A whole premium ballad music video

The concept is actually nothing new but it does have the ability to uphold a high production value, despite it being quite a typical kdrama for most of the time. The cinematography is amazing, which looks like some really premium ballad music video, the calm and soothing feel is the whole highlight of the drama. The storyline has good direction but basically the logical sense can be ignored for good, fortunately it was able to capture the essence of how a public figure has to sacrifice their private lives in order to maintain their image for business. The ending is so heartfelt and realistic for both of the leads, which is intensely intriguing and delicate.

Realmente entretenido, ve a verlo ya!!!

Empiezo por los actores.
Rowoon lo hizo de maravilla! Que bárbaro este hermoso ser es demasiado talentoso.
Increíble química con Bo-ah.
Ella me gustó bastante!

Bitterly perfect~✨

✨9.5/10

So after much thought I think this drama is actually pretty great. It started of normal with pretty light hearted shades but midway through changed into a melodrama. I think I was too focused on the leads but the other love interests had their own stories too. I was afraid the world building would be unsatisfactory cause these short netflix dramas tend to focus solely on the main characters and doesn't bother expanding with different characters and relationships.but it was not the case here.Visualy it is stunning.the actors portrayed the characters well and got me rooting for them.

FL is a fallen star that collided with a university student. For once a character like her was believable. She found peace with him.

ML? He's a warm and caring guy. Though oblivious to what romance is about he was perfect. He actively tried to be there for her made her have a sense of belonging.

From cinematography, acting, story and the OSt everything wrepped up well in a bow. They really did well in showcasing the concept of bitterd romance.
This kept me worried and wanting to see how the plot progresses so it means it's a good drama.

My thoughts on the ending:

Well there seem to be a pretty heated argument about the open ending.
(I respect your opinion. here I'll state mine.)

So I thought it was going to be a pretty bad open ending but IMO it wasn't that bad.
Sure the leads are not dating but at least they still like each other? They like each other but decided to wait for the right time for love instead to focus on their dreams and careers.
That's what I interpreted from the ending.

(I think it's not that bad if they do decide to do a s2 that is. But the problem is that it is highly unlikely.)

In full honesty this drama was a drama that is completely out of my zone. A melodrama?I would never watch it. I was so frustrated during the last half of the drama but that frustration turned in to admiration in the end for how good the writers and actors did to sell us the concept of a bittersweet romance. Though I was emotionally exhausted at the end.

Anyways I'll post enough GIFS about this on feeds so it means I love it.lol

Better than I was Expecting

I came into this series frustrated with the constant cast changes and put off by the low reviews, but I quickly found that I loved the new story focused on Lom and Thatch. To be fair, it could've been a completely separate series, but I did like how every so often, we would see the original gang. The story was very sweet, compelling, and I thoroughly fell in love with their love story. It's tough to get used to the cast changes, but it was so worth it to finish the series. If you are on the fence about giving this season a chance, I’d say go for it.

Disappointed?

Myb I’m being too harsh, but it was very good in the beginning. I really like a lot of the actors, esp the main cast. But its… boring? after 5ish eps.
I ended up having to skip around the last 4 eps bc I’d had enough lol. If the series was 10 eps, it would have been a lot better imo. There was just too much ~Nothing~

And boy did I dislike ALL of the chars by the end T___T The only ones I actually liked were ML’s mom and Kim Wook.

But definitely give it a try!! You never know.

A must watch Historical Drama

I was kind of surprised when I wathed this drama in 2021 with the main actress Kim So Hyeon...First time I see her in action drama, she is very for to do historical drama since young and not fir for like drama like Lovely Liar or Love Alarm , not impressive at all in these dramas. Somehow she is so fit for all Historical dramas and love to watch her role . This is one of her best, and I think the first Historical I watch was The Moon that embraced the Sun and at that time she was still very young.
She is a great actess among so many I should say . And this drama am gonna watch a second time. Thanks to the screenwrite, Dirctor and Producer for such wonderful story
これはぜひ見ていただきたい素晴らしい歴史ドラマです。

This PROVES ya'll will do anything for a check.

I have so many issues with this show, but its not the worst thing ever.

Main couple had no real chemistry, and I keep wondering if PHJ is even really suited to these regular romcoms.

I felt nothing by the end but I didn't feel as if my time was completely wasted.

Whole thing REEKS of weekly production. Nothing feels linear or cohesive. Character plotlines are either nonexistant or get tied up SUPER quick. I kept thinking about little things. Hyejin's dynamic with her BF's mom would have been more intresting with earlier and frequent scenes. If she had been offending her BF's mom slowly and consistantly for the length of the show think of how much funnier it would have been.

Such an obvious lack of planning.

Does have a traditional HEA tho. Its alright. Won't ever watch it again tho.

Absolutely fantastic!

I’m still in shock at how good this series was. I have rarely found a “romance” that is this good and keeps me so engaged that I don’t want to stop watching.

At first, I didn’t see the two leads together. Complete opposites. He looks so much younger than her. He’s professional and polished. She dresses frumpy and really needs to do something with that hair. But as the series went on, they made sense.

There were so many side stories which included characters that I loved and hated. The love triangle with her daughter was hilarious most of the time. I just loved both guys so much. But there was only one obvious choice for her.

There was murder and suspense. I have to say that was the most devastated I have been and I started crying from the moment I realized what was going to happen. I figured out exactly how it would all go down and I was right. Left me gutted and I still haven’t stopped crying.

Her best friend’s relationship was the cutest.

I highly recommend this series. It has substance and not at all boring. It has a great ending.

The only reason I'm not giving this a 10 is cuz I'm stingy

First off, what I loved the absolute most, and also what stands out the most to me, is that they actually gave the 2nd ML his own character and personality. One that doesn't involve simply devoting his life to chasing FL and getting sad and jealous when he fails. GuangYao's character made this entire series just that much better for me.

The setting of the Shanghai Warlord times during the Revolution was superb, and themes of deception, lies and betrayal run through the series. The realistic touch of history and the evil side of humanity really brought life to the series, and I love how they portrayed the greyness of reality, how nothing is truly good and nothing is truly evil.

I love both the main leads to bits, both are cunning little sly foxes with genius minds. They would do anything to save each other, and I'm glad to see that even FL had her own power and charisma, something that we don't often see in Chinese dramas.

Tan XuanLin (ML) was such a cunning character, he had me fooled multiple times with his marvelous acting, and yes I'm talking about the acting skills of both the actor and the character himself. It was absolutely fantastic and on point!

I did wish that the main leads could communicate a bit more to each other regarding their plans, but there was also a very good reason they didn't. What I love about this drama, is that there were not any cliched plot points to push the main leads together, and no miscommunication as well. While they may not have told each other everything, it was not due to miscommunication, but out of necessity and protection. Besides they are smart enough to figure out the other's plan anyway ><

The side characters, although not having as much screen time, had their own precious plotlines, where we see cute and dramatic relationships developing. They have often make me cry my heart out, or laugh my head off, or squeal just cuz of how cute they are. The couples in this series just hit that sweet spot and creates endless sugary treats for me.

PS do be prepared to cry sometimes. get some tissues.

If you're still hesitating, please don't. At least give it a try, you will be captivated since the very first episode.

Why this drama is one of the best of the year, and it's not an exaggerated thought!

I have never written a review but I felt the need to do this one today. I hope to do fairly well.

I think it is the perfect drama for the rainy season that is going on right now.

From my point of view, it makes you meditate, it is simple, but at the same time, it leaves you with a feeling of heaviness in your heart and you can't stop turning it over in your head.
For some reason I have felt comforted myself when I listened to Won-jun speak, and in some way, it has made me reflect as a person because of the character he has.

I think the story is perfect, I would not change anything, because I really liked how they developed it. The only reason this drama is not a 10 for me, is because I would have liked them to delve more into Doona's life before meeting him, otherwise it is perfect.
And for the detractors of the ending, I have to say that I think that what they wanted to tell and how they did it, was phenomenal. If you remember, Doona explained to him that only when her career stabilized could she be with him and he knew that for society to "accept" him he had to be an "adult", that is, graduate, settle down and get a job, as it is dictate on the standard that exists in society. That is why I think the ending has accurately captured how they have fought and achieved the "requirements" to be able to love each other.

I also want to emphasize that both the cinematography and the soundtrack of this drama are exceptional.

We must also talk about the level of the performances of both Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong. She has never seemed like a bad actress to me, but I think she nailed it this time. And what can I say about him, I have been eagerly awaiting his return.

I hope this simple, although a bit short, review helps you.

"Which elementary school did you go to?"

The Night of the Undead had zero zombies in it if that’s what you are looking for. Without giving away any plot points, the title refers to a dark night with aliens and humans who all seemed very difficult to kill. The movie was far more comedic than frightening.

So Hee is living a great life. She resides in a huge apartment and has a gorgeous husband who cooks her breakfast every morning. When Man Gil’s late nights at work and disturbing text messages pique her curiosity, she goes to The Mystery Research Lab. Broccoli, the man in charge of the shabby agency, follows her husband and brings back a disturbing report. Man Gil is not only a philandering husband, he’s also an alien. When her loving hubby attempts to murder her, So Hee calls upon Broccoli and her friends Sera and Yang Sun to help her put a permanent stop to his lethal ways. Killing a murderous alien was harder than it looked as he was nigh on indestructible. He also had his own crew of indestructo buddies. The Korean version of Men in Black were also hunting down the unbreakable Choi Man Gil. It might take a combination of the Earthly forces and a bizarre feline concoction to save the planet.

The film ran too long, it would have benefited from a 90 minutes running time. Some comic schticks were beaten dry of any humor from situations. Having said that there were genuinely funny moments. If you were needing something suspenseful, look elsewhere. Due to the comedic nature of the film, the grim happenings couldn’t be taken too seriously. The story had serious plot holes and implausible elements which were difficult to overcome. This was also one of those films that only had enough money to pay for the rights to one song---Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy played several times.

It’s rare for a sismance to take center stage in a movie, but So Hee, Sera, and Yang Sun banded together despite their differences in the past. And any woman would be lucky to have a friend willing to take a cleaver to her psychotic alien husband bent on exterminating humans and taking over the world. Night of the Undead may have been a deeply flawed film but it had some entertaining moments.

My favorite K drama

I’m just re-watching Healer for the second time. It’s my favorite K drama or at least in the top three. The story is terrific, would love to see more of the work by this screenwriter. The acting is wonderful and the music is better than your average story.
Each one of the 20 episodes is interesting and moves. The story and the love relationship along exceptionally well. Someone commented that you shouldn’t be put off by the fact that it’s 10 years old. That makes me want to laugh since I’m over 60 and 10 years is relatively recent to me. I only discovered these K dramas about six months ago and I’ve already devoured at least 40 different series.
once again, I have to say that Healer is truly a stand out among these dramas.

Great Action

I loved the mix of action and storyline. Not once did I get aggravated with the characters. There was a good mix of fighting and building up the story. Even the back stories were interesting to me. Light, amusing and strong willed women

The series is very short and light with alot of amusing sides to it. My 2nd series of watching Jin Chen as the female lead. I have to say, her playing the strong minded / willed woman is indeed fitting. She really knows how to play that role extremely well. Storywise is very nice, not so long winded and sweet. Like always, there are a few moments / parts where you just face palm and there are moments where you just melt. The 2nd female lead is also rather annoying and childish. But then again, if you are someone who never really need to work much to get what you want, I guess you are also ending up spoilt and annoying - especially when things don't go your way. The songs are paired quite nicely for this series, love them.

Personally, it is a very nice first watch, however... I can't really speak for the rewatch. I guess it will depend on individual, if you actually love the show from beginning to the end and if you think it is worth to binge again.
