This is really a good drama.Trust me!
I think a good drama means where you never feel bored. The 12 eps kept me curious even though it was slightly predictable. But i felt connected thru the all 12 eps. And wi ha joon had my all attention!! He was so charming and hot😭!! The way everyone is hating over park min young.. i dont get the point cz her character was like that. And i slightly agree with the fact tht, the ML and FL's chemistry was off in some point.Park min young seemed a little far away from wi ha joon. But from his side, the thing was so visible and fascinating!In my pov, the drama is so good and worth watching. Why ppl are overjudging and overreacting in Everything😭 Just go with flow and the dramaa!!

THE VISUALS ARE INSANE
This is genuinely one of the best blends of romance, wuxia, and fantasy I’ve seen in a long time. Everything just hits. From the romance to the fight sequences, to the quiet secrets hidden in the shadows, every element is executed beautifully.And the costumes?? Hello?? The visuals look insanely rich, every tiny detail feels intentional and luxurious. The styling doesn’t just look good, it adds depth to each character and their journey.
The cinematography, acting, music, and locations are all just… perfect. The camera work especially stands out, it captures emotions so delicately in the softer moments, and then shifts seamlessly into intense, gripping sequences during the action scenes. The background score elevates everything; it lingers with you even after the episode ends.
As for Veil of Shadows, the storytelling is what truly pulls you in. The pacing is steady, never dragging, and the plot keeps unfolding in layers, every episode reveals something new, making it impossible to stop watching. The tension, the hidden identities, the emotional conflicts… everything feels so well-balanced.
It’s been a while since a drama felt like a solid 10/10 for me, but this one truly deserves it. No bias, this one earned that spot.
And the romance? So satisfying. It’s not rushed, it’s built with tension, longing, and depth, which makes every moment feel worth it.
I’m 15 episodes in, and I just hope it continues this way, and that the director gives every character the ending they truly deserve. 🤍

Had to watch it for Liu Tao ;)
I finally got the chance to watch this show on YouTube after searching for it for a long time. I only watched episode 22 onward just to see Liu Tao's part, but I don't think I missed much. Liu Tao played a Burmese princess named Mu Sha in the drama. I think it was one of the first few dramas of hers where she had significant screen time and deservedly so. The Burmese portrayal in the show was somewhat stereotypical, but it was better than I initially expected. The acting from the entire cast was also quite good. Liu Tao was so convincing in her character as a warrior princess, and I loved the character so much!

- Passionnées ;
- Chargées émotionnellement ;
- L’intensité dramatique ;
- La tension narrative ;
- Une des plus belles réconciliations du genre ;
- Une relation profondément marquante ;

Good
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"Esta resenha foi útil para você?

This is a story that straddles the line of a sweet slice-of-life story about our heroine and the man she rescues from the snow with a simple setting that focuses on breathing life into the characters who are the heart of the story, and the world around them that turns into a rather fable-like, whimsical and emotional tale of war and humanity. This is a careful balance that requires some suspension of disbelieve to work but is for the most part enjoyable to watch.Despite everything is a lot of sincerity within this story that at first, as it starts of small because that reflects how our heroine Fan Changyu sees the world and how her life is at that point of the story and when the story manages to be earnest, simple and focused on the main characters while fleshing slowly out the story then it is at it’s strongest.
The narrative does manage to frame the character’s worldview and life very neatly and the smooth rhythm of the story and the comfortable pace it had early on allowed us to adapt to the world and get used to the own inner logic of it all, that makes this into a fanciful fable-like story and a very old school hero’s journey. Many of the characters we meet along the way are colorful and larger-then-life, but also very down-to-earth and real, and despite how unrealistic the story sometimes gets. But that is also what makes it fun, if people allow themselves to suspend their disbelieve.
Fan Changyu is a hero after my heart. Kind-hearted, with inner and outer strength that draws people in, stubborn without it seeming too unrealistic. She never comes across as monotone female character who is only strong for the sake of being strong, but is allowed to experience fear, make mistakes in a way that makes her story feel real and deserved. The character though does fall into the trap of the more old-school classic hero in a fable that gets too good at everything too quickly just for the sake of the plot, making parts of her journey feel unearned, while Xie Zheng fades too far into the background in favor of her, or other background characters, in the later half of the drama.
The deliberately slow-moving, sincere love story between our main characters, which is full of longing silences and yearnfully glances works wonders for large parts of the story, and whether our main couple is separated or together the story doesn’t really suffer from the absence of one or the other.
The romance is however put on the backburner for the sake of the hero’s journey that Changyu must go on, and as the narrative shifts from telling that slow-burn romance into something more politically heavy and shifting allegiances. That shift feels sudden and a tad bit grating for those who got rightfully heavily invested in the romance that the story promised and set up early on, and that shift does change the story a bit too drastically.
*spoiler* For my part the shift in thinking of Changyu, as she does things for the other people in her live and not just her husband, felt quite well earned within the narrative and I like the fact that he isn’t her whole world and her motives are also for her and her people, and not just so she can stand tall next to her husband. Because this feels like a story about her. Her hero’s journey. But I do understand why that deviation from the original novel wasn’t for everyone. *spoiler*
The drama deals quite well with its themes of humanity and the inherent value of a single life, and the sacrifices of ordinary people for the sake of the simple life they want to lead and to feel at peace. And it does all of that while delivering some soapy political intrigue, fun battle sequences and fun twists.
There are subtle references to class issues that are woven into the narrative through clothing, the characters’ attitudes towards money and how they see the world, as well as the reality of the harshness of everyday people and the willfully ignorant aristocracy who can play war because of their own greed.
There is an odd balance between the silly, adventurous and yet sincere tone all through the forty episodes that the drama spans. No matter how funny, heartbreaking or even sorrowful the events of the plot may be there is always a certain earnestness and warmth that shines through. A certain emotional essence that the story never loses.
Despite the even, and intentionally slow pace that allows itself to stop for a moment to allow us to spend quality time with the characters and the relationships they develop, the drama never gets boring. There’s always something going on, and the side stories are well handled and come at the right moments to enrich rather than interrupt the main story. And each of these side-plots within the narrative eventually ties back into the main story in some meaningful way.
Both Fan Changyu and Xie Zheng are on a long journey in this drama. They grow even if the story takes them in different directions, which then does lead them to the same place at the end. And despite the stumbles on that road now and again the drama still manages to deliver plenty of charm, heart, and entertainment value —especially if you’re willing to suspend some disbelief too embrace the soapier twists, badly written court politics and the occasional oddities of the plot that is in a rush to get to the end.

Dark character, painful story, bittersweet revenge, beautiful production
This drama is incredible. As mystery (east asian) drama lover, I have never watched drama like how TDR approach. This drama is so detail to modus of crime that using vulnerable side of human psychology/behaviour.I cried on last eps because of whale story. I feel a relieved after (22eps) suspenseful journey.
Thank you writer-director (our amazing woman director), Wu Kang Ren, Sun Li, all casts, & all crews for this dark yet educative drama!
I wish I can watch more cdrama with mature & excellent quality like this (or The Long Night, The Bad Kids, The Devil between Us & The Long Season).
With this level, thriller cdrama can compete powerfully with the mystery genre of kdrama.

Cannot finish
Boring had to drop and watch pursuit of Jade 3rd time . I’m especially disappointed because Joseph Zeng is one of my absolute favourites. He has such strong screen presence and undeniable talent, yet this storyline doesn’t give him the opportunity to truly shine. It feels like his potential is being underutilised, almost wasted on a plot that lacks depth and cohesion.Honestly, he deserves a far better-written role something with substance, strong character development, and a storyline that actually matches his level as an actor.

LOVE YOU TEACHER IS NOT A BL SERIES IT'SA MASTERPIECE
From the very first episode, this series feels like the show of the year! Perth and Santa's acting is simply top-notch, and the directing is also amazing: the visuals, color correction, and dialogue are stunning! I experienced so many emotions during the first episode; I cried several times, laughed countless times. It's been a long time since the industry has seen such a well-crafted, vibrant, and heartwarming series, one that makes you believe in the characters' true and powerful love and affection!I want to say something. A huge problem with many romantic series is that the director and actors are rarely able to convey the true affection and love of the characters. For example, you're watching a series, two characters do crazy things for each other because they "love" each other, and you (the viewer) sit and don't understand where this "enormous" love came from; it's not fully explored! In this series, from the very first episode, the characters' CRAZY affection and love for each other is clear, along with the fear of losing each other, the fear of not being there. They managed to show in the first episode what many can't do throughout the entire series. Moreover, the theme of the series is SERIOUS! Yes, there is comedy, but the psychological theme itself is very significant here! Superficial viewers won't immediately see and understand it; some need a lot explained and put into their mouths, but here everything is crystal clear: Pobmek's character has been deeply traumatized since childhood by his own mother, and Solar is the only one who understands him, accepts him, and loves him without any "buts." And then Solar suddenly suffers psychological trauma (beware, this isn't something a basic doctor, not a psychiatrist, would notice). Pobmek is panicking, he's scared, and Perth really captured this fear of "losing" him. There's so much here... I'm really curious what awaits us next!
I hope this series becomes incredibly popular!

Frustrating Watch
It can be intresting to show a story about how bad communication can affect relationships. Yet, this is not that. The "conflict" was talked about in the beginning, yet they still managed to drag it throughout the whole series. Then, the nonsensical full 180° where the guy goes from adamantly rejecting to literally chasing. Regardless, at the end of the day, it is supposed to be a romance show. However, you don't find yourself rooting for the couple. How can you when they are miserable with each other for 90% of the show.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

One mess of a show!
Genuinely is one of the most chaotic shows I have ever seen in a long time. The plot does leave a lot of personal interpretation to see how you would view the whole point of view of the characters but even then, it really does only make you end with quite eerie and gut-wrenching feelings.Jun Seo and Jae Oh are both characters that are depicted to be taking very different perspectives on how they view Baek Ah Jin. Neither of them really shows any logical reasoning on how they went about dealing with the many complex situations and the latter's death was pretty uncalled for in my opinion, considering that a realisation for him would make the most sense to really complete his journey. The decision on taking down Baek Ah Jin from Jun Seo just was unwanted cause of how long it took for him to realize the case, and the attempted suicide just was anticlimactic.
Not gonna lie, the acting of the cast was phenomenal. It really showed the depth and conviction of every character and was truly a hooking performance. Definitely just a one-time watch though.

RECOMMEND!!!
It was a pretty good watch. I feel like thrillers never miss so it’s not too surprising that it’s good.the actors thought they all killed it except for two who were a little off. yall girly fans are gonna be fooming at the mouth as I say this but kim jung hyun needs to stay in comedy or maybe work on it better, because in that one scene when he was telling her he was lee su ho he kept freezin up a little like idk.and also han joon woo I feel like the character he played was supposed to be killing and not caring while also being a little psycho, but his expressions were giving kinda scared and skeptical.
It was my first time seeing the actor kim dong jun and I feel like he embodied the psycho act perfectly honestly he should have been the main villain aka playing (do eun hyuk).
