That's sad, and the more you reflect on it, the more it hurts.
That's a good series with an important subject, i really appreciate it, but...Shin is very lovely, and after seeing what happened it may break everyone's heart, also mine. His suffering was so touching, he really portrayed his feelings after everything in an impactful, very vulnerable way (the actor really did pretty good). After that i was devastated and the only thing i could think and wait for was justice for him, and protection, that was everything i wanted right after, however it didn't go that way.
Shin's father and mother are very insensitive, it really lacked emotions on them. How could they let the rapist go away not knowing what could happen with their son? Not knowing if he could appear again from somewhere. How could they listen to what Shin says after being raped? He was eighteen, only eighteen, and they were adults, meant to protect him. After Shin tried suicide, he woke up, and there were them acting as normal, asking if he needs something again. I couldn't help being frustrated, either they were poorly written characters or they were poorly insensitive parents, which would make sense, as Shin said everything in that house was so boring... When someone is that fragile and isn't able to see life without pain, you, friend or parent, should do the best you can to show other sides of life with actions. Boredom and silence will only help the trauma make the victim's head a playground. It's important to act, cause in that way the victim will feel, biologically, in an undeniable way, protected.
Shin had good friends, but in the same way as his parents they also committed mistakes. After Shin tried suicide, they said that it would be better to be with his parents in that moment... like... what??? It doesn't make any sense. As friends they weren't able to know if Shin's parents would really help him, did they not care enough?
What i mean is... he must have been feeling lonely even with people on his side, and that pisses me off.
The Effect isn't well developed, it had a little number of episodes, and with a subject like that, the lack of development is frustrating.
I know i complain a lot, but it isn't a bad series, it's worth watching. I felt a lot of feelings through this, it left an open sore on me, and that's cool. Actually i came here to complain and unleash what was bothering me.
But it's important to talk about the final, that doesn't make any sense, it doesn't even fit the rest of the drama. It simply doesn't make sense, i prefer to pretend it doesn't even exist anymore.

Incredible Acting!!
This movie is pretty good, the acting in specific ... Wow, it was amazing, these actors were shining on my screen, if it wasn't for bad storytelling i would rate this higher. The scene of the bully's death was terrible, i couldn't be convinced by that. How could she be prepared to bully and kill the protagonist and soon after beg for mercy , in the same circumstances. And her death was terrible, that was an accident, i would prefer if it were intentional , but that's not what was shown. That death being accidental made all the following scenes lose meaning(from the viewer's point of view).Although the bond between the main characters was incredible in the end, that was just an annoying situation to show that. I also felt a lack of scenes at the end, it ended abruptly.
Regarding the good traits, there were a bunch, especially the feeling of injustice that kindles rage and anguish, making you feel really disgusted and hateful toward bullying , the feeling of : "i'm fighting for a good life, but someone somewhere is fighting to survive". And amidst all that sorrow and discomfort, both victims of an unpleasant world become a shelter for each other and find a bit of happiness, a light, among all the darkness.
That's a good movie, i would recommend

A felicidade nunca será eterna.. Viva...

A Haunting Love Story I’ll Never Forget
Veil of Shadows completely stole my heart—and honestly, I don’t think I’m recovering anytime soon.Lu Wu Yi and Ji Ling were absolute perfection. The chemistry, the tension, the emotion… every scene between them felt electric. What made them even more unforgettable was how beautifully layered their characters were. They weren’t written to be purely “good” or “bad,” and that complexity made them impossible not to love. Even when they stepped into morally gray territory—or fully embraced the role of the “villain”—I still found myself rooting for them with my whole heart.
And their love story? Hauntingly beautiful.
Not the kind of romance that’s loud or overly dramatic, but the kind that quietly consumes you. The kind that lingers in your mind long after the drama ends. Every sacrifice, every longing glance, every painful choice between them carried so much weight that it almost hurt to watch—in the best way possible.
The actors absolutely delivered. They brought such depth and intensity to their roles that Lu Wu Yi and Ji Ling felt real, flawed, and devastatingly human. It’s rare to come across characters that leave such a lasting impression, but I already know these two are going to stay with me for a very long time.
Veil of Shadows isn’t just a drama you watch—it’s one you feel.

Watch the drama
Coming-of-age Asian movies will always fill me with a warm, fuzzy feeling, but I really do prefer the drama version of this story purely because of the runtime. The chemistry between the leads is decent in certain scenes, but I didn't really feel the longing or the slow build that the story requires, and the characters don't have as much depth as I wish. The plot also feels somewhat nonsensical, like we're skipping through scenes.
This movie does what most Asian coming-of-age dramas do — which is introduce a final act conflict and separation — and while it's necessary for the male lead's arc, the resolution still feels pretty rushed.

Oh to be a College Kid
Eh, this felt like a pretty solid college romance. They are all a bunch of people learning how to be adults and stand on their own.If you keep in mind some of the information shared quickly during brief scenes, like how the FL casually mentions to the ML she knows what his mother is like, or when the FL shares how much she knew the truth behind the MLs life and work to be an actor and his struggles, it really is not a surprise that they end up together. She was just waiting for him to stand on his own and he proved it to her.
So true on the fact that the women in the FL life are petty and jealous. Her roomie was definitely manipulated, but that doesnt excuse what she did at all.
The acting was well done and it felt like a college show, so i think overall it met its mark. I give it 8⭐ because they tried to jam pack it with so many different plots that it felt very surface level. If they had reduced the amount of plots and only focused on two or three things more deeply it probably would get better reviews.

You can blossom in adversity
What a great show and the tittle gives a hint about it. Blossoms in adversity is about the struggles one will face while living. The women in this c-drama shows us how to be courageous, resilient, empathetic, compassionate and determined. All of them grow and learn things that they didn't have to before the incident and this is the magic of this drama.I can't forget about the couples too: the main one is like their personalities, very brave, loyal and intelligent. The secondaries ones shows others quality that are equally interesting to see, like: Shayao and Shen Huan demonstrate that love has it's one pace and the couple doesn't have to be the most 'powerfull' to works; uncle and aunt Wu are calm and constant, the grandparents are stable and comfortable. There're couples that I don't like how they work, but it has it's own era and culture, I am not able to judge in a way that it's fair.
Overall, it's a great show, the story is really long, they don't extend arcs just to fill - some of than I, personally, think it's a little too short - they have their story to show and make you think about it.
P. s. I really like that this is one of a few shows that the 'secret' it's actually told and not found out.

Sweet, cute, and all the Innocence.
This is such an adorable, light-hearted story and I re-watch it for the feel good vibe it has. It can feel a little awkward at times, but it kind of just adds to it's charm. Expect the cheesiness to remain throughout every episode.Plot was definitely paper thin, but I didn't need a diverse or in-depth plot to enjoy this. I would love to see a continuation that dives into a heavier plot like how To My Star got a second season, but that's just hopes, dreams, and pixie dust. Anyway, this is permanently on my rewarch list.

Two Souls Connected: Intriguing & Emotional
Wow. I absolutely loved this and would wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. The drama centers on two leads whose lives become mysteriously intertwined during a critical mission. As the story unfolds, unexpected twists reveal that nothing is quite what it seems. It reminded me of Cang Lan Jue (the novel behind Love Between Fairy and Devil), where the leads share a unique spiritual bond that deepens their connection over time. That same soulful connection here adds layers of identity and moral complexity, enriching both the characters and the overall narrative.

I do not understand the hate this show has gotten in the reviews both here and on Viki. There really was not any plot point that wasn't addressed later on in the show. I found it to be great drama and want to address some reoccuring comments.Phone not being found at a crime scene? It wasn't a crime scene, it was an accident based on the video so they would not have searched for evidence...
Not kicking the guy out after turning the lights off when she fired her house keeper? She didn't share with the guy that he shouldn't turn the lights out, when she explicitly told her housekeeper not to. People give grace to their friends but not to those they employ like that. Also, he assumed they were all asleep and not hanging out in a secret room....
Missing romance? I didn't feel like they could have any romance until the ML learned the truth about the FL, even the ML commented on it before he left. They showed and had great chemistry instead and I'd equate this to a very slow burn thriller romance.
Dumb male lead? I don't think you paid enough attention to his character then. He showed his true colors numerous times up until you learn everything.
The acting was amazing and they were fantastic at mimicking each other. They swapped pretty fluidly. Personally, I think this is absolutely worth watching even with the over the top play on stereotypes.

Level Up.....Your Entertainment
If you survive the epic number of plot holes and truly outlandish situations the characters find themselves in, this is by far one of the best and most ridiculous comedies I have seen in forever. Don't expect an ounce of accuracy in its portrayal of the gaming world, but you can clearly feel how great the actors are and how they make you feel engaged. They definitely knew how to dramatize and play up all the craziness. You absolutely experience high levels of ridiculousness, but it's pure entertainment gold.

unexpected turn of events! cover is misleading
When you look at the cover of the series, you think it’s cute and fluffy but it’s honestly more emotional than you think. The plot is interesting and there are elements people can relate to such as; family issues, couple dynamics, and even friendship tests. All that plus the age regression, it can honestly feel overwhelming but the director kept the series flowing where each episode built on the other. As for the actors, they did a phenomenal job. I have to give to Santa for playing two characters and still being clear which one is which based on his acting. Bravo! Give it try if you haven’t watch it yet! :) two more episodes to go!¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

6. O final, realmente me agradou muito.
