Athin sucks

wth, the root cause is because of athin and why the hell he need revenge while he's at fault? worst guy ever. Jane tried hard to survive. i salute her and i hate kate. whom tried to compete with jane while having back up like her parents. and also i don't like her parents. They know their daughter did wrong. but instead of apologizing, she support her. wtf. Her mom always stand for rightful when teaching her daughter but she lost with her on her own. I totally proud of jane while people keep striking her and she never failed to keep fighting

OFFROAD & DAOU DELIVERED

Was this a perfect BL...maybe not. But it was perfect for Me. I adore Daou and Offroad together. Great Kisses. The only negative was the whole debt/kidnapping thing. And it wasn't a total negative it was just it came out of nowhere. The portrayal of love and acceptance between friends and family was heartwarming. I love how every person was there for the other. Offroad delivered a sincere performance as a guy that just wanted to be seen. To be trusted. Daou was so good as well. Almost perfect. Loved it

Hooray for girl power....?

You come home after a long day of work and see this on your Netflix homepage. You watch it because you had a long day of work and you wanna turn your brain off. Story is the same old rehashed ex-bodyguard/assassin/fighter coming out of retirement/unemployment/being a bum to take avenge his/her parents'/friends'/pets' death. Main character takes on waves and waves of baddies and never loses. After you finish this movie, you go to bed and sleep and then the next day begins. The only thing that remembers this movie is your Netflix history.

This movie is entertaining, I'll give you that. The fight scenes were exciting and left me wanting more, despite being on the verge of a seizure with all the rapid jump cuts. Main actress not willing to do the stunt work herself? Strange directorial choice. Bad CGI at some points as well. In addition, the acting wasn't anything to be raved about; and I'm shocked to see that the lead actress actually won a Baeksang previously. She had 0 chemistry with the friend whose death she was avenging. Like girl, why? Logically I get it, but emotionally I'm not feeling it yknow? And this was probably the greatest flaw of the film. Don't get me started on the random high school girl that sort of became her sidekick lol.

Cinematography and music wise it seemed like the director wanted to emulate the western style of thrillers, which I can't say is necessarily a bad thing (I personally quite liked it, particularly the music) but others may disagree. The ballet parts were quite well shot and kind of reminded me of Black Swan. I was hoping to see more ballet scenes, since this movie is called ballerina after all but unfortunately not. In fact, when I first saw this movie I expected it to be about an ex-ballerina turned assassin but in actuality the only association to ballet is the main character avenging her friend who just happens to be a ballerina. Strange name choice...

In conclusion, only watch if you just want a mind-numbing thriller to pass time. This movie is utterly forgettable and you won't remember (or want to remember) any of it. Just one of the many B-list thriller movies that Netflix pumps out. A better female centric thriller would be My Name, which has way better fighting scenes, better acting and a slightly more fleshed out plot. I'm only giving this a 6.5 because it's only 1.5 hrs long and I was fairly entertained by it lmao

A short and a fast translation but cute

Sorry, the headline might be weird, I don't know what to write lol

Actually, I wanted to rated 8.5 because I really loved this serie because it was too cute and didn't think much about it, it's like a light fluffly love story. But looking back, I give it 7.5 because I feel like some interesting points were not enough developping. I wish they could explain / show more of Yang Yanfeng's background story since he's the main lead and I also wish he could speak a bit more mandarin chinese because this is one of the element they wanted to high light. I also wanted they could insert some scenes where he's teaching to Phumjai some other words and maybe some misunderstandings with the language barrier could be interesting and funny.

It's true that I was also annoyed by the other main lead, Phumjai being childish (especially the fanboying too hard part but it's kind of relatable and true..) but then he has a character development so I changed my mind and found him cute and I was a little impressed by the fact he's not lazy or something but he gives his heart when he's doing something.

The support characters were funny and nice. The brother of Phumjai, Phojai was kind of annoying but maybe we have to put in his shoes. As the older brother, this is his way to show some concern for Phumjai and so on. As lover, it's a different story and I'm a bit disappointed they kind of brush it off the real concern of their story ( Phorjai and Tag).

Nonetheless, it was a lovely and a heartwarming journey to follow them, especially the two main leads, they have a really nice chemistry.

I feel like, we don't have to expect much, it's an easy watch for this short serie, it will bring a smile to your face!

Now, this is one of my all time favorites!!

I am writing a review after a really long time, but this series deserves all the praise and some more. Also, this is my first Chinese period drama, and I am glad that it's getting added to my firsts...

To begin with, the locations and scenes were mesmerising. I was a total goner when I saw the scenic beauty this show portrayed. Be it landscapes or architecture, everything was perfect.

As for the storyline, I was expecting it to be slow-paced and it was; however, I have to say that the 30-episode flashback kinda tested my patience. I am very impatient and going through the past story made me question everything. But then I started seeing the story unfold and understood that it was necessary for us to fathom the chemistry and loyalty between Wei Ying and Lan Zhan.

And that brings me to our leads. Both the actors were great, their characters were written to perfection, and they both did justice to it. I know that the novel this series was adapted from is BL but here they kept their chemistry so subtle that some may not even catch it. Looks shared between Wei Ying and Lan Zhan, their unbound trust in each other, the care they showed for each other, Lan Zhan's softness and leniency towards Wei Ying, those slight smiles that Lan Zhan only gave to Wei Ying, these small things were far more intense and interesting.

I have to say this, every time Wei Ying smiled at Lan Zhan, even I couldn't stop my smile. That guy was looking crazy beautiful with his personality, attire, flute, those dark shadows, and that smile. As for Lan Zhan, I don't remember seeing him smile without any restraint or whether I missed it, I am not sure.

Overall, this series deserves all the popularity. I am sure I will watch it again someday!

Beautiful story even without a kissing scene

nice story, even without a kiss
I just love this drama so much
acting was on point
the plot was engaging
Ost is supereb
no cheezy or cringey scene
not the regular stories either
Allen Ren killed his role
All actors nailed their role really
The endings was more of an opening-ending but I personally don't mind it
should I expect a second season? I don't know but I hope there will be sometime in the future
I almost gave up on this drama because of negative reviews
but goodness I love this drama so much
advice to future watchers
don't hesitate, watch the drama with an open mind , just give it a shot

Love Transcends

This series has turned out to be a PSA for fire safety and the trials and tribulation of firefighters with a touch of sensationalism of a 'celebrity' element. Nevertheless, it also shows the innate dangers within the dramatic turns that effect their lives throughout. Relationship challenges are very real for those that work in this field or any First Responder field. The ending left a lot for interpretation. Especially for those of us that know within the novel there is a happy ending.

The ending seemed to imply that the writers wanted to give the audience a 'What If' feel.
What if - He didn't survive the forest fire. How would she love/honor him?
What if - He did and finally, they figured out a way to love while yearning. And he arrived late to the performance and was moved by how she displayed the ebb and flow of firefighting through her art and with his brother playing part.

This was a beautiful and thoughtful series more so about firefighting, dangers, sacrifice and safety than romance. The ML and FL were strong in conveying the thoughtfulness to each other and their fields and determination to be present for each other regardless. Their chemistry was warm and comforting. The supporting cast were strong in delivering a memorable piece of art. Worth the watch!

The kid carries this drama and must be the smarter person in the room.

The kid carries this drama! The two adults act so childishly that most of the issues are misunderstandings due to a lack of communication and trust in each other.

The FL is a superwoman with a successful career and a full-time mom, but I'm not sure if that is putting the expectations for single mothers too high. For example, you can be super good at your job or an amazing mother, but both come with sacrifices. If, as a woman, I had a child, but I had to be absent from work a few hours a day more than twice a week for my kid's hospital appointment, I'm not sure if I would get the same executive position or respect as my male counterparts who spent more time at the office. We can't deny, though, that she's very strong and an example for many women out there who may want to take on this challenge, so kudos for that. The ML on the other end needs to do better, and I'm glad she made him work twice as hard to get a spot on her table with her son; he's not a bad guy per se, but as always, men need to work harder, please.

The FL best friend is a girl crush too; I loved her! Probably her romance with the younger guy is the only second couple in a drama that I haven't skipped in years; they're the sweetest!

I'll try my best to stop hating on the main couple's bickering and misunderstandings and try to finish this once and for all lmao.

Like a pack of dry cookies that are strangely addicting, even though they taste like nothing.

I know it’s a drama loved by many, but I’m sadly not in that camp. I still enjoyed it quite a lot, it just never truly moved me that much, and I think that was supposed to be the biggest selling point - how touching it is.

I think the biggest reason I did not fall in love with the drama itself is the fact I never fell in love with two main characters - Choi Woong and Gook Yeon Soo. I was indifferent about them as individuals and completely not interested in them as a pair. Something about how they were written did not click with me.

On the other hand, I adored so many supporting characters with Kim Ji Woong being easily my favorite. Both episodes focused on his point of view were in my perspective the most interesting and engaging. I know for a fact I liked him so much because I related to him in many areas, but that’s the strength of the drama - they present many unique, but realistic characters, I’m sure everyone would find one to relate to.

I’m quite sad how little they showed of NJ. There was not one scene of hers that was boring, some were quite meaningful. I appreciate how they never made her a typical toxic second female lead - her perspective on the whole situation was refreshing.

While I understand the drama portrays a lot of important life lessons that young people face - from teens to late twenties, I weirdly never connected to this presentation. Sure, there were some scenes that were memorable, but overall I don’t think I’m going to remember much after a few months.

Performances? Phenomenal from the whole cast. Exactly zero complaints. The emotional scenes were done well, the comedic bits were truly funny, not one character was miscast.

Overall, while my brain understands why many people loved this show, my heart does not follow.

For fans only!

What have I just finished watching? I am so weak: I keep succumbing to the hype and then I do not understand why I am always disappointed. Definitely, I will never learn! I understand why the japanese never released this movie subbed: it is really only for those already familiar with this story's light novel/anime universe!

I won't even try to write the gist of the movie down: a fantasy world, families with powers, and of course a court conspiracy.
The first half of the movie is Cinderella. The second: any zombie/crazy virus movie! I actually liked it very much at the beginning. Cinderella meets her prince who is cold and forbidding. He stays like that for about 5 seconds and then he falls in love and turns all mushy and the only thing he's interested in is her while there is a virus or whatever outbreak all around! And of course, she saved the day and they live happily ever after.... I was really hoping for a more developed story between them. The ML character actually lacked depth and the sudden change from a block of ice to fluff and cherry blossom was a bit too much to take! I guess he was hiding his kind side behind the cold soldier exterior: it took the girl 48h to make him fall hook line and sinker for her mousy submissive demeanor! Truth be told that demeanor hid a strong willed person who knows how to fight for what she finds important!

I have no knowledge of the source material so I am judging this just like an ordinary member of audience who happened to watch a movie because the title and the poster looked nice! No more, no less! The movie has very high production values: the cinematography is stunning, direction has a sense, writing is solid, the editing is suspenseful enough, the special effect efficient. The actors did their job well, the main couple had good chemistry. Music was really good as well. There is nothing wrong with the product and yet I was bored. Definitely not my cup of tea!

This is a real 10 out of 10

I was postponing watching this, thinking it is a fluff romantic light TV show, but I was wrong. The Tv show is not just a great romance but has depth and real struggles as an athlete and many more obstacles that remain to be solved by out leads: no misunderstandings, no break ups, and no annoying parents. Everything was very well balanced. Give it a try because this is totally worth it. I don't want to comment any further without revealing too much :)
No I will comment on the cast- I will definitely check more dramas from that actor- amazing acting, very natural and very good facial expressions.
FL was also great and she was not your typical dumb, clingy immature FL that very traditionally portrayed in Asian tv show. Thankfully, she was a strong , smart and amazing woman. The relationship with the ML was so so natural that I totally believed them how much they love each other.

It was ok

So what did I like about this drama? I liked the idea of this story. There aren't many dramas that focus on female boxers, so I really wanted to watch it. Likewise, I liked the actors, especially Lee Sang Yeob. He really managed to portray his character in a great way.

What bothered me about this drama? It was unrealistic in some parts. This story didn't need gangsters or bad people. The boxers acted well, but they didn't look like boxers at all. They looked so weak. They should have looked for actors who look a little more athletic. Then that would have been much better.

You can definitely watch this drama for in between. It's definitely a good drama without a complex story.

An anti-hero type of BL

If you’re willing to look past the lakorn-esque stylistic treatment of Laws Of Attraction, Jam and Film continue to deliver in this addictive series.

The magic of Laws of Attraction is that it demonstrates complex motivations and the inconsistent behaviour of individuals. It’s not so clear who the bad guys are because you end up rooting for their character anyway, even if they have done some pretty questionable things.

As the narrative unfolds, the lines between the “good people” and “bad people” are increasingly destabilised as Charn turns out to be a classic anti-hero.

Unlike Khun Chai where Jam and Film have a cute and wholesome dynamic, Film is a total corporate gangster in Laws of Attraction. With a really creepy smile too.

Overall, “To Sir With Love” is still my favourite JamFilm show, but as a series, Laws of Attraction is compelling enough to keep you hooked.

I hated the homewrecker vibes!!

Some may call it romantic – Sailom makes plans to get closer to the guy he likes, and pursues him via these different (planned) encounters. But you can also think of it this way – it’s quite creepy for someone to pursue their wedding planner??

The bulk of the first few episodes is Nuea desperately trying to get the couple – who are clearly not interested in marrying each other – to provide him with all the information he needs to plan their dream wedding.

Nuea, who is hopelessly attracted to Sailom, is faced with an uphill battle: 1) Plan a wedding for 2 people who have no idea (and possibly don’t quite care about) what they want, 2) DON’T FALL IN LOVE WITH SOMEBODY ELSE’S TO-BE HUSBAND.

I wish the plot didn’t involve an elaborate lie just so I could properly enjoy the budding relationship between Lom and Nuea. Especially since the chemistry between Nuea and Lom was pure fire.
