The mushroom farm, the local businesses, and the slower rhythm of life all add to the comforting atmosphere without making it feel overly idealized.

It was refreshing to see a love triangle handled with emotional maturity instead of unnecessary drama.

The production is simple but effective. The countryside scenery, cozy homes, fresh produce, and peaceful landscapes create a relaxing atmosphere that perfectly matches the tone of the story. Even the fictional mushroom cosmetics felt believable enough that I almost wished they actually existed. There are also plenty of small comedic moments, like the rooster scenes, that keep the drama lighthearted without becoming silly.

That said, the drama isn't without flaws. There are a few noticeable plot holes, especially regarding travel time between Seoul and the village, which seems to change depending on what the story needs. Some conflicts are resolved a little too conveniently, and I wasn't entirely satisfied with Ye-jin's reconciliation with her mother. Considering everything her mother put her through growing up, the apology felt far too brief for such deep emotional wounds. I also wished Ye-jin had received a stronger apology and greater recognition after being proven right about the cosmetic controversy. Those storylines deserved a little more weight than they were ultimately given.

Another minor issue is that Matthew Lee remains somewhat mysterious throughout the drama. While his quiet personality fits the story, I did find myself wanting to know more about him beyond his role as the dependable countryside hero. The emotional focus leans more heavily toward Ye-jin's personal journey, making his character feel slightly underexplored by comparison.

Despite these shortcomings, I genuinely enjoyed every episode. The pacing remains steady, the episodes are easy to binge, and the story always leaves you with a smile. It doesn't rely on huge twists or melodrama to keep your attention. Instead, it succeeds through lovable characters, a peaceful setting, mature relationships, and an atmosphere that simply feels comforting.

Overall, Sold Out on You is one of those dramas you watch when you want to unwind. This drama is one of the best Korean crime thrillers I have ever watched. From the very first episode, the story grabs your attention with its unique concept of detectives from the past and present communicating through a mysterious walkie-talkie to solve cold cases.

The greatest strength of this drama is its writing. Every case is carefully connected to the main storyline, and each new revelation raises the tension even further. The pacing is excellent, making it difficult to stop watching because every episode ends with a cliffhanger.

The performances from main leads are outstanding. Their emotional acting makes every case feel personal, while the chemistry between the three leads remains compelling despite two of them never meeting face-to-face for much of the story.

This drama also explores corruption, injustice, and the consequences of altering the past. Many of the cases are inspired by real-life incidents, making the drama feel even more realistic and emotionally impactful.

Na régua

Acho que esse era um dos GLs que mais gerou expectativa. Muita gente já gostava das atrizes e dos ships antes mesmo da estreia, então era inevitável criar uma certa ansiedade para ver o resultado. Como a série acompanha três casais diferentes, vou falar de cada um separadamente, já que tive impressões bem distintas sobre cada núcleo.

Acredito que o casal principal seja a Prim e a Bambi. Para não me estender muito, eu não gostava muito da personagem da Bambi. Sei que muita gente acabou achando ela "babilônica" por causa das atitudes dela, mas eu não sou muito chegada nesse tipo de personagem, ainda mais porque, no começo, obviamente eu não conhecia os motivos de ela agir daquela forma. As NamtanFilm têm química, mas o relacionamento delas foi muito ioiô ao longo da série, o que, para mim, acaba sendo bem irritante.

A Sasha e a Gorya foram as minhas favoritas. Coloquei muitas expectativas nelas. Só acho que demorou demais para elas ficarem juntas, e muito por causa da Gorya. Ela é aquele meme todinho: "CHEGOOOU a boneca cara de ku. Ela chega na sua casa com cara de ku, vai embora com cara de ku, nada muda, nada alegra, nada anima...". Ela e o Qin de Dwy podem dar as mãos quanto a isso. 😂

Também vi muita gente chamando a Sasha de tóxica, mas, sinceramente, eu não enxerguei dessa forma. Em nenhum momento ela iludia ninguém. Muito pelo contrário: ela sempre deixou claro que não tinha interesse em namorar. Acho que o fato de a Gorya também não ser uma personagem ingênua acabou contrastando muito bem com isso, porque, se fosse, a série provavelmente teria criado vários dramas desnecessários em cima dessa dinâmica.

Agora, sobre as ViewMim, acho que elas não têm química, pelo menos não com essas personagens. Eu achava taaao chatas as partes delas. Não tem tempero, sabe? Não consegui me envolver com a história delas. Também não senti vontade de ver um projeto solo das duas. Para mim, não tem faísca nenhuma, é 0.

Sobre a história em si, senti que as únicas personagens que realmente tinham uma trama mais desenvolvida eram a Sasha, a Bambi e a Min.

A da Sasha foi, de longe, a mais interessante. A questão de como modelos muitas vezes precisam se vender para crescer na carreira e acabam sendo vistas como meros objetos foi um tema muito bom. Pena que isso acabou sendo tratado praticamente em um único episódio. Acho que tinha pano para muito mais. Inclusive, na cena inicial desse episódio, a Milk arrasou na atuação. A câmera foi focando aos poucos no rosto dela e foi impecável a forma como ela conseguiu transmitir o desconforto, a vergonha e a tristeza da personagem.

A história da Bambi ganha uma nova camada quando descobrimos, já depois da metade da série, que a namorada que ela teve após a Prim faleceu em um acidente provocado pelas duas. Achei interessante acompanhar a culpa que ela carregava, a forma como lidava com isso e como esse trauma afetou tanto o relacionamento dela com a Prim quanto as atitudes que tinha com as outras pessoas. Também gostei do fato de a série mostrar a Bambi fazendo terapia, algo importante de ser retratado. A Film também foi muito bem nesse arco. Achei que ela conseguiu transmitir toda a culpa, o sofrimento e o peso que a personagem carregava de uma forma bem convincente.

Já a trama da Min gira em torno da descoberta de que ela não era hétero, podia gostar de mulheres e estava tentando sair do armário. Achei a proposta ok. Talvez eu tivesse gostado mais desse núcleo se tivesse conseguido gostar mais da própria Min como personagem.

A música da opening é de fazer os ouvidos sangrarem, bem ruinzinha, a produção do clipe também. Ainda mais se compararmos com as músicas dos dois Only friends. Acredito que Girl Rules era pra ser Only friends versão GL, não sei se foi o que eles queriam.

Vi que a série recebeu muitas críticas e acabou não sendo o GL que muita gente esperava. Pelo que vi, boa parte das pessoas coloca essa culpa no diretor. Eu, particularmente, não tinha tanta expectativa antes de assistir, mas senti que a história enrolou demais em alguns momentos, ficando rodando em círculos com briguinhas para cá, ciúmes para lá e conflitos que pareciam não sair do lugar. No fim, achei uma série bem na régua, mas que poderia ser melhor em certos aspectos.

To be very honest, it is okayish❗

I really wanted to love this drama because the premise and cast had so much potential, but something just doesn't click. The problem isn't the actors. It's the way the emotions are presented. Instead of letting the performances breathe, the direction and background score keep pushing every emotional moment, making scenes feel less genuine than they could have been. In 2026, I expected a production that trusted its audience enough to let the acting speak for itself.

If anyone wants to see how a Republican era romance should be done, watch The City of Streamer on YouTube. It still sets the standard for me. The chemistry between the leads is effortless, the kisses are unforgettable, and the angst is so well written that every emotional moment lands without feeling forced. The female lead is clever, strategic, and independent. She solves her own problems instead of waiting for the male lead to rescue her, which makes the romance even more satisfying. Every emotion feels earned, which is why it's still a 10/10 in my eyes.

This is a masterpiece of life. It is a study in quality. It is a quiet and beautiful story of choices in a life. There is no trauma, no blood. It is quiet, sweet, yes full in its truth. It reminds me some of the master chef in midnight diner. (another gem) but this is day. The discoveries of the apprentice also change the master. It has a zen quality, it is a story of the heart between friends. It is beautifully made. I was never bored. Each episode is a short 35min or so.
Easily digestible.
I found it magical how everyone responds and enriches eachothers life. I hope to watch it all again soon.

All the characters were so well cast from the main characters to the supporting roles. The warm lighting in the cafe and the muted colors of the costumes created a comfortable ambiance overall, a restful feeling that, along with the pace of the movie, gives the viewer time to absorb all the nuances. At 30 minutes, each episode is the right length, not compressed nor stretched out unnecessarily.

Story, acting, twist, and cinematography are very well done.
You can't wait to watch next episode after every episode done. They almost make every episode feel like you watch movie, very tense horror thriller. Its really breakthrough K-drama you can watch. My self are really picky when come to matter of watch TV Show because in many case they can't hold the tension and excitement until few episode left out, but i can say "The Guest" are managed to surpass that problem. The chemistry between three leads are very good and every scene about possessed are really creppy and believable. If you really like horror, with thriller, suspense, excorsist, i strongly suggest you to give it a shot to watch this series. Its pure tense without some unnecessary love scene like other mainstream K drama.
