Unrealized potential
A story about a queer woman obsessed with her straight (?) best friend that leads nowhere because it didn't go all-out with the characters, their relationships with one another and their feelings about each other's actions. The drama had all the ingredients to do a Fatal Attraction type of story, but when it reached its peak, with the character of Kyoko going fully insane about Miho, it gave up and did a quick and ineffective redemption that left me wanting more. Equally unsuccessful was the relationship between Miho and Shintani, I can see the full picture of Miho consistently making concessions to the different ways Kyoko and Shintani caused her harm, but the drama never truly dealt with that characteristic, it just wrapped everything with a bow to give the story a happy ending that didn't make sense. For me there was no happy ending, there was a woman who ended up stuck in an unfavorable situation with a psychotic friend and a man who proved to be weak and uncaring.Cet avis était-il utile?

Questo è uno di quei drama che si classificano perfettamente nella mediocrità: non abbastanza brutto da abbandonarlo con insofferenza, ma nemmeno abbastanza bello da consigliarlo con entusiasmo. Buoni gli spunti che fanno da premessa iniziale: un ambiente universitario nei primi anni 2000, un’atmosfera nostalgica, l'attesa dello slow burn e la promessa di un amore che sboccia tra due ragazzi apparentemente opposti. Purtroppo, la realizzazione si ferma costantemente a metà percorso, senza raggiungere mai il traguardo preventivato.Il punto di forza indiscusso è la chimica tra i due protagonisti, per cui si intravede quel potenziale capace di far scaldare il cuore agli spettatori più fedeli al genere . Tuttavia il copione non fornisce loro un supporto sufficiente: la storia, nella sua semplicità, scivola spesso verso luoghi comuni e banali. E finisce quindi che i due giovani sperimentano la confusione dei sentimenti in un clima fin troppo idilliaco, quasi asettico, che mal si sposa con l’epoca storica in cui è ambientato il drama, rendendo tutto innaturalmente semplice.
Il ritmo è un altro tasto dolente: si procede con una lentezza esasperante che rischia di far perdere la pazienza, per poi veder risolvere i nodi cruciali in modo affrettato e poco credibile negli episodi finali.
A ciò si aggiungono alcuni difetti tecnici che minano costantemente il coinvolgimento dello spettatore e la sua immersione nella storia: il doppiaggio, in particolare, è talvolta un elemento quasi di disturbo, con dialoghi che sembrano sussurrati e poco naturali. La colonna sonora è anonima, la cura per i dettagli non sempre all’altezza, i costumi spesso anacronistici. Il risultato è un prodotto che appare inferiore ad altre produzioni dello stesso genere, anche a budget simili.
Altra carta che ci si è giocati proprio male è quella dei personaggi secondari. Sebbene il pairing secondario doni una sferzata di energia, il suo sviluppo viene inspiegabilmente troncato, lasciando diversi fili narrativi in sospeso . Nel complesso, il drama guarda con insistenza al passato e alla purezza dei sentimenti adolescenziali, ma non ha la forza di essere veramente incisivo.
Verdetto: “Feel what you feel” si lascia guardare senza troppa fatica, e per chi è un amante incallito del genere può rappresentare una visione "passatempo", che può starci. Tuttavia non lascia davvero alcun segno. È un prodotto che esiste, si vede, ma di cui si potrebbe fare tranquillamente a meno.

Not very good
This drama wasn't very good. The story was ok, but had some strange moments in it. For example him just opening the door while there is a stalker out there.That confrontation with his brother in his house, they were not close, but suddenly the brother and manager are in his house without ringing the doorbel or knocking?
The acting wasn't very good, the brother was the only actor that really did a good job.
There was no chemistry between the mains, at least the kiss was good.

Yes, most serial killers and criminals were once victimized children, often harmed by their own parents. The series is definitely worth watching. I love detective stories — this is exactly the kind where you seem to know who’s guilty and who isn’t, but you stay on edge until the very end, constantly asking: why? What’s the connection? Dynamic, engaging, and never boring. I read that many people think the first season is the strongest, but I disagree. The best thing the directors did was not simply continue the same story — each season is unique and completely different from the previous one.Cet avis était-il utile?
Must Watch!
I’ve never watched a Thai BL series before, and this is my first one. I just saw the preview, and I immediately loved it. I’m really impressed with Net and JJ’s chemistry, along with Latte and Kim, of course. This series is so fun to watch, and I can’t help but fall in love with the cast. I wish it were always Friday so I could watch a new episode. I’ll definitely miss this when it ends.Cet avis était-il utile?
10/10 A underrated masterpiece
I've watched a great deal of cinema recently, yet very little has held my attention as completely as the tv_show Straight to Hell did. What makes the series so compelling is not simply its narrative unpredictability, but the precision of its rhythm. Scenes unfold with a kind of restless fluidity, constantly shifting between tension, irony, and emotional unease without ever losing momentum. There is a confidence in the pacing that feels almost musical, allowing moments to breathe just long enough before destabilising them again.The performances are equally striking. Rather than relying on overt dramatics, the acting feels deeply embodied and instinctive, as though each character exists slightly beyond the frame of the script itself. Much of the series' intensity comes from this subtle control. The way silence, hesitation, or a fleeting expression often communicate more than dialogue creates an atmosphere where even ordinary interactions feel charged with something unpredictable beneath the surface.
What surprised me most about Straight to Hell is how carefully constructed it feels emotionally and aesthetically.
In an era where many productions appear manufactured for immediacy, this series carries the texture of something genuinely crafted, a work shaped by patience, artistic clarity, and evident affection for the medium itself. You can feel the presence of people who were not simply producing content, but building a world with intention, passion, and trust in the audience's attention.

Disaster
Main actor(the boss) is just ugly, can they choose someone little more apeasing? I support LGBT but this is not the show i want to watch. 10/10 Beautiful Historic Drama Based on Actual FactI love, love, love this drama. I rate it up there with Goblin and Eternal Love. It is a masterpiece and the cast is one of the best l've seen in a very long time. Everything about it is on point. The two talented leads set the pace and the supporting cast made it all credible. The storyline was accurate, the cinematography great, the writing is to be commended, the direction and production were good too.
It is an emotional story so you may find yourself in tears at some juncture, and laughing at other times. The ending is almost sacred. I found myself crying uncontrollably at the finale. All in all, Red Sleeves is everything you could possibly hope for in a well-written, acted and produced drama. Kudos to all. Please watch this drama. It's really worth it!

First Impression: Double Helix
Overall: I'm a bit leery of the dynamic, rating could change quite a bit in either direction depending on characters/plot. 12 episodes about 40 minutes each. I have not read the book this series is based on, I have watched the two one hour movies from 2016 (A Round Trip to Love) but will try to review the series based on its own merits.Content Warnings: there are several, I'm keeping this spoiler free for now

Room For Improvement
- the wealthy/powerful aggressive pursuer and the not wealthy/not powerful reluctant pursuee dynamic didn't work for me because the pursuee felt more like an abuse victim most of the time
- characters were a bit stupid to realize that there could have been family interference
- it's a shame the sweet moments were mainly montage, wish that would have been longer so I could root more for their romance, really hope this isn't going to be 10 episodes of abuse and then HEA in the last 10 minutes of episode 12
Question: I'm not sure when this is supposed to take place. I saw landlines but also iPhones (first created in 2007). If it's set a couple decades ago, then the other students freaking out at school would make a bit more sense because I can't see that happening now.

ending drakor tersampah yang pernah gua tonton. kesel bgt sama penulisnya kok bisa kepikiran bikin akhir seburuk ini padahal dari episode 1-10 bagus bgt. bener2 ga abis pikir sama konflik konflik yang muncul setelah eps 10, terutama woo sik yg tiba2 mati itu menurut gw ga diperlukan bgt ditambah alasan gyeong do sama ji woo putus yang walaupun gua ngerti tapi tetep aja ga makesense buat gw. padahal suka bgt sama vibes dari drama ini + ni drama lebih banyak adegan peluk daripada kisseu yang gua personally sangat suka dan tidak menemukannya di drakor lain. kayanya emang penyakit melodrama romance kek gini dah kaga encounter, sitr, doona dll selalu jelek akhir padahal episode awal bagusnya tuh bagus bgt yg kita baru pertama kali liat drama sebagus ini eh akhirnya malah dikecewain bgt.Cet avis était-il utile?

MASSIVELY inaccurate, though worth watching
MASSIVELY inaccurate on many historical setting details and plot events, and yet surely deserves to be watched because it is a rare setting for a BL, indeed.However, not the uncut, but regular version where the storytelling is tighter, not dragged. I normally would suggest the opposite for series where its uncut version adds lots of fanservice with more play between the characters, but here it is not that at all.

- there were a ton of characters/plot introduced and it was a bit confusing, but I figured out the main characters/plot fairly quickly
- that mom looked like a sibling
- some characters were kind of stupid to believe other things, knowing how dangerous their situation was, the emperor was stupid since he seemed to have 7 sons (at least 2 of which had died) and also didn't seem to realize how dangerous his situation was (the prince accurately called this out in episode 7)
- the writers could have been a bit more clear at the end of episode 8 (spoiler for the ending in my comment)

Wishing it made sense
Obviously they have season 2 planned for this. I already know I won't watch it. It is a short series but still felt like it dragged on. I usually like this genre but this did not work for me. It felt like it was put together haphazardly and there were moments I was bored because it was not making sense at all and I just couldn't care for any of the characters. This short drama was ok to watch. It isn't a complicated story and it was executed well.The visuals were beautiful and the music good.
The acting was good and the kiss was good.
