Need to re-read the manga. Haha...

Quite surprising when I know they gonna make the Real Life of One Piece. Even more surprised when I know MDL put it too. Cause you know the cast not really scream Asian drama.... Haha... Watching the trailer.... Interesting... The CGI quite good. We got the good picture of Luffy stretchy body or Buggy separated body without the blur or anything weird. Haha... Especially I'm really happy how they make Luffy stretchy body, it's quite real & fun... Haha...

This first of many season is up until Luffy gather his first crew: Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp & Sanji. Next season we will gonna meet Chopper & that's also another character that I'm really curious to see the CGI... Really happy about how they close the curtain... It's a beautiful end to close this season journey

My impression about the cast quite good. They quite fit their role & compatible to the manga. Actually except for Luffy himself, something lacking. I can't really said what aspect, but something feel amiss... Haha... And actually a little bit worried too. Cause for me the age of the cast quite aged/old. Haha... Worried about the future, cause you know this still a long journey to sail with. Haha...

And you know, funnily the one group of character that I kinda missed from the manga are Usopp little friend. In the manga Usopp have 3 little followers that follow him around. And also involved with Usopp little lie about 'Pirate are coming to town'. Because this 3 little followers that will gonna continue Usopp journey in the town & also help company & entertain Kaya after Usopp leave. But I know they just try to avoid Little Kids learn to lie kinda situation. Haha...

And I know some fans already complaining & comparing this to the anime or the manga. Like how short / looked easy the fight or how they change / shorten the story to make story faster. But hey, hello.... This quite difficult Anime or Manga to make real life action for & I'm really happy with the result. So don't write argument below my review too about how complaining you are. Haha...

Really hope they can keep the good work until the end & not messed up with the whole drama. Cause you know One Piece fans can go wild.... Haha...

Can't wait for season 2. Hope we don't wait for too long...

I loved this so much more than season 1...my 2 fav girls ended up with their men

Please this made me smile, cry and laugh...
I love love love the way, Daeun and Marie got their happy endings with the men.
They were the realest members of the cast, and their friendship was the cutest as they always shared their concerns with each other.
Aran got her happy ending with Taewoo but I wasn't that invested in them so yea, congrats.
Now for Dabin...this girl...she really stressed me out...I mean I know it's a dating show and you're technically not together yet, but the way she ditched Minseok for SangMin and it wasnt even minutes after SangMin rejected her that she came running back to MinSeok saying she still had feelings.
Even MinSeok called 'bullshit' and called her out for it (he was like, "I confessed to u that night and then u chose SangMin the next day saying he was the one you're most interested in, but when he said he likes Daeun you immediately stat flirting with me again") when she asked him if they could be a thing again.
Of course, she said that wasn't the case and she liked him from the beginning...but it's so obvious she was lying.
I don't wanna be mean but I'm so glad he called her out and finally chose Marie who truly liked him and confidently showed it.

And can I just say, 'SANGMIN IS A KING'. Marie asked him out on a date because MinSeok being in love with Dabin really hurt her and the fact that MinSeok said that her and his date was just so-so.
So when Maria called him out, and both shared their concerns about their love life to each other, they made a pact to make MinSeok jealous and it was the most entertaining thing I have ever seen. SangMin made MinSeok SOOO jealous and had so much fun flirting with Marie doing that, it was just the cutest and wholesome friendship on this show. SangMin and Marie friends forever?

Anyways that's it, I 100% recommend this, it's so entertaining and the ending is so satisfying...altho my cinnamon roll didn't get Aran...but he'll find someone better.

So cute I wanna cry!

This show is a MUST MUST WATCH!!!!

Everything about this show was perfection and adorable. It gave me so many butterflies. I watched the whole show without skipping any scenes or cringing at any point(which is a rare standard to keep for a Chinese show).

I loved the whole cast. Not only are the leads brilliant but the supporting cast was amazing too. The FL and ML are such good actors whether it be funny, romantic or emotional scenes.

The love story between ML and FL is so organic and nuanced. The FLs family dynamic is so well done and her relationship with her brother is a show stealer.

The OST is so good and complements the story. I already have a couple of songs added to my playlist.

It was such a feel-good romcom and it is definitely going on my re-watch list. I can't recommend this show enough.

The show that started it all

I highly recommend this show.
This was one of the first shows I watched when I started watching Kdramas. This was the first supernatural/fantasy genre Kdrama I saw so I was very sceptical but I LOVED it.

The story was so captivating. The casting was perfection and all the cast members knew what they were doing.
The back and forth between the modern timeline and ancient timeline was so well done.
The highlight of the show for me was the bromance between the goblin and the grim reaper.
The love story was between the goblin and the main FL was fine (once you get past the creepy age difference). I preferred the love story of the second ML and FL more.

A good story makes or breaks the show for me but OST makes it unforgettable. This show has arguably one of the best OSTs. It still gives me goosebumps.

Definitely a MUST-WATCH!!!!

A Decent Watch

If you are wondering if this show is worth watching, you can definitely give it a go. It is not a must watch but still good enough.

The first couple of episodes were a little meh and I thought maybe I should drop it but I am glad I stuck around. The show gets better after that and picks up the pace. The story line is good. OST is good but forgettable. ML and FL are good at acting. It is better than your average Chinese show in the sense that the FL is not dumb and annoying (if you look past the first 2-3 episodes).

Their relationship progression is organic and doesn't feel rushed. Also, the show didn't take itself too seriously by calling out on a lot of cliche tropes. Though I did watch a lot of it at 1.5x speed(which I do with most of the series), I still liked it enough to watch it all the way through.

The blurred lines between law and attraction

The line between love and hate is barely visible, but the distinction between lawful good and chaotic good is clear as day. The very first scenes establish the characteristics of our main characters, Charn, a high profile lawyer who is ruthless and not above bending the law to further his will. One the other side is Tin, a martial arts coach who believes the law is just and the law will do it's job. These two are brought together on several occasions, the most notable being when they meet as plaintiff and defense in the case involving the death of Tin's niece.

The story moves along with Tin and Charn joining forces once Charn realises that something doesn't sit quite right with the case, and from here on out follows the adventures of the gang as they try to figure out the truth behind the accident.

The series is through and through a lakorn, from the gratuitous violence, terrible parents on one end, and incredibly supportive parents and guardians on the other, a villain who's not really a villain, and the plethora of other lakorn tropes that make it interesting (yet sometimes horrifying) to watch. Another great part is that this is also a character driven drama. The story and situation plays an important role in progressing the plot forward, but the involvement of the characters keeping in mind their personalities and allegiances make this a series where it is impossible to predict the next movement of any character. The story is fairly predictable, but the way the characters interact with each other in addition to the fact that you can never predict what exactly they're going to do next keeps it interesting on all fronts.

The best part though is the chemistry. Charn and Tin have this undeniable chemistry between each other, and they seem to have it with everyone else as well. The dialogue flows when they interact with each other and during those moments you almost forget how their relationship started out.

This is a genuinely good series, and while it does have its fair share of gruesome scenes (some of them were hard to watch), it's definitely worth a watch, especially for the romance.

absolutely underrated!

I'm halfway through this drama and it definitely has me wanting to see more and more.
I don't understand why people that have actually watch this drama would give it low ratings.
I'm so glad that I read at least one rating that had good things to say about this amazing drama!!

There is everything you want in a drama. I've had a hard time shutting off at night, I always have to watch one more episode. That's the kind of drama that deserves a top rating. Even if I don't understand what's happening at times, it still has you wanting for more and more.

Spectacular performance, A sure to watch and I will forever cherish the character in my ♥️?

I have been watching this since 15days straight and started reading the novel... i cant say how many times i have watched n read it ... and not even a single time i felt boredom.
How magically it has been written.. surely writer Tong Hua is a spell caster ... I being not understanding Chinease a single word still fell hard for the story and the cast indeed justified the characters.
My personal n ultimate fav character is Tushan Jing and very well portrayed by Dang Wei..
One surely watch this spectacular drama....
Everything was on point the story , d location, direction, music ....
Indeed its a marvelous show.....
Do give it a try n you wont regret it.

A brief moment of enjoyment that didn't linger

This one left me with a profound feeling of "Yup, that sure was a show I watched!"
It's one of the lightest, easiest to watch dramas out there and I'm sure many people will, understandably, love it for that.
The writing is solid, the actors deliver fun and believable performances, and the visuals and editing work well.
And that's about it.
The main leads have an engaging and enjoyable dynamic which leads them approximately nowhere.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good "nothing really happens" story and slow, quiet explorations of life and what it means to be human delight me like nothing else, but that's not what this show gave me.
There is such a profound lack of plot, such a wealth of characters doing nothing more than vaguely existing together that after each episode I just found myself asking "Okay, and?"

So if you're in the market for a show that's nice to look at and will certainly help you while away some 80 odd minutes, this one will deliver. If you're looking for something more you probably won't find it here.

Appreciated some, annoyed in some.

Another yet highly rated Chinese series along with LIGHTER AND PRINCESS that I didn't enjoy much, if not for some depth, with regard to some relationship values, friendship and family wise.

I'll be honest here, I didn't like this much. Maybe I'm just too old for this genre or way too annoyed, with regard to some aspects of this series. Mainly because I'm not into girls chasing their boys. It annoyed me greatly that this young girl is obsessing about a crush, trying hard to be so cute, doing all the initiatives to get his attention, so forth so on. I'm so not into this.

Don't get me wrong here. This maybe an unpopular review, and a great series for most, and I respect that. Yet this is how I see this. It annoyed and bored me to no end in most chapters and scenes. I'm a reader and I hate my heroines obsessing over a hero in my books, doing all the chasing. Most frustrating to read or watch, is if the hero is an arse or in this case, a quiet non smiling boy most of the time, who's just wanting to be left alone, yet here's this annoying girl who does everything to garner his attention, following him like his dog, despite the clear message, he isn't interested to be bothered.

I understand the message yes. This is a youthful coming of age drama about friendship, family dynamics and mostly about a bubbly cheerful girl, eventually helping a quiet boy to trust her, come out of his shell and believe more in himself. In doing so, she greatly annoyed me.

There are things I appreciated about this series though, that's why I'm not fully relegating it as a waste of my time.
I appreciated the friendship dynamics. That the story isn't mainly focused on one or two characters. They each have their own stories to tell. I find it adorable mostly, the heartwarming relationship between the grandma and the other boy. This made me miss my own granny.

The support system between the friends and the deep messages and values this series tried to convey, are good, especially when it comes to self belief, trust, redemption, and mostly certain facets inside a family unit. That family is the most important foundation and this is where you lay down the most important aspects, to be able to raise good, self respecting successful youths not only career wise, but as they face life's challenges.

When it comes to romance though, I'm still old school I guess. It's okay to like someone yes, or go for what or who you want. Up to a certain extent. There are a lot of ways to like a boy or a man, and for him to appreciate you back . One thing is like and respect yourself first, for a man to like and respect you back. For a drama, this might be deemed as cute and heartwarming, but in reality, boys or men may get flattered with girls' attention, but you're just paving a way for some heartaches.

I understand this is a youthful drama, about first loves, being innocent and naive and all that, still I didn't appreciate some aspects of it. It's a good thing this series didn't just try to focus on the main couple's story or else I would have dropped it.

Overall a heartwarming series. One Chinese series though, HIDDEN LOVE is similar to this, but more to my liking.

Pointless

I am some who loves survival show, however this show is not worth watching.

From the way the trainee acted when they were receiving bad feedbacks, all of them clap and there reaction seems fake.

I don’t really understand if HYBE are going to rigged the show in the first place why can’t they just select the debut line directly? Is there a need for this show to exist in the first place? MNET at least have the curtesy to make it not so obvious.

Maybe HYBE is trying to pull another Sunoo ?Like new trainee, cute looking, and wasn’t in the top rank at the beginning, BUT Wonhee talent is way too drastic her dance, emotion and lip sync on survival show but still getting 1st rank it is just too ridiculous!

If MNET were to rigged the show they would surely not put wonhee in the first place.

Good story, bad pacing: i.e. flashbacks inferno!

I feel I need to rant about this series! What it could and should have been and what it was not! Firstly, the title has nothing to do with the drama. It is a story about a couple: how they got together, how they broke up, how they got together again, a jealous interlude and the final happily ever after. There is nothing in between here! A normal A to Z romance plot! And then there is the pacing and editing which ruined a perfectly good show!

It is a story of five close friends and their respective love lives. Two of them were secretly in a relationship but they broke up. Another one has been in a secret long distance relationship for years afraid to tell his best friends about it. One girl has a long-term boyfriend she feels getting more and more distant. And the last girl apparently has too high standards to date. The key issue treated here is communication and lack thereof in a relationship!

The group of friends are really good together, they talk a lot to each other and are supportive but secrets are many and are menacing to ruin their close friendship if not told or at least explained. The main couple are Tau and Tep who see each other for the first time one year after they broke up. They still have feelings for each other and they finally talk about everything realizing they are still in love so they get back together.

It is rather fluffy and superficial series: the most serious bit is the opening credits warning! The worst is of course the surprise! Why would people think that preparing a secret surprise is a good idea? We see it over and over again: one person wants to surprise the other one with a party or some such event and goes around talking in secret and hiding things from the other person who, seeing all this going on cannot help but be hurt and suspicious. And even when the person suspecting foul play talks and asks for explanation, his doubts are brushed away by the other person as sille. I find this extremely cruel. I've seen this repeating often in dramas and even though the person surprised forgives the stress, I find it ominous for their relationship. Here Tep even apologizes to Ri, Tau's coworker who helped him set up the surprise event, even though, we find out later, he was very much right about Ri having feelings for Tau.

Communication and honesty are the key: do not lie, hide things from your partner. It is hurtful! To gain acceptance, one needs to be truthful to oneself first and foremost and then to the people closest to you: friends and family.

So the problem with this series is not the story but the technical aspect: the editing mostly! There are 14 twenty minutes episode. Every episode is split in two parts of about 10 min each. Out of those 10 min there are about 3 min of credits, previously on and next on. Out of the remaining minutes there is about 4min of plot while the rest are flashbacks! This would have made a nice movie or a short maybe 6 episode series: there is not enough of plot for so many episodes which is a shame! The pacing is off: there are flashbacks of flashbacks, going back to past and from there further in the past but it is not often clear which past it is. The editing is confusing and you have to pay attention to the smallest details to understand which past is being told. There were also some continuity errors but silly ats that may be, it just adds to the lacking technical side of this drama.

Can somebody please edit this series? If you do that the rating will go through the roof: because there is nothing fundamentally
wrong with the plot or acting! It is a nice web drama. But that editing.....

A quiet, tender masterpiece

Ah, Blueming... what can I say about this show that hasn't already been said?
It is a wonderfully down-to-earth queer drama steeped in realism and tenderness in equal measure.

The visuals are gorgeous and combined with the excellent soundtrack create an atmosphere of quiet hopefulness and renewal, like the feeling of the first days of spring slowly creeping in to replace the winter cold.
That may sound overly poetic, but this story is so touching, so softly poignant that it just grabbed me by the heartstrings so tightly there is simply no other way to describe the impact it had other than through poeticism.
There are no great twists, no dramatic misunderstandings, no grand declarations of love and passion. There is just the slow and steady journey of a cast of achingly real people learning and growing and navigating their way towards happiness, which is portrayed with such raw emotional vulnerability it left me feeling cracked open a split apart in the best way possible.

This show will gently nudge you into reflecting on themes of love, self-image, societal pressures, and the mortifying ordeal of being known. It forgoes melancholy and angst and instead focuses on the raw, quiet joy of being alive and getting to grow and change and learn every day. Just watch it; everyone's soul needs to be wrung out and hung out to dry every once in a while and this story will do that for you.

This is a rant review

The filters and setting are quite similar to many recent xianxias. There are more diversity in unique concepts such as the demon king story arc.

One thing i find unsettling is the lack of fleshed out characters. Everyone had a character setting that regulated their screen time and personality to. For example the red string master, heavenly emperor, Chu Kong, and almost the rest of the characters.

The red string master had no background and only in times of need or necessary attendence, he'd be gone. His role was somewhat significant but there were a lack of story in his character. For example, his place of origin.

The heavenly emperor had a one-track mind and never changed goals. Not a single women around him and he's never thought to reflect upon himself. Considering his rather long age, he should have gotten a more complicated mind rather than that one motto: I want to be strong.
Even with that motto, what event would have changed his mindset so drastically while growing up.

Chu Kong is a wild card. His personality is never set in stone but we can see how much of a softie he is after the second tribulation. Playing with his cold persona doesnt last very long because he is then molded to becoming a henpecked partner. No females to bother him since he's such an attractive single bachelor also with a high status.

Cang Hai aka Xiang Yun are pretty different. Xiang Yun is cheeky and full of smiles however Cang Hai is more modest and dignified due to her upbringing. The way the actress protrayed the two really shows just how well she carved the character details. I'd say they did a great job with her characterization.

I also want to rant about how they didn’t need to really get Cang Hai's dormant power to take down Hao Xuan, the heavenly emperor.
The scene of Chu Kong and Hao Xuan battling allowed me to see their power. Although I'm not sure if Hao xuan was weak due to the demon-devouring array or being inside the forest.
Although it did end with Hao Xuan falling into the void the same way Cang Hai fell into the void.

I really enjoyed the bgm and costumes. It was really amazing how everything collectively came together and formed this story.
