So sweet you could get a toothache but they have that covered too...

If you are going to confess to your 8 year crush/best friend , nothing beats the romance of the mouth wash... or is it toothpaste?

This is a cute and fluffy commercial that is so sweet it would give you a toothache if it hadn't been for all the mouth wash and tooth paste in it.

Seo Kang Joon is the main attraction, and while it is not his best work (what do you expect it is a commercial), je does shine in pastel. the first two episodes of the commercial/drama are there to have us guessing who of the three best friends are his long time crush, and the answer may actually surprise you. That sid it has some substance and a nice friends to lovers, friends who support each other theme between the tooth paste fluff... Making me smile, and all happy inside.

So this is basically a sweet fluffer between stuff, a palate cleaner that may make you smile but if you do not like pastels, cliches or friends to lovers you should not even try to look at this... or wait you can also watch this if you love toothpaste, mouth wash and mouth spray...

Most of the score is there because Seo Kang Joons presence on screen... this is not high quality fluff... at all...

Short, Beautiful, and Heartwarming - 2 well spent hours

Simply amazing. We need these kinds of cute, beautiful, heartwarming, short dramas. Most Thai dramas are all about slap-kiss, BL, revenge, or some other cliche type of story. This drama was a breath of fresh air among those dramas.

I was watching a few lakorns, and suddenly found this. Only 6 episodes, 25 minutes per episode. If you skip the intro and ending credits, then only 20 minutes. So in total about 120 minutes. And I must say, it was well spent 120 minutes for sure.

Story: A short and cute story. There were some climax moments, but nothing too big. Overall, a very lighthearted story. As the drama was short, the story was straightforward. There was no extra time spent on anything, and I like this aspect of the story. Overall a well-written story and the viewers will like it for sure.

Acting/Cast: FL was the highlight of this drama. I liked her so much. She looked stunning and her acting was just perfect for that role. ML was handsome enough and did very well in his role too. The chemistry between ML and FL was simply amazing. The drama was very short and it covered only the story of FL and ML. Other characters did not have that much screen time and they were just average, nothing special. Acting-wise, both FL and ML did amazing.

Music: Nothing special on BGM. The drama was short but had its own OST's. I don't understand Thai, but the soundtrack seemed good to me.

Rewatch value: It's a short drama, only about 2 hours' time. You can rewatch it if you have nothing to do or feel like watching a short lighthearted enjoyable drama.

Ratings: My rating is 9/10. I wanted to give it more because I liked it too much. But gave it only 9. I think that's the fair rating for this drama. MDL rating is showing 7.8. Which is a very low rating and I believe, this rating is not fair for this drama. I hope the viewers will not be affected by the rating and give this drama a chance. It will be a very good and enjoyable watch for them.

My only wish is, there was an episode 7 where we could see more sweet moments with the leads and what lies in the future for them.

Interesting drama special about crime psychology

The drama revolves a lot around the question of how to tell whether someone is lying or telling the truth. This makes it interesting and fresh. There's also a murder plot as the female leads mother has gone missing in her childhood and her father has been suspected of murder. The family theme is well intertwined with the crime psychology thread.

The father actor is particularly great. All in all this is a good and worthwhile drama to watch. It's not a gamechanging drama, but if like me you are tired of the whodunnit murder mysteries, the focus on psychology makes it different. It offers some food for thought, as the message is that not all lies and lying are necessarily bad. Sometimes lies are meant to avoid hurting other people unnecessarily. The drama has a very satisfactory ending leaving watchers with good feelings.

One of the worst female leads ever

What in the fresh hell is this and who tf thought having a FL who was afraid of her own shadow would be good drama? My heart hurts from having to self-flagellate since I kept watching episode after episode even though I knew nothing would change. The FL would still be a walk over and the ML would still be a dreadful, verbally abusive jerk. It's kinda shocking that this series is just 7 yrs old because the story is dated and unrealistic, and no woman born north of the year 1990 would put up with all the crap that was thrown at the FL by what seemed like all the female characters in the drama.

Next, what's with the ridiculous hairstyles of both leads? Wallace looked old and Tang's head and body looked like a mushroom cap and stalk respectively.

Update: I understand the movie adaptation (You Are My Sunshine) starring Yang Mi and Huang Xiao Ming is much better than this series.

Slow but realistic and overall nice

The show at the beginning is very cute and you have some sense of what the main characters feel for each other and it goes back and forth of them getting jealous for a while because they know they can't do anything about their feelings in their current situation especially when one of them has a secret boyfriend. After the two flee because of family complications and they go to the hotel where we see more of their relationship become official and no, the one with a secret boyfriend is not cheating because they unofficially and officially broke up with each other if that makes sense. Even if they gave the two characters the same type of jealousy role back and forth in the beginning they add wholesome moments between the two and
give information that will later set up the plot you just have to get past the first five episodes for all the gears to move. And just a side note about the soundtrack but please tell me i'm not the only one who hears an instrumental of Noel in the background that absolutely kills the serious mood that the actors are trying to play out and why have I heard it in other bl's for example till the world ends during the same sort of situation.

Great first half, boring second half

This is my first kdrama review ever, so please don't judge my words too harshly hehe.
Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of this drama. The acting, the humor, the cast chemistry were good enough to entertain and made me not think about various plot holes and romcom cliches. I even LOLed at a couple of moments.

However, it kind of went downhill in the second half. The writing got lazy and the predictability of the plot was almost annoying; the FL seemed to have lost most of her personality. Most of the episodes seemed like a filler, and the major conflicts introduced in the second half just felt very artificial. I think the drama could have wrapped up sooner if it didn't try to get all serious towards the end and would have still been just as good, if not better.

Overall, unless you are a huge fan of romcom/romantic kdramas, my suggestion would be to skip it.

Realistic Wuxia drama-don't expect happy ending because there is no happy ending in life also

The most realistic wuxia drama because the cast is not heavily with makeup

need to watch each so that you can understand the secret lies between each character
From beginning to end the plot rises in each episode from the first meeting till the last episode
If you expect a happily ever after story just don't watch this story
This story is so realistic there is no happy ending it's just the way how we move on with our life
AT first, i thought they will not go deep down into Mioa renfeng live but this show has another story plot for miao renfeng
which i hated the most her wife the most selfish human being
How can she just go back Miao renfeng and want to live again with her ex-husband after she betrays her ?
She just wants to perfect husband and wife relay in Miao Renfeng but he couldn't give up and suddenly have heart changes. So so so shellfish
After she can't conceive suddenly she remembers Miao.
But badass Miao just doesn't care after she leaves he still feels hurtful but for martial arts, they need to have a brazen heart and come back to take her child, which is what you can know he is a really responsible father and wants to leave martial arts but he so many enemies that why he can't leave martial arts so sudden.

For Hu fei and Zi yi love story i think is the most realistic one, from the very first moment she really appreciates Fei in her from the moment she dragged Fei body and the moment she prays sincerely to buddha to heal Fei you can know she really loves Fei. Because she already tagged with Tianshan Sect which practices Buddha way, she cants go back to Fei
It is really sad when the last moment she becomes a nun crying and the last moment she sees Fei before going back to her sect.

Really sad that most of the characters have died because want to save their loved ones,
If you really look into this drama deep down you can see that they have their own value

Please watch this drama even though they do not have any popular ML or FL but each character is portrayed really well

The last realistic wuxia drama that I watch The legend of condor heroes that has Liu yifei in it
after that most of the wuxia drama mostly ML and FL is heavily make-up and dyeing their hair which is obviously really ridiculous

Impossible police movie

Impossible police movie why...? Because it's really miracle if you get into special forces into police department just by being a hero & all the reporter happen to ask if you would get into police forces or not & the mayor just agreed by it. But still it's become one good dream that this movie sold. Haha...

Oh Gyun Shik became police by pure luck & coincidence. That's why all the superior & senior in the police forces don't know what to do with him. And by suggestion by one of the leader he become first ever police intern. But Gyun Shik didn't take the job for granted & did it with all his heart. Maybe that's why God (and of course our writer) give him opportunity & talent to do the job well & got acknowledged by his colleagues. Even his direct boss, that at first really want to 'kick' his out, become his supporter & fight for his position in police force.

Overall this one good Detective movie...

ITS SO WHOLESOME

This is my first time commenting on mdl, since I love the series so much so I decided to just post my take on it. It's going to contain very little spoiler on their characters, but I think its safe to read if you need a push to start watching it.

I am pleasantly surprised to have such a strong attachment to this series. It started pretty childishly at first, and it took me 3 episodes to actually find myself getting interested in the progress of the story. But it got so MUCH better after about 2-3 episodes in if an overdone romcom is really to your taste. Noey is a high schooler here, and I think he would be about 17-18 yrs old, while Thi is his tutor (albeit unwillingly) and is in his third or fourth year in university, so I supposed they have 4-5 years gap.

I shared the same concern about the age gap in the series, and was a bit skeptical about how they would pull it off, if it's going to include problematic tropes, for instance, grooming. But it wasn't the case at all when Thi was actually a coward. He cowered a lot in front of Noey who always kinda bossing him around and Noey is actually a very narcissistic jerk. And the relationship between them was 98% led by Noey alone who pursued Thi in the end. Thi only opened up to him in the second half of the series but he never NEVER made a move on Noey inappropriately.

At the same time, there are some viewers who are displeased with the lack of enthusiasm or effort coming from Thi because it seemed that Noey was the only one who tried to make it work. But I couldn't be any more grateful for that. This series would have gone so wrong if Thi immediately entertained Noey's attempts. I feel like Thi is very conscious of where they stood, that it is wrong for him to reciprocate the feelings Noey have for him, and he is also confused I would say. So as much as it is disappointing that we couldnt see Thi giving more in this relationship, it is the best decision for them and there are still moments where Thi takes care of Noey, supporting him in his lessons, goes out of his way to protect Noey even if he's not so brave.

And I have to applaud for how slowly they developed feelings for each other. How it didn't just happen overnight. Noey only realized his feelings for Thi halfway in the series, and his romantic azz intensifies afterward lol. And it also left a lot of time for us to see their lovely moments before the series end. I couldnt stress enough how much I enjoyed it and the ending was perfect. Maybe some would say it's a little rushed, but I think they wrapped it well and gave us a good closure.

Lastly, this story is very red flag done green and i love it.

Simple, short & sweet

If you're looking for something light and funny, this series is for you. I don't expect much since it's low budget. The storyline makes sense and is easy to follow (even if you don't look at the subtitle all the time). There is a clear character development for both FL and ML (i.e. ML becomes more loving. FL becomes more independent). The main couple is cute and you can see the chemistry between them. All supporting characters are funny too. They have their own personalities and don't blend together.

The minus point is it does get quite cheese sometimes. The series tries to get as many kissing scenes as possible, to the point that feels quite forced. Also, I hope the 2nd couple gets more screen time :)

Love/Hate relationship

DISCLAIMER: My "reviews" are just my thoughts and feelings. I watch shows for entertainment only and can only write about hiw they make me feel.

I have a love/hate "relationship" with this series.

I did not write a review for S1 as I binged both seasons in 2 days and after watching S2 I didn't feel I would do justice to either season seperating them. I was into S2 before I even realized it the flow was so smooth.

First off if you don't like and violence and can't handle blood this series is definately not for you!

I hated this show because people frustrate me on a good day and watching them in these situations wants to make me scream. Yes I know it is fiction obviously but there is truth to the behaviours.

I loved this series for everything else. I fell into it hard. That was easy to do. The characters were believable, the story intense and I felt it to the depths of my emotions.

It needs to be watched on your good days though cause it will make your bad days worse.

I gave it a 7.5 for rewatch value for 2 reason; First because once you understand it all some of the appeal is gone. Second because it is intense and emotional I won't be rewatching it anytime soon.

I do recommend this overall. It is just so gripping if you can handle the violence and blood!

One of the best Kdramas on Netflix USA

The Beauty Inside is a must-watch Kdrama on Netflix. I highly recommend it because it is not just a feel-good movie, but one with heart and empathy.

The director and scriptwriter were brilliant in making the 1st and 2nd episode so entertaining that I wanted to watch the next episode as soon as I get off work. Lee Min-Ki is indeed a versatile actor. I hope JTBC will give him more TV projects. I would love to see him again in another rom-com Kdrama with Seo Hyun-jin. They played their characters so well that it's hard not to be emphatic with these two. These two characters made me laugh for days. Who didn't laugh when Han Se-Gye and Seo Do-Jae were sharing their unsuccessful and fake dates? Who didn't cry when Seo Do-Jae revealed his fears to Han Se-Gye at the hospital? Who didn't laugh when Seo Do-Jae took Han Se-Gye's mom shopping?

I hope this Kdrama will be watched by more Netflix subscribers so it will stay on Netflix forever.

what it means to love and be loved

while watching part 1 I kept thinking how much it reminded me of the story of minglan. lo and behold I come to find the author of the novel this drama is based on is the same as that of the story of minglan. so so if you liked that, you'll like this and vice versa.

that being said, this drama is a slice of life with a government plot line in a romance story. I say slice of life because its a really good view on what it meant to walk through life in the period the story takes place. as such it takes on a thicker overall tone compared to many other Chinese dramas.

this is only the first half of the drama, and it beautifully shows you these characters who - even if they aren't shown frequently - all clearly have a rich history in their life that have contributed to how they become as individuals. the overall theme is essentially love. both having it and the lack thereof; both giving it and withholding it.

the characters develope with every anecdote, every family crisis, and every national event and the changes are subtle but of have weight. what I appreciate is that even though the characters change and grow, they don't feel as though they have become different people - they are still very much themselves.

while our main character is "not like other girls" she is still clearly flawed. and no, not flawed because she's uneducated and basically illiterate. even with an education she would probably still be a trouble maker, as its clear she has a perfect blend of both her parents traits. it's a good contrast to minglan, who was docile and secretly a genius at scheming. niao niao is quite intelligent herself, but extremely outspoken and quite ill mannered.

yall just gotta watch this drama.

Even great for non math lovers!

Yes all that math goes over my head but the story is genuinely heart warming with so many likeable characters.

Best part for me is the Dad in both worlds (with or with out that rock star hair) & if you love father daughter relationships this will definitely be a must watch.
Ep 1-9 were most people's favorite episodes because the kid actors are so good & darling, worth rewatching.
Ep 28-34 picked up at the end for a nice ending and a hint of romance

Few flaws:
After EP 10:
Adult Lin Zhao Xi didn't have the same tenacity other than a few scenes.
Cheese world Pei Zhi wasn't happy as his father described so definitely they should've matched the characters a bit better.

Overall a great drama out of the ordinary and might help you reflect on life & relationships.

CDrama 101

All the typical tropes are there, from the beginning to the very end...cringy and cheesy lines etc. etc. School setting but their romance and friendships are quite mature compared to other shows, as in there is trust and communication between the lovers. Conflict resolves quickly. A good filler show, this feels as if this is a "practice show" for a new director. But surprisingly I did enjoy the characters and keep watching despite it being so predictable. Probably no rematch value unless you fancy any of the actors there.
