Exploring or escaping? The point here is you're trying to search for yourself.
You're an adult, you're in your 20s, and you're trying to find out where you belong. The cinematography and rawness of the scenery was a major charm in this film. Throughout the story, we see the female lead, Suzuko, immersed in different scenarios in the city, seaside, mountain, and in a small town. These changes captured the great contrast of her past to her changing present. It was really enjoyable also to see her in the peaceful vibe outside the city, and a culture where there are ordinary interactions between the old and the young.
What I really enjoyed the most in this film is how Suzuko chose herself without really being selfish to her brother Takuya and others. Every time she left town after saving a million yen, she was still considerate of the people around her. When the film ended, I was really proud of her. I was readying myself to get disappointed, but her decision stayed true to her character. That was the point of the film. Regardless of saving a million yen or not, or having an unresolved misunderstanding, Suzuko has set her mind to pursue herself. Afterall, she's still in the process of "becoming".
I'm also happy for her brother. Initially, I thought there will be a tragedy by the end, but this film showed me otherwise. Both Suzuko and Takuya had their own struggles. Despite being apart, we get to see them grow through the hardships after sticking around and seeing the result of their own decisions. The storytelling in One Million Yen Girl delivered that message well, and surely showed a story of hope and growth.

No idea about anything, no plot, no acting...but it's important to take money from people who barely make ends meet, they wouldn't show how the series brought success...I didn't see that any series won an award?!
Cheers

A serious subject
This drama is a serious one looking at some real failings of modern society. Not specific to South Korea either, this experience is present everywhere I've ever been. This movie tells a very important story.Overall I felt it was well executed. There are times when some of the side characters feel a bit flat, like they are written just to exist to show us that people suck. But many of them still manage to portray some complexity; there is a lot of indifference that just stems from people just trying to get by too.
I would have liked to have seen the relationship with the friend and her brother in more focus. I think the things that happened between them were also important stories that showed a very realistic view of complex relationships. But especially in the ending arc I would have liked to get better closure or a bit more clarity on their friendship.

I regret not watching it sooner: A hidden gem
I dropped Fated Hearts twice at episode one, honestly thinking it wasn't my cup of tea. I can’t even recall what turned me off initially, but out of pure boredom, I decided to give it one more shot. I am so glad I did.IT IS A MASTERPIECE, and my only regret is that I didn't watch it sooner.
The Story & Romance
At first glance, the premise might remind you of Are You the One (2024), but the execution is completely different. The way the Male Lead treats the Female Lead is incredibly refreshing. He is honest and avoids the typical "useless misunderstandings" that plague so many dramas. The relationship development is natural, logical, and never feels childish. It is truly a mature, well-written progression that keeps you hooked from start to finish.
Performances
Chen Zhe Yuan as Feng Sui Ge is nothing short of perfection. I truly don't think anyone else could have inhabited this role. His expressiveness and natural charm were captivating. Additionally, the choreography for his martial arts scenes was the "top of the top". I'm genuinely impressed by the training that he must have gone through for those sequences.
I also have to shout out Qin Tian Yu, who played the Emperor of Jinxiu. Even though his character was "crazy", he was so charismatic that I couldn't bring myself to hate him. He truly stole the spotlight alongside the leads.
On the flip side, the Princess of Susha was easily the most unlikeable character for me. I found myself genuinely frustrated by her actions throughout the series.
Small Critique
If I had one complaint, it would be the antagonists. While their role was clearly to serve as a foil to the ML, I found their schemes a bit lackluster. They weren't particularly clever, and I often wondered how they managed to survive as long as they did with such poor planning.
Final Thoughts
From beginning to end, this drama hits all the right notes. The script is tight, the internal logic of the world is consistent, and there were no "pulled out of thin air" plot points. I finished this series feeling completely satisfied, yet with a lingering sense of regret that it was so short. I could have watched these characters for an eternity.

Lackluster romance and medical drama.
As a romance show it’s not that great. As a medical drama there’s much better. It lacked the wholesome small-town or countryside vibe that I enjoy in K-dramas. For me, the most frustrating and grating aspect of this show are the townsfolk. A bunch of hard-headed, stubborn, and ungrateful people. I understand that these are the type of patients medical staff encounter daily, but it doesn’t make it any better to watch episode after episode. I almost stopped watching when the show when lock jawdude makes his appearance. The medical scenarios aren’t that exciting. Mostly it’s the show portraying the difficulties and lack of access to medical care. Great message but I got it the second time. Does anything meaningful happen in this show? Aside from the grandmother and a helicopter, I didn’t think so. FL and ML have starred in amazing shows. Pairing them up would be a no brainer. It didn’t work out. 2nd couple are forgettable.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
IDK yet
* note: the story works for me (at places), the execution not so much (the acting is wooden around the edges for my taste, possible reasons: work with actors, highly probably actors' age), the music is beautiful - and does not blend with acting; it is 2 levels stronger as if wonting to rely what the acting itself doesn't; still solid enough to not stop watching¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
Surprisingly good. Great acting, directing and cinematography.
Rated this high because for a mini drama, the quality is really good. I know ML is quite toxic but the story and premise calls for it. I like that for a mini drama they were able to put depth on the character’s backstory, that would make you want to root for them. The cinematography and dorecting in this drama is great. Story is delivered quite well. Fight scenes are good for a mini drama. I know it’s low budget but it doesn’t feel one. This drama is good to watch as cleanse after watching longform dramas. Actors did a great job specially with their micro expressions to convey the emotions of the scene. Look forward to the success of both leads in their next projects.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
There’s no room left to cry
I knew this drama was going to wreck me, and honestly, this is exactly my cup of tea. I love emotional, tragic dramas filled with warmth, comfort, and quiet romance. Why did I only decide to watch this in 2026? I seriously missed out on one of the most beautiful masterpieces of 2023.One Room Angel is filled with powerful metaphors and tells a deeply moving story about love, healing, and finding someone who gives you the strength to live life to the fullest again.
I actually rediscovered this gem because of its ending theme song by Sano Ibuki. The song is overflowing with emotion, just like the drama itself. Every episode perfectly balances calmness, humor, and melancholy, creating an atmosphere that feels both comforting and heartbreaking. I loved every single moment of it. And yes, the cast is incredibly handsome. I honestly spent the whole series wishing they would kiss.
Kouki is such a heartbreaking protagonist. His entire journey is painfully tragic. After nearly dying from a stabbing, he’s given a second chance at life. When he returns home, he meets an Angel who slowly becomes his source of comfort and the place he can truly call home. Ironically, this Angel is rude, sarcastic, funny, and constantly complaining, making it impossible for the kind-hearted Kouki not to grow attached to him.
There are many interpretations regarding the Angel’s true identity. At first, it almost feels as though he could simply be Kouki’s imaginary friend, a delusion born from his overwhelming loneliness. But as the story unfolds, we learn that the Angel was actually a student who took his own life on the very night Kouki was stabbed. Crushed by guilt, bullying, and the complicated feelings surrounding a classmate who both tormented and secretly loved him, his story becomes just as devastating as Kouki’s.
While watching this series, I suddenly realized something. I think I’d be okay if I had an imaginary friend or an Angel, that only I could see, someone I could tell everything to. Loneliness can slowly consume a person, and carrying every emotion by yourself is truly exhausting. That’s why Kouki’s loneliness felt so painfully real throughout the entire story.
One line completely shattered me:
“Since this guy came, I no longer think I want to die. On the contrary, it’s the opposite.”
Hearing Kouki say those words while hugging the Angel was absolutely heartbreaking. The Angel became the person who finally said everything Kouki had longed to hear his entire life.
As expected, the ending left me in tears. It was unbelievably beautiful. The Angel was finally able to fly, leaving Kouki behind. But the love, comfort, and memories they shared remained with him forever. The scene where Kouki’s mother finds a single feather and Kouki suddenly breaks down crying completely destroyed me. He later turns that feather into a beautiful necklace before saying goodbye to the tiny apartment where he met the love of his life.
Kouki, who had once lost all hope in living, finally learns to embrace life again with gratitude and hope because of the brief but life-changing encounter he shared with the Angel. It reminded him that life isn’t so bad after all.
I’m still tearing up while writing this review. One Room Angel is truly a beautiful masterpiece.

Married, Husband and Husband, The Perfect Sequel We Waited More Than Six Months For
After waiting more than six months since Me and Thee finished airing, we finally got a sequel, and it was absolutely worth the wait. I honestly expected maybe a special episode, but getting a four episode instead was such a pleasant surprise. As someone who loved the original series, I couldn't have asked for a better continuation. What I love most is that the story doesn't stop after the wedding. Instead, we get to see Peach and Thee adjusting to married life as husband and husband, which feels so refreshing. So many romance series end once the couple gets together, but this one lets us enjoy what comes after. Their relationship is just as sweet, chaotic, and entertaining as ever.
Thee is still his dramatic, loud, and completely over the top self, and I wouldn't want him any other way. He absolutely spoils Peach, going all out to make every moment special. Their playful bickering, affectionate moments, and effortless chemistry remind me why PondPhuwin are one of my favorite pairings. They slip back into these characters so naturally that it feels like no time has passed at all.
I was also so happy to see WilliamEst and PerthSanta return. Episode 1 immediately reminded me why I loved them in the original series, and seeing all three couples back together made the reunion even more enjoyable. They each bring their own charm to the story, and I can't wait to see what the remaining three episodes have in store.
Even though this is a lighthearted romance, the series does a great job showing the realities of married life. Peach wants to focus on his career while Thee wants to spend every possible moment together, creating fun and relatable situations without losing the warmth of their relationship. It's a simple premise, but the characters make it incredibly entertaining.
If you enjoyed Me and Thee, this sequel is an easy recommendation. It delivers everything fans could want, including lovable characters, hilarious comedy, heartwarming married life, and plenty of romantic moments. Watching Peach and Thee continue their journey as a married couple is exactly the kind of follow up I was hoping for.
I already can't wait for the remaining episodes.

It shows that success doesn't come easily—it takes hard work, courage, and determination. The characters are relatable, and their journeys are full of challenges, growth, and emotional moments. Overall, this drama is motivating, heartwarming, and full of valuable life lessons. If you enjoy stories about chasing dreams and never giving up, Road to Success is definitely worth watching. Highly recommended!

I dropped at ch 1.Honestly, i hated all the men in the show. They are rude as hell. Like i understand you might be interested in another girl, but does it justify that you won’t even answer when someone else other the girl you are interested in? Then go date outside 1-on-1 why are you on a dating show if you don’t have any manners and common sense?
Im sorry because i really loved minji but according to the spoiler i think i wont be able to stand how the things will unfold.
Cast is TERRIBLE. I like it when men are losers in love and chase after their girl endlessly but THIS IS NOT IT. THIS DOESNT FEEL GENUINE AT ALL. LIKE I AM AT CHAPTER ONE AND THEY ALL JUST MET, YOU DONT EVEN KNOW THAT GIRL WELL?
I am saying all this as a heart pairing jimin enthusiasts. I ADORED his genuine affection for je yeon. He was also all in for her but i never once felt the way i feel right now. That man fell for her steadily and surely, and it wasn’t because of her looks or anything. HE GENUINELY LIKED HER. Like all the girls were after him and he drew the line clearly WHILE ACTING PROPERLY. HE NEVER DISRESPECTED THEM. Even when that one girl acted like a stalker, he remained his polite attitude.
My girl mijun does not deserve this man, i really liked her personality all those men must be blind or something I am so pissed

Love Upon a Time stood out so much compared to the standard BL formula
Wow, where do I even start? For me, this was easily one of the best Thai BLs I’ve watched so far. It’s so refreshing to watch a historical series where the plot actually drives the show, rather than just using a thin storyline as an excuse to jump from one intimate scene to the next.
I honestly can't believe I watched an entire series without skipping a single scene, and that it had an actual plot! The producers clearly started with a solid storyline and built a genuine show around it, rather than just using the project as an excuse to have the actors engage in overly sexualized scenes.
The time-travel aspect felt grounded and well-paced instead of being all over the place, and the characters had real depth.
I have to say, Klao is officially one of the best "bottom" characters in Thai BL history.
Having a character who isn't just a passive, trope-heavy submissive, but rather a witty, capable person who stands up for himself, is a huge breath of fresh air
He threw punches when he needed to, never solely relied on the "top" to save the day, and had a vibrant personality that didn't just revolve around tired tropes. He was smart and grounded in his interactions, and I absolutely loved his dynamic with Prim and the other women around him.
Meanwhile, Phop easily joins the list of best Thai BL tops. He is the ultimate green flag (and the fact that Net is absolutely delightful to look at certainly didn't hurt). I got so emotional watching him fight for his love in an era where it wasn't accepted.
Even the second leads had a really wonderful plotline in their previous lives and weren't annoying in the slightest. As for the finale, it genuinely satisfied me. It was truly the best happy ending we could have gotten from a time-travel plot.
Overall, I am incredibly happy with this drama. While the acting could have been significantly better in certain scenes, especially from JJ, it was still highly enjoyable. The main leads had insane chemistry without it feeling overly explicit or borderline pornographic. Even the intimate scenes felt deeply tender rather than exploitative. I will definitely be keeping an eye on Net and JJ for future projects.
"To a love unbound by gender, standing resolute against the tides of time."
That was the perfect line to end the show. It left me so emotional, especially knowing how many real people throughout history never got to have their happy ending

The present sucks so far
Show started off a lot better then it is at the current episodes. From the start FL always felt entitled and rude but now as an adult she is way out of line.
No normal man would deal with such bullshit.
Badass, rage baiting? I call it being a rude, selfish b*****.
This man literally payed for her teenage years and her education and there isnt a single thread of gratitude.
She really thinks she is entitled to the reason why he sent her away. Even tho its none of her business.
People saying that "when MLs do it, its not an issue"...... I havent seen a ML do any of this before.
Edit: After ep 21 it is not worth my time anymore.

E adoro o sorriso do Zhao Zhen, me parece tão verdadeiro que me faz sorrir junto.
