two realms are seamlessly executed without ever losing their narrative impact. Paired with a brilliant soundtrack that perfectly captures the mood of every scene, the visual and auditory experience is easily among the best I’ve seen in a K-drama recently.

Plot & Pacing:
The storytelling is fantastic. While the drama gives us an idea of who the villains are early on, it keeps its cards close to its chest. Instead of resolving everything at once, layer after layer is unveiled, with each revelation leading directly into another hidden secret beneath. There were so many great surprises along the way!

Cast & Characters:
The acting across the entire cast is exceptional. Nam Joo-hyuk delivers a brilliant performance as Gu-cheon; he isn't your typical noble hero driven by honor. Traumatized by his past and hardened by the dark spirit world, he is a cynical, world-weary ghost slayer who only takes on this perilous mission because he is forced to. Roh Yoon-seo is fantastic as Saeng-gang, fortunately, she avoids the trope of being the typical female sidekick who only exists to look impressed while the hero saves the day. She is actually the anchor holding the entire investigation together. While Gu-cheon fights spirits, Saeng-gang untangles court intrigue, hidden motives, and palace politics. The rest of the supporting cast also does a magnificent job, bringing immense depth to the series.

Also, I have to give a special shoutout to Kkeomeoksari, the adorable creature following Gu-cheon everywhere. It stole every single scene it was in and quickly became one of my absolute favorite parts of the show!

Final Thoughts:
The East Palace is a captivating masterpiece from start to finish. Are there strong chances for a Season 2? Honestly, I really hope so! If you are looking for a captivating story with top-notch production quality and brilliant performances, this is an absolute must-watch.

Keeps you hooked till the very end

Honestly I went into watching this series without any former knowledge of the actors and the story at all. So I didn't expect too much from it but it was a pleasant surprise.

The series keeps you entertained from the very first moment till the very last. It is the perfect combination of bl and thriller. The visual effects, the cinematography and the music are excellent. The acting is great too, but you can definitely tell the differences between some of them. If I have to choose someone I would probably say Pavel's acting is the most standing out, out of all of them.

Altough I really enjoyed watching the whole series there's some things that could've been better.
The plot twist wasn't really that big of a plot twist to me to be honest. I was expecting something different, more unexpected. Also I feel like the last 2-3 episodes could've been made into just 1. I felt kinda frustrated how they wasted so much time and weren't really rushing to catch the killers in time. I liked it tho that there were so much happening even in the last episode

It's definitely not a perfectly executed story, but I think it's definitely worth a watch. I really reccomend this if you watched Khemjira and you're looking for something similar in vibes and quality. You'll definitely get hooked as much as me

Satire with a Lot to Chew On

I thoroughly enjoyed being brought into the lives of these characters. Xiao Fang is a sharp spoof on contemporary societal expectations, strict gender roles, modern parenting that infantilizes children. It comments on the financial costs and transactional nature of modern marriage, contemporary childrearing, and the fallout from demographic policies that resulted in men with no prospects for finding partners. Are women finally having a moment? This narrative is an empowering story of a younger generation reclaiming its agency.

The series exposes cliché advice from older generations—such as the romanticized notion that "when people are poor, love is pure." The story presents a darker reality: money is a necessity in marriage, and genuine love may be a luxury. Another fallacy: the assumption that transactional arrangements cannot succeed. When partners share values and learn to understand and respect each other as they navigate life together, even a pragmatic arrangement can end in a loving relationship.

I loved the setting and the thoughtful portrayal of rural communities being renewed and valued as repositories of a treasured way of life. Furthermore, the handling of the male lead’s deceitful, noxious, and manipulative father - the way the narrative forces him to finally see himself clearly—was spot on.

The ending was grounded in reality - bittersweet yet hopeful. Altogether, Xiao Fang provides a compelling, enjoyable narrative elevated by natural, precise acting.

A story of love beautifully told

It’s rare to watch a Chinese drama where the writing, directing, screenplay, and performances sustain a steadily growing intensity from beginning to end. Too often, C-dramas start with tremendous promise, lose momentum halfway through, and stumble toward a rushed or unsatisfying conclusion. Blossoms of Power is one of the rare exceptions. Every episode builds naturally upon the last, making the final payoff feel completely earned.

The female lead is undoubtedly the heart of the series. Rather than serving as a supporting figure to the male protagonist, she commands every scene with intelligence, confidence, and emotional depth. Her relationship with the Crown Prince is equally refreshing. He follows her lead not out of weakness, but out of admiration, trust, and genuine love, creating one of the healthiest and most balanced partnerships I’ve seen in a palace drama.

What impressed me most was how unpredictable the story remained until the very end. Just when I thought I knew where it was heading, the writers managed to surprise me with an ending that was both satisfying and emotionally rewarding. In an era where many recent C-dramas have settled for recycled plots and mediocre storytelling, Blossoms of Power reminds us how compelling the genre can be when the script is given the attention it deserves.

I rarely feel the urge to rewatch a drama, but this is one I’ll gladly revisit. In many ways, I found it even more convincing than the highly praised Pursuit of Jade. The heroine possesses no supernatural abilities or exaggerated martial arts skills. Her greatest gift is an extraordinary sense of smell, yet she skillfully navigates the dangerous complexities of palace politics, earns the respect and affection of multiple princes, and never loses sight of her purpose. That, to me, is what makes a truly compelling female lead. Her strength comes from intelligence, resilience, and composure, not from impossible feats of acrobatics.

Another welcome surprise is the production itself. The series avoids excessive CGI and over-the-top wire-fu that often distract from the story. Instead, it invests in believable performances, thoughtful character development, and carefully crafted political intrigue. The result is a drama that feels grounded, emotionally engaging, and consistently rewarding.

Most importantly, Blossoms of Power delivers something increasingly rare: a beautiful, well-earned, and thoroughly satisfying ending. It never loses sight of its characters or its story, making it one of the finest palace dramas I’ve watched in recent years.

Here's another Japanese BL that totally flew under my radar but completely won me over. I have to admit, Japanese BLs have this emotional subtlety when it comes to storytelling. It's like they can see right through the characters' souls, and I absolutely love that.

It's about a friendship that starts with a shared passion for photography and slowly turns into something more. Minato is described as quiet and a bit scary, but Wataru is able to look past that exterior and see the sensitive soul Minato reveals through his photos. What I love most about this show is that the love was always there from the very beginning, even before they had the courage to admit it. It's all in the lingering glances, the little everyday acts of kindness, the sadness of the empty apartment when they graduate, and the pure emotion of their reunion. I also really love Minato's relationship with his grandparents.

Yoshizawa Kaname and Amemiya Kakeru brought exactly the kind of nuance their characters needed, and their performances are definitely the highlight of the show

El encanto de no encajar

Pavane es una comedia coreana de ritmo pausado que probablemente conecte más con quienes disfrutan del cine independiente y las historias que encuentran belleza en lo cotidiano. No busca deslumbrar con una gran producción, sino con una narrativa sencilla, original y personajes tan solitarios como entrañables.

Por momentos me vi reflejada como otra nerd solitaria en un mundo de personas que solo intentan encontrar su lugar. Esa sensación de no encajar, pero seguir buscando un espacio propio, es lo que más me llegó de la película.

Su final, con un aire casi teatral, puede sorprender, pero encaja perfectamente con el tono y la historia que construye desde el principio. Una película pequeña, sincera y con mucho más corazón de lo que aparenta.

♡ENTERTAINING, BELLY ROLLING LAUGH, NEED SEASON 2!!!!!♡

I normally do not write reviews but i created an account just to write a review under these series, LORD i had sooooo much fun watching it!!!!!! if youre anticipating wether you should watch it or not, PLEASE DO! the plot is absolutely amazing its a lighthearted romantic comedy about a student having a crush on her teacher and man did the directors absolutely deliver on this. They gave us everything without making the relationship between the teacher and student weird, while also giving a hopeful ending. This show felt like home to me, all of the characters are so charming (and relatable) with their own little unique flairs. ALSO!!!!! no boring episodes, at all!!!! theres always something happening. i mean this show was so cozy to me that i cried when i finished it (happy tears) i think the little snowing detail at the end of the story was so cute and gave me hope that possibly in the future when shes all grown up and mature, they can date. other than all this it was absolutely hilarious!!!!!! we need a season 2!!! SO SO BAD.❄︎

Five Episodes In, and I'm Already Hooked!!!

They UNDERSTOOD the assignment. #GeniusGirlfriend is already shaping up to be one of this year's most refreshing youth C-dramas. The first five episodes strike a perfect balance between coming-of-age, friendship, romance, and academic competition without making any part feel forced.

Lin Zhixia and Jiang Yubai have such a natural, effortless dynamic that every interaction feels genuine, whether they're competing in class or quietly looking out for each other. Instead of relying on exaggerated misunderstandings, the drama lets its characters grow through small but meaningful moments, making the emotional beats land even harder.

Tian Xiwei, (first time watching her dramas btw), I can now see why she's one of the strongest actresses in youth romances, while Hu Yitian (one of my fav c actors) delivers one of his warmest and most charming performances in years.

The pacing has been consistently engaging, the school atmosphere feels nostalgic, and the supporting cast already adds plenty of heart and humor.

Five episodes in, Genius Girlfriend has completely lived up to the pre-release hype, and if it maintains this quality, it could easily become one of the standout campus romances of 2026.

Unique, heroic, tragic, destiny, redemption…worth watching

Hope there was a tent with drip IVs for the main actors because I’ve never everevereverrr seen so many tears dripping down like rain and rivers of emotion. I was right there with them some of the time. If you don’t blubber floods of hot tears at least 1x when Hou Minghao’s haunting “Yuanzhou’s Youth” plays then you might be a soulless monster. Off to the Wilderness with you :)

FoF broadcasts what you’re in for very clearly in the first few episodes, so it’s no spoiler to say…listen. And enjoy this often beautiful and poetic journey.

Tragic and visually stunning from the very beginning. Thoughtful words on the nature of good and evil, of choice, of love, and the importance of a humble light in the darkness. Big, bombastic, colorful fight scenes that are cinematic eye candy. Plus a soundtrack that plays in your mind constantly.

I was surprised that as this story went on, the nice but super square/one dimensional hero Zhou Yichen became so much deeper, bursting with layers of emotion and rivaling Hou Minghao’s sly, dry humored, impish and very easy -to-adore great demon. I hope Zhou Yichen’s actor sends the director a thank you card every Valentine’s Day, cuz it became allllll about him and less about HMH’s demon in last half. The bromance chemistry between the 2 male leads is way stronger from start to finish than the chaste love romance between ML/FL (which isn’t very romantic at all).

Evil and good, the nature of control and destiny vs free will…it’s deep without being preachy or so heavy that it’s not a blast to watch. But man, I had tears falling all through it (but NOT the kind that drags you down and makes the whole experience a downer, for the most part).

Took off a star because it went on much longer than needed. Could have ended perfectly at end of ep 27. Or mayyyybe another two or three well edited eps past that, but not seven. It began to lag, drag, and get TOO pointlessly over the top melodramatic in last few eps. I really missed the demon-of-the-week type of format of the earlier eps, and a truly memorable villain (there is one, but yawn) in the later part. The strong team aspect of it, which was so great in first half, began to splinter off later on, the characters stagnated, some of the team had nothing interesting to do (this also applies to FL character) or they were absent/off on individual tangents, etc.

There’s a 26 minute epilogue/extra episode after the official 34-episode run. Definitely watch it :)
