Perfetto per gli amanti del genere ma poteva essere di più

Premetto che il drama mi è piaciuto molto e lo trovo perfetto per chi ama il genere romantico.
Ho trovato stupendi i due protagonisti. Ottima interpretazione e chimica e secondo me anche la loro storia e caratterizzazione era davvero coinvolgente e diversa dal solito. In realtà è un drama molto classico, con dinamiche viste e riviste, questa è la cosa che critico di più, ed ecco perché il voto non troppo alto... ma i due protagonisti non cadono tanto nel cliché magari alcune dinamiche si ma poi vengono ribaltate. Ad esempio lei ha carattere, prende spesso l'iniziativa, c'è dialogo e lui non ha atteggiamenti tossici che a volte presentano i protagonisti in questo tipo di storie.
I due protagonisti secondo me sono quelli che reggono tutto il drama, proprio perché sono bellissimi e non puoi farne a meno di vedere come va avanti la loro storia o semplicemente vederli insieme, però il resto è molto banale ed è questo che mi ha deluso parecchio. La dinamica familiare è banalissima con tutti quegli intrighi, sono cose che ho visto in tantissimi drama e non solo, sinceramente sono stanca e ormai sono dinamiche che personalmente non mi piacciono molto se gestite così. Gli ultimi episodi poi hanno tutto quel dramma sempre banale e prevedibile e anche per me surreale che mi hanno fatto storcere molto il naso.
L'elemento più originale del drama è il gioco, bellissime scene dal punto di vista della regia e anche ben scritte secondo me, ed è un peccato che non l'hanno sfruttato molto come tematica nella trama.
C'è anche una storia secondaria con la migliore amica della protagonista, molto interessante e matura ma secondo me verso la fine potevano gestirla meglio, perché alcuni passaggi li ho trovati affrettati ma è stato bello vedere qualcosa di diverso e realistico.
Concludo spendendo due parole per la regia che secondo me ha fatto un ottimo lavoro, soprattuto come ho già detto nelle scene del gioco.
Un drama che comunque ho apprezzato, mi ha tenuto incollata allo schermo è molto coinvolgente e che mi sento di consigliare soprattutto se amate il genere probabilmente vi piacerà.

The best drama in my 20 years of watching any drama!!!!!

Whats not to like. Story - good, plot twist - good, cast - gooooood.
You really need to sit down and watch everything (but thats what you really need to do when you watch anything) to know and understand all the plot of the drama. You need to have braincells to really watch this drama, because the plot and execution is intricately woven and detailed oriented, so if you miss something you would be confused. thats the beauty of art, is not it? to comprehend and marvel at its intricacies and depth. MASTERPIECE! this drama really made me use my brain, researching skills and shed so many tears, but worth it. If i was given a chance to turn back time and choose if i should watch this or not, i will always choose to watch (this drama made me this dramatic). Also, i have been watching dramas, movies for decades now, but the story lines becomes repetitive and predictable, somehow with this drama, i could not predict anything - which made me intrique and kept me wanting and waiting eagerly for the next episodes to drop, one by one. OVERALL -best drama imo!!!!!

Had Potential, Lacked Heart

I stuck with this drama hoping it would eventually click, but it never quite did for me. On paper, it has everything going for it strong actors, good production, and an interesting concept but somehow the emotional core just felt… missing. The love story, which should have been the heart of it, never fully convinced me. It felt more like the characters were acting out emotions rather than truly feeling them, which made it hard to stay invested.

There are definitely things the drama does well. The concept of a virtual world is intriguing and had a lot of potential. Visually, it’s very appealing the costumes are beautiful, styling and makeup are well done, and the cinematography adds to that polished look. Both leads are attractive and share decent chemistry, and the acting overall is solid. I also appreciated the absence of a messy love triangle and the fact that the male lead exists in the real world too, which added an interesting layer. The supporting cast did their job well, and while the romance was okay on the surface, it never really hit emotionally.

That said, the issues are hard to ignore. The pacing felt dull at times, and I often found myself bored. The biggest problem was the romance it just didn’t feel believable. The progression of their feelings, especially from the female lead’s side, felt sudden and underdeveloped, which made it difficult to connect with their relationship. Emotional scenes lacked impact despite the actors’ efforts, and I found myself feeling nothing when I should have felt something.

The beginning was also quite confusing. It throws you in without much context. Expectations played a role too I went in thinking this would be a deep, emotionally driven love story, but it didn’t live up to that.

The male lead’s possessive and almost obsessive behavior might work for some, but it didn’t fully land for me. I understood the intent behind his actions, but it still felt uncomfortable at times, even though there were moments where I genuinely felt bad for him.

And then there’s the ending. It follows that familiar vague format where you know they reunite, but it’s barely shown. No proper closure, no real interaction just a hint and cut to black. After everything, it felt underwhelming and a bit frustrating, especially since they had enough time to flesh it out properly.

Overall, it’s not a terrible drama. It has its strengths and is watchable if you’re just looking to pass time. But it never rises above average.

This is my first time writing a review.
let's be honest this drama forced. eto create an account just so i could rate it 10/10.i was here since the drama wrapped its filming and i was immediately obsessed with all those reuters i saw and GUESS WHAT THIS DRAMA DID NOT DISAPPOINT ME. IK to many ppl the story might come out as messy or too confusing but trust me you gotta push through a bit to get it.


Now for the characters

I'm in love with the bond of the two fox sisters, wish that was shown more but wtvr was shown has left a deep impression on me.

also too all the ppls who hates and underestimate my wife JU JINGYI, lol i better not see y'all rambling y'all nonsense opinion.

My godd i was nkt familiar with Tian Jiarui 's game cuz excuse me??? how can someone be do talented?? i need JJY AND TJR TO HAVE 5 MORE COLLABS FOR MY SANITY.

Essa serie contém gatilhos

Essa série aborda temas pesados, como o abuso sexual. Essa série mudou totalmente a minha forma de enxergar o mundo e as nossas leis. Eu passei alguns dias me questionando se já poderia ter acontecido algo parecido na vida real e a gente não estar ciente disso. Claro, não é novidade que com dinheiro e poder você pode ter tudo, mas não tinha passado na minha mente que algo assim poderia acontecer com apenas uma transferência de dinheiro. O protagonista literalmente foi injustiçado e sofreu a pena por algo que ele não fez apenas por causa que ele atendeu aquele telefone e o entregou de volta para o "dono". Assistir essa série me mudou como pessoa.

A MUST WATCH!! CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE LEADS IS FIRE!!

I loved it so much I finished this in 2 days. And this kinda pulled me out of the cdrama slump I was in with all these copy paste romance dramas these days.One of the best cdrama I have ever seen. From casting to acting to story line everything is perfect. I was bored watching cdrama these days cause it was always about fairytale romance. The chemistry and tension between the lead is so much that butterflies in my stomach didn't even stopped for a second. The acting done my them was so good that I got so obsessed and finished watching the drama in 3 days. Even though I have my exams😭😭. Nothing more to say just one thing- A MUST WATCH CDRAMA!! THE CHEMISTRY OF LEADS IS WHAT HOOKED ME TILL THE END

Vale á pena assistir.

Por mais que a china tenha tido muitos roteiros que tenham sido quase como "jogados fora" por serem muito curtos, eu digo que esse é o contrário. A série é realmente boa, você se prende bastante no início. porém, conforme a série vai avançando, começa á se focar somente no vilão. Foi um roteiro bom e ágil, realmente os 10 primeiros episódios foram incríveis e eu me senti muito feliz de assistir. É uma série boa para aqueles que gostam de séries que muda em cada episódio, porém tem aquele plot twist no final. eu não sou muito fã desse formato, talvez seja por isso que não gostei.

eu assisti essa série e não pude deixar de ficar bastante entediado em vários momentos. A história é boa, porém longa e eu me peguei distraído muitas vezes. Por mais que eu tenha dito que eu fiquei entendiado muitas vezes, a série ainda tem seu lado bom. Ela tem cenas que me deixaram muito focado, eu até mesmo me senti dentro da serie. Tem muitos momentos que são incríveis, eu não consegui ficar menos chocado com cenas que tinham de perseguição. É uma série boa para aqueles que gostam de políciais e de investigação, realmente é muito interessante mesmo.

The most charming Thai BL I've seen

First of all, I want to start this off by saying that I don't watch bl series that have anything else but very enthusiastic consent, and that includes one character being pursued by the other as well. So, when I started watching Duang With You, needless to say I was really put off by the first 2-3 episodes...
If you're like me, I'm begging you to watch on, those first episodes are very misleading. This show absolutely fulfills my requirement of enthusiastic consent.
I would go as far as to say that people who think Qin isn't into what Duang's doing are reading his character wrong - he shows his affectionate in a more subtle way, but the show explicitly says that Duang would stop pursuing him if that would make him uncomfortable, and Qin explicitly says that he is fine being purused by Duang.
So that's that. Duang is a little crazy, but he's not harrassing Qin and I am genuinely baffled by this reading of these characters.

Anyway, this show is insanely cute. I really loved all characters, but Duang's mannerisms and speech is especially charming.

And the sound effects!! I never thought I'd be praising the sound effect in a thai bl drama one day, as if anything they tend to be quite cringy, but in this one? Literal perfection. Whoever came up with those "pip pip pip pip Qiiin~" and "tee tee tee tee Duaaang~" jingles needs an award. Possibly multiple awards.

Uma série que muda toda hora

Essa série é boa para quem gosta de quando não se fixa apenas em algo, e sim, vai mudando conforme o tempo passa. Cada episodio se trata de um assunto diferente com o mesmo protagonista em diferentes momentos. Tem uma crítica forte em alguns episódios, que só entenderiam se assistissem e refletissem sobre. Não é uma perda de tempo assistir essa série afinal, além de curta é boa. do início ao fim a gente consegue ficar preso na série, em nenhum momento a gente se distrai ou então, fica entendiado por conta das novas histórias em cada episódio. Sou bastante fã desse formato de séries que mudam bastante conforme a série passa, e essa é uma das minhas séries favoritas por conta disso.

Eu gosto do Tan Zhen Hao e gostei de conhecer a atriz Tian Jiu Luo, eles formaram um ótimo casal contracenando juntos, seus figurinos eram bonitos, mas a maquiagem era excessiva, principalmente do Tan Zhen, o deixou com aparência de doente.
O drama tem muitos beijos, mas eram feios e curtos, principalmente no início, mesmo com os atores tendo muita sintonia juntos.
A história em si é aquela extremamente caótica, e o roteiro é um tanto quanto confuso (ou devo culpar as legendas?), é de vingança familiar no pós-renascimento. Confesso que por um longo período assistindo eu não estava entendendo de fato o que estava acontecendo em relação ao maldito pingente de jade kkkkkk Isso porque eu o assisti assim que lançou e reassisti ontem porque não estava na minha planilha de 2025.
O foco na personagem da FL foi completamente familiar, deixando sua carreira totalmente de lado e quando finalmente abordaram na história, senti que não fazia sentido nenhum kkkkk
Já o ML, aparentemente se apaixona a primeira vista pela FL e é extremamente protetor com ela, gosto de personagens assim.

Acho que a melhor cena foi quando ele explodiu dizendo que ela não poderia deixar os outros pisarem nela e a tornarem uma secundária. Sua irmã adotiva era irritante, assim como todo sua família.

JUST GO WATCH IT!!!

Okay so...I’ve never been able to sit through a Chinese drama without jumping ahead or fast-forwarding. Honestly, same with K-dramas. I can barely make it through five minutes. But very rarely, a drama or movie comes along that makes me savor every single moment. It makes me want to go back and rewatch episodes or replay certain scenes over and over because they give you that warm, fuzzy feeling, like actual butterflies in your stomach. That’s exactly what Pursuit of Jade has been delivering since day one. Pure butterflies 🦋

I have such a big crush on both the male and female leads. Usually I get more into the second couple, but not this time. Their love story was so toxic it was actually scary. It worried me how many people (looking at those IG memes) were genuinely turned on by it. Yikes 😬 Still, it stung a little at the end when the villain finally tried to put her above his own ego and waved the white flag.

The only parts that disappointed me were whenever they brought up his uncle and that 17 years ago betrayal. Those sections felt dampening and slow, but they weren’t a huge portion of the show so I won’t complain too much.

Could this series have been finished in 32 episodes? Yes. Was there some dragging in the middle? Definitely. But despite that, it’s still my second favorite Chinese drama after The Untamed!

It’s everything. All the female characters, Changyu, the second lead girl, the princess, even the side villain’s girl, they were all so BADASS 💪 And the OST ❤️❤️❤️ It would start... and I would just be glued to my TV like... AAAAAHHHHHH this is so romantic.

This was truly Changyu’s show. The male lead, no matter what title he held, was basically playing the supportive role that female characters usually get in action shows and movies. And I loved it ❤️

Okay...but I'm a girl so... let's talk about the Marquis of Wu'an 🤭🥰
Zhang Linghe played such a beautiful character, inside and out. He’s done a lot of period dramas, but none of them stood out like this. It’s not just his face (though that man is stunning and the wig was perfect). His acting felt so controlled and natural, the love, the pain, the dilemma, it all came through so effortlessly. The director did an amazing job with the timing and those close-up shots OMG!!! Like what do you mean he is sitting in a pig shed with light hitting his face at that perfect angle making his eyes look all pretty and his face all angelic like... damn! No wonder she went to war for you. 🤭

The script made him sooo understanding and never insecure about his wife being so awesome that she might outshine him. It would melt any girl's heart. He’s stronger overall, but it was funny how he kept getting injured every time and she would just rise to the occasion. He’d get hurt saving them, recover, and do it again. The way he treated his sister-in-law like his own daughter, how he wasn’t weird or jealous about her pig slaughter squad. He was so respectful of her autonomy without being boring. All of it together was pure magic ✨ And that's why I just love his character now and I'm gonna ask you guys to recommend another awesome show of his pleaseeee.

Something I can't sit through again was the ending. The ending felt a bit rushed though. What? No final fight with the villain? Just jumping off the building covered in blood and the other guy fainting? And the emperor, what a joke. But I can ignore all that because 80% of this show gave me nonstop butterflies and made me so proud of Changyu 🥹

I love this drama ❤️ that's it! :)
