A cute romantic comedy about passionate people

I’m binged watched the drama because I really loved it. The drama shows the hardship of people working in fashion industry and beautiful friendship among the main characters. I feel the drama did great justice to all the characters not just the 4 main characters.

I am a shawol but regardless of that I feel like Minho portrayed Ji Woomin perfectly as a person who has hard time expressing his feelings but his character develops to overcome that! I really loved his chemistry with Soobin too. Sangwoon and Heejung did a great job too!

A fun, cute drama showing everyone’s passion and hardwork. Specially healing to watch this holiday season!

Simple and touching short drama with adorable kids!

8.25

First of all, the episodes are about 1 hour long, so I am not sure why MDL listed them as 1 hr and 25 mins. These four episodes are just regular K-drama length and not the long Thai drama length.

In four short episodes, "Fanletter, Please" is able to tell a story of the struggles of a top actress and a single father of a young child with leukemia. The plot itself is quite simple and predictable. There might not be twists and turns, but the acting is solid and the story flows pretty well. The stars of the show are definitely the four children. Although they are all battling different illness, they are upbeat and funny, and more mature than some adults in this drama. They are really a joy to watch. Yoo Na, the lead child actress did an amazing job displaying different emotions. Not once do I find her annoying nor super, overly cutesy.

Choi Soo Young (FL) and Yoon Park (ML) have good chemistry, not sizzling hot, but good. They play their characters well and I root for them both. I wanted some more flashback scenes of them during high school, but due to the short length of the drama, I will have to be satisfied with what I got. Their struggles though real did not seem overly depressing or realistic. I guess this could be the light version of the trauma and hardships that they are going through. The romance is quite slow burn and there aren't many cute and fluffy scenes. I would say it's more mature and fluffy. The sweetest part of their romance is in the last episode with the gifts ML prepared for FL. They are thoughtful, sweet and super creative!!!

There are a couple annoying characters, especially those two hospital moms and the cartoonish villain. FL's mother has limited scenes and I want to know more about the mother-daughter relationship. Other that than, this is an easy watch, even if the tone is not as happy as I thought it would be by looking at the poster.

Heartstopping, heartbreaking, heartpounding

This was fantastic. I wasn't one of the people who had to wait the full two years for the second season to drop but I can only imagine how satisfying it was to do that.

First of all, the stunts are absolutely top notch (as expected). The jumps, the fight scenes — it really makes your heart pound while watching it and I felt every bit of high stakes that the games established.

The games are just as fun and provide really intriguing questions about human nature (which is always my favorite part of these survival shows. Compared to season 1, this season is definitely more heavy but slower paced. They spend multiple episodes on individual games, but it actually never feels slow or draggy. I even enjoyed the games where the characters were split up and we saw how different leads handled different sorts of games.

Until the very end, I felt really invested in everything: the characters, the world-building, the story.

The ending was a mixed bag for me; I think it managed to do something rare for me, which is simultaneusly wrap things up with a nice bow, while also leaving room for a season 3 if they decide to write a plot beyond the manga. I felt both satisfaction and completion, while also acknowledging that it used some tropes I don't really enjoy on principle, leaving me wanting the story to continue.

Other than that, I do think that this season suffers a little from the same thing season 1 did, which is that the backstories for each of the characters are interesting and add a lot but many of them stop just shy of "enough," and maybe part of this is just that there are a lot of characters and they kept adding more and giving even one-off antagonists backstories. I think that's valid because it certainly avoided the over-simplistic "good vs. evil" dynamic but I'd still rather have seen more scenes and various moments from our main characters' past lives (think of the American TV show Lost).

Overall, I would highly highly recommend this entire series and I know it will go down as one of my all time favorites.

cute fluffy rom-com to end the year 2022

Dec. 24, 2022

Gaus Electronics is a cute heartwarming fluffy rom-com to end the year. I feel like the Kdramas released lately for the past year or so has been very heavy and dark. So it is nice to have some rom-com to replenish and have like a break from these angsty melodramas.

Overall, Gaus Electronics follows the cliché troupe but I eat it up. Though I must say, I was more interested with the second lead couple plot more. I think it was just personal preference, I feel like the main lead just didn’t give me that suspense or interest to keep myself hook-up with their plot.

Could Have Been Soooooo Much Better

This is a BL series that had potential, but somehow turned horribly wrong. I don't want to blame the actors, because they were only doing what the director obviously wanted. But what was the director thinking??? Except for the main lead actors, they made nearly every other character excessively annoying. The other co-workers at the company were like a poor imitation of slapstick comedy. The stupid continual sound effects lost their effectiveness after the first few times. You could never lose yourself into the story because every few minutes a supporting actor would do something so stupid that it brought you right back to reality reminding you that this was impossibly unreal. Nobody could actually act this stupid. There was no real chemistry between the actors, but that wasn't their fault, it was poor casting. You were never drawn into the drama, but that was the directors fault. If the director had wanted you to take it seriously, the director would have tossed out all the dumb sound effects. If the writers had wanted you to take it seriously they would have left out all the insane nonsense. In the end it just left you scratching your head wondering what were they aiming for? For comedy? For Slapstick? For Absurdness? Obviously not a seriousl love story. Not even a light comical love story. Just plain idiocy that became harder to watch as you progressed through the story. It could have been so much more. It could have been good. But they failed miserably.

One of the best BL series of 2022

2022 has been a great year for BL series and this one can be ranked as one of the best. This is so much more than just a simple story about 2 guys falling in love. It dared to venture in to places that no other series has gone before and has handled those topics masterfully.

In 12 episodes, we get to learn about the 5 main characters and their relationship and the journey they go through and their struggle of making sense of the situation they encounter. The back stories of the 3 kids at the start of every episode gives you a glimpse of the strong friendship they share and this explains the strong bond that they still share when they grow up. Their take on the relationship between friends, siblings, family and lovers is truly believeable and kudos to the great actors that brought that to the small screen. The kids acting is sub-par but that is easily ignored because of the strong performances of the rest of the cast.

Instead of being preachy about how love transcends gender and time, you get to see the struggle of the main characters and how they come to terms about their feelings from past and present. Certain topics regarding gender identity is managed with utmost care and stitched in to the storyline with such preciseness it opens up a different world of romantic story telling.

You might find the first few episodes to be a drag as characters are being introduced and not much happening but if you stay, you will certainly be rewarded with a great story and fabulous acting. Do give this one a watch and you will see yourself returning to it over and over.

A Fabulous drama

This is a chaotic and motivational drama. "The fabulous" talks about the story of four friends and their ups and downs while working in the fashion industry.

Pyo Ji Eun a luxury brand promoter, Ji Woo Min a talented photographer, Joseph, a fashion designer, and Ye Seon Ho a supermodel. The story tells about the challenges they face in their careers, their dreams and ambitions and their love life. These four support each other and have each other's back bringing the story to a whole new level. They are each other's family.

The story also reflects the hardship behind the sparkling perfect fashion industry and the struggle that people working in that industry undergo in order to realize their dreams.

Couldn’t stop watching till I finished all episodes.

Couldn’t stop watching till I finished all episodes.”Cheer up” one of the best Korean dramas of this year in my opinion. The acting, storyline and of course music and performances was so great! I swear I will definitely rewatch this show again and again. I know that some people were disappointed with love triangle but I really like both male leads equally despite annoying love of the second male lead. Despite that he has interesting plot about his family and their relationship. Also, I’m in love with FL 😍 she portrayed her heroine so well, and I like how she could be dead serious and so funny and playful too. I was really impressed by her acting. Really recommend everyone to watch this show if you like good story and also amazing music and shows.

Watch Connect if you like gore

I haven't watched such a good gore drama in a while, i really missed the genre for a long time. although it was short but with an open ending revealing the continuation of the story. hmm about the characters none of them annoyed me and that was a big plus i wasn't frustrated at any scene at all, i binge watched it with a big interest. i love the CGI. i really like the story. it has comedy (more like playin with words thing if u understand korean) that makes you giggle and of course the main dish, a lot of blood and the plot of a psychopath mmm love it. i find the cast well matched to the characters. about the music haha so many versions 😆 rewatch value only 6 eps that you can rewatch quickly the scenes you love the most. anyway i am hoping for season 2, pleaseee

Brings a smile

I decided to watch this straight after enjoying Choco Milk Shake.

This was delightful and, I suspect, what I liked the most was seeing James, Prapatthorn Chakkhuchan, as Meow. The lighting, makeup, wardrobe all added to this total package of cuteness. I kept commenting to myself on how lovely he looked. If he wore a halo instead of those adorable twitchy cat ears I would have believed it.
To me he stole the scenes at every appearance.

The whole story is very innocent and nothing inappropriate occurs, although there are participants that wanted more they were respectful. Meow is so youthful in his actions (it is hinted that he may be 13 or 14 but acts very much younger) I had to look up his real age (23) his actions are sometimes closer to a six year old.
Gap in real life is 27 and we are not told his characters age, however, he does play the role of older brother (with a crush).

So although there is cuteness overload I feel that all the actors did a good job and possibly the director was at fault and needed more input from the real world for Meows character.
I smiled a lot.

Lots of Gore

It's hard to rate it because I didn't hate the show but I didn't fall head over heels for it either. The concept is interesting. The male lead has a special ability to reconnect and heal it's broken parts within seconds. It's a lot like Venom (which I loved) but much more bloody. One day he is just walking along humming a song he wrote when he gets himself kidnapped by organ harvesters. His eye balls get removed but he manages to wake up and plop one of them back in before bolting. Meanwhile his other eye gets placed in the head of another man. The male lead starts to see visions of him and in trying to find and get back his eye, he discovers the man's secret. He's a serial killer.

Up until this point, the show was pretty interesting but it just goes downhill from there. Lots of running around. Lots of incompetent police officers which drive you nuts. SO MUCH GORE. If blood and torture and dissection of bodies bothers you then you will probably hate this show as there is a lot of it from time to time. I just about managed to make through it by watching it in 2x.

I did love the visuals of the connect. The CGI was top notch. I enjoyed the intro theme. Looks beautiful. The main song also really grows on you. There are some action sequences that I enjoyed but too few to really enjoy. More of it would have increased my rating. I actually enjoyed the serial killer aspect to the story because without it, there wouldn't have been anything interesting about the story.

However, the twist related to the serial killer was just a little too much. It wasn't needed in fact. And if anything it made the story a little over the top. There's also an unnecessary sex scene in episode 2.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT
I also found the end frustrating because when you are trying to escape a building, you go down and not to the roof.

Overall, I thought it could have been improved in several ways which is probably why I wouldn't bother rewatching it. But it's fine for a one time watch being such a short show.

A satire about stalking

I cracked up laughing and I could tell the politically correct part of my brain was trying to get offended but the acting is comedy so as in all good comedy taboo subjects can be lampooned.

The Fl has some awesome, nifty martial arts moves and is constantly flooring her boss.
The ML is suitably in awe and finds everything she does is wonderful and fuels his adoration more.
The two second lead actors are okay too not too nasty and adding to the plotline.
If you can embrace the comedy and want a laugh I recommend this for the 'non precious' audience who don't mind when borders are crossed in aid of entertainment.

A light-hearted drama!

I'm not usually a fan of romance dramas, and I prefer heavier dramas. That being said this was a very light hearted drama and nice change of pace.

Overall I enjoyed watching the drama (the female lead got on my nerves a couple of times, but her character would redeam herself by the end of the episode - at least for my tastes). The other three lead characters were enjoyable to watch and their characters were interesting and engaging. Overall, everyones acting was very good, there were just some character flaws/traits in Ji-eun's character that irked me.

If you want a drama, that has minimal drama in it and just want a light hearted romance story, this is the drama for you.

Zero chemistry

Super “mid” show

I think this would have been such a cute drama if there actually was chemistry. So many dramas I’ve watched people are like “there’s no chemistry”, but here it REALLY warrants it. I don’t think the two actors had even high-fived before the filming of this, because there seems to be like visible disgust with any sort of contact.

Combined with the fact that overall the acting is okay, it’s just the chemistry is so off, the overall experience just goes down hill severely.

I would watch shows like semantic error instead, if you have nothing else to watch then maybe, but it’s really not worth it.

I enjoyed it..!

If you are looking for something fresh and cool you will enjoy this drama. Every character is interesting and the main couple is so cute, you can see Choi Minho and Chae Soobin have a good chemestry. Also the friendship of the 4 friends is adorable, I will really miss Joseph, Seon-ho, Ji-eun and Woo-min. I really enjoyed the drama so much because of them.

Finally, it was really nice to see Minho in a lead role again, he did a good job as Woo-min. Hopefully there will be more oprtunities to see him in other projects.

My punctuation in general is 10/10. The acting, the plot, the soundtrack and cinematography was really nice and I'm planing to watch it again with my friends.
