Solid little vshort
This is actually pretty good for what it is. It very much is a vshort, in both production value and writing, but I felt like it put a bit more effort than usual into making the emotional beats of the central relationship actually interesting and impactful. The main character is so funny in the beginning arc, and in the final arc shows a strong, serious side, I hope to see more work from her.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

THis is not that kind of Lolita!. She is not a mistress; two wives in name only.
This is a review after watching 6 episodes, so there isn't much to conclude yet.I think Xiao Hou has a rather distinct brand when it comes to strong, fierce action scenes, and that raspy, high-toned, sexy voice that whispers love songs, drifting viewers away into a daze. He is also one of the top-performing male leads when it comes to drama. The action scenes in this series haven't been featured heavily yet, but they are well-executed.
Don't assume that because he is paired with a young actress, the romance won't be moving. Viewers can be touched by the story itself without needing excessive physical contact shown on screen. There's no need to overprotect the female lead; everyone knows what is appropriate. Even Xiao Hou himself entered the industry at the age of 19–20 and must have encountered romantic scenes back then; he knows exactly what to do and where the boundaries are.
Right now, I'm eagerly anticipating the reveal of the female lead's true identity.
Xiao Hou’s comedic expressions and gestures aren't quite sharp yet—almost there, but not quite—though he absolutely nails the sweet eyes and beautiful smile.
Aimi has such beautiful eyes, and she is incredibly talented at crying scenes.
Riley Wang has such thick, long, and beautifully curled eyelashes, just FYI I can't help talking about him.
The pacing of the story is very fast. If you don't watch closely or if you miss the dialogue, you'll easily get lost—especially regarding who the female lead is and who A Mao is. I think if they showed more of the male lead's backstory, we would understand his behavior better. I must praise the casting for the child actor; the styling makes him look just like a young Xiao Hou. From what I recall of his childhood photos, he really did look like that when he was a kid.

If you want to watch this and you can understand Japanese then this could be put in the background.
This season suffers from pacing issues. The first half of the show was spent on random gags and little to no character development and plot which dragged the overall story. We only start getting some more plpt points from tge 28th episode which is more than halfway into the show. This affected the later half of the show where the characters lacked the depth for the emotional scenes and the villians themselves came did not leave a lasting impression. The final battle was anticlimatic and the overall camerawork did not help with the jokes and gags of the show.I think this was a show with lots of potential that was unfullfilled. I like the op and the suits were well designed.

The Weight of Thirty Years
Scarecrow is more than just a k drama, it feels like an entire lifetime packed into one series. I had been looking forward to this drama for months and deliberately waited until it finished airing so I could binge-watch it. Thankfully, it did not disappoint.Since this drama is based on a true story, I don't think it's fair to judge the plot as simply "good" or "bad." These events actually happened, and countless innocent lives were affected. Instead of criticizing the story, I'd rather appreciate how the drama chose to tell it. It reminds us that real life isn't always like fiction. Not every case is solved because of a righteous protagonist, and not every person in authority chooses justice over their own interests. Sometimes the people who are supposed to protect the truth are the very ones who bury it. That harsh reality is what made this drama so impactful.
Kang Tae Joo was the character I felt the sorry for. He did everything he could to be an honest detective, yet life was never truly on his side. Some secrets are kept not because people are guilty, but because exposing them could put everyone they love in danger. Unfortunately, that was exactly the burden he had to carry. Imagine living with guilt and unanswered questions for 30 years. Thirty years of wondering if you could have done something differently. That alone was heartbreaking.
Cha Si Young, on the other hand, was one of the most complex characters in the series. One moment I hated him, and the next I found myself understanding him. He wasn't purely evil nor completely good. Whenever his father wasn't around, you could see the decent person he wanted to be. But the fear and control his father had over him pushed him into making terrible decisions as a prosecutor. His internal conflict made him one of the most interesting characters to watch.
I also have to mention Seo Ji Hye. Her portrayal of Kang Sun Nyeong in 1988 was absolutely wonderful. If you haven't watched My Perfect Stranger, I highly recommend it. I became a fan of hers after that drama, and once again she proved why she's such a talented actress.
Then there's Kang Sun Young and Lee Gi Beom. I honestly lost count of how many times I cried because of them. I won't spoil anything, but their story was one of the most heartbreaking parts of the entire drama. Even after thirty years had passed, the pain they carried never truly disappeared.
There were so many moments where I wished this drama had a Tunnel-style time travel plot. I found myself desperately wanting someone to go back in time and stop everything before it happened. Especially the Kang Min Ji case, please that case just broke me as a whole. That's how emotionally invested I became in this story.
The final two episodes were an emotional roller coaster. One moment I was crying, the next I was furious, and then suddenly I felt a sense of relief. The emotional pacing was incredible, and every revelation hit exactly when it needed to.
I'm especially grateful that Kang Tae Joo still had Seo Ji Won by his side, even after three decades without communication. When Seo Ji Won said, "After 30 years, am I supposed to lose you again?" I completely broke down. That single line carried the weight of everything they had endured. It honestly felt like I had lived those thirty years with them, carrying the same guilt, longing, and hope.
What impressed me most was that this drama wasn't just about finding a serial killer. It was about the failures of the justice system, corruption, abuse of power, and the painful reality that justice isn't always served when the people at the top care more about protecting themselves than protecting the truth. That message stayed with me long after I finished the final episode. This is easily one of the best k dramas I've watched this year. The performances were perfect, the characters felt incredibly human, the cinematography was beautiful, and every emotional scene landed perfectly. More importantly, it never relied on cheap twists or unnecessary drama. It trusted its story, its characters, and the audience and that confidence paid off. Even after the credits rolled, I found myself thinking about the characters and the real people behind this story. That's when you know a drama has truly left its mark.

Well produced procedural drama not skimping on BL
It mostly feels like a budget procedural drama but I am glad that they didn’t bromance this but actually put in the BL elements naturally. The MLs have good chemistry and are handsome especially the Prosecutor. So far this Korean BL is outperforming those coming out of Korea this year. I am looking forward to how their relationship develops and the truth behind the killing that brought them together; hopefully it will cement their relationship in the end!

feelings

This show was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and I completely loved it! I went from having full-on laughing fits and giggling with a goofy smile on my face to crying a river. It’s a silly, chaotic, and intentionally over-the-top rom-com that perfectly balances its wild moments with more vulnerable ones that totally won me over. The charm of the show is hands down Duang. How can anyone resist his impulsive, optimistic, naive, and vibrant energy? I love when he says he’s going to win Qin’s heart and that he’s not asking for permission, just letting him know. But while Duang is an open book and completely transparent about his feelings, Qin is the exact opposite. Seemingly cold and emotionally guarded, he slowly gives in to Duang’s chaotic, over-the-top, yet incredibly tender charm.
Qin was actually the character that surprised me the most. He’s complex, and the show gradually reveals the reasons behind his reserved nature and emotional distance. The nanny scene had me sobbing. Huge props to the young actor who played child Qin, because that was a really difficult, heavy scene.
TeeTee and Por have perfect chemistry, it feels so natural and they delivered all the emotional weight their characters demanded. Casting Yim as Duang’s older brother was a stroke of genius. Loved it! The entire cast gave solid performances, with North being a major standout. Plus, the OST is just as sweet and vibrant as the show itself. Duang with You has definitely made it onto my comfort show list.

Such an unexpected watch it caught me off guard!
I didn't expect to enjoy this drama as much as I did. It turned out to be such an unexpected watch, and I'm really glad I gave it a chance. The story was very engaging from beginning to end. It felt realistic, especially in the way it showed how one accident could completely change the lives of so many people. The drama didn't try to make everything perfect or easy, and that made the emotions feel even more real. I found myself caring about every character and wanting to know what would happen next.
The chemistry between the two leads was beautiful. Their relationship developed naturally, and they supported each other through difficult times. Their emotional scenes were touching, and they made it easy to root for them.
I also liked the difference between the two sisters. One of them did everything in their power to make her daughter stand firmly against the tragedy, even pushing herself to the limits of her own body just so she could motivate her daughter to smile again and the other controlled every single aspect of her daughter's life so she could fill the absence of her son, both really loving their children in such different ways that it was quite engaging to watch. Both dealing with their pain however they could.
One thing I liked was that the characters weren't simply good or bad. Even the ex-husband was someone I couldn't completely blame. If something like this happened in real life, we have to remember that we are only human. We can't always control our feelings. Only a few people could truly stay by the side of someone they love after seeing them become so broken and so different from who they used to be. I could understand why he struggled, even if I didn't agree with every choice he made.
The only part I didn't like was the cheating. I honestly think it was unnecessary because the accident itself was already heartbreaking enough. The story didn't need that extra drama to make us understand the pain and the difficulties everyone was going through.
Overall, this drama surprised me in the best way. It told an emotional and realistic story with strong performances, great chemistry between the leads, and characters who felt like real people. It reminded me that people deal with loss, guilt, and change in very different ways. It's definitely a drama that will stay with me for a long time.
Would I watch this again? No.
Did I enjoy it? Yes.

Lagi nyoba langganan Catchplay+, dan karena gw orangnya suka horror, begitu ngeliat page nya film nya langsung coba tonton ae ya kan. dan ternyata... hm..Apa ya? kayaknya sutradara or scriptwriternya terinspirasi dari Gonjiam? Banyak aspek yang mirip.

Finally over!
OMG, after the bad shows started in April, May did not make it that much better, as this series proved. I don't get why actors choose such a show, maybe because they do need to stay relevant and better doing a crap show than no show at all. It's not that they don't have fan-meetings, concerts or other things which holds them in the spotlight. Maybe bad publicity is still good publicity. We have the typical gay family with all three sons being gay, two more infantile then the other and almost everything is cringe. Because it ended as it did, I expect a special, because two of the boys did not get "married" in the series and the slutty friend of Moo-Moo didn't progress either. At least that part of the story made sense, that just wanting to have sex does not make a relationship.
The production quality was top notch but the script was lame, the over the top comedy did not help either. 2x speed is your friend or even +10s helps a lot to go through that. Nobody can't deny Boss & Noels chemistry, but if you watch Paypack you know that Boss can act much better. I'm sure for the cast it was fun but watching it was not for me. Interesting is that this series and "A Dog and a Plane" have the same premise of one of the main-chars, a nerdy guy who was more or less rejected by their love-interest in highschool. So, it's always the same story repeated endlessly without any fresh takes.
This was the first series not under the "MAME" umbrella for our MLs and I have to say, I did not expect it to be even worse. MAME scripts have their problems, but at least the backstory is decent. This was just a clusterfuck without an end for three of the four couples. If you make everyone gay, then please make sure everyone gets his partner in the end. Overall a waste of money to produce this crap and a waste of time watching it.
