Super Cute and Great Casting!

Who doesn’t love Shen Yue, most famous for, Meteor Garden and A Love so Beautiful. She’s just tiny, bubbly and her acting is really good. I’m a fan of Chen Zhe Yuan from Handsome Siblings and so it was nice to see him in a rom-com role. The chemistry between the two great actors was there and I enjoyed the banter between them the most.

I truly believe this drama could have had higher ratings or 10 stars, had it not been for the secondary couple. Oh my goodness, the secondary couple Lu Zi Chen (the boss) and Ye Qing (the President) was so boring. I thought they were really pretty and I truly tried to get into their storyline, but for the life of me, I couldn’t hold on to them. I had to fast forward all of their parts.

Even though the secondary couple wasn’t a great storyline, I just focused most of my attention on the main leads. I liked the fact the ML was from the past and he didn’t need to have a silly scene where he tried to figure out the modern world. I really liked they bypassed that and just had him read a bunch of books.

I do hope Shen Yue will pick a melo-drama or a role where she doesn’t play the frumpy girl anymore. Gah, the wardrobe on her was just horrible and even her glow-up was disappointing. Then you have the complete opposite where the ML has an amazing wardrobe and he always looked like he stepped off the runway. Love the cape coat in the last scene! I also appreciate that they NEVER wore clothing twice (maybe once or twice). It truly makes a difference.

The tone of the show was always light-hearted and even during the serious parts, it wasn’t over-the-top, just the right amount to give the story some heart and warmth. I laughed a lot and what I enjoyed most was the low angst and the kindness between the main leads. Even though there was some light banter, at the end of the day, they were very kind to each other. That’s what I want to watch.

Overall, I thought this drama was the rom-com I needed to put a smile on my face and give me that happy vibes I always like when I watch my C dramas. LOVE the casting on the leads. I 100% recommend.

If you love intensity, gore dramas and enjoy the thrill ride then go for this series!

I disliked one thing in this show!

Niragi. Simple! That guy just never changes~

I loved the aspect of the characters of this season, how even the gamers also has human feelings and emotions. How they cared for justice and their friends? All they wanted was freedom and that place was the only place where they really could be free.

The dialogues were touching. For example Kayuma in the last scene "I hope you figure it out. How to live by your own rules. Your life is yours. Don't follow someone else's path." and how this implies to us in real life as well. The characters were loveable even the gamers who planned out all the games. The back story for each of the characters minor or main was just cherry on the top. It wasn't used as a filler chapter but led to build the character's personality and development into the story.

My favorite episode throughout the show would be Jack of Hearts, the game the manipulation the intellect used to figure out who's the mastermind played out so cool and Chishiya throughout the whole show was my favorite. Like boy was so smart, always learning the other challengers' behavior and their attitude and also how his instinct was mostly right during the game.

Loved it how the women in this show were such badass and brave those girlies who truly knew how to kick some asses while also helping in clearing out the stages of the games. This time women ruled. Man! Those girls are superheroes. Always love female archers.

That King of Spades was so ruthless and was he immortal? Got hit by a car, exploded and was on fire.... standing! Hit by arrow... nothing! The gunfires towards him... dodged 'em all. Stabbed by knives numerous times... didn't even shed blood. lol~

Ep 7 was the most saddest! "If we meet again... promise me we'll be friends."

And the final twist was superbly done... Loved the fireworks~

LITERALLY INSANE

DUDE. This K-drama is my second favourite of all time (of many). It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. The production quality is insane, the acting is great, the main girls are so pretty but most of all the plot is thicker than overcooked oatmeal. There are twists and turns and it's just written so well oh my goodness. People are leaving low scores saying it's the same as the original, I don't care at all, I've not seen the original and that does not take away from the fact that this drama is incredible. Both part 1 and 2 are spectacular

Okay I've to admit it was very well drama
With well constructed story
Strong plot
Connected events
Amazing friendship
Brilliant acting
But .... weak romance

Inspite of having all the good aspects but I don't know why I didn't like much
And I dropped it twice before continuing it
And the last scene when the ML saved the FL at the rooftop
Reminds me a lot with the same scene in Goblin drama

I guess I wasn't in a good mood while watching
But I am convinced that strong drama imposes itself
And something was missing there for me
Not the romance I guess
Because I loved black sooooo much although the romance was very slight
Any way I didn't regret watching
Because I loved the main couple as an actors
And loved the chemistry between the staff in the drama

Sure will recommend it
But it's not one of my favourite dramas to keep

Review in one sentence

This is my first jdrama and it is the best jdrama of the year. Acting of all the actors were perfect. There are some people who didn't like Minato and Nana, but I like them both. All the characters are kind hearted peoples. Loved it so much. I love the piano bgm and the ost , both matches with this drama perfectly. If you wanna try a jdrama I will definitely recommend this. Don't miss this gem. I'm a person who doesn't cry on watching sad drama, what I meant is, I will be sad for sure but my tears won't come out but this is one of the few dramas which made my tears came out rolling again and again. So thank you, I enjoyed that emotional part very much too. Thank you to all the actors and staff for your hard work.

Thank you for reading:)

Heart-warming and touching dorama

Honestly, I came across to watch this drama because of the clip of eps 1 that went viral on Twitter. This drama is absolutely worth the hype.

Silent explores what some of us take as granted. It is the ability of hearing. This dorama not only reveals the point of view of hearing people towards the deaf people but also vice versa.

Sou's hearing impairment becomes the center of this story. How he feels so little toward everyone else, how he tries to adjust his life after losing his hearing ability, and how he shuts down from society to protect himself. For me, that is a normal reaction. To suddenly not be able to hear is painful enough. I have to give a standing ovation to Mame since he is able to convey all of the emotion with facial expressions and sign language.

The triangle love story between Sou-Tsumugi-Minato is beautifully made. At first, I thought Minato, for Tsumugi, was just the substitute for Sou after he had gone. But It was wrong. Minato holds another place in Tsumugi heart while Sou holds a special place in her heart. Yes, she falls in love with them over different periods of time. Their story gives the same feeling when someone loses her or his lover and she or he starts to love and be loved again. You can't help but keep yearning for the deceased one while start loving another one. In addition, for me, Minato character is truly the hero here. He just loves to see Tsumugi and Sou together even though he does love Tsumugi.

Tsumugi also gives her best effort to communicate with Sou by immediately learning sign language. Along with time, she understands that it is not the only voice that can convey someone's thinking but also words. I love how she tries as much as she can to understand Sou.

The other characters complement the story as well. Sou's family and friends' acceptance of Sou's condition, Nana's thoughts as a born-deaf person, and Masaki's thoughts as a hearing person really blend well.

Another thing I like about this dorama is how every sound is showcased more to my ears. I could hear clearly those sounds compared to another dorama. Subtitle as the OST also makes this dorama complete. How I wish this dorama could end with Sou calling Tsumugi name and holding her hand. Nevertheless, the ending is still beautifully created.

Regardless of its xenophobic and gate-keeping screenwriter, I hope this dorama could be streamed legally on the official streaming platform (aside of Viki ofc) so it could reach more audiences. I sincerely hope the screenwriter would apologize since her reckless statement has hurt a lot of people.

Lastly, Silent is a really worth-watching dorama which could leave you in tears in each episode.

An expedition to become You! ( Love like galaxy part 1 and 2)

I have finished ' love like the galaxy' with profound smile on my face and tears in my eyes.
This has been a long journey of parenting, of trust, of belief, and a journey of love.
Characters grew from the best to the very best. Well though everyone had their own flaws, they executed their characters very well...
Zhao lusi has done the best job and she is one of the best actresses out there of her age imo. I have been loving her acting for a while so I am familiar with that, yet still she surprises me with those purest eyes, and warmest smile every time I see her.
Still her characters has it's own flaws and i didn't like it entirely yet I'm satisfied.

Leo wu did his best and i loved his
character the most in entire show... This drama does not explore his background too much otherwise this would have been the one In my ATF list....
Still I will not forget this since this has already been carved into my heart....
Please give it a go if you are into such historical dramas with profound meaning of love...

Thanks for coming here...
Happy watching....

Some dramas are perfect the way they are.

With 2022 nearing an end, watching this drama was a is actually a pleasant surprise. Not everyone is a fan of the slow romance genre; but dramas have seen success when taking that archetype, Mr.Sunshine being one of my favorites. This Drama cannot boast the same level of story telling, but after watching the likes of 2521 and Twentieth Century Girl, a slow paced healing drama is exactly what I needed. Sometimes a drama is perfect the way it is.

We sometimes wish for our favorite dramas to be perfect. Everything from the music to the acting. But in doing so, many may get "lost in the sauce", completely neglecting what the message of the drama was supposed to be. Summer Strike is a slow paced healing drama, mostly in the perspective of a City Girl with a mundane and repetitive life, moving to the country and finding peace.

Yes, this drama take an unnecessary dark turn for the sake of plot development towards the later two-three episodes, with a surprising character shift, It doesn't takeaway from the healing tone of the drama itself. This drama will also make you wait for true romantic interactions between the ML and FL, even being robbed from a kissing scene at the end. Even through that, this drama tells a wonderful peaceful story of our FL coming from a hectic repetitive lifestyle and crapy boss to family issues, the journey the FL goes on is a satisfying one in the end. While relations between blood prove fickle, she is able to find true family and unconditional love.

I highly recommend this, if for nothing else, but for our gorgeous FL and ML. They are both beautiful to look at, not to mention the very much improved acting of actor Im Si-wan as well as a very pleasing performance by singer/actress Kim Seol-hyun (AKA Seolhyun). Please give this a watch and stick by it til the end.

Summer Happiness, momentary.

Overall, a healing show with some plot holes.
If you have time to spare and would like to destress, this would be quite a perfect show with slow movement. In terms of the chemistry between the two actors, I would say its doable because there isn't much of a interaction since they can pass it off as them being shy.

Love the music because I think it fits the vibes really well. Realism wise, I think they skipped quite some scenes so we have to fill in the blank ourselves, which isn't that hard. The biggest problem I would have would be the ending... The discovery of Sun-ah death and the whole case... I felt like there aren't enough time to explain every single detail.

I really love the small little parts of this whole story, like the small moments of their interaction, finding small happiness within all the things that we do. Im Si wan is good at acting so I wouldn't have anything to say about him. Seolhyun improved greatly for this role, maybe because there wasn't much expressions for her to portray.

I really love the grandma though! This drama is really soothing and comforting for my soul although I think the two main leads do not have a huge chemistry unlike most drama. I like how every single character in the drama portray a certain part of people that we would encounter in our life.

Seo In Guk never fails as main lead

Cafe Minamdang is a good drama to watch when you don't wanna watch anything too complicated.

Cafe Minamdang is your basic police/detective kdrama with a nice funny twist!
This kdrama does have a lot of slapstick humor and can be sometimes a little tiring to watch as the story takes a while to really kickstart.

STORY:
The drama is about a criminal profiler Nam Han-jun (Seo In Guk) who now is pretending to be a shaman with the help of his little sister, ex NIS hacker Nam Hye-jun and Kong Su-cheol, a friend of theirs who runs a private detective agency. While conning the rich with dirty laundry, they come across leads to Nam Han-jun's friend's Prosecutor Han Jae-jung's murder case. Nam Han-jun has been searching for "Gopuri" a serial killer who killed his friend for many years, in a disguise of being a shaman. While trying to get leads in an illegal way, suddenly he comes across a detective, Han Jaehui. Han Jaehui is Han Jae-jung's little sister, who is determined to find out who killed her brother. She has misunderstood Nam Han-jun and now dislikes him. Soon they realize that they need to work together in order to find the serial killer.

My thoughts :
The drama really was interesting. The story did take a while to kickstart but as a fan of comedies, i really wasn't that bothered by it since it meant that there were a lot of funny scenes of Seo In Guk acting as the crazy good shaman. The serial killer's identity was also very well thought and almost all the main characters were very likeable.

CAST:

Seo In Guk as Nam Han-Jun,
He is just perfection. His acting is literally so fun to watch. In one moment he was this crazy funny shaman and then he suddenly turned into this very serious criminal profiler.. Seo In Guk just never fails as a lead. Fun, charming and good looking-! I am really obsessed with his acting and this shaman role was made for him!

Oh Yeon seo as Han Jaehui,
I feel like she was an okay choice. I like her acting but for me she got so overshadowed by Seo In Guk. She felt too plain. I would have loved to see someone as crazily charming as Seo In Guk to match his energy. She was the typical "police/detective girl" aka it meant that she was stronger than all her male coworkers and just overall this tiringly stubborn character. She wouldn't believe in Nam Han-jun's words at all which resulted in her having to learn the hard way to listen to what he is saying.

Overall:
A great drama when you don't wanna watch anything too heavy and enjoy the slapstick comedy while the story is actually pretty well thought out.

This ought to have a higher average rating because it’s just so good

More recent Korean dramas rarely exceed 20 episodes and so when I realized Dong Yi was 60 episodes long, I nearly skipped it. Well, thank God I didn’t because this series was a little bit of heaven that ticked every box of tropes I want in a historical drama. The icing was having Ji Jin Hee as the gorgeous Emperor. My oh my, I practically swooned whenever he came on screen not only because of his excellent acting but also for that chiseled face. He and Han Hyo Joo had an insane amount of chemistry that practically sizzled. Yes, I like me some unequally yoked lovers. An Emperor falling in love and marrying a servant? Sign me up please.

More than this, there was enough palace intrigue and harem shenanigans to keep the pace moving swimmingly; also, and for once, a Korean drama actually had an ending that didn’t rip my heart out. What more could I ask for?

Definitely entertaining, but keep the magnifying glass outside

First off, Lee Sung Min gives a heck of a performance and a lasting impression as Jin Yang Cheol CEO. Song Joong Ki is as suave as ever. There are some good dynamics and relationships that can make you curious, happy, angry and so on. Chaebol makjang that kdramas excel at, with fast-paced business empire knots and tactics. Be prepared to plunge halfway into the world of stock exchange. If you're looking to just get some entertainment, this can definitely do the job and then some.

But if you put it under a magnifying glass, you might find some holes and ditches leaving you disappointed. So don't come to this, if you're looking for a super clever story that has the i's dotted and the t's crossed all wrapped in a pretty bow. This only has the bow.

There is some romance but nothing that'll make the butterflies jump out of the screen. There is some pain and trauma but it didn't leave me bawling. So these are not things you should expect to find here.

I was not looking for these thankfully, so I was quite entertained.

Comedy at its peak

So, this is a drama with slapstick humour which is tough to portray without being cringe but Gaus Electronics does that so well! It had me laughing in every single episode. The characters are a riot and their mannerisms are so extra but to a level of endearing. This is a fun watch when you want to laugh a lot. I hope we will get to see another season of this. The leads were so future together despite the enemies to lovers trope that was played around. Too much Musk reference and it’s hilarious to watch this after Twitter takeover.

Refreshing Drama

The acting are good. Zhang Binbin always did good job for his dramas, Xulu is nailed too. but why the couples are hard to unite, it pisses me off.

Ultimately, I hope God of The Moonlight and God of the sun will be happy together. Lu Li/Luo Ge and Liu Shao deserve happy ending. Will Luo Ning be happy with afu in the end? or will they be cursed? Luo Ning is adorable, but Afu is totally demon.

How come the immortal Palace didn't know any demon energy around Bai Feng meanwhile the demon knows her energy? It doesn't make sense. how come the immortal palace has such weak security?
