Started well but ended with no end

I just happened to watch this drama on Viki after reading the synopsis. It started well. Though there was an age gap, the chemistry between the leads was visible. Lee Bum Soo played his character well. Yoona was ok, not bad. The kids were awesome and it was pleasant to watch their interaction with the Ajhumma. There are no villians in this drama. The story telling itself is a villian. Two wasted characters are of chief secretary and Chief of staff both falling into unrequited love. Atleast they did not sabotage the Prime Minister's relationship with Da Jeong. Even the character Park Joon Gi was not evil. He looked a lot like Yoo Yeon Seok. The politics could have been interesting like in historic dramas. But nothing of that sort. Why to bring a dead character to life? Entire momentum built up from beginning went down the drain once the dead wife returns. The ending was so pale. So Kwan Yul and Da Jeong are together or not? The Intro scene in all episodes showed a kiss between the leads in the rain. In which episode its shown ? Was it cut on Viki? Overall a big disappointment

Amazing show for those who like emotionally complex characters and guessing games

Best drama in a long time for people who appreciate slightly morally gray and deep characters with great chemistry, subtle story telling and some investigation and mystery along the way.

The best parts :

(1) Chemistry and angst (and Miao Jing's exceptional rage baiting and flirting skills 😂)

(2) Complex characters : I don't think it makes sense to watch this show wondering whether ML or FL are green flags or fair to each other or not. It's deeper than that because part of who they are in present times is a result of how they grew up surviving together and how they trauma-bonded. They love each other to death but are also constantly triggering each other's deepest fears.

They lack proper communication but still try in their own way to be sincere towards one another. The whole point of the show is to watch them try to overcome that. If the push and pull felt repetitive or even annoying to some people, I think it was absolutely necessary to their developement as characters.

(3) Acting : Song Weilong and Zhang Jingyi didn't only act, they understood their characters. ML was extremely far from a stoic cold boy who runs for his sassy princess. Song Weilong made him a warm ML, caught in his trauma and frustration but still capable of a wide range of emotions besides anger and indifference. Same for FL. She was played strong headed sometimes to a fault but also desperate to show her love in a way he would finally receive it.

(4) Story telling : the story telling of this show, which somewhat follows the novel in its pacing, is to leave details and clues for the viewer while slowly uncovering the plot. Episode 11 is a turning point that may feel rushed but everything is explained OR suggested along the way. Interpretation of details plays a big role here. I really liked the investigation part of it as well. But heads up on the fact that it may feel confusing for certain people who would rather not focus too much on the buisness talk.

The weaker points:

(1) the SML : this man was useless. They already had enough to resolve on their own, they didn't need the "love rival" trigger at all.

(2) The coherence of the plot : Their respective motivation for being involved with Mr Zhang's shady buiness and also how it's linked to past events is only understood in the last part of the show. For more than half of it, the viewer will be left with questions about the coherence of the character's actions. But it all comes together eventually.

P.S : special mention to Bo Zai played by Miao Ruopeng, hilarious secondary character offering great comic relief.

P.P.S : I personally hate when people who grew up with true sibling vibes switch to romance. In LFY, they make it pretty clear from the beginning that they are NOT siblings and don't really behave as such.

A bitter sweet tragedy

Love, Lies was a beautiful tale of friendship, betrayal, and revenge. Honestly, I do not blame the way she chose to take revenge on her best friend and the boyfriend, as they were so wrong for betraying her and discarding her like an object.

The story itself is interesting because it doesn’t just highlight a friend who steals your boyfriend, but it’s a story of a friend who steals all of your dreams. It starts with stealing her dream of becoming the heart of Josen, then she takes away the respect of the singer she admires, then the popularity, and then the boyfriend. It feels painful because she was the one who opened a door for her friend when she was sold off, and after all this, she takes everything and leaves her with nothing. The worst part is the way the best friend was expecting her to still come and support her, blind to her own actions.

I don’t blame the way she decided to take revenge; I think the way her own best friend and the boyfriend were barely giving any thought to her really showed how much they did not care about her. It gave her this feeling of not being important and easily discardable, and those feelings are the ones that make a person take revenge and destroy it all.

The ending was so sad, and you can see how much being underestimated and discarded affected her. It is a bittersweet movie and a terrible tragedy for everyone involved.

Acting-wise, I really enjoyed them, but I wish some of the areas were a bit more prolonged to build a bit more buildup. But overall, it was a nice watch.

The drama spared nothing in displaying cinematography, visuals and aesthetics, that speaks volumes at sight and not just mere words, with variations of shots, colour blending, and different colour scheme; wide Landscape shots, beautiful scenic shots, opulent palace buildings, a visually striking contrast between the night blue surroundings and the warm-toned firelight, visual variations of colour schemes adding depth to the eerie Gwi world.

The drama not only provides cinematography that conveys splendid vibes, but the actors also deliver great performances in their varied characters.
This drama marks Nam Joo Hyuk's lead role in the last three years, capturing the essence of his character change from a nonchalant and willful Gu Chron into someone trustworthy and caring
Roh Yoon Seo, as one of those actresses I haven't seen before, surprises me bit by bit, portraying the strong-willed Saeng Gang, who hides emotional scars, relating to her family, and gradually learns the secrets of the East Palace (with Gu Chron) over the course of the story.
Cho Seung Woo is that actor who owns his scenes, portraying the secretive and deceptive King Ju Sang, giving a perfect balance at, emotional restraint, lingering fatherly love and deep regret.

My major highlights from this drama is the gradual positive change of mindset as the leads interacted regularly, from the awkward and distrusting dialogues, into a genuine interaction and deep friendship, stemming from the cares they show, hidden underneath their stoic, distrusting appearance.

The drama gave a raw depiction on how cruel and ruthless humans go for power.
It was really heartbreaking, looking at the flashbacks of the King poisoning his own son for the secrets he learnt over the years, I found it hard believing a King (a Father) would murder his own son because of he knows some secrets. The King sending his daughter to be a court lady, for the fear of the disgrace she would bring to his power and his kingship, when people eventually learner of her abilities, was reasonable, but an utter disgrace unto him as a father. When the King immediately woke up from his death bed and ordered the death of more than a hundred people, presiding under his kingdom, it was utterly painful how he disregards human lives. With how cruel and ruthless the King was I gradually questioned myself if Gu Cheon protection was convenient with his amount of evil, he created a cause by several killings at innocent lives, the effects should have been his own death.
The King's mother who was seemingly innocent, was the utter depiction of evil, causing the death of innocent lives for the sake of power, the throne, your son's rule, she deserves a very cruel death, but the ending gave her nothing but freedom.


That was really satisfying as an ending; Saeng Gang dropping all her emotional burdens and personality restraint, crying helplessly at the river Gu Cheon mother died, just having that little hope he might come to life, That scene tore me. Gi Cheon spirit residing back in his body and that lovely hug with a very deep sense of a pure care, mended me - showing something intimate and romantic. Gu Cheon last interaction with the King was supposedly the best dialogue of this drama, it felt really playful. Gu Cheon heading out of the palace soliloquising whether the King would change his mind, and ask for his death, gave me a deep chuckle, Saeng Gang deciding to follow him to deal with his own affairs, proved an evident romantic relationship. The last scene in which that little creature (ggeokmasali), looking at that chain linking at the palace, gave hints to a S2


The east palace is a historical K drama that makes good use of supernatural (spirits and ghosts), in driving an effect, at the creulty of humans, perfectly blending mystery, long buried secrets and tip of intrigue, making the drama engaging, even towards the end, twists and turns exist at a minimal rate, as some of the twist were expected, but I say I enjoyed the series.

Good actors and a good first 2/3

This series has a fulminate start, there are a lot of really interesting and different characters, several motivations and conflicts, tremendously humor, fast peace and mostly very good and attractive actors in all ranges of age.
Even more: writing and filming are very carefully done, we get plenty of beautiful details like breaking waves reflected in the window of a beach restaurant, like appropriate music coming from the radio in the car while the characters are discussing, etc. This is absolutely a lot higher than the standard for a 50 episodes series.

As a 200m courses trained athlete cannot keep the same pace for a marathon, the story and the motivations and the conflicts (and the lovely details) dilute till almost nothing after the first two thirds. Some parts are blandly written and accordingly played by hardly motivated actors; some parts are just nonsense fillings - I had the feeling that the writer and the director went for holiday and some poor AI system took their place. Definitively, the result had been much better if it had only 30 and not 50 episodes. Towards the end, things are hurried and rashly put into their good nice place.

Altogether: a great occasion to act for some beautiful and talented actors at all ages, enjoyable for a long time, yet not one of the top 3 family dramas. I'll miss some of the actors and hope to see them soon again.

GREATEST LOWKEY LOVE: raw, human, and defies the misery of life.

WOW! total package drama
i never rooted so much for such a lowkey deep love story.
What i love about this show is that we see how messed up, imperfect, messy the main characters are, and yet, they find hope and purpose in all the chaos and mistakes. finding acceptance and resilience in what you can't escape.

we also see what misery they were stuck in, the production did a great job showing it, and sometimes 'alluring' to things without being too explicit.
how can you expect a classic 'healthy' relationship? how can you have hope when u feel you can't escape the conditions you are in? In that sense it is a dysfunctional relationship.
Mao did mature when she comes back, but they are both so broken so the way they are with each other is already impressive yet tragic at the same time.

Chen is so selfless in trying to protect her, you see how hard it is to escape the tough background they both come from.
This show is truly an ode to lowkey love that is raw, messy, but innocent and grounded.

*******seeing a couple evolve out of codependency and trauma bonding is actually very very impressive and refreshing storywise. *******

The production did a great job in the time control : we follow the main leads across decades with the right key moments without being repetitive or cliché ( there are exceptions😅) while staying SUPER consistent with the details. the actual plot and story was really compelling.
the show is also full of nice imagery, patterns,...with close-up scenes, but in a few moments the editing style is cringe. the story is definitely not cringe. it is also at the perfect pace: fast when needed, and slow to capture the simplicity and rawness of the moment.

the tile is fitting:'love for you'. they still had love even if the world did not give them anything.
" A dream I won't wake up from" OST perfectly captured the vibe of the show. oh yes, THE VIBE of the show, bittersweet in everyway and full of nostalgia.

update: I have now completed the show and the production has been amazing. the consistency between the different years, the patterns of little moments and habits, the cinematography ,the OST the actors, were truly exceptional. this show doesn't scream, it establishes itself in all the nostalgia and innocence. one of my favourite cdramas now.

And they lived happily, even after the lie

An intriguing, unique, and very engaging plot. The story follows a cop who crosses paths with an assassin while visiting his friend’s house, the same place where every hidden lie is eventually revealed. The buildup was done really well, with each episode becoming more intense as the story progressed.

“I’m in love with the criminal.” Their relationship was one of the highlights. They argue, clash, and then end up sharing incredibly intimate moments afterward. The chemistry between them is undeniably sexy. Seo Yi Do is especially captivating, with his rugged masculine physique and sharp, defined features.

The reveal that Chu Tae Jeong’s longtime friends were involved in his father’s death was a solid twist, although I admittedly saw it coming. That episode was absolute chaos, in the best way possible. So many characters were stabbed or shot, yet somehow the two lovebirds remained alive and kicking through it all.

Overall, it was a good drama, though I feel it could have pushed its story even further, especially the ending. The execution of the scenes, especially the action sequences, was flawless. I had a great time watching it.

A Rushed Romance !!

Halfway through the drama and I am NOT FEELING IT YET!

No one does enemies-to-lovers better than Shin Hye-sun. She is a certified baddie. I love how she keeps choosing these badass, girl-boss roles, and she's absolutely killing it here too. But I'm still not completely sold on the male lead. He feels a little too soft for an enemies-to-lovers dynamic. That said, maybe I'll change my mind as the story progresses.

I'm currently on episode 6 and if things haven't changed by halfway through the season, I doubt they're going to change much in the second half but I’ll keep watching for my girl Shin Hye Sun.

My biggest issue is the romance. It feels super rushed and underdeveloped. They're clearly aiming for a more mature romance and I get that it’s a no nonsense, get straight into it kinda romance , but even then, it feels way too early for them to be this close. By episode 4, they've already lost a lot of the enemies-to-lovers tension, which is usually the most enjoyable part of the trope. Maybe the pacing is because it's only a 12 episode drama, but it still doesn't feel earned.

My other concern is the procedural aspect of the drama. Every episode introduces a new case, but none of them have been particularly intriguing to me. I was hoping the show would spend more time developing the main characters and their relationship, but instead, so much screen time is devoted to the weekly cases that I still feel like I barely know the leads. Maybe that'll change later, but by episode 5 I feel like I should already have some emotional connection to the characters or the story and right now, I just don't.

Also, I'm wondering what happened to the male lead's goal of getting promoted or transferred? It feels like that motivation has completely faded into the background.

dropped but not for the bad AI

Everyone was incredibly hyped for this drama —especially because of Zhang Linghe's performance in Pursuit of Jade —and I really wanted to love it too. Just to make things clear: this review isn't coming from a fandom perspective. I'm not here to defend or attack any actor. In fact, I think both leads are doing the best they can with the material they were given.

A lot of the discussion has been about the AI-generated opening. Yes, I think it's a poor creative choice, but honestly? It's the least of this drama's problems. You can skip an opening. You can't skip weak storytelling.

The biggest issue is that everything feels painfully rushed. The dialogue is almost entirely exposition, constantly telling us how epic and emotional this story is instead of letting us experience it. Over and over information is given through dialogue. "He is the abandoned son." "She is X." "They do Y!" and it is so unatural it hurts. Relationships are established through a few lines and scattered scenes, but they're never given room to breathe, so none of the emotional beats actually land.

The editing and directing make things even worse. I've seen people compare it to a vertical drama you'd find on YouTube, and... I hate to say it, but they're not wrong. Which is frustrating because the production design is genuinely beautiful. The sets and costumes are gorgeous, and you have two very capable leads who have already proven themselves in other projects. Yet they barely get the chance to act before the camera cuts away again in blurry ways. Instead, we're constantly getting overly dramatic close-ups with generic background music, as if every single scene was designed to become a TikTok edit rather than exist as a complete, well-paced moment.

I only made it through episode 3, and by that point I was still trying to understand why the male lead is supposedly so deeply in love with the female lead. I know the script keeps telling me he is, but I don't feel it, and the chemistry is nule. The frantic pacing, the constant cuts, the awkward lighting, and the lack of properly developed scenes never give the story a chance to grow for me. For something that looks expensive on paper, it rarely feels like a high-budget production.

This isn't a hate review. It has nothing to do with the AI controversy, and it certainly has nothing to do with fandom wars. I'm criticizing what I actually watched. I wish people would stop dismissing every negative review as "haters being haters." Sometimes a drama simply doesn't work, and people have perfectly valid reasons for saying so. Unfortunately, for me, this is one of those cases.

brillant establishing moment for Ai mi

a few episodes away from the finale, i can say this show is a very classic story, in what is expected from a historical drama, with the cliché tropes... But they did get a LOT of things right and well done.

I got a déja vu when yaoyao turns around to save xiao on the boat, like the moment chang yu in pursuit of jade turns around to save ML from the snow. it's a decisive moment that shows both characters courage and being perfect match for each other. it's always nice to see.

My favourite thing about key to the pheonix heart is Ai mi's character developpement. i follow Ai mi since her appearance in the double and she is truly so talented. I know the show could have had some scenes directed differently had she not been this young and it's very respectable at least.

my second favourite thing was aimi's character relation with her mom. her mom was one of the very interesting supporting characters. i wish she had more scenes as she really fuelled a lot of the mystery and intrigue and poise.
What made their relationship so special is how it evolved from being complete opposites.

With only 28 episodes, the show often seems rushed in the plot.
Main leads mostly carried this show, i found the opening and first episode too exaggerated but they did show the almost lunatic/insanity and dedication of the ML. He also evolves a lot, but we don't see enough of it.

the story has enough intrigue, character depth for a longer dive than 28 episodes, where we don't just see the decisive end-actions but the journey and day in/out of their adventures. they definitely did not use the main characters talents enough.

Themes of freedom, power and use of technology for justice vs power come up nicely too.

if you like historical drama its a nice one, but having watched so many already, the plot feels scripted and fluffy enough you never get lost in it.
will be tuning for the last episodes!

Wish There Was More

I Cannot Reach You a cute BL that was short and to the point. It has been a little over a month I believe since I have actually completed this show, but I forgot I could write reviews. This review won't be incredibly detailed due to the show not being fresh in my brain. Other than that, please enjoy. Here are some of my pros and cons.

Pros:
- It was SO cute. Literally kicking my feet like a school girl at some scenes.

- I loved the love interest/second main lead. I related a lot to him in his personality when it comes to being close to something you cannot have. And when you can finally have it, you become too much for the other person to handle.

- Communication is key. I appreciate that they talked things out at least once per episode. It was refreshing to see considering most shows or movies rely on miscommunication to move their story forward. Although there was a few miscommunications throughout this story each miscommunication was solved shortly after it started. This is much more realistic because why wouldn't you want to talk something out (miscommunication or otherwise) if you truly wanted to be with them?

- My favorite character has to be the main side guy who kept pushing the two main guys together. Lwk wish he had more screentime. With him being incredibly chill with them being gay, it seemed like he was as well? That would've been a cool side story if the show was longer.

- The main female interest was also super kind. I liked how they didn't make her evil like how most shows make the main girl in a BL rude or just straight up the villainess. But no, she was super sweet and understanding. I wish her the best.

Cons:
- I didn't necessarily care for the Main guy's personality. It was a bit too much. In some scenes, it felt like watching an anime girl with some of the more dramatic expressions he has.

- I wished it was longer. -that is the real complaint. Cute short show.

The last few episodes are dragging

This series was not on my watchlist; after seeing it, I immediately started watching it. The first few episodes were amazing. I love Hou Ming Hao and Ai Mi. Including this, I watched four series Hou Ming Hao played, and three series Ai Mi played, though this is the first time I've seen Ai Mi as the main female actress. And after Lu Yu Xiao, I can say that this is the only time I've loved a female actress with Hou Ming Hao so much. I love their chemistry.

I'm not going to comment on the age gap, because even if they haven't cast Ai Mi, they would still choose someone young to play Xie Jia Yu.

Obviously, the team behind this series planned it to be plot-driven, instead of a romance series. I watched many dramas that put plot first and subtle romance second, but this drama is not like that. At first, it was plot-driven, but as I'm writing this review, I have watched 23 episodes, and now it is more focused on a romantic relationship, even though there is no romance to see. Xiao Wuyi and Xie Jiayu just say that they love and care for each other, but we don't really see that love in their actions.

Since Ai Mi was 17 years old when this was filmed, we are not going to see any intimate scenes, but then they should fill that space with something else. They could have done it with plot and action, but I don't see any of it as of now; they used all of that in the first episodes. Another thing they could use is another romantic relationship; there are a few hints of that with Xiao Yao (the eldest son of Prince Jingan) and He Yuan Ji (the first wife of Xiao Wuyi), also with Li Lejun and Mu Lian Yu. But only hints, it is not enough to draw our attention away from the main couple.

At first, I thought Xiao Wuyi was a more cruel and battle-hardened person, but he lost that; he is very merciful and soft now. He has no will to be emperor or to rule. I don't want to see such characteristics from a general. Xiao Wuyi wants to achieve things through Li Mao; he put his hope in someone like Li Mao to rule, and we are seeing the results of that hope: He was stabbed and tortured by Li Mao. And the weird thing is, sometimes Li Mao is like his friend, and sometimes his enemy. After being tortured by Li Mao, Xiao Wuyi drinks tea with him, as if his life were not on the line because of him.

So, I am not very happy with how this series is going. I will probably watch it until the end; there are only five more episodes, but I am already disappointed.

Phenomenal Acting, Great Story, and a Finale That Fell Just Short

Little Women, although contrary to the 1868 novel, is an incredible story. Here are my pros & cons. There are some spoilers so please don't read if you haven't watched already.

Pros:
- The acting is phenomenal. In the scene where the oldest sister slept with the flower, she truly felt like a different person. All the actors and their emotions felt so realistic. The acting was probably my favorite part of the entire show. The oldest sister's actress has amazing acting talent

- They even acted correctly with their respective personalities. Although very poor, the second oldest sister wanted the oldest sister to turn in the money because it wasn't hers. She even kept that "fight for justice" trait throughout the series and did everything in her power to have justice served. Also, I liked how in the beginning we knew the mother was lwk crazy, and they continued to keep her that level of crazy. Like yes, I crazy person who is dedicated to their society would let their husband die because they failed even though they love him. And yes, a crazy person would kidnap people and do all this stuff. In other words, I liked how she didn't "become crazy" like how most villains do in shows once it is known that they are the villain. She was crazy from the start.

- The story was very intriguing. Personally, I love shows & movies with murder mysteries. If you like those too, this is peak. Lots of deaths and lots of mysteries. I also liked how they didn't make the show demonic or anything. They could have with people seeing visions when smelling the flowers, but they chose not to which I really appreciate. Also, the completed story of the flower was very good. From the start to finish, I was very interested in how the show would thaw out the flower society's storyline.

- The side stories were very interesting. I loved the side story with the In-hye and her best friend. To me, that was a phenomenal story that fit their characters perfectly.

- The twist were pretty good. My favorite has to be the one where Hwa-young in Singapore was actually In-hye's best friend's mother (I don't really remember names well). It was well planned out where we, as the audience, could really expect it to be Hwa-young. But again, we saw her body, we knew she was dead, and we never saw "her" face when she was running away. Also, the twist where the mother was the real villain was very well planned out due to her line where she used the word "man servant (or at least something similar)" to her husband in the first few episodes. It showed that writers already had planned out she was the real villain as she had power over her husband, but they chose to just give a few snippets of hints to who the real villain was.

- The character development was good but not great. The oldest sister seemed to be the only one with REAL character development. Even with hoping Hwa-young was still alive, she never brought the money with her nor did she give away her gun. In the earlier episodes, the oldest sister- who is very naive -would absolutely bring the money with her for Hwa-young. But throughout the story she learned her lesson. I also liked for her that she still had some "naive-ness" with her at the end showing people just don't change a large portion of their personality over night but they improve on their lower qualities over time. Also, I liked the small character development of In-hye. She throughout the story started to become a real friend to her "best friend" and starting being more caring with her older sisters who did EVERYTHING they could for her. I also liked how they explained her reasoning on why she acting the way she did.

- I LOVED that the brought back stuff discussed in the earlier episodes instead of just forgetting about them like how most shows or movies do. For me, I loved that they brought back the apartment that the main girl wanted to get for her and her family. When she was first in the apartment, she could finally imagine a life where her and her sisters wouldn't be punished for being poor, but could live in a clean, beautiful place peacefully. When she came back to the apartment, it showed that she now could have that life even if it wasn't with her living with her sisters.

- The ending was satisfying. It wasn't the best ending I could think of though. The best ending of any show doesn't have to be just a "good ending" but it has to fit the story the best. I liked how everyone got a happy ending, so I wasn't crying in my bed over how sad it could be. The heroes got what the needed and the villains were dead.

Cons:
- I disliked a few of their remaining connections. Like what happened with Ma-ri? Why would they STILL be in contact with their mother after everything that she did? Why did In-hye's best friend have no reaction to BOTH of her parent's dying when earlier she was fine with her father being a killer because at least he wasn't poor? Why was the father shown at Hwa-young's place both in the dashcam AND in the oldest sister's flower infected dream when he wasn't the killer? How did Choi not get in any trouble after lwk lying to the court saying it is all his fault when Hwa-young later says it is all her fault? How can the main girl forgive Hwa-young so easily even though she was using her in the mother's game? Why was the mother's game about the main girl mentioned like once then dropped?

- I didn't care for Hwa-young's reasoning for why she was still alive. "It was this girl who wanted to khs. So, we decided to switch lives" ?? I'm sure websites like that do, in fact, exist. That isn't the problem. It is the problem that it took TWO YEARS for the switch to start happening. "She had to grow out her hair" was one of the reasons it took so long. JUST CUT YOUR HAIR OMG. I thought it was stupid and could've been explained better.

- The climax was boring and VERY anticlimactic. It had a lot of potential with the mother being very crazy and the hydrochloric acid replacing the water, but the main girl got Hwa-young out of their so fast and her fight with the mother didn't even last a minute. Worst of all, she came out unscathed.

- The ending was a little too happy. Although I really like the ending because it was happy, I just feel like it went too smoothly. A bit unrealistic. Also, only the last two episodes was I a TAD bit bored with the whole court case and everything.

- Although not a technically con, I really hoped for a romance between the main girl and Choi. They had fantastic chemistry and proved on many different occasions that they liked or at least cared for each other. For the main girl (although she kept questioning his trust because he is morally grey), she showed she liked him a bit at least when she was with her sister and the one guy when they first found out about the deeper connection of the flower. For Choi, he LITERALLY risked his life on multiple occasions for her. The main reasoning behind that one is in the climax. He already knew where all the money was while she didn't. But, he still chose to save her life. Also, do I need to mention the little "I'll see you soon" smirk in his last scene? I had hoped that the main girl's final scene would be leaving for Greece with all her money since the reason she didn't originally was because she didn't have that money. Also, he literally was setting himself up to go to jail for her in the court scene, just saying. No way he cared for money more than her at the end.

Overall:
- Solid show. 8.5/10 imp. Great mystery with great actors just needs a bit of a touch up on some loose threads and a better climax.
