Better than expected but still so predictable...

After "Love in the Moonlight" I did not expect much... but at least it was not painful to watch. It's still sooooooooooooo predictable, sooooooooo black/white characters and sooooo much forced drama. At least the pictures are pretty, even prettier compared to "Love in the Moonlight".

And because it is as it is, I have not much to say about it. To have a relationsship with the a man whos uncle killed his mom, seems a bit too ridicilous for me especially when his first move was to "steal" his scent and burned his village. For me, this whole story did not make much sense. Most of the time I felt bored out of my mind, because after episode 2 you can predict excactly what will happen.

Overall a medicore show framed in beautiful pictures but very shallow and very trashy. So if you want to watch it, be my guest, it's one of the better shows in the (two) month(s) of crap thai BL.

A very good series,

in which all the characters had their own past, logic, character, and they were all very well used. I also liked the last episode, which offered several different options. Overall, it is well thought out, funny, and at the same time rough and cruel. The series has a really beautiful visual aspect, costumes, and environment. In places, it looks like something out of a fairy tale. There is the right amount of humor, action, and tension and sparks between the characters. Of course, they take their time, but that doesn't matter. Although I sometimes enjoyed the relationships of the secondary couples more than the main one. Especially during the period of various campaigns. But overall, it is an eye-pleasing and undemanding spectacle that I really enjoyed.

The ultimate vigilante masterpiece. Satisfyingly brutal from start to finish! (10/10)

I officially completed it, and it is an absolute 10/10 masterclass.
Teach You a Lesson is a fast-paced masterpiece that perfectly scratches that justice itch, especially when it comes to raising awareness about juvenile crime and school bullying. It exposes the frustrating loophole where underage villains exploit the law to get away with gangs, drugs, and horrific crimes, hiding behind their minor status like a shield.
Watching Na Hwa Jin put them in their place and beat them into submission is the ultimate dopamine hit. Every single antagonist who deserved to be bitch-slapped was dealt with in the most satisfying way possible. Seeing these characters finally face brutal, real consequences is pure therapy.
Structurally, this show is brilliant. The pacing is insane from the very first minute to the final frame. The writing is so efficient that it packs a punch and covers storylines in a single episode that would normally take other dramas a whole 16-episode arc to resolve—it is all killer, no filler.
The finale left me completely obsessed. That final scene of the last episode definitely teased something brewing between the female lead and the second male lead! They showed major signs that they might already have—or will develop—real feelings for each other. Because of that dynamic, I am fully expecting a Season 2 by next year. We need more angst, an even more badass comeback, and a fresh batch of evil villains for them to dismantle.
Huge kudos to the screenwriter, director, and the entire cast for delivering this absolute piece of art. No matter where you're watching from, this is a powerful, must-watch drama that shows exactly why the younger generation needs to be guided onto the right path.
An absolute masterpiece!

Cute and fun easy watch

Great drama when you need something cute, romantic, and "easy to swallow".

NGL, I was expecting to like Jisoo's acting less, but for a drama like this, she was good! The entire cast felt well chosen, and everyone played their part well.

I honestly liked that the story didn't go too deep into what this new VR dating technology means to society. I feel like that wouldn't fit the easy-going theme of the drama. To me, the story was fleshed out just the right amount.

7,5 might seem like a lower score, but to me, that is just the perfect score for a drama like this. It wasn't groundbreaking, but it was a nice watch to take a rest between other heavier dramas.

A Promising Adventure Undone by Weak Romance

Fateful Love starts strong with Han Zi Qing, a capable and resourceful heroine who joins Jun Bei Yue, Tianque's Fourth Prince, to uncover the truth behind the human puppet tragedy. I enjoyed the adventure aspect of the drama, as the leads travelled from place to place gathering clues while the supporting characters gradually revealed their connections to the central mystery.

Unfortunately, the romance never lived up to its potential. Jun Bei Yue's feelings were clear, but Han Zi Qing's emotional development felt underwritten, making their deep, life-and-death love story difficult to believe. They often felt more like a couple because the script said so rather than because of genuine chemistry.

The mystery itself was decent but not particularly brilliant, and the drama held onto its reveals for too long, leading to a rushed ending with very little closure. The modern-day reunion raises more questions than answers.

Overall, Fateful Love is a perfectly watchable, low-commitment drama with an engaging premise, a competent female lead, and enjoyable adventures. It's a good "kill time" watch, but not one that left a lasting impression on me.

actions speak louder than words

the epitome of get a taste of your own medicine without ever actually mentioning it. i defnitely didn't think id watch this at first but after seeing so many edits of it on tiktok i gave it a go and it did not dissapoint. i was iffy about it at first, since violence to respond to violence is not the best way to address such situations. but seeing how they addressed it in the drama was perfect and violence was only used to let the students have a taste of their own medicine or they would've never understood what they have done wrong.
it addressed very real issues within the education field not only in south Korea but all over the world there is someone who is living the reality of the stories mentioned in the drama.

My take on this

man... i have watched the old version and this is more accurate to the novel but lu feng characteristics and understanding of his character changes in both versions
but the toxicity in the novel .... it just makes my heart heavy and left feeling empty after reading the novel spoilers and how all the novels are interconnected and their relationship with each other
Lu Feng is the most romantic yearner but he is also a scum of all the scums
Yi Chen also a toxic person with how indecisive he is and a coward who runs away the second something goes wrong
he also keeps Lu Feng as the last person to consider compare to other people like his mom, brother, etc
in comparison Lu Feng left everything for him like his family, business just for Yi Chen to break up with him when he just left everything for him

Since there are no reviews for a drama this good.... I'll provide one

If you're unsure about whether to start it or not, then I would say totally go for it!
It was fun, light and a good show to watch. It was actually really solid considering it's only a short drama. Both the leads are so good looking and cute ..... And most importantly, they can act. The chemistry was subtle but cute.
If Low budget , high performance drama had a name, this would be it.
The plot was so logically designed, you will feel satisfied with the ending bcuz the plot has no loopholes.
Also the poster does it no justice, I believe, bcuz ML looks 10x cuter than he is in the poster. The amount of time I said he looks really good while watching this was unhealthy. And if you know Tan yanyan from the short drama industry, you would already have an idea on how good she looks and acts. My queen! And the reason for even starting this.

I think if you're looking for a short drama to watch in your passtime, this should be at the top of your list

No end to love

We need a special episode because this drama was amazing. The concept was unique and emotional. The love story between the two main characters felt natural, sincere, and realistic. The acting was outstanding, and every actor did a great job portraying their emotions. The director presented the story beautifully, and the chemistry between the leads was excellent. The drama showed the true meaning of love, trust, and sacrifice. Every episode kept me interested, and the ending left a strong impression on me. Thank you to the cast and crew for bringing such a wonderful story to life. I highly recommend this drama to everyone.

Story line is great!I love how the ML really loved her and did everything for her. ML played his part very well!!! FL really pissed me off throughout the drama. Not once did I hear her ever said that she loved him. Even when he was about to die, for saving her she showed the bare minimum the end was so disappointed .

Uhm

Sorry but this was a waste of time. I liked it until episode 3 and then it started to get boring. I hated a lot of things. I keep thinking if they had kept the original trailer version would that have been better? Gmmtv come on I know you can do better than this. I love all the actors but with these actors you would think they could do much better acting.

Different yet Similar - in love and life

I was looking for a drama that is more realistic, away from the soul-swapping, time-travelling and webtoon genre. This drama is not really for entertainment, but rather more of reflection into our own relationships - whether romantic, brotherly, friendly or even family.

The drama took us slowly into the encounter of two artists - one a painter and the other an actress. Jinwoo had lots of past hurts which he overcame despite being deaf. He knows he can be misunderstood for being unable to communicate verbally. Moeun on the other hand has a loving family, though she kept a little scar of her past. Both of them, despite of what challenges they face as lovers tried to understand each other.

There are many parts of the drama that seem to be confusing till we figure out that they are a few days or weeks in the past. Perhaps it is the way of the writer to fill in what was missing in the previous episode. The gentleness of Jinwoo gives us the vibe of a peaceable man, a man who had accepted who he was and not live according to it. We can feel that Moeun is the first one who expressed her heart which really touched Jinwoo.

The drama gave us some conflicts but not so dramatic. Overall, it is calming and peaceful. We do not see petty arguments between Jinwoo and Moeun, that even their break-up was sort of peaceful though hurting. The people surrounding them were so sympathetic and caring, which I think all of us would need the same when we are going through certain struggles in life.

The last part seems to be the beginning, but this time, they know how to face life and love together. As you watch this drama, try to reflect on your own relationships - with parents, siblings, lovers and even friends. We may think people with disabilities are struggling, but actually those without are struggling even more. We should learn to empathize and to care with those different from us, actually there are so many similarities too.

I doubt I could enjoy this absolute nonsensical mess even after a lobotomy

Started with the novel, at first I enjoyed it due that it was very detailed to paint a world, customs of those who lived back then and hence creating a feeling of reality. However I dropped the novel around 100 chapters as was fed up with the nonsense of the 16 years old FL - who lived once - just to explain how she could collect that level of knowledge she had and the made up crisis after crisis scenes.

Still I was eagerly waiting for the series hoping that they corrected the weakness of the drama a bit. But the complete opposite, they managed to create an even more nonsensical mess. I love Bai Lu, one of my favourite Chinese actress, especially after Story of Kunning Palace where I hardly found any boring part (except the part when she said goodbye to her mother), that drama the script, the actors, the music - was super and I rewatch from time to time.
I also a huge fan of Cheng Lei since My Journey to You then because of the Shadow Love which also had some nonsensical parts but being a drama where the focus was on black magic and romance it was decent enough, especially their romance part.

But this one... I just black out from time to time, too often losing minutes and starting again, trying to watch then being "far away" again. I can't even enjoy their romance because the full story is absolutely poorly written, make-no-sense, unbelievable mess.

Is everyone insane in this script or idiot? Why the writer(s), probably AI, had to involve ghosts? They made no sense and if I want a ghost story I go for a more sophisticated one written by S. King or similar. What is the purpose of the monkeys apart from being another horrorish element?
Who is her imaginary maid, did she live or was jut an imagination? Is FL insane and should be in an alyssum together with his father, granny, etc?

Since when elderly rich, powerful nobility woman go after their opponent (following the person to who knows where afar) just to suffocate it with a pillow using physical strength? How often you saw that bad people was struck by lightning? How often you saw a ghost if you are not drunk or insane?

But let's assume you are really terrified and possessed by a ghost while others watching you, you pass out then 5 minutes later take part in the family gathering, totally composed and recovered from the shock.

and so on and so on. Not to mention the unnecessary dark symbolism like exactly 999 of who-knows-what gold flower to satisfy the (based on the number) a satanic deity or similar.

I am sorry I am fed up. Terrible series.
