how to move on
i just finished this. I’m still in a daze. i refused to watch it for a long time. no idea why. i just don’t have words on how good this was. this will be forever the best BL drama! the acting…! the ml both were amazing. i first thought dean was a bit wooden but that was just the character he played. as it got deeper into the story, you could see his true acting skill. his partner…omg his eyes! nothing in the BL universe will ever compare to those eyes! every emotion was mirrored in them. the storyline was heartbreaking to say the least. the music was on my last nerve. especially that bar piano climpering as background for the ml. nothing romantic about that.I’m trying to find words how deep this show actually is and how it impressed me. i don’t think there is a way to express that.
it broke my heart knowing that this is probably reality for many couples. it shouldn’t be this way. it really shouldn’t!

Comfort Winter Watch!!
What a perfect cozy winter watch. I really enjoyed the snowboarding aspect of the show, I think it was done well. The comic side was a little hard to believe, but fun. The main couple was very wholesome and I really enjoyed them. Lin Yi was such a charming love interest, he had such a gentle tender personality. Esther Yu was so cute, and it felt natural. I will say, some of the episodes DRAGGEDDDDD. The best moments were in the snow. Shoutout to the enjoyable side characters as well. I am glad they did not force everyone to be in relationships. I hope to watch more stuff with Lin Yi in it. (I am already an Esther Yu fan)Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Peak bromance
This was a great action drama that manages to hit just the right spot between heart-warming, funny, and dark.I absolutely adore the ML and his kind-heartedness and care for his mother; the friendship between the two leads really is the heart of the show and it was such a great display of healthy masculinity.
On the thriller side, I'm also really impressed with the show's willingness to kill people off and just be utterly brutal. It makes the stakes feel much higher. On thing that does hamper the plot a bit is the disappearance of Hyun-ju's character, who was such a vital part of the first half it felt weird to not have her in the second half at all. I understand that this was a side effect of the situation in real life though, but it feels — especially in hindsight — such a shame to not have that throughline in the plot.
Other than that, a great drama with great action seasons. Looking forward to season 2 later this year.

Oh the tears!
Grab your tissue for this one. I liked it. As first when I saw the trailer I was skeptical and thought that its weird watching an old lady and a younger guy.I am glad I watched it. nothing was weird. I liked their dynamics and also the plots like who would that thought she wasnt actually human but emotions???.
They are so devoted to each other and I like that.

A cute BL rom-com with a pinch of the supernatural
Head 2 Head is a cute, cozy BL rom-com with a pinch of the supernatural that keeps things fun. There are two couples sharing the spotlight almost evenly, and both bring something different to the table.Jinn and Jerome deliver a classic rivals-to-lovers energy, full of witty banter and playful tension. Their chemistry is warm and genuinely sweet. I honestly did not expect that much kissing and intimacy, but it’s handled in a healthy, respectful way that suits the young leads. The supernatural aspect with the Jerome being able to see the future and trying to prevent bad things from happening is what adds depth to the romance between him and Jinn.
Van and Farm’s pairing leans into more complex emotional territory. Their story has no supernatural elements and instead relies on heavier internal conflicts, producing a few intense, well-played scenes. I personally really felt for Van when he finally cried in the scene with the cigarette on the balcony after the fallout was also pretty good. You really do get all the feels too with Farm’s anger. Their intimacy is just a dash spicier. I think the actors match that level better.
Both of these pairings are new to me, but they spark good chemistry. The acting was natural. It could use polish in places, but the performers show real promise and charm. I also have seen actors with a lot more industry experience acting worse. I am positive that these new actors are all working on their skills as they prepare for the next project.
If you want a college-set BL that focuses on romance, Head 2 Head doesn’t waste time. It devotes about 90% of its attention to the relationships and keeps the supporting cast lean so the love stories stay front and center.
The writing—especially the dialogue and jokes—is a highlight. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and clever exchanges that make the show highly rewatchable.
Bottom line: If you want straightforward, feel-good romance without toxic baggage and without overthinking, Head 2 Head is a great pick.

A must watch series
Was kinda hesitating to watch this series at first and I'm glad that I got to watch this masterpiece. As someone who's a fan of angsty dramas this is a 10/10. I really love the emotional depth of the characters as well as their chemistry. It made me fall in love with the two of them. This is also the drama that made me watch The Princess Royal. So far, this series has been added to my comfort series. The ending might be rush but this is definitely worth to watch.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Yowza, spicy drama but a lot of family mess
This drama made it to my watchlist when it was released but I kept forgetting to watch it until it appeared on IQIYI. I decided to watch it few days ago and I must say what a wacky drama. What I liked:
1. Styling - Zhang Yu Tian was gorgeous and the outfits she wore were fantastic. I loved the red dress she wore at the start. Her black and white dress also matched with Zhang Bei Xi's outfits. He got great clothes too.
2. Romance - Steamy with gazillion kisses. They were hot for each other. That shower scene yowza!
3. Acting - I enjoyed performances by both leads and Wen Zhi Cheng. Combustible chemistry between Zhang Yu Tian and Zhang Bei Xi. Damn, I wonder what Lin Rui Xue thought of this drama. Anyway I think there is implicit trust between ZYT & ZBX since this isn't their first collaboration.
4. Supporting characters - I liked ML's assistant for his loyalty. FL's friend was good too.
5. FL characterisation - I liked that she didn't give a rat's ass about wealth especially during the search for long-lost heiress. I loved that she called the police for the donation fraud.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - Too many baddies including family members. FL's family was horrible for abandoning FL after DNA test while ML's family was controlling. Xiao Xiao was insecure woman always jealous of FL. Jin Ming Yue was possessive.
2. Third arc - The split personality arc was introduced in the last 12 episodes. I wished it was introduced in second arc to give some breather.
Favourite scene
Shower scene and morning after

The legends are true, even the sad ones.
Like a folktale passed down through memory, Moon Warriors is lush, lyrical and ever so slightly untethered from reality. Steeped in the traditions of its genre, it's tragic, yearning and tinged with inevitability, all the while drenched in natural beauty: misty coastlines, windswept forests and moonlit waters that give the film an almost ethereal quality. The craftsmanship is New Wave at its finest, and director Sammo Hung delivers a wonderfully subdued swordswinging adventure, gifting us two of the greatest choreographers ever combining their talents in a film that blends wuxia fantasy, budding romance and aggressively high-flying acrobatics, not to mention an Andy Lau / orca bromance. Sammo beat Warner Brothers to the punch on that fad. The undercranked camerawork really adds an element of dynamism and furious pace to the incredibly choreographed action, mixing wire-fu swordplay and traditional kung fu with a flawless ability; the final duel on the beach is the standout for me. The cast only adds to the film's mesmerising allure; Lau is always a joy to watch, bringing with him a quiet sincerity to his role as our humble, lovestruck hero, and the chemistry he shares with Anita Mui's princess is an absolute treat to watch onscreen all the while Maggie Cheung, in one of her most offbeat roles, gets to stretch her villainous chops as a betrayer who has a thing for the emperor. It might be one of the few times I've ever seen her not smile. Coupled with an utterly joyous musical score and lightning pacing, despite a few bizarre moments that verge on daft, Moon Warriors is an absolute delight. Filled with atmosphere, beauty and a poetic resonance that lingers long after the credits roll while expertly immersing you in feelings of longing, fleeting connections, and lives shaped by forces beyond control. And like the tide it so often frames, it's the sadness that never quite recedes.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

A good main story, but...
I just finished it and... I... am... confusion. Not really by the finale, although I was sad but in the end, I do get it.But I feel like so many plot points were approched and then completely ignored?
First of all, the sub teachers relationship. Genuinely thought these two were together from the beginning until it was made clear they weren't. I was kind of flabbergasted by that tbh. I had no reason to think they weren't. Pretty sure Benny was introduced as a "partner" but maybe it was a mistranslation on the team's part.
My second point is the dad proposing to the mom. We see it happening and then we never hear about it ever again? No scene where the parents tell the kids? No mention of planning a wedding in the future? Literally nothing at all. What was the goal of showing this scene? I still have no idea.
Third thing is the robber in the dorm. Was this point brought up just to give the MLs an opportunity to sleep in the same bed? Again. It happens, and we never hear about it ever again. Parents weren't made aware? Was the robber caught? Why didn't the MLs tell the dorm supervisor the robber probably escaped from their room? Even if they weren't sure, I feel like it's something you should definitely tell to someone. Why was the whole thing brushed off like it's somewhat of a normal occurrence?
My last but most important point in my opinion.. what the F*CK is going on with the kid that got Sheng Wang BEAT UP??????? AND WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE ENGLISH TEACHER? Why was this mf still in that school after all that? Why wasn't the police called each time? Why was the whole thing with the english teacher completely brushed off like it was nothing? Also, can we talk about how this entire scene literally popped out of nowhere? The entire episode was about the sport competition and then, with no warning at all, this? And then back to the competition? And the sub teacher getting jealous of the other sub teacher taking care of the english teacher that was just kidnapped, tied up and threatened of the most vile fucking things????? And bro is like "oh maybe I should let them have their moment, let me eat some scones in the teacher's room in the meantime because I'm upsetti spaghetti lol", instead of... I don't know, tell the damn HEADTEACHER AND CALL THE DAMN POLICE?
Oh, and the stupid-*ss bet with the headteacher, I was floored. English is not my first language so when I read "streaking", I thought I was misunderstanding and it meant something other than what typical streaking means. I even looked up the translation of the word on wordreference, linguee AND urban dictionary because I couldn't believe it. Who the actual HELL DOES A STREAKING BET WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS? ON SCHOOL GROUNDS? WHO THE F*CK WANTS TO SEE THEIR HEADTEACHER'S NAKED *SS? HOW WAS THIS ALLOWED? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS SCHOOL DUDE 😭
Anyway, if not for all that, I would've loved this story. I am sad there won't be a season 2 apparently? The finale was giving season 2 and I thought (hoped) this would've given more context and answers to all those plot points that went nowhere. I will say, though, the f*cked up kid would've been a goner after the first thing for me. You just don't do that and get punished with "lol no podium for you then". Also, absolutely hate this dumb*ss ranking system in the school. Best way to make kids feel sh*t about themselves. Sounds completely unnecessary and easily avoidable to me.
The casting was excellent. This is why I give this show a higher rating despite my grudge with how the story was executed.
Do I recommend it? I don't know. In a way I do because the main plot was interesting and the MLs chemistry was really good. I love a good story about the struggles of teenagehood and how to balance love, friendship, difficult family dynamics, school, self-doubt and the pressure to fit in in a healthy manner... You know, this awkward and confusing time in your life where you're not a child anymore but you're not an adult yet either. I've been there too. I think we all have, and some of us still are.
But I have a really hard time getting over how those subplots were handled. I can't take the story fully seriously because of it and it did leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth in the end. It feels like a good plot with an interesting (but not new) dynamic between two MLs was wasted with cheap execution all throughout. Because of that, I can't positively say it's a must-watch, at least for me.

Another amazing instalment in the Train to Busan franchise.
Another amazing instalment in the Train to Busan franchise. Despite being part of the franchise, this movie stands on its own and can be watched independently. I loved seeing the growth the main male character goes through, from drowning in his grief to being a hero. I loved the heist storyline and found it very different from any other zombie movie I've seen.

A Tarnished Love Story
This is a difficult watch for much of its first half. Even with a second chance at life, the gifted but emotionally stunted female lead remains drawn to the scheming love rival, who consistently prioritizes his family and politics over her. He allows her to die slowly from poisoning and frames the male lead, her husband, so she will have him killed. In contrast, the devoted but estranged ML still loves her, even as he dies knowing she ordered his murder.FL has a bad case of “princess syndrome,” and believability and mutual respect are sacrificed for added drama. The heavy focus on the love rival further weakens the central couple’s relationship. A couple of standout romantic tracks also lose impact through overuse in scenes between FL and the rival. The dark core of the story clashes with humor that does not always land, though it does provide some relief from the relentless scheming and rivalry angst.
The romance feels heavily tarnished, with the central relationship undermined by uncomfortable cuckold and simp dynamics and a love triangle that drags well past exhaustion. It persists into the finale where a third of the episode is spent on an overindulgent end sequence for the rival. Meanwhile, the main couple is left with a brief, perfunctory, and ultimately unsatisfying happy ending. FL appears to settle for ML, the man her dubiously rational mind believes she is supposed to end up with. Yet her attachment to the rival, who betrayed her in both lifetimes and moments earlier tried to kill her husband, is so strong that she has to be physically restrained from throwing herself into a fire to save him, risking both her own life and that of her unborn child.
If toxic female fantasies and pure palace drama are your thing, dive in. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

The best movie I've ever seen
I have seen my fair share (way more than my fair share, to be completely honest) of zombie movies, but Train to Busan stands in its own category. This movie isn't just a horror/zombie film; it's a movie about survival, fear, bravery, family, and love. I cried like a baby during this movie, and every time I've rewatched it, despite knowing what happens.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Irritating characters, boring plot
I wanted to watch this because of Kim Hye-Yoon and a few scenes I saw on tiktok but all the characters were terribly infuriating and the storyline was so dull. Both leads came off as immature and honestly Lomon’s character continuously annoyed me because he just would not accept the consequences of his actions. I came here to read the reviews to see if it was worth finishing because I was on episode 4 waiting for things to get better but unfortunately it does not sound like it will. Dropped the show.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
