Disappointing Cringefest with Zero Sensitivity and Respect for Sentient Beings

Waited for this to finish uploading before tucking into it. Like Doctor Cha, it was uberly disappointing. Unlike Doctor Cha, it wasn't even good enough for me to consider adding to my "treadmill list", which are a list of shows ok enough to watch only while I'm on the treadmill but not really to capture my utmost attention and emotional investment.

Main reasons were:-
1) For Asian shows that deal with animals, the first thing I'd prefer is "No Animals were Harmed" precautions. If the 'Secret Royal Inspector and Joy' series were able to achieve this—and their story did not revolve around animals— why couldn't 'Behind Your Touch'? Especially since animals are such a pivotal theme to BYT.
2) The plot was so cringey and paper thin nonsense. Woman keeps going around holding onto a moving being's butt to "read" them is not quality writing. I've read better stories from 9 year olds.
3) The male and female behaviours were WTF. Having a man Judo-flip a woman onto a bitumen road floor isn't cool. The same kind of uncool with getting flipped off a treadmill in 'King the Land'. Neither was remotely quality slapstick comedy. Plus the "romance" between the policeman and her aunt was cringefest to the max.
4) The characterisation of the protagonist was unrealistic. Vet Sci is a hardcore course in any country to get into yet the FL is an emotionally underdeveloped idiot who doesn't have seem to have any instincts or confidence around handling animals.

But, ultimately, the main reason I decided to drop this disaster was the treatment of gender violence. Having the FL find out that her ex coursemate might have abducted a woman whom he is abusing is one thing. To have it glossed over and ignored by fluffing the rest of the minutes up with comedic routines was incredibly tone deaf. If writers are going to show gender violence have some backbone to treat it with the care and sensitivity it deserves. The portrayal of it as just a plot device to fill in the time, without any context or follow-up, seemed an extremely lazy and cheap writing serving only to titillate for views. Pathetic. Are we supposed to laugh at the carrying-ons of the ML and co at the farmyard and completely ignore the horrid images of the poor abused woman whom have been seared into our memories? Go f#ck yourselves, male Sth Korean studio execs.

Have some respect for crime victims. Have some respect for animals. And, especially, have some respect for discerning viewers.

Don't waste your time on this BS. Unrealistic portrayal of a vet. Stupid approach to animal whispering and brain dead characters all around. Only stars were the animals but since there's no way to know if they'd been treated well at all during the filming of these series it's especially not worth supporting a show that could have been unnecessarily harmful to animals.

Even as a standalone, without the original, it wouldn't be impressive.

Well. Not the best drama out there I'd say. At first it was quite fresh. Different. I liked the female character.
But then the show lost its essence. I don't know if it's the actor or the character of the plot itself, the delivery of dialogues become progressively more "annoying".
"Annoying" is a word I only use for Chinese female leads. So when I say that here, it's...a little disappointing. On Korean standards.

Characters: (contains minor spoilers)
The Male lead honestly did not have a personality. I mean I get the show isn't exactly male lead centred but c'mon. I believe Ong Seong Wu has great acting potential. He was able to play the puppy boy role here. Given his skills in "More Than Friends", I belive he can pull off both Cold and Warm personalities. But that oppertunity wasn't given to him.

Lee You Mi's acting is supposed to be good too. She is the same girl who played her roles in All of us are dead and Squid Game. And she did well. Ofcourse. I wouldn't know how well she is suited for romance ones because i haven't seen her do it properly before. Excluding this show. This show doens't really draw up the full potential of the actors.

Kim Jeung Un was awesome. She played Gang Namsoon's mother. She is super hot and powerful (obviously). But then there is also this cuteness about her. The way she melts when it's her daughter. It's cute. I loved her character.

Byeong Woo Speak who plays the bad guy, Si-on, is the freakin MAN. He is the hottest character on even YouTube and is currently being shipped with the Female lead and I am NOT complaining. He is good at acting. And he is hot. Yeah. He has acted in 20th century girl. The film. Check it out.

The secondary characters were pretty good too.

Plot:
The plot itself makes sense. It's not bad. It's just how the male and female characters were written. The female character lacks depth. And the only excuse for that is the fact that she is from Mongolia. If I hear that one more time I'll-

Overall : i haven't watched the last two episodes yet. They are supposed to release today and tomorrow. Based on the 14 episodes I have seen, it hasn't been able to even catch up to the original. And even as a standalone, it wouldn't have done great.

I'll come back and fill everyone in on the last two episodes.

Edit:
I finished the drama. I'll say mid. It's not great. They are eyeing a third season. I hope they add some spice to the series. We will also have a mystery main character coming in next season. I hope it goes well. Seriously.

There is room for improvement, a lot of it and I really hope they work on that. I wasn't very happy with this series and kinda disappointed ? Do bong soon was great but this one was just BAD.

So Bad It's Funny

**Brief Synopsis**
B (Butler)
T (Owner's Son)

B was just a normal vegetable seller until his friends asks him to become a butler as a favour. There he meets T, the owner's son, and although they don't exactly start off on the right foot, they eventually fall in love.

**My Opinion**

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT
- The premise of the story was interested even though it was badly executed.
- The actors were very good looking and looked great together.

WHAT I DIDNT LIKE ABOUT IT
- The writing is sometimes horrible and the acting unbeareable as people would act in weird and exaggerated ways. The main characters are better comparatively but aren't winning any awards.
- I have love hate relationship with the voice over. They voice over what the characters are thinking. This is done in a voice not belonging to the characters so it might get confusing. Sometimes the voiceover is very funny, other times it just gets cringey.
- They keep saying hmm a lot.
- Editing and weird sound effects adds to the cringe.
- Nothing seems to happen and whatever happens is just not convincing. There was kidnapping scene but it just looks like a joke.

**Conclusion**
This is so bad it can get a little funny. I laughed a little so I'm not all that dissapointed.

A really great picture from Taiwan. But there we got used not only to the quantity, but also to the quality. I was impressed by the processing and the music. Likeable actors probably reached the bottom of their strength, because there were quite a lot of kissing and semi-nude scenes for such a short footage, and if the actors are straight, they had to properly grit their teeth. I appreciate it and put it in the group of shorts that I want to watch again in the future.

Zaujalo mě zpracování i hudba.

Even though it is a Korean project, the creators also used two Thais - the stars of the SaifahZon series, and I acknowledge this international cooperation. Yoon and Peach have feelings for each other, but in my opinion it wasn't really the main and supporting plot axis of the whole story, because there is an effort to find out how what happened to Yoon actually happened. Therefore, the relationship between the two main actors may not sound so strong, because above all the character played by Jimmy is written as it is. I also admire how the actors managed the language barrier and I would also like to highlight the well-played character of the "mother".

Wanted to love it, a bit disappointed

Disclaimer: I watched this as a pick me up on a shitty day, feeling very much meh, so it could be a factor in my less effusive appreciation.

As others have said, this movie deals with dark, heavy themes (bullying, sexual assault, violence, and rape) so watch at your own risk! Also worth to note the autistic portrayal (story wise) may be upsetting so take that into consideration as well.

I watched this for Jin Young (and the whump, fine), and the acting, generally speaking, is consistent throughout, as I've come to expect broadly speaking from Korean productions. I couldn't help but compare the Joo Wol Woo portrayal to Moon Sang Tae from It's Okay Not To Be Okay which I felt was more artfully done, but to be fair it was a series, not a movie, so the range, depth, and exposure was longer.

The themes are nothing new from other dramas and movies exploring violence, bullying, and systemic violence, definitely heavy handed in an "everybody swears all the time" kind of way (on top of all the other dark shit). The cinematography echoes that dark grittiness but it's not mind-blowing good (but it was an indie budget wasn't it?).

I was a bit let down by the story... immersion? It wasn't very clear of the boys' relationships from the start, where they knew each other from, I got confused in terms of places and who went where, when. Maybe that was more the subtitles, I'll never know. I did see a twist coming, which is good (the crumbs they give do lead to the right road), and the ending works for the story they've told.

This micro-series, in some moments and with a touch of light comedy (especially in the beginning), was certainly not made to conquer the world of film and series, but for the pleasure of the spirit and the eye of some viewers, and I appreciate that. Sure, even this Pinoy product has some flaws, but they are not important to me to overpower the story and what the poet wanted to say. Overall, the plot actually had potential that was not developed further and the cliffhanger ending was very surprising(!). The acting was pretty solid, especially Jill (Mateo Velasco) I quite believed, nice main song, processing with some minor details, cute shots of washing the car or in the shower. Stuff I skip that doesn't affect my rating: vegan brownies but with eggs (?), episode five is all about how Jill feels (?), some editing could be improved. Overall impression, if you are a positive soul and not a negativist: a pleasant and refreshing peek with a slightly "shocking" ending.

Celkový dojem, pokud jste duše pozitivní a ne negativistická: příjemné a osvěžující pokoukání s mírně "šokujícím" koncem.

I watched this pinoy project after Love Is. It was like heaven and bagpipes and definitely does not deserve to have one here, and a below average score. Above all, in terms of acting, Stuck On You was a level higher. A small intimate drama, where both the main actors Yves and Iyo gave very solid performances, it is safe to say that they are actors. It is not easy to tighten the entire series in two. Processing also at a level including sound, music. Some small passages in the course of the story seemed to me a little long-winded or even for a moment blabbering about nothing. I don't see any illogicality there. Confusion about wearing masks is also present in our country, and many people, in fear, behave in one way at first and then in a different way.
One of the best Filipino series this year, I recommend it.

Především po herecké stránce byl Stuck On You o levely výš.

A project that didn't appeal to me didn't captivate me. Maybe a good or at least average series for Filipinos, but this time it didn't mean anything to me. Kaleb Ong, whom I know from Meet My Angel, didn't help either. The story, the script, it was pall mall, a bag full of fleas, stew, the acting was crampy, amateurish, talking heads (I don't blame the actors only, that's the director's thing), the only music was close to solid average, the processing also not much. I didn't really believe the actors, there were too many male "madams" and besides, the Filipino, Tagalog, unlike the cooing or squealing of the neighboring countries, seems so childish with the melody of the voice and the pronunciation, influenced by Spanish and later English. No, not this project anymore, and I think I'm still lenient in my assessment.

Borrowed Brilliance: My Demon's Struggle to Forge an Original Path

When this show started, i wrote a review stating a new iconic show was in the making. Little did i know that this show would end up copying every other fantasy drama each of which had carved its own place in viewers hearts.

In this show, apart from the chemistry between the leads and their visuals there is nothing to look forward to. Regarding the storyline there seems to be none, the writer merely copied scenes from various fantasy shows creating a mishmash of fantasy elements.

While watching, you will be reminded of every fantasy show made in Korea after Goblin. It starts copying storylines from Goblin, whole OST having vibes similar to Goblin's intro. The trope of a beggar lady turning out to be a god is another thing copied from Goblin and even in episode 15, the show replicates Goblin's ending by making Guwon disappear.

Now lets talk about Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. The entire storyline is basically a reversed version of SWDBS. Here ML Guwon becomes a bodyguard to protect FL CEO Dohee from her adopted family. This mirrors SWDBS, where FL Bong Soon becomes ML's bodyguard to protect him from his family. Both main characters have supernatural powers but the difference is that in SWDBS Bong Soon uses her powers when needed whereas here Guwon, even as a demon cant use his powers when its crucial. The serial killer plot was also entirely borrowed from SWDBS. While both tracks took different approaches they still induced a strong sense of deja vu when watching that specific storyline. The assistant character and the subplot with thugs are also directly copied from SWDBS.

Next is overused past life trope. Last year many shows applied this trope and while some were webtoon adaptations making it necessary, this show being an original one still included the cliche past life trope when it wasnt needed. The past life trope is borrowed from various shows like SYIM19L and Kokdu with a significant influence from Kokdu's version.

Adding to that, they didnt stop at copying fantasy shows, they even borrowed scenes from makjang shows like Penthouse. The way Noh Seok Min survives a massive fall is reminiscent of how Joo Dan Tae miraculously survived a building collapse in Penthouse. Additionally, the car blast involving Dohee seems like a throwback to Logan Lee's car bomb blast from Penthouse.

In addition to the above mentioned shows, this one also echoes/plays out similar plots to series such as Doom at Your Service, Heartbeat and Destined with You etc.

Now lets discuss the characters. They werent properly written. Firstly Guwon, the demon, couldnt use his powers when needed even against a mere human enemy for 14 episodes straight. Some may argue he lost his powers but even if thats the case, he could have utilized them with Dohee's help. Even after his powers returned he didnt use them to catch the villain. For instance, in a scene where they send Joo Seok Hoon to the main villain's house they could have easily gone there using Guwon's magic but they didnt. When Joo Seok Hoon returns without information only then do they go to the villain's house. However, by then main villain has removed the demon book and hidden it elsewhere. Even when the main villain's body disappears after falling from the clock tower, Guwon doesnt use his powers to catch him. Later main villain tries to kill Dohee and to save her Guwon sacrifices himself. The writing seems questionable.

Moving on to Dohee, the young CEO, she is generally good except for when she gave up the chairwoman position due to fear of the main villain. Its perplexing, having a demon by her side, yet fearing a mere human. However one could argue she is right considering the apparent uselessness of the demon's powers.

Joo Seok Hoon, SML of show, is considered by many to be the main villain but he turns out not to be. Unfortunately he ends up being most useless character in the drama merely serving as a love sick puppy for Dohee. Its puzzling why an actor like Lee Sangyi took on this role when there is little for him to perform.

The main villain, Noh Suk Min is another poorly written character. He is your typical negative villain with a backstory of being greedy for property. While i understand he is meant to be negative, the writer takes it to the extreme portraying him to the point of being willing to kill his own son. I also dont understand why he was even after Dohee when she willingly gave him the chair position. In the end, the way he survives a significant fall is one of the most illogical aspects of the show. Moreover his decision to burn his face for some unknown reason is also quite illogical.

Besides these four main characters, the others werent well written. For example the demon's obsessive lover, Jin Gayoung lacked depth. The office characters were mostly useless and brought in for lame comedy that hardly made anyone laugh. The love angle between Dohee's assistant and Guwon's assistant was also cringe worthy. It seems the writer aimed for humor but it ended up being more cringe than entertaining.

Cinematography is initially impressive but production values appear fake after a certain point. The portrayal of super rich characters offices does not align with the expected opulence of conglomereate's offices.
The music department fares decently with the main OST, True by Yaori being a standout.

In conclusion, the show lacks originality in both execution and writing with poor logic and character development. My disappointment led me to revise my original rating from 9/10 to 7/10 and that is solely for the chemistry between the leads.

What happened to me again after watching the movie The Greek (He Liu) by the same director. Most importantly, don't write anything right after watching! Let it ripen inside you, like any good cheese, which needs time. And that's exactly what I stuck to, and with hindsight I can't choose a low rating, because even this director's film, after River and Days (Riza), left its mark on me. Life partner of the director again in the main role. This time, I also liked Malay Norman Atun, whom Tsai discovered among the food vendors in Kuala Lumpur. It is not worth going into more detail, because Tsai is a controversial artist who divides the audience into two parts, and I also respect the other part of the audience who did not find a relationship with his works. In addition, Tsai's films have solid ratings on IMDb and MDL (here they are under different names) and high on ČSFD.

A little too much chemistry and a little too much of my obsession towards this!!

Set against the backdrop of racecars, winding racetracks, and high-stakes competitions, this series gripped me from the first rev of the engine. I personally liked this premises and the way it's presented, even the whole Alpha X Alpha set up. The drama cranked up quite a bit in the later half of the series plus the stakes were really high and I won't say everything was executed perfectly but regardless I enjoyed watching this. I ain't an avid Omegaverse reader and I don't even know if this can be called Omegaverse but trust me even if you don't know a thing about Omegaverse you can just dive in, it's still interesting because even I just know a thing or two about it.

Starting with Babe, I absolutely love him. Pavel nailed his role as Babe. Whether he's delivering a cutting remark or revealing a softer side, Pavel keeps you invested in Babe's journey. Babe is savage but the good kind of savage- if you know what I mean. He seems cold and rude but that's not all there is to him. There's a depth to his character and he is really charismatic. He is impulsive and he's been manipulated his whole life which describes why he can't trust other easily and he is one hell of a jealous type.

Then, we have Charlie, his cuteness blinds me. He is so freaking cute and it makes me want to protect him but then again it seemed like he had a hidden motive and I was scared. I was torn between wanting to trust Charlie and the nagging fear of a potential betrayal. Pooh did a really great job in portraying Charlie. And every time he was treated wrong I felt so freaking bad. I really really love him.

And then there's the chemistry between Charlie and Babe, which is nothing short of electric. They are all over each other. Their chemistry is seriously insane and what makes it more intriguing is their contrast personalities. I absolutely love them. Their papa mama talks were so cliche but damn they are absolutely adorable.

Then we have Alan, the garage and Hunter X owner, I like him so much especially his scenes with Jeff. Jeff is a cold on the outside but soft in the inside kind of genius kid and I absolutely adore his bond with Charlie. Also him and Alan are seriously adorable. Their interactions, subtle moves and glances towards each other, damn I love how their story was portrayed. I loved Charlie and Babe but I was dying to see Alan Jeff's scenes. They had really captured my mind as well as heart. From their very first scene, I found myself rooting for them and I was the happiest seeing their scenes.

Moving on to Way, he is Babe's best friend but he is in love with Babe and Babe doesn't know. All he is ever thinking is about Babe Babe and Babe. He might come off as nosy and sometimes annoying too but no doubt he is a good friend and I just wanted him to move on. I was genuinely rooting for Way and Pete and- urghh I don't want to spoil this. Watch it yourself to know. Also, North and Sonic, they are those likeable support leads who no one can hate and they are best friends but their equation didn't seem like that of just friends. I enjoyed their bond and them too.

A little bumpy ride but I would definitely recommend this!!!

The series with shorter episodes and the subject of a large family and all the little people around looks interesting, but I waited a long time for the pair Markie - Daniel (since the 6th episode). Until then, the little problems of boys and girls are solved there, in the first episodes the strange trans woman Jenevie even plays almost the "main role" (strange for us, perfectly normal for a Pinoy production). Played solidly, I liked Mateo and little Merry the most. The creators could have worked more on the only gay couple, their "sweetheart" wasn't even there and the ending sounded weird. Therefore, my overall rating is only average.

On this topic, we have only a few projects out of several thousand, and in addition, it was conceived differently, "three-way". A very good start with a light comedy that tickled my taste as well as the other two reviewers here, the middle parts - a bit of a drag and the final part - added more drama, humanity and subtlety. I had a great time and empathized with the characters, and I admit that it was completely original even from the narrow set of "replacements", so I sometimes got lost between "bodies and souls" in individual shots. Nicely played by the trio, the wonderful Lene Lai made sure of it, and the symposia Ray Yang from the supporting roles.

Pěkně trojicí zahráno, nádherná Lene Lai to jistila a z vedlejších rolí i sympoš Ray Yang.

A historical story from ancient China where something more develops between two men. It was filmed gently, almost tenderly, although the story itself does not lack betrayal, humiliation, cruelty, pain and death. Both main characters, Li Yu and Long Yang, were played excellently, and every small possibility was used to make "something" between them so that it did not exceed the red "gay regulation" (especially in the closing credits on the small screen). Chang Quin, even though she plays a negative character in the story, is also unmissable due to her perfect beauty. Processing very solid.
