ABOSULTE MASTERPIECE..a must watch
This has to be one of the best BLs of this year. Once again China has outdone itself and is reigning over this years bls.Deep in consists of two plots both were extremely well written and put together, connecting both “dramas” storylines wonderfully. The main plot is of two actors, one star and a rising stunt double who star is a gay film together. Realizing their feelings go beyond their characters they fall in love and fight to see if their love is real and is more than just lust, desire, or character mindsets.
The good: everything… literally everything. There was nothing bad about this show it it deserves its 10/10. The acting, script, plots, and directing were all impeccable. The chemistry between the leads and the storylines of both “dramas” were so intriguing that I wish there was a drama made of the one they made in this series.
I have never cried so much in a BL before. This has the emotional roller coaster, where you just want to cry when they are happy and when they are sad.
Ollie and Shu Yuan did an amazing job in this series. Their acting, the emotions, the expressions, and pain was all there and they delivered. The entire cast are all extremely talented and the director did an amazing job filming and creating this masterpiece.
I will miss watching this show and I wish it didn’t have to end.
P.s. watch each episode to the very very end, so you don’t miss the end scenes.

That Cute Little Boy from Hikaru no Go Grew Up Well
A poor man was hired as an heiress' bodyguard. She was intrigued by his integrity and aloofness; he was drawn to her even though he thought she'd caused his family's ruin.The Good:
• The censors were asleep when this was approved! *fans self*
• The wardrobe was beautiful. It evoked the era, though it was modernized to be more stylish by today's standards. How I love the look of Chinese Republican Era dramas.
• The leads were gorgeous. Hu Yi Yao had beautifully expressive eyes. I was surprised that seductive Hao Fu Shen was that cute little boy from Hikaru no Go, all grown up.
• The leads were intelligent and didn't jump to conclusions. They also tended to give one another the benefit of the doubt, an extreme rarity in dramaland.
The Bad:
• The smoking. I understand I'm supposed to think cigarette smoking is sexy, but that kiss where the ML blew his smoke into the FL's mouth made my lungs constrict. And don't get me started on the FL smoking a cigar. So utterly gross. My step-grandfather smoked a cigar for years, got cancer where he held it in his mouth, and had to have part of his lips and tongue surgically removed. Not so very sexy.
• There was no ending. Oh, they slapped a "The End" sign where the film ran out, but there wasn't an emotional payout for the viewer. All foreplay and no orgasm, if I may be so crass.
I grade on a curve when it comes to short-length series, as they don't have the budgets of the larger shows. The plot was paint by number, but, that said, the actors, wardrobe, and OST were every bit as good as some larger dramas. I wanted to remove a half star for that non-ending, but I won't.

?❤️ One of My Favorite Office Rom-Com K-Dramas Ever!
As a 24-year-old guy who has been watching K-dramas for many years, I can confidently say that **The Divorce Insurance** has become one of my most favorite office romantic comedies that I have ever seen. From the very first episode, it had the perfect balance of heartfelt romance, hilarious comedy, charming office dynamics, and emotional moments that kept me smiling throughout. It is one of those rare dramas that feels warm, comforting, and incredibly easy to binge without ever losing its charm.Lee Dong-wook once again proves why he is one of my favorite Korean actors. He has such an effortless screen presence, and whether he's delivering emotional scenes or making you laugh with subtle expressions, he is simply fantastic. Lee Joo-bin was absolutely beautiful and gave such a lovable and natural performance that completely won me over. Their chemistry was incredible, making every interaction feel genuine, sweet, and memorable. Watching them together was one of the biggest highlights of the entire drama.
The supporting cast deserves just as much praise. Lee Kwang-soo, Lee Da-hee, EXY, and Kim Won-hae were all perfect in their respective roles, bringing so much personality, humor, and heart to every episode. The office team felt like a real family, and every character had something enjoyable to offer. I also loved how the story blended romance, friendship, and workplace life so naturally without feeling forced, making every episode entertaining from beginning to end.
This drama reminded me why I fell in love with K-dramas in the first place. It is funny, wholesome, romantic, emotional, and filled with lovable characters that stay with you long after the finale. If you're looking for an office rom-com with amazing chemistry, a fantastic cast, and a story that will leave you with a huge smile, I cannot recommend **The Divorce Insurance** enough. Without a doubt, this has earned a place among my all-time favorite office romantic comedy K-dramas, and I will happily rewatch it again in the future.

Happy End, I Want More, Feminism is there!
(Happy Ending)Tbh, I was shocked when he died in ep 32, thoughI predicted it, but I still cried and then was again happy as he reappeared in the end.
They gave us a cute ending with that special, but I would have loved to see how they pretended he was dead, even making a fake funeral and grave! Like only he and his medic knew? Really? He even hid it from his closest aid.
My theory is that the medic saw his body and took it and still saw chances of life, hid him away and tried to heal him these past 4 years, with even taking measures of experimenting on himself. As, as we saw, the medic's hair was almost fully gray and his face showed signs of aging which came from the experiments and Hua Yong only had a few strands of his hair turned grey. Like- he deserves more praise!
I also would loved to see the second couple's twin children and it would have been cool to see them grow up with the mainleads son.

I have never seen a woman cross-dressing as a man so accurately in a drama. Like if not for the voice, I would have believed her! She is on par with Seol In Ah who will act in that upcoming series as a man!
Also, I was soo surprised to finding out the actor of Tian Yuan's (ml's closest aide) real age. Like you are telling me that boy is 15?!! He is a great actor but I feel bad for simping him (though mind you, I am 17, so it should be okay). I usually fawn for elder actors like Lee Sang Yi but this is new. But when I look at his MDL picture, he looks completely for his age. I think due to the heavy make-up in the drama he looks elder, which was probably also intentionally. I thougt he was around 22-24.
Summary, this was really a hella good drama and this is not only my first historical Chinese drama but this is also the first C-drama I watched till the end!!! (besides C-bl)
Bcz usually I never get to finish a C-drama as it's too long and get's boring over time, but in this drama, literally EVERY fricking episode is a dopamine shot into my soul! I loved every ep and I even wish for a second season!
I also loved how women supportive they were! My absolute favourite line from Hua Yong which literally made me watch this entire series:
"Women are poor, they have always been used, .... So I'd rather make use of men *giant smirk* "

Finally a positive message from an LGBTQ series
After living with so much negative portrayals of LGBTQ life, it’s refreshing to watch one that says we can have a happy life with a partner too, even if it may not be without some struggle and discrimination.The actors’ nuanced acting and believability is great; Gemini and Fourth are among the best actors in GMMTV and they are some of the only ones that can take on such serious projects and make it work.

Fast (and sometimes too fast) paced and Fun minidrama
Subjective Gut Rating: 7.75It’s kinda sad to see Zheng Ye Cheng in a minidrama. He’s been around for a long time and his acting is pretty good. But he’s unable to reach the popularity that he deserves. Luckily, it appears he has a few big budget productions on deck.
Without a doubt “Seeds of Scarlet Longing” is a low budget drama. The sets, cinematography, dubbing and a no-name supporting cast all demonstrated that fact. Luckily, the drama is led by two great actors in Zheng Ye Cheng and Zhao Qing. They both really carry the show on their shoulders and run with it.
Zhao Qing plays a very likable female lead, Liang Jiang Zhu. Zhiang Zhu is adorable and innocent, yet smart and not too naive. It’s so easy for me to find such a character annoying, but I don’t. She’s really fun to watch. Zheng Ye Cheng plays a serious and cool Shen Miu, and his acting is great. The two of them have great chemistry and many fun scenes together.
I enjoy the first half of the drama a lot. The pacing is good and the story is fun. Dual cultivation (wink wink) is the talk of town and central to the first half of the drama. We have quite a few kisses (not amazing or horrible). Unfortunately, the second half loses steam a little. This is when it is very obvious that this is a minidrama. The plot becomes more political, yet there’s not enough time to properly execute. Everything feels really rushed and some scenes are missing, or edited weirdly, or just plain skipped. It’s very unfortunate as I was about to give this drama a solid 8.0 before the last ¼ of the drama moves at lightning speed.
Nevertheless, “Seeds of Scarlet Longing” is a short, fast-paced and fun drama. I don’t think I’ve wasted time as I needed a palate cleanser amongst all the toxic and red flags I’ve been watching. I like Zheng Ye Cheng and Zhao Qing’s performances enough to give this drama a 7.5-7.75.

A romance about self-sacrifice and overcoming obstacles in life.
An often dark romance, storylines involved child abuse, mafia life, smuggling, poverty, violence, death, etc. The setting is also more old and run down than the usual slick modern locales seen in other shows. The lead characters also grew up together as step siblings, so they already knew everything about each other, making the romance a bit different than the usual romance where people meet and learn about each other while dating. I feel like the heart of the show is the two lead character's continued willingness to sacrifice themselves for each other as they struggle through life. It was a bit depressing to see some of their struggles, but I think that fans of Zhang Jingyi will be pleased. Especially in the latter episodes she gets a chance to wear some really nice outfits. I would say that the male romantic rival character was truly annoying. Overall, a decent show if you can get over the general darkness of it.Was this review helpful to you?

Pursuit of Jade completely exceeded my expectations. I started watching it out of curiosity, but it quickly became one of my favorite C-dramas. Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei's chemistry is absolutely top-notch, and every emotion they portrayed felt genuine.
The visuals, cinematography, OST, costumes, and acting were all amazing.
Even though some scenes from the novel weren't adapted, the drama still delivered a beautiful story that stayed true to its emotional core. It made me laugh, cry, and root for every character. A drama that's definitely worth watching and one I'll never get tired of recommending. 💕

Strong Start but Flat Last Episodes
Like the title says. I really enjoyed the first half of the show but unfortunatly the last 4-ish episodes I started getting bored. I think it was due to the fact that the one thing holding the female lead back throughout all the episodes was the same. The fact that he still spoke to his ex wife so once it hit like episode 8-9 it was getting too repetitive.I think this show displays quite clear communication trope like misunderstandings were quickly cleared up. Also the fact she was so insecure about his ex was annoying to watch but quite realistic. Like I think I would be insecure too if I were in her shoes.
Anyways acting was fun and I think their chemistry was okay. Not the best but also not the worst. Overall I had a fun time watching.

wtf is with the cliffhanger in ep 24
The whole series was good until you get to ep 24; they end the bloody show on a cliffhanger. Man i really need a bloody season 2 for this show. If they can't give a season 2, at least give an extra episode to completely end the show properly. I will not change the review ontil i get a proper ending.Was this review helpful to you?

It's a little different from traditional Thai gl. It starts with the complexity of a marriage between two people with social difference. This story is a reality check that marriage is not always sunshine and rainbows. It's sometimes cloudy and suffocating too.Being for real... Kingkamol (Runch's mother) should KHS!!

Plot is not well thought out
The plot is rampant with plot holes. There’s no continuity and the characters regress in development/extremely inconsistent. As the story progressed it seemed to unravel more and more. After finishing My Royal Nemesis, I’m left with more questions the answers. Many of the storylines throughout the plot started (often needlessly being included) and were left loose ends.Was this review helpful to you?
One thing the drama deserves its flowers for was the cast. Really good acting across the board. No notes. I’m very impressed and happy to see a consistently strong performance. Besides the main leads, notably, the performance by the actress playing Jahyeon is to be lauded.
The script was decent overall, even if I had some issues with the execution here and there. There was decent dialogue and banter between the main leads as well. The drama’s biggest drawback is that it was overly ambitious without having enough time to fully explore and flesh out both the plot and the characters. Twenty-minute episodes simply weren’t enough to peel back the layers of the characters’ trauma as well as the complex mystery they were trying to weave. I believe this constraint led to some sloppy scene execution in order to keep the plot moving.
I loved the characterization for the most part sans Lee Chaeha and the severely underdeveloped background about his stint as a police officer. Giving such a background to a character and not having any of the qualities of that profession that come with it translate into present time was a great disservice to the character.
I think the strongest selling point for me was Ju Taeseon. He is snarky, witty, and petty. He opens his mouth and you cannot predicts what’s going to come out of it. And the actor did his part very well too. He entertained me from start to end.
The actors’ chemistry also deserves praise. It felt effortless and charming. I really liked the romance, though I would’ve preferred a little more tension. A bit more push and pull, with a slower build-up at the beginning. Again, I think that’s more a consequence of the limited runtime than any lack of chemistry between the actors.
Overall, I was highly entertained so i’ll bump my original rating by 0.5 and give it an 8.

Story is dragged and questionable chemistry
The plot initially seemed interesting and had enough potential to keep me invested, but the execution was disappointing. The biggest issue is the lack of chemistry between the main leads. Their interactions often feel forced and awkward rather than natural, making it difficult to become emotionally invested in their relationship. At times, both actors come across as stiff, and their performances fail to bring the characters to life.One of the lead actresses, in particular, delivers a weak performance. Her expressions and emotional scenes rarely feel convincing, which makes many important moments lose their impact. Instead of enhancing the story, her acting often pulls you out of it.
Another major problem is the repetitive writing. Almost every episode revolves around the same conflicts with the mother-in-law, and after a few episodes, it becomes predictable and exhausting. Rather than developing the characters or introducing fresh storylines, the series keeps recycling the same arguments and misunderstandings.
Overall, the writing feels quite shallow, with underdeveloped characters, repetitive conflicts, and an unacceptable lack of chemistry between the leads. While the premise had promise, the poor execution and uninspiring performances make it difficult to stay engaged.

Engaging
I really enjoy this series. It was quite a journey; it was fun, it was sad, it made me angry, and it had some "huh?" moments that give you pause. The chemistry is on point, and the grandmother character is VIP in my eyes. It is not flawless; I would have loved a bit more character development for the support cast.The world-building was good; the acting was engaging as you could relate with the main cast's struggles. The OST was superb, especially the Tattoo Colour song "Just Still... (have you)".
