Wrong actress for the lead
This would have been a perfect 10 for me if not for the female actress. Her voice is so shrill I feel like muting my tv every time she screamed. She also doesn't have a loud authoritative voice so every time she shouts, it just irritated me even more.And her character is so not suitable to be part of the bureau; Impatient, reckless and also acts as a bully toward her colleague. Why did the writers create a character with a personality like that to be part of the bureau?
I’ve already finished episode 6 and so far she’s not contributed much to the team, except to do some interviews, beat up some juveniles and accuse ML of being biased towards students because of his backstory, even though she’s known him for years prior. LOL

Non-Biased Review Up to Current Ep 19
This is my first ever review so please excuse me if this isn't the best.So this story is simple, a rebirth series where our FL gets killed and used by one of our antagonist. It's a pretty fast paced story with only 24 eps. I like Chen Duling so I decided to watch it for her and it's my first series for Zhou Yiren. You see what happens to our FL in ep1, what transpires and how she meets our ML before her death. Right after being reborn/brought back, she basically goes into action trying to change her fate all in what seems like a night. I liked the pacing this was going at, I had questions but it kept me interested because it wasn't beating around the bush in the beginning half and I wanted to see where and how she was going to change the course of her life.
We got to see our FL fail and get back up, get mentally stronger while figuring out who in the palace she could use to get her revenge. This then introduces us to what I would call our 3 main antagonist. In the first half, it get's interesting, as the viewer I'm trying to figure out what their intentions are and just what kind of character they are. As to the fiancé in our FL's first life, we already know straight up what he wants so to me his character is already set in stone. The other two, it was a mystery because I still didn't know exactly what kind of "bad" guy they're going to play but one thing for sure, there is A LOT of using each other, and mind games between FL and the 3 antagonist. Especially Deng Yi and Xie YF, in the beginning it was funny to see but in the second half I got bored of it and was watching their parts on x2 speed. It gets a little redundant. One of the biggest issue for me is that the 3 antagonist and the FL are all playing a game of chess. It's a back and forth back and forth game and as of ep19 I'm like okay, where is this going now? I need more, I need something to happen, I need to start seeing their cards because we don't have a lot of eps left until the end and I don't want it to rush (which is probably will). This series isn't heavily focused on the politics, which I prefer. It has just enough since she becomes the Grand Princess so I appreciate that.
The plot itself could use more, and I've seen some watchers say she's not getting rid of anyone etc, no killings, but to me it's understandable from both sides because one, I get that she's the Princess, she can't just go on a killing spree, which is why she was trying so hard to bring into light the fact that her ex-husband wanted to kill the current emperor. She's playing this chess game with the other 2 antagonist who are also very smart in their own way and probably have survived all this time because of the tactics they used. I also understand why some are annoyed because no one bad has died yet, and I so wish it had happened already because sometimes Im like, okay where is the revenge? Like c'mon, lets get to it, but then I remind myself she's not just a generals daughter anymore. So I'm trying my best to be patient. The revenge just seems to be very slow at moving in order for us viewers to see the results. The story/plot isn't super heavy and dark, which I appreciate but there's definitely room for improvement.
Now, for the MAIN reason why this series still has me even though there are some areas for improvement... my ML and FL. I seriously LOVE all their scenes together. It's never dull and dry. This isn't just a "because they're beautiful and handsome" reason, I'm talking about their chemistry and what they bring to their scenes. I've said this already, but their love isn't on a grand scale like other ML/FL's we've seen. Their actions say much more than their words. The gazes they give to each other says so much without a lot of conversation in my opinion. The way they wipe each others tears, the way they hold each others hands, from the teasing she gives him, to him not being able to look her in the eyes, I mean it's just everything. You feel the tension, the playfulness, the longing, and the way A'Jiu goes out of his way to protect her? Don't get me wrong, she's not a damsel in distress where she always needs his help. She can stand on her own two feet. This series isn't heavily focused on romance but gives us very very good couple scenes where it makes you giddy and in my case, just smiling ear to ear cause I get butterflies from their interactions. I think this series is a somewhat good balance of romance, politics, drama, mystery etc. with some areas for improvement. I'm waiting for the rest of the eps to rate it again. I always say, watch 3-5 eps to see if you like it, if you don't, you gave it a fair shot. Sometimes drama series don't really get going until ep 5 for me. Anyways, I'm excited and I can't wait to see how this all plays out!

Voice overs ruined a lot!
This was a sweet drama, it had a classic story about 2 highschool boys who became friends and the slow path to realizing they were in love. The toxic classmate made the story a bit more interesting.I loved how the cousin and Ouyang Han were first love rivals, but later on they were the ones to help Yu Lei and Chen Ke realize they were in love. So the good kind of love rivals, who backed off when they realize it's useless and turn to help instead.
The visuals were good and the music beautiful. The production didn't do so good. There were some cut of scenes and the voice over ruined a lot for me.
The actors were mostly unexperienced, but they did good. Unfortunatly that diddn't really come through because of the voice overs.
Both couples had good chemistry and kissses. The second couple even had 2 good NC scenes!
One really bad thing was the snow in episode 3 that looked a lot more like foam.

Grim Reality in Great Production
It was a good watch. Park Hae Soo and Lee Hee Jun did a tremendous job, their acting was really great. The same could be said about the rest of the cast. Music was very fitting, especially the opening song really got you and sent shivers down the spine. The story was quite good; however, the exposition was not always the best. The camera sometimes pointed at something so aggressively that it was almost insulting, as if it were saying "see, this is the thing that was mentioned seconds ago, and it is here!!! here!!! look!!!". Two last episodes felt kind of rushed, I wish there were more shown about the present time. The characters were its strongest point. Sometimes, even the "good guys" are not that good and sometimes, nobody really wins.Was this review helpful to you?
Perfect from Beginning to End
This series was very enjoyable and had a very refreshing take on the reborn storylines. It did a great job grabbed my attention. The script did an interestingly good job at setting up the key points of the storyline. It also did an incredible job connecting the events and characters from the two alternative timelines. All the storylines, including the romantic ones, had a nice even pace. I normally hate this type of story element, but this is a good example how and why you should use a time jump. It was also done in a very creative way. I have a minor beef with the very end of the series, but it made sense with all things considered. The whole cast did a phenomenal job bringing their characters to life. Kudos to Takahashi Issei for playing two different versions of one character. I would imagine it’s not easy play a character that was reborn as someone else and then pretend to be that person but still have to portray the other person’s personality. Another incredible element was the perfect editing, cinematography, and music.Was this review helpful to you?
People Can Change!!!, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse ...
This series was a little difficult for me throughout the first episode. It was just a bit slow moving and kind of difficult to see where it was heading ... BUT, give it a chance. By the end of the first hour or so, a great story plot emerges. You'll really be pulled into it with great anticipation for future episodes. Episode 5 takes the series to a higher level, the story goes into a direction you don't see coming and goes from good to great.It's not a new story, one person landing in another person's body after an accident, but this story has a bit of a twist to it. The person goes back to the past and is trying to save and change the future with the knowledge he knows from living through it already. ... but like I said, there are several twists and turns that cause positive and negative results.
Without giving away the final episode, that last 30 minutes you will not figure out what's coming. Several major story plots revealed, sending everything into a shocking conclusion.
Issei Takahashi is absolutely fantastic playing a dual role. Two totally different characters and he truly gives them such opposite personalities. It really is great entertainment to watch him perform. He uses a line at the very end that really puts this series into a nutshell ... "Maybe God likes to keep things balanced, good and bad things always seem to take turns"
It's so true in this series. Definitely a must watch!!!

Hilarious Food Dreams and Half‑Baked Corruption Plot
🍳 The Cooking & Comedy Hit the SpotThis drama was fun and funny from start to finish. One thing I really enjoyed was how every episode included a Seong Jae cooking moment, keeping the food theme consistent throughout. Every dish he made looked delicious enough to make me want to try cooking it myself.
I also loved the food‑dream scenes the characters had after tasting his dishes—they were hilarious, even the nightmare ones from the terrible food early on. The story around Seong Jae’s cooking journey was written well too. It shows him learning from the system but also slowly relying on his own skills and experiences. There are great moments where he has to trust himself, and those really stood out.
Romance is basically 1%. It pops up for about a week’s worth of episodes and again in the final episode with the reporter girl who always liked him.
🪖 The Military Corruption Plot Needed More Clarity
The other half of the story—the corruption case involving the military and the former Deputy Battalion Commander—felt like I was in the dark the entire time. The drama barely gave any gradual reveals, so the final explanation came out of nowhere. There were small hints here and there, but not enough to understand what actually happened until the very end. A little more buildup would've helped a lot.
🎭 The Cast: Mostly Great, With a Few Frustrations
Besides the villains, I liked almost every character. Lee Hong Nae was a standout with his comedic timing and cheerful expressions. Kang Ha Kyung also shined in the second half, going from a bully to a great companion for Seong Jae.
As much as I like Lee Sang Yi, his character was rough to watch for most of the drama. He finally redeemed himself in the last episode when he stopped being a suck‑up and actually stood firm to protect his soldiers and search for the truth.
And then there are the actors from “The Flavor Boys.” I honestly didn’t pay much attention to them until Episode 6, when Seok Ho’s food dream turned into a full music video. After that, I couldn’t unsee them.
🍲 Final Thoughts
Overall, this drama nails Seong Jae’s cooking journey but drops the ball on the corruption storyline. Even so, it’s still worth watching for the food creations and the comedy.

When Familiar Tropes Are Done Right
This is a well-written business romance with good actors, solid production values, and strong execution. One thing I particularly appreciated was that the drama resisted the urge to add unnecessary comedy. Instead, it stayed focused on being a serious business romance, which worked very well for the story it wanted to tell.For a short drama, it delivers an enjoyable binge-watch experience. The main couple is convincing and natural together, and their chemistry carries much of the show. The supporting cast is also strong, but the actors portraying the grandfather in both timelines deserve special mention. They left a lasting impression.
This drama somehow manages to gather almost every cliché commonly found in short dramas, yet it still works because those tropes are executed well. Sometimes familiar stories can be enjoyable when they're handled with care, and that's exactly the case here.
One of my favorite aspects was the friendship between the male lead and his best friend. They were both charismatic, good-looking, and genuinely fun to watch whenever they shared scenes. The young actor in the Republican Era storyline also stood out with a very impressive performance.
The business side of the drama was another pleasant surprise. CEO stories have become incredibly common, but this one made the concept feel more believable by showing how the male lead built his success from the ground up. It felt realistic, especially in today's world where many young billionaires have achieved success through technology and entrepreneurship.
The villains were also surprisingly well-developed. Their eventual downfall felt earned, and Shen Hao in particular was a convincing portrayal of a spoiled rich heir who had spent his entire life getting whatever he wanted. His descent into madness near the end was both entertaining and believable.
I also loved the supporting characters, especially the best friends and the grandfather. They were supportive, loyal, and genuinely cared about the main couple. It was refreshing to see friends who stood by each other rather than constantly betraying one another. At one point, I worried that Shen Gu didn't truly appreciate Fang Hong Sheng, but the story eventually showed that he had always been grateful to him.
And of course, the main couple deserves praise. They looked fantastic together on screen, and the female lead carried herself with the confidence and authority of a true CEO. It's rare to see a drama where both husband and wife are successful business leaders, and I enjoyed watching a smart, capable, and independent CEO wife. Their chemistry was excellent, and they supported each other both personally and professionally throughout the story.
The Republican Era storyline was beautifully done, although undeniably tragic. I especially appreciated the parallel scene near the end that gave viewers a glimpse of a "what if" scenario where they survived and were able to receive their long-awaited happy ending. They may not have found happiness in their past lives, but seeing their modern counterparts get that chance felt satisfying.
Overall, this is a beautifully executed mini-drama that stands well above many of the rushed and poorly developed short dramas in the genre. The acting is consistently strong, with the cast conveying emotions remarkably well through subtle expressions and eye acting. The loyal friendships, supportive family members, and heartfelt relationships gave the story a warmth that many mini-dramas lack.
That said, I did lose some interest toward the final stretch, which prevented me from rating it even higher. Still, it remains a solid and enjoyable short drama that I would happily recommend.

Low self esteem FL
I cant stand any drama where the FL is presented as stupid, low self esteem and as a victim, luck of emotional inteligence, lick of boundaries with the ex or a brain and acting like a teenager. And all the other women in the drama are powerful and smart.She is a adult woman or a teenager?!
The FL act like a teenager but she has sex, she is adult enough for this. What?!?!

Cute, chaotic, and surprisingly entertaining
It fully embraces its over-the-top premise and delivers exactly what you’d expect: a light, easy, and entertaining watch that doesn’t ask for too much from the viewer. The story is full of familiar tropes and predictable moments, but it never takes itself too seriously, which makes it easy to just sit back and enjoy the ride. The leads had enough chemistry to keep me invested, and while there wasn’t much depth to the plot, it managed to be cute and enjoyable throughout. Cute & Spooky Short Watch
Mysterious Class was such a fun little drama and the perfect palate cleanser. Like many idol mini dramas, it doesn't try to be overly complicated or heavy, and that's part of its charm. It's cute, entertaining, and easy to binge, making it an enjoyable watch if you're looking for something light with a touch of mystery.One of the things I loved most about the story was how every episode made you suspect a different member. Just when I thought I had figured out who the ghost was, the drama would throw another clue or twist my way. That constant guessing game made the mystery engaging and kept me invested throughout. Even though it is a short series, it does a good job of maintaining suspense and making you want to see what happens next.
What really surprised me, though, was how emotional the ghost's story turned out to be. Behind the mystery was a genuinely sad and touching backstory. Learning about everything he had gone through made it impossible not to sympathize with him. His loneliness and pain were heartbreaking, and his story added much more depth to the drama than I initially expected.
I also appreciated the message about friendship. At its core, Mysterious Class is a reminder of how important it is to be seen, remembered, and supported by the people around us. The way the ghost disappeared when everyone ignored him and how he was ultimately able to come back because his friends stood up for him was both touching and meaningful. It showed how powerful friendship and loyalty can be.
Not every question is fully answered, and there are a few things that remain unclear, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment. The story was still engaging, the mystery was fun, and the emotional moments landed well.
And of course, the music was a lot of fun and fit the overall vibe of the drama perfectly.
If you're looking for a short and enjoyable series with mystery, friendship, and a surprising amount of emotion, this one is definitely worth checking out.

A Gripping Tale of Fate, Greed, and Consequences
I absolutely loved The Hunt from beginning to end. Right from the first episode, the show had its hooks in me and never let go. It immediately draws you into the lives of its characters, slowly revealing their backgrounds and the intricate ways their lives are connected. Every revelation adds another layer to the story, making it impossible not to become invested in what happens next.The cast deserves immense praise because every actor did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life. They made these people feel real, with all their flaws, desires, and regrets. The emotional scenes hit hard because of how convincing the performances were, and it was easy to understand the pain and motivations that drove each character.
One of the things I appreciated most was how the drama explored where these characters came from and how cruel twists of fate shaped the people they eventually became. No one simply ended up where they were by chance. Every decision, every sacrifice, and every mistake had consequences, creating a story that felt both tragic and deeply human.
Ni Xiagdong, in particular, fascinated me. He was greedy, selfish, and so consumed by his own desires that he completely disregarded the people who loved and cared about him the most. Watching his choices unfold was frustrating at times, but it also made him an incredibly compelling character. He was far from perfect, yet that imperfection made him feel believable.
What really kept me hooked, though, was the suspense. The drama constantly kept me on the edge of my seat, and I could never truly predict where the story was headed. Just when I thought I had things figured out, another twist would appear and completely change the direction of the narrative. That unpredictability made the entire experience all the more exciting.
Overall, The Hunt is a gripping and emotionally charged drama that masterfully weaves together the themes of fate, greed, and the consequences of our actions. With outstanding performances, complex characters, and a story that constantly keeps you guessing, it was an unforgettable watch and easily one of my favorite dramas.

This type of dramas may not be for everyone and that's fine as long as you respectfully do not hate on the actors and on the drama as it is a good one even if it's not your favourite, respect the time they took and don't leave hate comments but simply move on to your favourite drama if this isn't suitable for you, after all everyone has different taste they like to watch and that's fine.
My favourite character is the female lead with is rare knowdays, she's not weak even if she pretends to be, she's a cunning and a smart character, always 3 step ahead even from the male lead, If you haven't watched it yet I will just tell you a hint that she took out most of his enemies without him knowing it was her, And that she seems to have a hobby of cute voodo dolls, The Actors have done a very good job especially with the way they express their emotions with their eyes it is chilling and it feels as if they truly have stepped in to the chara ters of the roles they took, This draka is drilled and soaked in a heavy plot I am a reader so it may not be so heavy for me but even so it's truly good and juicy in it's own way.

Messy, Steamy, and Weirdly Nostalgic
Love Alert honestly felt like the perfect palate cleanser. Going into it, I wasn't expecting some deep, plot-heavy masterpiece, and thankfully, the series didn't pretend to be one. There's not a whole lot of plot, but there is plenty of romance, chemistry, and heat. In many ways, it reminded me of those short, spicy stories you randomly pick up every now and then just for fun.What surprised me most was how nostalgic the whole thing felt. It heavily reminded me of those super cliché old-school dramas I used to watch on television after school. There was something charmingly over-the-top about it, and despite all its flaws, I found myself enjoying the ride.
That being said, the second couple absolutely stole the show for me. Every time they appeared, I was giggling and kicking my feet. They had the chemistry, the charm, and all the cute moments that made me invested in their relationship. Honestly, I was almost more interested in them than the main story.
As for the main couple… whew. They were a headache. One half of the pair was an absolute douche, while the other seemed determined to win an Olympic gold medal in being a doormat. Watching them had my blood pressure rising on multiple occasions. I genuinely had very little interest in seeing one of them redeemed because, in my opinion, some actions simply leave scars that can't be fixed with a few apologies and a romantic montage.
It was also really nice seeing Matthew again after Hidden Moon. It is always fun spotting actors you enjoyed in previous dramas and seeing them in a completely different setting.
One thing I could not stop laughing about, though, was the background music. Some of the tracks were so random and oddly placed that they became unintentionally hilarious. I swear I've heard some of those songs as intros to beauty YouTube channels or royalty-free background music somewhere. Instead of adding emotion, they occasionally had me trying not to burst out laughing.
Overall, Love Alert isn't a drama I'd recommend to someone looking for complex storytelling or profound character development. But if you're looking for something light, entertaining, unapologetically cliché, and just plain fun, then it's a perfectly enjoyable watch. Messy? Absolutely. Frustrating? At times. But boring? Only slightly.

Quite disappointing
The story had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, when it comes to execution, it falls short. Everything is too linear, with no subtlety whatsoever. The plot is painfully predictable, and the inconsistencies keep piling up. It feels like a series that was rushed into production to quickly capitalize on the wonderful pairing from Love in the Moonlight.It’s not unpleasant to watch, but it’s far from captivating. A shame, really. The Lakorn effect (which still makes me laugh) isn’t enough to save it.
And the special effects, where did the budget go?! Those butterflies are awful!
