Did not sign up for fantasy

I didn't like the fantasy part of the story one bit.
Other girl completely gone and new girl is here.
What? Huh? Yeah didn't like that at all.

Why did I stay regardless of the fantasy that I did not like? Well He Yu of course. The way he stares it was hard to drop this even though the story was ridiculous.

FL wanted to fall in love. Okay gotcha.
ML decides to get her to love him. Which took forever. Her reason for marrying was to marry someone she loves. How can she when she was so cold for long. Whatever I guess.. I overlooked it and kept watching.

The moment fl finally says her feelings I already stopped caring and was just watching to just watch.

As the story kept going the annoying 2ml just couldn't get why fl didn't want him. His story dragged until the end. Very tiring that I fell asleep and woke up on the last episode.

The acting really wasn't that great emotionally.
Don't know maybe because I already watched the best crying scenes recently in another drama... that these crying scenes on this drama didn't impress me. Just staring at my screen emotionless while the actors cried or looked sad. Felt nothing for these characters what a shame.

Another long drama that dragged on!

Through the Wringer, Worth the Ride

Blossoms of Power is the kind of drama that sweeps you up from the very first episode and refuses to let go. With Meng Zi Yi and He Yu leading the cast, the performances are exceptional — strong, nuanced, and perfectly matched. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the supporting cast adds depth, with villains and allies who each leave a mark.

This drama put me through the wringer. It dragged me through heartbreak, but it gave me one of the most magnificent love stories I’ve ever seen. I am dehydrated, exhausted, but elated.

What makes this drama stand out is how it balances grandeur and intimacy. The palace intrigue, the battles of power, and the looming shadows of fate are all gripping, but it’s the emotional core — devotion, resilience, and love tested by impossible odds — that makes it unforgettable.

I recommend Blossoms of Power wholeheartedly, but with one warning: brace yourself. This is not a drama you simply watch; it’s one you feel. Keep a box of tissues nearby, because the tears will come — from sorrow, from joy, and from sheer relief. This drama shattered me and then put me back together again. I would certainly watch it again.

It was fun but not mind blowing.

I sadly couldn't find this movie in top quality so I will not judge it based on its quality. It's from 2014 after all. Anyways, I quite liked this movie. It was really fun but I did get bored through the ending of the movie. I loveeeee this losers in love trope and I feel like 'May Who?' really done that right.

The movie itself is extremely original, with the plot being about May Nai who has 'super powers'. What I liked the most about the movie is instead of making her a super hero like character, they showed her struggles. She was disappointed in herself multiple times and I love how Pong always cheered her up. Him drawing her to cheer her up was just soooo adorable. I genuinely can't believe it took them that long to realise their feelings.

I feel like there was a lack on the relationship side. Both Pong and May were interested in someone else, but their love for each other was really undeniable. At some point towards the ending of the movie I was actually thinking Pong and May would stay friends and that the movie was about friendship. I have to admit I really enjoyed May and Fame, but not Pong and Mink. May and Fame had obviously returning feelings for each other, meanwhile ever since the beginning it was clear that Mink had no interest in Pong. I was excepting May and Fame to end up together. I have to admit that I didn't trust Fame at first because he seems a bit like a play boy who just tries to play with other people their feelings.,

I really like how they used the combination of 3d art and traditional art. Pong can for real draw extremely good and I love his art style. I also like how he expressed himself a lot through his art. The 3d parts were really fun and not 'weird looking' at all. It felt like I was taken into the story of the drawing itself.

Crazy how much I've seen off the actors without realising. I've seen Punpun Sutatta in a lot of series and I actually am a big fan of Tor Thanapob, he was amazing in spare me your mercy. The director Moo Chayanop also has made amazing movies like the red envelope and Suck Seed. I actually already recognised the style of Suck Seed a bit through the poster, that was also my reason for watching this movie. For the rest, I did not recognise much of the cast, which I normally do with Thai series/movies and I really like getting to know some new actors.

That ending was fun and it feels very open. I mean they do try to kinda make it clear that Pong and May choose each other but you could always think the other way around. Whether they end up together or not, this is an amazing movie on friends > lovers. I really like this. Yes, my review is a bit low but that's probably because the movie is not for my age and it did bore me at some point.

One of my most anticipated dramas that fell flat

I was very excited for this since last year (if my pfp of Meng Ziyi as FL I've had since making this acc didn't make that clear enough) but going in only the first 10 episodes managed to hold my attention but I was a little disappointed with the rest. The writing felt weak and most characters didn't make much sense to me :(

Before I rant, let me praise the cinematography first. I really liked a lot of the camera shots and the color grading. It was very pleasing to the eye with the warm, autumn-like feel in many scenes.

I also loved Fan Shuaiqi's character (fun fact: my newly made tumblr acc went viral cuz of her, seems like I ain't the only one who loves her 👅👅) and I really enjoyed Cui Jinbai and Bu Shilan's love story development, although I do have to admit I nearly cringed when they finally got together because this drama was full of cliché moments. I also loved Xihe's and Bu Shilan's sisterhood, one of my fav things in this drama probably. Another cp I found really interesting was the 4th Prince and Li Yanhui. And tbh I feel like all these side couple had more potential than the main one, but they also fell short because of the incohesive plot and the number of episodes.

Onto the writing: very weak imo and there were just way too many plotholes. Like the drama introduced interesting ideas but never managed to flesh them out properly and it became more frustrating over time...

For one, the rebirth subplot: In the very 1st episode we know that Gu Qingzhi is reborn as Shen Xihe, but first of all we barely get any of her backstory. The FL also seems to have all the information she needs ready from the start. Like she transmigrated into another body, yet she somehow already knows exactly what to do even though she shouldn't have the OG Shen Xihe's memories. It was never really explained.

Another thing that didn't make sense (although entertaining) was how not only the Crown Prince fell head over heels for her, after the only thing that happened between them was him giving her her the Immortal Vine, but also almost every other prince. Didn't get how she had them all wrapped around her finger when they barely interacted and she kept rejecting their advances lmao.

A lot of the story and many antagonists also felt like they only existed to make the FL look smarter rather than actually making sense. She was way too perfect and the story gave her way too much agency. She was always several steps ahead of everyone else's plans and I know we have these typa FLs in lots of dramas but this one, I just found unbelievable. (Even the way she outsmarted Consort Rong felt too convenient??)

I also would've appreciated it more if the villains had more explained motivations. Instead their backstories are dumped on us in the end like the writers expected us to be shocked, but it didn't hit the way it was supposed to. That's why I also didn't really feel anything during the supposedly "emotional" moments.

Another thing that bothered me is the ML's poisoning. The story starts by making us think this investigation is gonna be an important subplot, but we barely get anything until the last few episodes. Then suddenly we find out who the real culprit is, but it's super underwhelming. Instead of weaving this mystery throughout the drama, they just drop the reveal at the end like a bomb but still, the payoff didn't hit smh... Also, wdym he resurrected from the dead with zero explanation???

Acting-wise it wasn't the best but not the worst either. I really like Meng Ziyi but the only drama where I found her acting natural was Blossom (not sure if it's cuz I'm biased toward that drama tho lol) but that's why I felt the chemistry between the leads was lacking here.

Whole thing just ended up feeling like your average historical idol drama. We had the reborn FL scheming her way through the Inner Court, tons of fanservice, and then as always the rebels stage a coup at the end just to lose. Ig the only thing I found realistic abt it was the 5th Prince doing all this to pave the way for the FL. He was one of the best writtten characters, with his actions being driven by his possessive obsession with his late wife, which ACTUALLY made sense, but still felt way too convenient, like the writers didn't have anymore time to explain, so that was the end of it (...he was crazy tho ngl)

7/10 tho since it was interesting enough to keep watching but I just kept shrugging and sighing along the way 🗿

Anyway the OST delivered as always. Idk if it's because I had been anticipating this drama for so long that it ended up feeling more underwhelming than it would've but these are just my opinions, so take them with a grain of salt :D

A Drama About Love Disguised as a Spy Thriller

Agent Kim Reactivated is a revenge-action thriller about Kim Do-Hyeon (Manager Kim), a retired covert operative who is forced to reactivate his old identity when his daughter disappears. But beneath the espionage, conspiracies, gangsters, betrayals, and political games is a story about human bonds and what people are willing to sacrifice for one another.
On paper, the plot sounds familiar. Kim Do-Hyeon lives a quiet life as a bank manager and single father after abandoning a dangerous life as an elite operative. When his daughter is abducted, he resurrects the skills and identity he buried years ago to save her. What makes the drama work, however, is that the rescue itself becomes a vehicle for exploring several different kinds of relationships: parent and child, friendship and brotherhood, loyalty between comrades, loyalty to country, loyalty to principles, and the betrayal of those loyalties by institutions.

The show repeatedly asks a simple but powerful question; what is loyalty worth if the people you are loyal to treat you as expendable? Governments, intelligence services, criminal organizations, and powerful businessmen all speak about loyalty and sacrifice. Yet many of them casually discard the very people who gave everything to them. Meanwhile, the strongest forms of loyalty come not from institutions but from ordinary human relationships. That contrast is, in my opinion, the real emotional engine of the drama.

As for the acting, it is no surprise that So Ji-sub is the soul of the series. True to form, his greatest strength here is not the action scenes, though those are excellent, but his ability to communicate pain, exhaustion, regret, and determination with very little dialogue. He conveys everything, especially in the moments that matter most, through his expressions and presence alone. Kim Do-Hyeon is not portrayed as an invincible action hero. He is a grieving husband, a frightened father, and, most of all, a man constantly questioning whether his past destroyed any chance of a normal life.

For me, the most memorable scenes are not always the fights. They are the moments where you can see a father realizing that the quiet life he built for his daughter may never have been enough to protect her. There is an almost tragic quality to Kim. He is not fighting because he enjoys violence or because he misses being Agent 66. He is fighting because he has run out of alternatives. That distinction gives the drama tremendous emotional depth.

One of the strongest aspects of the series is the friendship between Kim Do-Hyeon, Seong Han-su, and Park Jin-Cheol. What I especially appreciated is that Kim does not have to carry the entire drama on his shoulders. Many spy dramas focus on romantic chemistry. Agent Kim Reactivated's strongest chemistry is actually between these three middle-aged men. Their relationship feels earned. These are not friends because the script tells us they are friends. They are men who have shared trauma, shared missions, shared losses, and years of silence. When Kim needs help, they do not stop to ask whether helping him is wise. They simply show up. That is one of the drama's recurring messages: love is an action; loyalty is an action. Not a feeling. Not a speech. An action. Their friendship becomes a direct challenge to the selfishness and corruption surrounding them. In a world where institutions repeatedly fail people, these men prove that genuine loyalty still exists.

As far as I am concerned, the reason the stakes feel real is that Min-ji could easily have become a simple "kidnapped daughter" plot device. Instead, she represents everything Kim spent fifteen years protecting. She is his future, his redemption, his promise to his late wife, and the reason he abandoned his former life and chose family over service to country. That is why the story ultimately becomes a battle between two identities: the agent and the father. What makes the drama so compelling is that Kim rediscovers Agent 66 because he is a father, not in spite of it. His love for his daughter becomes stronger than his desire to remain hidden.

Many reviews I read before the drama ended focused on its geopolitical elements and viewed it primarily as a thriller involving North and South Korean intelligence. To me, however, the political conflict is largely symbolic. Throughout the series, we see how agents are used by governments, how operatives are treated as disposable assets, how allegiances shift, and how secrets destroy lives. We see institutions demand sacrifice while rarely repaying those who make it. What I admire most is how the drama quietly asks whether loyalty to a nation should outweigh loyalty to the people we love. The answer it provides is surprisingly humanistic. The characters who survive emotionally are the ones who prioritize people over systems. The villains often do the opposite. Even when they seem to flourish, their victories are temporary because they have sacrificed their humanity in pursuit of power.

I would be remiss not to discuss the action because it deserves considerable praise. The action works because it reflects character rather than existing solely for spectacle. The drama never presents Kim as a young superhero. Every fight feels brutal, personal, and costly. When he fights, it is usually because his daughter is in danger, his friends are threatened, or someone vulnerable needs protection. The violence therefore carries emotional weight. It is not entertainment for its own sake. It is an expression of desperation, fear, and determination.

I think one of the biggest reasons for the drama's success is the chemistry among the cast. The father-daughter relationship between So Ji-sub and Seo Su-min grounds the series emotionally. Even when they spend much of the story apart, their emotional connection remains the driving force behind every decision Kim makes. Equally impressive is the chemistry between So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, and Yoon Kyung-ho. Together, they create a completely believable sense of lifelong camaraderie and trust. Their friendship feels authentic because it is built on shared history, mutual respect, and unwavering loyalty.

The antagonists are equally effective because they embody different forms of corruption: power without responsibility, loyalty without morality, and authority without compassion. They are not merely obstacles for the heroes to overcome. They represent the cold systems that place ordinary people in danger and then treat them as expendable.
If someone asked me what Agent Kim Reactivated is about, I would not say it is a story about a retired spy rescuing his daughter. I would say it is a story about a man discovering that the relationships he built are worth more than the identity he sacrificed. The series argues that family is not defined solely by blood. Friendship can become a form of family. Loyalty must be earned rather than demanded. Love is measured through sacrifice. Governments, agencies, and organizations often forget the human cost of their decisions, but individuals do not.

In the end, Agent Kim Reactivated is not really a spy story. It is a story about people who refuse to abandon those they love, even when doing so would be easier, safer, or more rational. The spies, conspiracies, and action are simply the framework. The real story is about the bonds that survive betrayal, time, distance, and even war. And that is why the drama resonates long after the final fight is over. I, for one, look forward to a second season.

Shameless Crown Prince Falls for His Ice-Cold Crown Princess

Blossoms of Power (百花杀) is a historical Chinese drama starring Meng Ziyi and He Yu. It blends palace intrigue, political strategy, revenge, and romance into a fast-moving story.
👍🏻Likes:
🩷Shen Xihe is intelligent, calm, and highly strategic. Instead of waiting to be rescued, she takes control of her own fate, making her one of the drama's greatest strengths. I loved that she was always one step ahead and never relied on others to solve her problems. Meng Ziyi delivers a convincing performance as the determined heroine. She portrays her character with confidence, intelligence, and emotional depth, making it easy to connect with her journey.
🩷I really liked He Yu's portrayal of Crown Prince Xiao Huayong. His screen presence was incredible, and his performance made me become a fan of his acting all over again. 🥹✨I especially loved how shamelessly and persistently he pursued Shen Xihe. 🤭💕 The way he slowly won her heart without ever giving up was so enjoyable to watch. Their interactions had great chemistry.
🩷The court politics are engaging, with plenty of twists, shifting alliances, and power struggles that keep the story exciting and constantly moving forward. Every political move and scheme adds tension, making it hard to predict what will happen next.
🩷The costumes, palace sets, and cinematography are absolutely stunning. Every scene feels grand, elegant, and beautifully crafted, making each episode visually captivating. The attention to detail in the costumes and production design adds so much to the overall atmosphere, giving the drama a truly cinematic feel. ✨🏯🎬
🩷I must say I really liked Lai Weiming's portrayal of Prince Lei. He did an amazing job with the character. 🥹✨At first, I honestly thought Prince Lei would turn into an obsessive and possessive second male lead, but I'm so glad the character didn't go in that direction. Instead, I really appreciated how he accepted his unrequited feelings for Shen Xihe, chose to let go gracefully, and sincerely wished for her happiness. That made me respect his character even more. ❤️And haha, I was actually shipping him with Shen Xihe's half-sister, Shen Yingrou, but that ship sank before it could even set sail. 😂🚢💔

👎🏻Dislikes
💔I like that the romance develops gradually, though at times I find the slow pace a little frustrating.
💔Another character I had mixed feelings about was Jeremy Xu's character Prince Xin. Even though the drama revealed his reason for committing treason in the second-last episode, I wasn't fully convinced by how his character was written. To me, Prince Xin didn't contribute much to the overall story. Most of his screen time revolved around his possessiveness and obsession, and I feel the writers could have developed his character much better by giving him more depth and a stronger role in the plot. Jeremy Xu delivered a solid performance with what he was given, but I think the screenplay let his character down. Interestingly, he also played an obsessive second male lead in *Love of Nirvana*. I hope he gets to take on more diverse and well-written roles in the future instead of being typecast in similar characters.

✨Final verdict
If you enjoy dramas like The Double, Story of Kunning Palace, or Blossom, Blossoms of Power is well worth watching. It stands out for its smart heroine, intricate political plotting, and high production quality. While it isn't perfect, it's one of the stronger historical C-dramas of 2026 so far.

BEST PART: Visual & Moody Elements (9.5)
Cinematography enlightens the viewers' hearts by setting scenes in the most captivating and intriguing colors. In my opinion, the team of Thai and Korean production professionals succeeded in the expression of ANGST and despair, while also leaving room for soft and romantic moments. Overall, the vibe is quite dark, but there is some relief from this darkness through colorful and bittersweet comedic sequences. Just exciting to watch all these creative and bold motives that were introduced by "Payback". It´s a real payback of the time and subscription fees paid to watch the series.

GOOD and INTRIGUING ACTING (9.0)
Toptap and Min nailed even the most micro-expressive parts. To me, Toptap's skill is to express strong emotions with lasting glares - telling an entire story just with a glimpse; Sometimes he made me feel like I´ve interrupted a significant moment of self-revelation. Shogun, Fuaiz and Khunnote were similarly able to capture my floating attention. Hope to see more of their acting in future series.

WEAKNESS:
Could be traced back to my attention span and amount of time invested in similar series (plot-wise), but sometimes I felt a bit lost with all the information in long dialogues - I take this as motivation to improve my concentration again. Additionally, I might have an unresolved personal trigger with Sun´s disheartened and stoic personality. However, I can very much understand what has caused him to have serious difficulties expressing himself and allowing himself to experience happiness.

PAYBACK is a strong player in this year's publications.

Fun and easy to watch!

This show for me feels like a sitcom, unhinged over the top comedy, fun interactions between the characters with different scenarios in none chronologically arranged episodes.

If follows the story of an idol turned actor who faces critism for his acting, he auditions for a role in a musical theatre troupe to improve on his skills.

The story follows his growth and interactions with the rest of the members as well as his romance with the director who he actually has incredible chemistry with.

like I said it's a fun show, no groundbreaking masterpiece but in its category it's interesting.

Look Sparkly But Lacks Proper Substance

Positive Points
1. The cinematography, direction, color grading and editing were top-notch. A big thanks to the screenwriter for not misleading the viewers, as quite a few dramas did in the name of drama adaptation this year. The screenwriter changed quite a few things, but the main essence of the story was not destroyed. Though I have quite a few complaints with a few things, this adaptation can truly be called the drama adaptation of the original novel.
2. The cast was good, and quite a few known faces were there. Though I was not quite satisfied with Meng Zi Yi's acting, the rest of the cast did well. He Yu was the perfect guy to play the pretending-to-be-sickly, harmless, flirty, but actually scheming and manipulating everything from behind-the-scenes type crown prince. I can not name all, but quite a few of the supporting cast have got my attention, especially the actress playing Bu Shu Lin. She is the only woman I believed was a man.
3. The pacing of the story was good, and though it felt a bit dragged towards the middle, it ended well.

Negative Points

1. ML has been toned down a lot, and he is mostly shown as a love-brained, which is ridiculous. In a female-centric drama, what is this obsession with the screenwriter to show the ML as an incompetent, love-brained guy? Why can he not be sane as well just because he fell in love? I am not asking the writer to give too much focus on the ML, but at least give something to the viewers so that the ML to look incompetent. That chasing track of Bu Shulin was such a nice well-written track that gave everyone a spot to shine, but it was toned down a lot. Bu Shulin, Crown Prince, and the King and all other princes were all given their own stage. But the screenwriter had to make everything about the FL. Xiao Huayong is a complex character. He is not a love-obsessed guy at all. He loves the FL and yet did not lose his ruthlessness, and neither his vision as the future emperor. He knows where to control and where to use his soft-heartedness. It was such an elaborately written track but the drama toned down both Bu Shulin's capability, Xiao Huayong's testing Bu Shulin's capability, and saving her from the emperor and Shen Xihe's growing softness and the ML's mixed feelings about it. He was drawn to Shen Xihe's character but he neither turned soft-hearted nor did he lose his senses in love. Such a good thing was downplayed and ruined his character for me. ML being portrayed as a capable leader but hardly doing anything all the time and acting as a drama queen is quite inconsistent. As much as I loved his drama-queen sickly prince acting it would have been amazing to see him scheming too. The lack of it has totally affected his character for me.

2. That dividing the bed with the bell also did not make sense, considering Shen Xihe's character. She is decisive and emotionless right from the start. Once she makes a decision, she does not get back from her decision, nor does she make the other party (ML) incur a loss. She believes in trade, and it was normal to want a child that will help her secure her position as the mother of the future king, as her husband won't live long. So this useless bell thing does not make any sense to be honest. It just dragged the plot for me. Her being in love with her husband had to happen naturally. But going all the ways and dragging it out feels rather forced to me. There was no chemistry between the actors. That spark was missing in their love story, and I failed to connect to their story. Rather, I felt the 2nd ML & 2nd FL had better chemistry.

3. There is not much political scheming in this drama. I thought it would be a drama about succession struggle, and I was highly disappointed. The joint scheming between the ML & FL was completely left out in the drama, and their relationship felt quite boring to me. Their joint scheming was something I was looking forward in the drama. But all I got to see was the ML suddenly devoting his life for the FL and spending all the time in wooing her and the FL playing all hard to get. She did not feel like a character who was cold-hearted and was maintaining rationality for her well-being due to the representation of her character in the drama. What was the FL doing in the middle of a battlefield without battle gear and just came to shoot a single arrow. How ridiculous. I know it was to create a romantic atmosphere, but it didnot make any sense to me.

4. Meng Zi Yi is decent only in serious scenes but her expressions are very limited in other scenes. Especially since she has started to warm up to her husband, her expression was not up to par and sometimes even felt a bit cringy. Lately, all of her roles seem similar and in many of her future dramas she is likely playing a similar role. She at least needs to learn how to perfect acting for such roles since she is playing similar roles for quite some time.

5. Left too many things unexplained. Instead of the leads' joint scheming and cooperation, most of the time was spent on the ML wooing the FL. Why no mention of how the ML faked his death and how he reacted knowing the biggest truth of his life about who poisoned him?

Overall, if you do not like political scheming but rather cheesy romance, then you might like it. Otherwise, you would be disappointed like me.

Floraison du pouvoir avec quelques épines…

Blossoms of Power est une histoire aux intrigues classiques et à la romance qui fleurit lentement, mais rythmée avec des personnages émotionnellement forts, en dépit d'un final forcé.

Xiao Hua Hong (He Yu) s'est emparé de la première place de ma liste de mes ML favoris. Je reconnais également que le charme de He Yu y est pour quelque chose. J'aime sa prestance, cette cicatrice sous l'œil, son sourire et les émotions qui chamboulent à la fois son visage et son regard. C'est une interprétation qui ne laisse pas indifférente, suscitant toujours une émotion. Il est calculateur et vif, mais s'éloigne du personnage stoïque et froid. Au contraire, il se révèle prévoyant et chaleureux, rusé et animé d'un amour profond. Rivaliser avec Xiao Hua Hong n'est pas chose aisée, les hommes de Blossoms of Power n'avaient pas de chance.

Shen Xi He (Meng Zi Yi) est une femme intelligente et déterminée, prête à parfois se montrer cruelle et d'une grande froideur pour suivre son propre destin. Sa retenue et son sang-froid lui permettent d'être indépendante, sans avoir besoin d'être constamment sauvée par un homme (bien que beaucoup se disputent son attention pour une raison que je ne suis pas parvenue à vraiment saisir). Meng Zi Yi livre une performance maîtrisée, prouvant une nouvelle fois son talent. Toutefois, un peu de nouveauté dans son jeu aurait été bienvenue.

Leur relation repose sur le respect et la confiance. Xiao Hua Hong ne dépasse pas les limites de Shen Xi He. En retour, celle-ci se refuse à profiter des sentiments qu'il nourrit à son égard pour servir sa cause. La romance prend le temps de se construire, les sentiments sont comme des fleurs qui se gorgent des doux rayons du soleil et s'abreuvent de l'eau de pluie pour s'éveiller lentement. La romance demande de la patience pour fleurir pleinement, tout en rencontrant quelques épines au passage.

Un autre personnage se démarque particulièrement pour moi : Xiao Chang Ying (Lai Wei Ming). Il connaît une véritable et belle évolution, gagnant en maturité et inspirant force et respect. Lai Wei Ming interprète parfaitement un jeune prince en proie à des sentiments complexes, trouvant refuge auprès de son frère aîné, Xiao Chang Qing (Xu Zheng Xi). C'est, à mes yeux, l'évolution la plus marquante de la série. Quant à Xu Zheng Xi, s'il a toujours été un excellent acteur, il signe ici l'un de ses meilleurs rôles en tant que Xiao Chang Qing.

J'ai apprécié la manière dont les sujets sérieux s'équilibrent parfaitement avec la romance et la comédie. Voir Xiao Hua Hong séduire le frère et le père est amusant, son audace est romantiquement drôle. Les intrigues ne sont pas nouvelles, mais elles fonctionnent. À l'exception d'une seule qui servait de fil conducteur important, mais dont la révélation soudaine manque d'impact émotionnel.

En revanche, la fin est décevante. L'amertume et la tristesse qui se dégagent de cet épisode sont cohérentes avec les événements, mais un retournement de situation force une fin venue de nulle part, annulant toute l'émotion précédemment instaurée. Aussi, l'épisode bonus est mignon, mais pas nécessaire.

En bref, malgré quelques reproches, Blossoms of Power est une belle histoire à la romance sincère et aux intrigues politiques simples, mais efficaces. Toutefois, le drame souffre d'un rebondissement de dernière minute qui fait perdre l'intensité émotionnelle originelle.

Episode 2 of Chilling Romance (Spooky In Love) continues to deliver the perfect mix of romance, comedy, and heartwarming moments. The episode is filled with hilarious scenes, especially those featuring Mr. Ma, who adds so much fun and charm to the story.
Ms. Cheon remains impeccable as always, sharp, straightforward, and effortlessly captivating in every scene.
The strong performances and enjoyable chemistry make this episode another delight to watch.
Episode 2 leaves viewers eagerly anticipating what happens next. Episode 3 can't come soon enough!
