messy at the end

At first, it was fun for 30 episodes. After that it became drama, drama2 and somehow romantic.
The story ends up easily at the end even they had good built up at first. The plot solving at the end was too easy and loosen.
Even the story was messy at the end, somehow I was quite addicted !! But I cannot rewatch this series. Actor and actress were shoulder of this series.

I don't really care about Ling Ling Qi's family at all, somehow its story was too long, but it somehow was important enough for Bo Hai to realize something.
bracelet has not much detailed at the end and they both really not talk seriously about it, so this fantasy is questionable and they even use it for clearing some problem or misunderstanding...

Good but underdeveloped romance

I really enjoyed this series. The cast was wonderful and production value solid. I think there was such good chemistry in the gangster friend group. I don't rewatch shows but for those who do, this wouldn't be a bad rewatch. My only issue, and pretty big one imo, is that the writers didn't develop Third and Khai's romantic relationship enough. Their friend relationship and the negative aspects of it were told well. I understood why they were friends. But I only understood why they should crossover to being more because GunOff have naturally good onscreen chemistry. But they weren't given enough solid romance to build the in-story romantic chemistry. So by the last episode, I felt underwhelmed by them as a couple. If they had incorporated more sexual tension/romantic chemistry into the story, it would have made Khai and Third's relationship better developed.

Tense fight or flight scenes to yearning romance

This brought me back to those historical kdramas I used to watch around 2016. Those ones that you get invested in the characters and story and it flows so well.
I think it has an interesting angle on war during this era from perspectives of royalty, invaders, civilians, women, scholars, soldiers. It can get so tense on some episodes and I love it lol. The fight and flight scenes are gripping to watch in themselves (forget the romance for a second).
The ML is such a cool guy and he knows many things with an unclear backstory (I guess we will see in season 2). FL comes off a bit arrogant to begin with but when the war comes she really proves herself, I guess she just needs to mature in terms of love and romance. Either way they have great chemistry. I would definitely recommend this drama for the action and the romance and everything in between.

What type of drama is this?

So basically its a very interesting drama that confuses everyone since the ML is shown as emotionless and it looks like he only wants to use the FL for his own gain so he can live. I could already guess that he isn't as bad as everyone thinks and as he shows. Later on in the story I do question the FL a lot because I didn't think the story would end like how it did, but it dies make sense and really shows the meaning to the saying that you only realise how much you love someone when they leave. If your worried about cliffhangers or worried that the drama will end without answering your questions then don't worry. It justifies the actions of the ML lead and as the story is revealed it leave no questions unanswered. This drama made me realise that the one who suffers from the beginning can suffer till death even if they are innocent. It doesn't matter how good your heart is, people will never know or understand you. I truly recommend this drama hope you can watch it ?

Ep 37 she finally wore flats!

I started watching this drama for Dai Xu. It's been so long since I've seen him in a good drama like Burning Ice or the Legends.

But this drama is about a gifted housekeeper who can walk in high heels anywhere.
High heels walking on grass
High heels walking in the country side
High heels pushing a wheelchair down the slope

The FL "gifted housekeeper" can fix apparently everyone's problems (other than her own). She's a psychiatrist, a nurse, a nanny all in one. Much of the drama lacks focus since it's about everyone else's stories and not really about her.
I keep watching this for sometime of development but it never really happened.

Honestly the basis of the story line isn't bad. Had they drama focused more on the slow burn development between the FL and the Man bun ML (who will grow on you) then the drama would've been more watchable.
Instead I had to skip through the filler lines and creepy 30+ year old calling "MOMMY" left and right. ...

Can't have the one you love, love the one you are with.

Generally, the so-called romance stories have little if anything that’s considered romance throughout the show. Here I can finally say we get to actually witness the love growing. It has other side stories that contribute to the plot as well, but nothing takes center stage over their growing love. There is action, family, trauma, wars, and much more. However, it still holds its weight as the main plot.

Is this the best series to date? No, but it's the best script-turn series I have seen in a very long time. I have been watching these dramas as well, for two decades, and I can honestly say it's a gem. I would give it 4.2/5 on a 5-star scale and anything less than that would not be fitting.

I am a romance buff so I am very particular about my love stories. Their unknowing love faces challenges and setbacks like no other. You wouldn’t want to miss this ride.

The leads are great and so are the support actors. No one is overacting or failing to meet the expectations set by the viewers. It's pleasantly heartwarming even in the midst of a war.

You will definitely enjoy this one.

Happy viewing

BEST HISTO FANTASY EVER

When i saw reviews with 1 or 2 stars , I really gritted my teeth. How can we miss a benevolent drama, with breathtaking ost and visuals, a great casting and a great story from beginning to end. Are you blind?

This drama is unique. The only one like this. I loved the chemistry , visuals, ost, story , art, everything. I enjoyed every screen moment because the actors give me butterflies and happiness . I cant understand the bad reviews . I think a lot of people need repair their heart. It’s a cute story with dark fantasy added

My stomach hurts from laughing

I am not going to give too much away, I came because I love Yang Yang and I have a soft spot for David Wang and Nicky Wu.. but OMG, after seeing this, I adore them all, I can say with absolute confidence, that you won't regret watching this series, Its the only program I have ever seen that made me cry ( though my besties said, crying from laughing probably doesn't count) Hu Jun and Yang Yang as the captains was superb. It does showcase the differences in generations, and it also shows both sides respecting the other team , But the best part was the improvisation of David Wang, he NEVER failed to make me laugh every episode. Out of all of them , and that includes my beloved Yang Yang, he is the one I would want at my dinner table, His take on the rules of different games was spectacular, and he thought so far out of the box.. Watch it, I am off to see Season 2, although I see the Younger brothers team are all new and they have replaced 2 of the older brothers team

too bad

It was an interesting supernatural premise and I agree the editing and direction were sub par...almost amateurish. There isn't much chemistry between the leads and the celeb was so lackluster in his energy, dull, trite facial expressions and plodding ways it was hard to imagine him being an international celebrity. If you have hours to kill and nothing else to watch it will slowly pass the time.
If you want to watch something fun, well acted, finely directed, paced with great visuals and chemistry and a supernatural element check out MARRY MY DEAD BODY. Show what you can do with talent and imagination

Drama promotes human trafficking

After the first two episodes, the ML has proven to be a stalkersince he went snooping around the FL's house, thief for taking and breaking into her cellphone, and human trafficker. They actually show him threatening the FL to force her to travel across districts with him so she can please another businessman and he confiscates her luggage, money, and ID so she cannot run off. Under no circumstances is that okay and it is irresponsible to even suggest that this is even the slightest bit endearing.

The FL has already shown that she is willing to retire and disappear at the slightest inconvenience so I don't believe any of the reasons for her to stay and keep being coerced. The third episode did not end with him in handcuffs and so I'm off this ride.

This series tested my patience step by step

I initially enjoyed Ben's character "Pat". I thought he was cute and his weirded-out faces made my day and night. But as the series progressed, I realized it was one of probably four expressions he was capable of and it got annoying really fast. I loved Pat's friendship with Ae, Prem, and Nan. But once Chot was introduced, Nan, Ae, and Prem took a hard backseat. I love Chot, but not as much as Ae and Nan.

I thought Man did an awesome job as Mr. Jeng, although I personally did not like Mr. Jeng. I thought that the character itself for 10 episodes was lacking. Man himself is attractive but Mr. Jeng has little to no charisma.

When I discovered this show in June, I thought there were only 10 episodes (I didn't care to read the # of episodes obviously and it was still airing) so when I got to episode eight, I was a bit interested in how it'll end in the two remaining episodes. But once I found out that I had not two but four more episodes to go, I was bummed. It was then, middle of ep 10 that I decided to drop this show because it was becoming too much; a real hassle to sit and/or skim through.

In the scene where Ae gives birth (clearly as an Ae biased), I was frustrated with its execution. It was cringe, strange, and illogical. Openly recording someone, a stranger at that, giving birth and crying out in pain rather than helping her, calling the police/ambulance, or telling her everything would be okay were standard expectations but the majority didn't do any of those! Even the police who showed up did squat (why is the Thai union always depicted as useless in these films?). I'm sure the older women who were giving Ae disgusted looks had given birth themselves so for no one but a medical student to step in while everyone else recorded or judged was sooo so stupid. And wtf was Pat's problem??? This is his best friend going into labor in the middle of a street and he couldn't do one thing to comfort her. I understand he freaked but given how close they are and Ae's protectiveness of him, I thought he'd at least got her back. I hated Pat so much that I wanted Put to get away from him so when they broke up, I was so happy and I didn't even like Put. Not until Pat left Put and went and got drunk instead.

It really took me three months to try and get through this series but I refuse to watch another disgusted/worried/weirded out face of Pat's again.

And don't get me started on Jaab. He only existed for aesthetics. I was so mad it took him a lifetime to comfort Mr. Jeng when the usually stoic guy unexpectedly broke down ugly crying. For 10 episodes, except being told that they're brothers, a very small handful of their interactions actually felt like authentic brotherly bonds.

Normally extras are just that, extra bodies in the background. But eventually, I was so bored with the main characters that I found myself scrutinizing for extras' interactions and expressions. It was funny as it seemed like they were told 'you guys can look in the same direction but no talking, don't even act like you're having a conversation'. The scene where Jeng and Pat were out trying restaurants was especially comical because they played a soundtrack where people were chatting and dining but the extras in the background were either on their phones or not looking at each other. Either way, this was a drop and I may or may not finish the last two episodes someday but I doubt they'll be missed...

Bad ending

Great beginning and middle but last 3/4 was so draggy. Just dragged and dragged.

This could easily just be 16 or 20 episodes at the most.

Great acting. Great tension and music.

But the ending... How in the world did they decide on that ending? That young woman decided to go through with reporting it to the police instead of forever living in a life of luxury with her parents and what did she get in the end?

She became a cripple. The courts awarded her 1 yuan. She lost all her friends and her reputation for smeared. Her parents lost all face and reputation. The lawyer who helped her lost her license.

It is a joke. If anyone thought this was better than option 1, they are nuts. It was simply 10 minutes of bad sex at a hotel. And somehow because of that idiotic boy who is a idealistic moron with zero real world experience and gets her to somehow think that 10 minutes of bad sex can never be erased and forgotten and she deserves some justice for it. And as soon as things turn to shit, that same idealistic moron turns and hides behind his parents blanket.

Someone should really have knocked some sense into that young woman. She received all those gifts and so many chances to not even be put into this situation and so many chances to have a good life with her parents despite everything and somehow she was made to think that 10 minutes of bad sex is the most important event in her life.

If the CEO was an absolute monster or pure evil, then YES! Do everything to bury him. But he seems like a rich arrogant powerful bastard like many male leads in C dramas and I don't think he is a predator by any means and he got some wrong signals from her and is an asshole. But nowhere near evil or predator and he is someone that warranted to make a deal with and he gave her a real offer.

To me, everyone who did the most damages got off with no repercussions. The dad who physically assaulted her with huge slap. The idiotic boy who screwed up her life with idealistic bad advice. The police woman who wouldn't just let case go despite no real evidence. The body guard who called the media to make life hell for them when he could have just called the police. The PR woman who released her identity to social media. The gossipers in their building who tried to KILL them with bricks through their window. These people did so much worse than the main male lead. So much worse than 10 minutes of bad sex.

I guess maybe it is the real world.

Maybe the show is letting us know that we should be careful of idealistic morons and take the deal if it's a good deal!

Definitely a worthy watch

My two favorite actor and actress together.

Definitely met my expectations.

Both FL and ML were awesome. The storyline kept me engaged and didn’t drag. I think the writers did a really good job with the character development.

As for the FL and ML, great combination. Great chemistry between them. She’s a strong and mature woman but also not over bearing. She portrayed very well by Zhao Lusi that she strong, compassionate and no nonsense lady. ML also did great and well portrayed by Yang Yang. He’s arrogant but is not afraid to be tamed by FL.

For me, it’s a semi-sad ending because they only had 10 year together.

Couldn’t finish it

I enjoy slow development of romance as that’s more realistic. However, not sure how people can rate this so high.

ML did great and I seen other of his series and I think he did the best he could in this series. FL was annoying with her child-like acting. The child-like pouting and voice was over the top. It got more and more annoying each episode to a point where she looks like a dump and ignorant. I just don’t understand how people can think it’s cute. Some part where it’s supposed to be funny and cute, instead you’re thinking is the girl really that stupid. Storyline wasn’t great but wasn’t bad. I think pushing the child-like FL lasted too long for me.

Music was good. Overall, I think it could be a better series if I didn’t get so annoyed with FL acting. Please directors, stop with the overacting of child-like characters.

Its very heart warming

I watched the whole show in like two days, it gets you attached, and you just can't seem to stop watching, I love the acting it's just so good and the relationship are amazing. You will definitely cry over the show and laugh with it as well. You will go through alot of emotions, but you won't regret it. I'm so glad that I watched it. If I could I would forget the show just so I could experience rewatching it again. I love this show it is by far one of my favorites. I would definitely recommend watching it you will love it,
