Situationship MAX

If you're a kpop fanboy who is also queer/LGBTQ and likes fashion this series is definitely for you. Queer representation is sooo important to me, as a guy that is often seen as 'too feminine' this whole series I word for word my comfort. I'm a hugeee fan of Proxie and BTS and other groups. Kpop is already seen in general as a 'feminine interest' but seeing guys like it in series really makes me cry bro, I'm not even joking. Like I said in the title; A series where I'm definitely DIYing/inspiring the clothes from.

Don't get me started on the music in this series. Not only is the OST SUPER PEAK the other songs they used in the series like Hype boy, Spring day are also VERYYYY good. Genuinely jumped when they mentioned BTS and spring day and as an army I love how they added the joke about RM not being able to drive and not having a license (he got one this year!). I fucking love how they also mentioned Proxie a lot as a Proxie fan. Intro I would NOT skip, because the song and colours are sooo good. Not surprised since Thai people are very proud of Lisa from Blackpink but Blackpink is also mentioned!!! Love how the normal version of เลิกกั๊กแล้วรักก่อน is used with some feelings in episode 3. To break it down there's also a sped version.

I fucking love how they're fanboys and have like pins and photo card holders of their faves and Bua and Baabin got their situationship due to them fanboying over Blackpink. I also love how they finally don't whitewash any characters since I see that a lot in Thai series. I recently saw Est supha in naughty babe and his skin was LIT so much different than in his latest roles. No hate to him btw!

About the whole gel boy thing, I love their nails sooo much. I'm not sure if any of ya'll noticed but background characters are wearing makeup. I think representation is sooo good when it comes to this series. I hate how I'm often perceived as a girl but I'm genuinely thinking of getting my nails done inspired by theirs. Love how their nails become a trend in the friend group and how everyone is slowly getting more comfortable with themselves (to a certain point).

About the characters itself, FUCK AND I MEAN FUCK Chian. Chian is like soo problematic. TF u mean you're hitting on someone else purely to make Bua jealous and to get over him? This is sooo unfair for Fou4mod. To be honest I've seen people also calling Fou4mod problematic but to be very honest I'm not sure what to think of him. Yes, he is a cause of a relationship but I also get him. I saw someone on reddit calling him 'unintentionally problematic'. Because he caused sooo much pain for Baabin. Baabin is such a sweetheart and I wished him the best but Bua and Fou4mod still KINDA treated him like trash. Look, Bua was crushing on Chian back while Chian was trying to get over him. They KEPT ignoring Baabin bro he deserves soooo much better.

Something that made me laugh was covid in begin 2025? I'm not sure when it was filmed but It's actually quite nice to see them making people aware that covid still exists. And then they try to clear it up in a call?? LMAOOO

Alsooo while watching the last ep I accidentally punched myself a swollen eye. ITS SO FUNNY HELP BUT ITS SO SWOLLEN AND A PINK EYE NOW ASWELL. Also love how Leon Zech is literately me. Like I'm also like 1/4 of many countries AND German!!

A Simple and Heartwarming Youth BL

This is another high school music romance, but with a three way love story that keeps things interesting. The series stays simple and light without trying too hard to be overly dramatic. All three main actors are young and fit their characters well. Jun Jia’s love at first sight for Yan Kai was especially cute to watch, and their interactions had a soft charm to them.

One thing I really enjoyed was the music aspect. The performances felt natural because the actors can actually sing and play instruments, which made the band scenes much more believable and enjoyable. The music videos and soundtrack also added a nice emotional touch to the series.

So far, the acting could still improve because some scenes feel predictable and slightly awkward at times. The story is also fairly straightforward, so it will not surprise viewers looking for something deep or intense. Still, the youthful energy and sweet atmosphere make it a relaxing watch.

At the moment, I would give it a solid 7/10. It is not groundbreaking, but it is charming, easy to watch, and perfect if you want a light BL with music, romance, and lovable young characters. Now I am curious to see how the remaining episodes develop the love triangle and emotional side of the story.

The most important workers in the palace would be firemen

STORY - Interesting, a different view of a modern monarchy. Boring the whole assassination attempts...

ACTING - The most quality of the drama. Excellent almost all the characters... it was strange to view the regent mother so young...

MUSIC - nice. Nothing that I will save and listen, but we'll sync with the drama.

REWATCH - I just finished this drama and I don't recall any moment that I would wanted to see again.

OVERALL - a drama that is entertaining and fast paced. the plots are a little boring and uninteresting. They portray an incompetent security force (the royal guard) and a lack of ideas from the villains. After watching most of the villains efforts I just felt hungry for a barbecue...

Expected a Superhero Action Comedy, Got a Heartfelt Story About Finding Purpose and Belonging

Wow. What a fun ride! Wonderfools has easily earned a spot in my top 5 Korean dramas, which are the dramas I’d actually rewatch. I went into Wonderfools expecting a superhero action comedy. I got that and so much more. The insightful review by the user Eat Watermelon deep dived into the themes really well. I will take a page out of their book and give a lot of credit to the writers here besides the production team and cast. An excellent drama starts with a good script, and the writers delivered.

In Wonderfools, we have a story about a trio of misfits lost in life who get a fresh start when they inadvertently acquire superpowers. Their powers are a manifested reflection of their internal conflicts, and the drama does a wonderful job showing us how they overcome those internal conflicts besides dealing with the obvious external conflicts in the story. And then we have Cha Eunwoo's character, the lone wolf who finds his community in this trio of misfits. Each member of the ensemble cast gets a meaningful character arc, and even the antagonists feel relatable. The story and themes aren't anything new, but the writers and the cast did such an amazing job balancing chaotic humor and emotional depth in a way that feels fresh, grounded, and meaningful.

Writing, production, cast, and music were all excellent. I watched the making of the show. A lot of the stunts and effects were not CGI, so I really appreciated that because it added more authenticity to those scenes. If there's one minor critique I have, it's the exaggerated displays of anger in the first couple episodes, which I really find tedious and overdone in Korean dramas. Thankfully, it tones down in subsequent episodes.

Wonderfools is thoughtfully layered beneath its comedic sci-fi exterior. It's the kind of show that makes you appreciate the details on a rewatch while also being incredibly entertaining. I binge watched this series in a couple days and immediately started rewatching it because it was just that good to me.

Netflix released this a limited series, but they definitely left room for a second season. Here's hoping we get a second season!

One of my favorites of 2026

The Epoch of Miyu seems like an unconventional cdrama of 2026, I don't think this is regarded as an idol drama. It has a more mature vibe, and it focuses on Miyu's second chance at life after divorce. I think it caters towards a mature audience rather than those who prefer just romance, and expect some romance chemistry.

I personally enjoy these types of dramas, because it follows the main character, Xu Miyu, through her ups and downs in the hotel industry. I like how Xi Miyu as a character finally grew a backbone and not allow others to take advantage of her kindness post-divorce. The speed of her climbing the ladder and getting a better job is unrealistic, but i like how she's a quick learner and studies pretty for the role she was promoted to. She doesn't take it for granted. She's very humble in her roles, she puts in the effort and it just motivates me to work harder in my opinion. This is my first time watching Zhu Zhu, and I think she is incredibly pretty and her acting is fine to me. It's not awkward, yes she talks in that monotone in all her ramblings *cough* but to me its basically her professional voice when she rambles while at work. I can see her miniscule muscle movements when she gets pissed at a coworker and still kept professionlism - It's just the way she stares, and clutches her jaws, but still smile - oh that was so good. HAHAHA I will be watching more of her dramas for sure!!

As for the male lead, Wallace Chung, I think his character was quite annoying at times, but also professional yes. He emodied his role quite well. Unfortunately, Wallance seem to not match well with Zhu Zhu in terms of visual. The age gap was immensely obvious, it was like a thorn in my side when I watched these two together. I don't typically care about visuals as long as the actors can act so it wasn't so bad I guess. In terms of chemistry with Zhu Zhu, I couldn't see it? I felt like Zhu Zhu had more chemistry with the previous husband in the drama than with Wallace. Otherwise, Wallace's acting is fine in my opinion.

I feel like the antagonists of this drama were very childish. At some point, I was wondering WHY do they keep this one guy in the hotel knowing FULL well he's been stealing your ideas and whatnot. Why not ban him? And then the other bad guy in the drama just wants to bring Ji Feng down, because his aunt always favored Ji Feng - just very childish. A lot of the trouble that Miyu gets into will always be resolved, and it dampens my enjoyment of the drama. It became very predictable basically.

So yeah the plot eventually fell flat for me, especially when Miyu was transferred towards the end, and that arc was very boring to me. The female antagonist, Lu Zhen Zhen aka Li Meng (love her acting), her plot twist definitely caught me by surprised not going to lie. But her ending was so disappointing! AlsoLi Qiao Qi!! I loved her attitude, I love her personality but her romantic ENDING HELLO?! What the heck happened? :( I guess they never planned for her romantic partner. I was disappointed. :(

Other than a few hiccups in the drama, I did enjoy it overall including the music. ^^
The moral of the story is very clear: Don't be a push over, set boundaries, and keep fighting for the goal you wanted in life.
Would I recommend this drama? I don't think so if you really want romance, romance isn't the main goal of this drama. However, if you think you feel stuck in life, perhaps this drama can give you a bit of motivation.

It had it's moments

Most of the good moments in this series were because the actors were doing their best with what they were given, which wasn't much. The script made things 10X more confusing than they needed to be.

I can't tell you how many times I thought the characters were dating because of something said, only to find out five to 20 minutes later that no, they aren't. I know it happened three times with just one of the main couples, which is three times too many. I was also really confused about the family situation with Per and Knight's parents since they all seemed to live together and have a good relationship. I legit thought that their dad was married to both their moms until the last episode, where we finally got some answers.

What happened to Mud? We see him a few times up to episode 6, then for some reason we never see him again. Why? There was supposedly some serious shit going on with his ex-bestfriend and brother, but he just never showed up again during or after the conflict. We don't know if he accepted the relationship, became friends with Knight again, or what happened. He just disappeared like he never existed. His part in the story was to fight Knight over his brother, whom Knight supposedly raped while drunk one night, and somehow the scriptwriters thought it was okay to never resolve that after Mud found out it was a misunderstanding. Mud never went to the cops, talked to his brother about it, nothing, and Knight never tried to explain things after the fact. It was already a poorly written plot point because not only would Mild have known that he had been raped, but who would sleep through that? He would have at least been in pain the next morning because I doubt a drunk man would have had any control. The flashes that Mild saw made actual rape feel cheap after it's revealed that nothing happened. Not only was it handled poorly, but they also stretched it out over two episodes when it didn't need to be. This whole part of the story rubbed me the wrong way.

Mayo was a plot point that felt forced and didn't have a good enough lead-up, considering he stabbed Per. We saw him for all of five minutes over the whole series before this point.

The main reason I decided to watch this series was because of a few clips I saw, and I've enjoyed series with low ratings, so I gave it a chance. I watched a lot of it at 2X speed because some moments had too many long, drawn-out stares between the characters, but it wasn't the worst series I've seen by a long shot.

A truly excellent drama

I started watching this drama with low expectations, and I’m glad I did! It was really good!

Firstly, I want to talk about the plot because it was truly captivating. It had everything in the right proportion — drama, comedy, action, fantasy, and romance (not too much romance, which I liked). I think it was inspired by Mengele’s medical experiments conducted at Auschwitz and other camps in Europe, or at least something similar, since the kids were called “Wunderkinder” (“wonder kids”). Just like the Nazis believed that Aryans were the pinnacle of humanity, the Wunderkinder in this drama wanted to eliminate “defective” people.

It felt very original for a K-drama, and I found the similarities with Europe’s dark history quite intimidating but also very well depicted. The plot was interesting, the funny moments were entertaining, the friendship between the four main characters was beautiful, and the family bonds were very strong as well. The drama also touches on child abuse and how children are manipulated by scientists in order to serve a purpose. They are convinced until their very last breath that they are doing the right thing and being useful to the “father” scientist.

I also liked the four different personalities of the main characters:

* Eun Chae-ni: A girl with heart failure who is on the verge of death at the beginning of the drama. She dies, but her superpowers give her a second chance at life. She no longer just wants to survive — she wants to live life to the fullest. Park Eun-bin was excellent once again!🫶🏻
* Lee Un-jong: One of the Wunderkinder who no longer wants to participate in their plans. He clearly has deep family trauma and is used to being alone. At first, he tries to find his family by using Chae-ni, but later he discovers the meaning of companionship. His character development was really impressive.
* Son Gyeong-un: A cowardly man who complains all the time. He loves his family, but he embarrasses them because he strongly believes in conspiracy theories. He just wants to live peacefully, but eventually he has to use his superpowers to save people and care more about his team.
* Kang Robin: A kind-hearted but powerless man. He is Chae-ni’s true friend and was bullied a lot at school. He sees himself as useless, but after getting his superpowers he tries to prove himself and become a hero.

The romance between Chae-ni and In-jong was not overwhelming. I think it had the perfect balance, and at times it really added meaning to the story.

All the actors did a great job, and I especially want to give credit to Cha Eun-woo. He was superb in this role! Usually, he chooses strange projects, and I wasn’t a fan of him in True Beauty like most people(actually I wasn t a fan of true beauty in general)but here he was really good — and honestly, more handsome than ever.

Excellent drama overall. I don’t know if the meanings I interpreted were the intended ones, but that’s how I received this drama. One of the best K-dramas I’ve watched!💕

Not sure what to think of it.

When this was planning to come out I wasn't sure if I was gonna watch it. I love Perthsanta but I felt like the series might portray age regression wrong and perhaps even sexualise it. However, when the first episode dropped I got curious and wondered what it would be about, so I decided to watch it anyways.

I heavily fuck with the aesthetic going on here, I want to own every outfit and it's just sooo cute. They really did some thinking about the outfits and I think I'm gonna try and DIY some of the outfits!! I love how the kids have the funniest nicknames like one of the kids being called bitcoin.. I mean okkkk. Elsa made me laugh so much she's so pick me hahahah. But she also makes it fun and she seems like a sweet girl.

I heard people mentioning this one social media but they put a LOT of detail in the smallest actions like sun drawing on the walls being one of the things he was told to do to copy.

So one thing I don't really like, gmmtv has a series against the idea of ai BUT still themselves useing for small images?? I don't get why they can't ask their creative team to make a picture. It's not like they don't have money and we alllll know how gmmtv treats their staff and artists... It's irritating and it makes the scene look cheap.

Another point of change might be beter ocd representation next time, but at least they tried to include ocd. I feel like they could've shown some emotional and other sides of ocd instead of the stereotypical 'everything needs to be organised' ocd representation. I loveee Jee but it would've been nice to know a bit more about him.

I love the actor of Jee in general. Jee is played by Kayavine and he is a YouTuber, although he hasn't posted in years and he seems like a very nice and fun person. I wish he got more roles, not specifically in bl main character but as side character. He really pulls off the 'comfort side character' in this series. I love him. I really hope he gets more roles and maybee even as main!

Only after episode 7 it gets interesting, to be honest I almost dropped it because yes, it was fun, BUT I was interested in why Solar regressed into Sun. This is obviously my opinion. I did really find comfort in Sun though.

I'm happy we're getting the side from Pobmek aswell and how he struggles with this. Around episode 8 we really get to see his emotions. Ofcourse he loves Sun but he's obviously tired of having to look after him all the time and some other things. Episode 8 in general was really emotional.

Would I recommend it? Yes, but you kinda HAVE to like this type of bl or it isn't something you'll enjoy. I have to say I like it wayyy more than I originally expected when I saw the trailer.

Fantastic!

Well-written, elegant, and unpretentious.

The writing, pacing, and (above all) the acting deliver some fine entertainment in this drama. But, sadly, we viewers have to wade through some tired tropes and overused plot devices to get to the good stuff. More about that in a moment.

Why is everyone wearing mostly black and white in this drama? Apparently that seems to be the fashion in Korean work culture these days. And you can see why--black stands for simplicity, elegance, formality–and conformity.

On a more granular level, Ju In-A is a monochrome kind of person–acting in deference to the company logic–at least that’s how it seems at first. The corporate culture at Haemu strives to control every aspect of each employee’s behavior, stifling everything unconventional, quirky, and human.

But there’s another side to Ju In A–and we see it most clearly when Noh Ki-jun discovers her somewhat unconventional hobby. This black and white woman begins to turn into a fully fleshed out human being (pun intended).

Shin Hye Sun reveals all the nuances of Ju In-A’s character little by little. Noh Ki-jun is a wonderful partner in this transition. They play off each other better than any two leads I’ve seen in recent dramas.

My only complaint is the succession of banalities that even a drama as excellent as this one seems to feel it necessary to display.

If I see one more prefabricated plot element, where, for example, the ML tries to hook a toy with a mechanical claw for the FL or shows he cares by applying a bandage to a wound you can’t see without a magnifying glass--or someone in a drunken stupor has to be carted home by someone else with a secret crush on that person--I swear I’ll call the cliche police.

Other than that–good work!

juicy plot twist by ep 3

found the first 2 episodes a bit corny/typical. and then they added such a twist by around episode 3 which is certainly not typical. made the plot so much juicier and different and eventually i was hooked and really loved the further scenes. not used to both leads being quite as beautiful as this, so was really interesting to get into for this.

vroom vroom

first: weiling and saitharn had the most compelling romance in this entire drama. I need a whole spinoff about weiling and saitharn and their domestic bliss post all of this bullshit.

second: i do not ship kee and lalin. the show speedran through their romance so we barely got any cute scenes past the first episode, and then the rest of it was just kee lying about who she is and why she's with her, and we're supposed to believe that's not messed up and ship them anyway? yeah, no thanks. their relationship started under false pretenses and i think kee should have been made to pay for it with more than just the cold shoulder for 1 episode.

third: i hate the camera they used to film this. technically ridiculous choice.

other memorable moments:

at one point, lalin tells kee: "i know you've been through so much pain, but your dad loved you so, so much. how about you only treasure the good memories of him?" this is immediately after they find out that kee's father was abusive to kee's mother, and while i liked kee's response to this, this was just a really stupid thing to have the love interest say.

at another point, lalin gets kidnapped while her wife is doing donuts in the parking lot.

honourable mention: kee showing a woman who has just had a heart attack and is laying in a hospital bed a live feed of her missing daughter being held at gunpoint. what. the. fuck.

Stylized Shinsengumi Drama That Sacrifices Historical Authenticity

As a historical drama fan, I found this series visually decent but disappointing in terms of historical authenticity. The portrayal of the Shinsengumi, especially the relationship dynamics between the two leads, strongly implies homoerotic undertones connected to the historical practice of shudo among some samurai. While there is historical basis for that aspect, the series leans so heavily into it that it sometimes feels closer to “boys’ love” than a grounded historical drama.

The story also skips important early history by starting after the Roshigumi had already formed instead of showing the Shieikan days. Many historical scenes were either omitted, heavily improvised, or only loosely inspired by real events rather than accurately portrayed. Even Serizawa Kamo’s henchmen were just treated as background extras.

Another issue was the aesthetic direction. The traditional chonmage hairstyles were mostly removed in favor of long-haired “anime-style samurai” looks, which made the setting feel less authentic. Although I'm not against an anime hairstyle, it would be great if there were few chonmage hairstyle in the series. The swordfight choreography was also sloppy in several scenes, looked fake and lacked the intention and intensity expected from a Shinsengumi drama.

I also think the series could have benefited from a broader cast dynamic (especially more women casts) instead of focusing almost entirely on emotionally intimate interactions between male characters. At times, the leads seemed written more like romantic gay partners than comrades-in-arms.

Overall, it’s more of a stylized reinterpretation of the Shinsengumi rather than a historically faithful adaptation.

wish it was longer/had a special episode

Overall: with only 6 25 minute episodes, they needed to take out/reduce screentime of the main conflict as there wasn't enough time to properly develop their relationship. It's still cute with a solid ending. I gave this an indie rating bump. Aired on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/1p9j07cqimg?lang=en_us&sh_pltf=4 and seems to also be airing on YouTube https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0P6L1kgy3ITUD-fneCgsyV7-PgDeZuRO&si=vb2NTEwOIj-EXVIX

Content Warnings: punch, past homophobia, cyber bullying, non con touching

What I Liked
- different personalities
- up front about who they were attracted to/sexual orientation
- noble idiot trope interrupted
- a character sided with the guy he loved and stood up to his own company

Room For Improvement
- the 2 false accusations (in reality it is extremely rare to falsely accuse someone of this)
- rushed romantic development, needed more time to focus on their relationship
- (neutral) quite a lot of far away/camera blocked shots for the kissing and also the interrupted kiss

Cringe

Well, it’s something fresh in cdramas, more intense and less innocent. If this would be adapted from novel, it would be novel written by 13y old.. A lot of things do not make sense, story is speed up and interactions are forced (she hang on a rope, empty space under her but she falls on the ground on him??). Although scenario is not bad, modern buildings etc, but this fake ass octopus made me laugh and I felt like watching indian drama, which is pretty lame. And one minute before this fake ass octopus they fall from the structure, falling on heart shaped balloons- how unrealistic and hilarious. I enjoy this as i’m a simple person and i like spicy things, but it’s cringe which is sad as the story has a potential. If you are inmature and haven’t red and watched good written stories you will happy.

Small Town, Smaller Sparks

"Once Upon A Small Town"
Completed: May 2026
Rating: 8.0/10

Throughout the twelve episodes,I kept wondering how Choo Young Woo ended up in this project? While the drama itself was decent, he was undeniably the stronger actor throughout. His performance as the new village veterinarian brought warmth and sincerity to the series, and at times, his interactions with the animals felt more natural and emotionally convincing than some of the relationships with the people around him.

The female lead,Joy as she is known, unfortunately, did not fully work for me. She only seemed to settle into her character much later in the drama, particularly once the dating phase began where she suddenly became more daring, expressive, and emotionally open. However, instead of strengthening the romance, it created an awkward imbalance because Choo Young Woo’s character often looked completely lost in response to her actions, almost as though he did not know how to react to this new dynamic. Rather than feeling charming, those moments became surprisingly difficult to watch.

That said, the drama still earns an 8.0/10, mainly because of the Male Lead’s performance and the refreshing absence of toxic behavior or unnecessary melodrama. Without those strengths, it probably would have landed closer to a 7.7, since the plot and characters were honestly some of the most underwhelming parts of the series. Ironically, the animals ended up being the true stars of the show, and the Male Lead’s struggles with them added a lot of charm and much-needed comic relief.

The story itself is gentle, slow-paced, and relatively uneventful, but after the emotional rollercoaster that was my last drama "Summer Strike" , marketed like a peaceful small town healing story before delivering thriller-like plot at every turn, "Once Upon A Small Town" felt like a calm recovery watch. Not particularly memorable or thrilling, but comforting enough when all you want is something soft, quiet, and stress-free.
