PLOT: Tine, a cute college student who thinks he's straight, is relentlessly pursued by Green, whom he avoids as much as possible. He ends up asking Sarawat, the college star and musician, to be his fake boyfriend, which Wat accepts to his great surprise. They bond, grow fonder of each other, and eventually become a real couple. Now they just have to get accepted by their friends, love rivals, and family...+++ Bright and Win are handsome, talented, and very cute... But also very chaste (only one or two fake kisses).
+++ The direction is a bit slow, but it's a good mix of romance, humor, and emotion.

Thrilling Revenge + Sweet Romance
First of all, I was not a big fan of historical dramas. But this drama changed it. I saw some shorts of it and became curious and watched the first episode. From the first episode itself the drama was amazing .the visual,the acting ,the story everything is 10/10I really liked the acting of both of the lead actors. The female lead was killin it.
I highly recommend this drama to who hasn't started watching historical drama.It is really good.

Fun to watch in the moment but easily forgettable!
"Perfect Crown" certainly hooks you with its intriguing premise, a delightful royal setting, and absolutely stunning visuals that make every frame feel like a painting. It’s like a modern fairy tale brought to life, brimming with glamour and charm. However, despite its captivating moments, it unfortunately lacks the lasting impact, fading from memory rather quickly after the credits roll, even though I enjoyed it while watching.The narrative centers on Song Huiju, a successful businesswoman of commoner status with aspirations to ascend the social ladder, leading her to propose a marriage to the Grand Prince. The drama unfolds in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy of Joseon, where gleaming skyscrapers coexist with age-old traditions, and royal glamour and titles are very much a part of daily life.
What truly shone in "Perfect Crown" was the female lead, Song Huiju. She’s portrayed as intelligent, ambitious, witty, and funny, yet with a vulnerability that makes her incredibly relatable. IU's comic timing is impeccable, and her character felt multi-dimensional, possessing a strong personality that you can't help but root for. Equally compelling was the second female lead, the widowed queen mother, brought to life by Gong Seongyun. As the antagonist determined to keep her young son on the throne, her performance was spot-on. She exuded a domineering aura and truly owned her role, making her a convincing and formidable presence. The opulent royal setting, the sheer glamour, and the exquisite aesthetics also deserve a special mention; the show is a feast for the eyes. The comedy, while not overdone, landed its punches effectively, and the supporting characters added a wonderful layer of humor. The chemistry between the leads, while not groundbreaking, felt compatible both in terms of personality and visuals, which successfully sold the romance. And let's not forget the OSTs – "Behind the Shine" by Riize was a particular standout.
Where "Perfect Crown" faltered for me was in its story development. There were stretches where it felt like the plot was meandering, to the point where one could skip several episodes and still easily catch up. This was especially true for the first six episodes, and while the climax was engaging, it felt somewhat out of place, making even those moments feel a bit skippable. The male lead, played by Byeon Woseok, is undeniably good at portraying lovelorn characters and possesses significant screen presence. However, his character, Ian, felt rather bland and predictable – the typical tragic prince. While he had moments to shine later on, I felt he could have been given a bit more personality to truly make the character memorable.
Overall it is watchable, fun and cute, great first half and lacking second half, if you want something cute to enjoy in the moment then I'd recommend.

The story talks about bullying, abusive teachers, classism, following dreams and choosing to not follow them,the idea of success, justice and so much more. I also think this is a love letter to art because our characters are Otakus and their love for art is transferred through the screen.
Despite all of these serious topics, it never feels preachy. It's got it's heart in the right place.
The mystery was really interesting till the ending. I absolutely LOVED how everything was tied together by the end. Oh also,I'm in love Matilda.

Mediocre
This drama was ok to watch, but it wasn't great. The visuals and music were good. But the story needed to be less rushed, it had so much potential that they didn't use.... It was a story that needed a lot more time to show more depth in each relationship. Such a shame, because the story was actually good.The main couple did a good job at acting, but the rest wasn't great. None of the couples had much chemistry.

The storyline is strong, the characters are layered
The title of this short drama doesn’t really prepare you for what you’re about to watch. From beginning to end, it’s gripping—every scene pulls you in, and every actor plays their role in a way that makes the story feel raw and real.The male lead is ruthless—cold, calculating, and willing to do whatever it takes to survive in a world built on power and betrayal. But beneath that hardened exterior, there are cracks… especially when it comes to his son. That’s where you see the man behind the mask.
The female lead is driven by revenge. She believes her mother was killed, and at one point, she thinks she’s lost her child as well. Her past is tragic—her mother was a mistreated mistress in the general’s household, forced to live like a servant, and the female lead grew up under that same cruelty.
The general and his household are no better. His first wife is just as vicious, and their daughter proves just as manipulative—using the female lead as a substitute on the eve of her wedding so the prince regent wouldn’t discover her own scandal. That one decision sets everything in motion.
The female lead ends up with the prince regent and becomes pregnant with his child—something he doesn’t know for a long time.
As the story unfolds, the male lead begins to recover fragments of his memory and starts to question everything, including the woman he married. From that point on, his behavior changes—he treats her with care in public, but keeps his distance in private, creating a tension that quietly builds between them.
Meanwhile, the female lead moves forward with her revenge. One by one, she brings down those who destroyed her life—her father, stepmother, sister, and cousin. Each downfall is deliberate, calculated… and earned.
But her path doesn’t stop there.
She also becomes an ally to the prince regent, helping him carry out his own revenge—especially against the emperor’s mother, the true power behind the throne, who had his mother killed and cast aside in the cold palace.
In the end, the male lead makes one final move—he fakes his death. Before disappearing, he acknowledges the truth: that the female lead is the real force behind bringing justice to the empire, exposing the corruption of both the emperor’s mother and the powerful generals.
The ending is quietly satisfying.
The female lead leaves it all behind, moving to a border town with her son. There, she finds peace—and the prince regent, now living a simple life as a teacher. Together, they build something far removed from the chaos they once survived.
Overall, this drama is beautifully put together. The storyline is strong, the characters are layered, and the direction captures each moment with clarity and purpose. Nothing feels wasted—and that’s what makes it so easy to stay hooked until the very end.

They should have just talked and communicated
The story is very shallow and teaches some lessons on friendships that sometimes your friends dont give the best advice. What i didnt like about this show was the fact that so many misunderstandings could have been avoided if shu yi was just honest and she didnt listen to her friend. , I do love the chemistry from the actors! The story shows the ups and downs of their relationship.
As my first Chinese movie, this movie holds a different place. When I finished watching it, my mind had many "whys." Among all the "whys," my favourite one was:
Why does she want a peaceful and quiet life, when the main male lead is ready to give her so much more?
The lead character's actions were not understandable to me at that age. I like this movie because it made me think and question the behaviour of the characters, which was a good amount of fun to explore.
Only years later did I reach my conclusion.
She never asked for more. As a person, he is more than she wants to handle. She never wants something from him that she feels she can never repay. The love she was receiving felt far heavier than she could hold.
She loved his actions, more like his efforts than what he affords— As a person, the male lead is rich, hotheaded, and loves her in every way he can.
He loved her in every way he could — but not in a way she could feel and understand.
She loves him, but not the same way he loves her.
In my opinion, the temple scene at the end is where she finally realised, felt, and understood his love and herself.
And that, to me, is what this movie quietly teaches — love is not only about giving and receiving. It is about understanding and feeling understood, seeing the other person without filters, and accepting them as they truly are

Some Love Stories Stay With U Forever
18×2 Beyond Youthful Days was honestly such a beautiful movie. I gave it 9/10 bcz it felt so real and soft at the same time. It’s not one of those loud love stories, it’s more quiet and emotional, but that’s what made it hit even harder.The whole journey felt nostalgic, like looking back at a memory u never wanted to lose. Jimmy and Ami had such natural chemistry and their scenes together were so simple but meaningful. Nothing felt forced. I liked how the movie showed that sometimes people come into ur life for a short time but still leave the biggest impact.
The cinematography was sooo pretty too, every place looked dreamy and peaceful. And the music made some scenes even sadder. There were moments where I was smiling and then suddenly feeling emotional for no reason.
I think what I loved most is that it didn’t try too hard. It was simple, slow and full of feelings. The ending really stayed in my mind after finishing it. Definitely one of those movies that makes u think abt old memories and people u miss.

Word of Honor Fans...
will discover a lot of similarities between the plot of these two dramas. Also The Untamed-Fans.However, it's a good little drama and you can enjoy it whether you have seen the other two or not.
Judging by the amount of locations, actors and wardrobe, I suspect a cheaper budget behind this. Nevertheless, it was scripted and acted out very good.

How badly I wanted to rate this a 10
Can I just pretend like the last 15min or so never happened? I won’t even watch the 5min extra episode just so that I can forget about what happened. I will just pretend like he when to war and time passes but he came back victorious and his 2 friends are alive. I will picture the future where they have kids and the kids call them uncle’s and bully them. idk if this make sense.One of the best dramas I have seen so far. The chemistry and even though it was predictable at times I didn’t get bored and wanted to keep watching.

Wasted potential
The first 6 episodes of this drama feel like a dream, like a bad dream from which you want to wake up.I love the world building, the costumes and watching again some of the best chines actors in play.
The trailer of the drama hyped us to expect something incredible, because we have same director who made "The Double".
I can't comment on how good the story is written and developed here because i would need more episodes (and I don't plan to torture myself with more) but from first episodes as viewer I have the feeling that there are things i should have known before watching it to make sense. I haven't read the novel or watched any old TV drama, who lays the foundation of "Rebirth" so I felt lost.
* Acting was horrible and I can't say if it is not the voice dubbing , how the scenes are shot or if some of the actors are indeed talentless. Zhang Kang Le is simply posing Infront of the camera, trying to deliver some emotions aside from his sex appeal. Many of the actors are talking straight to camera doing evil or mischievous faces or blank expression like the FL. The interaction between the characters feel too staged or forced as if they didn't have time to prepare with their lines.
*There were too many illogical things, which directly attack your IQ as viewer.
- First battle in the middle of the lake, our Zhuge Yue was fighting on pile of dead bodies of his soldiers with his few remaining men who were taking hits instead of him. I would understand if they were defending a narrowed passage, but in open field who gathered and stacked these bodies up and most important why? Because the director wanted to have cool scene where general is shot by arrow and falls down the pile of corpses ?
Then Yan Xun army shoot fire arrows, creating a perfect fire circle around the pile of dead bodies even though they never surrounded them and to end this amazing scene they shoot anchor type devices to destroy the ice sheet and sunk them on the bottom of the lake. Just turn off your brain, everything is fine.
-I know that the name of the series is "Rebirth" but which lows of nature need to take place for one of the main characters to die? Stabbed, beaten, sight loss, drowned several times under the ice lake..... everything leads to instant recovery because the next scene demands it. How can you feel as observer that any of these characters would be in a danger. There is no suspense or excitement watching this drama.
The production value looks high, I can't believe we see same director who created "The Double" bombing so hard here.

Great acting in this drama about two men in love
I had this drama in my watchlist since last year when I was fascinated with Huang Jing Zhou. Thank you to Jwells for finding new links. Watched it today and wow, this was a good watch.What I liked:
1. Acting - Amazing performances by the cast led by Zheng Feng & Huang Jing Zhou. They were great in their individual roles and as a pair. Wonderful chemistry. I could sense the tension and longing between their characters.
2. Dynamics - I'd say that there is love between them. Zhou Yi Li always affected by Shen Ji Xing's affections whether they were words or physical touches. ZYL and his gazes - always looking out for SJX.
3. SJX characterisation - I liked that he wore his heart on his sleeve. His arc was well-developed though I disliked when he hit ZYL at the start of the drama.
4. ZYL characterisation - He was the opposite of SJX. Gave off dark vibe & always concealed his feelings & thoughts related to SJX.
5. Supporting characters - I really liked Pei Ming for her care & thoughtfulness. She went above & beyond her duty as SJX's manager. I also liked Mu Si because he verbalise his thoughts and seemed to empathise with SJX.
6. Styling - I loved the contrasting styles between SJX & ZYL. ZYL always wore black, avant garde outfits like he was camera ready at any time. SJX wore a few white & light coloured pieces.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - FL's adopted mother was a psycho- controlling & possessive. It's creepy that she wanted SJX to herself like he was her lover.
2. Length - It was roughly 2 hours 42 minutes. I couldn't watch in one sitting - had to take breaks then re-watch.
