Cute and captivating story

This drama is for those who love to laugh, it's a romantic comedy, Dong En is witty, cute, funny, true to herself, girl boss and Lou Yuan is a wonderful man, arrogant CEO but not rude, behind that layer is a romantic and common man. The two complement each other, even though at some points I was discouraged about the story, the best part was always the two of them together, they fit together a lot, they go through difficulties together and grew a lot, a romance that matured over time, cute!!.

Hot n meeeh

This is a drama that takes you on a journey of insecurity and dives in to the minds of the two leads with kind of theatrical affects making it at times hard to distinguish between the inner and outer world...

The supporting characters in this do one hell of a job supporting the main story, and saying what the audiance is thinking. And the tension and physical scenes between the leads is hotter than pyrolysis... or I don't know a car left out in a dessert during a heatwave... But between those scenes I find myself feeling nothing... As if something is missing without knowing what is actually missing? It could be a loack of build up and interactions between the leads, or jumping from one relationship to another type of deal... or maybe it is the lack of communication... or all of the above plus something more.

That said the drama was indeed a J-drama a bit different than most things I have seen, an easy binge... Also the styling of the whole cast was lovely!

I didn't like the ending

I liked the series overall. However, there were many mistakes. There were childish things. Mistakes that I said would not be made were made. Mistakes were made. Why did the screenwriter think of writing this, how did the director shoot this? I put a lot of effort into this in some places. I looked for the reason and couldn't find it. It seemed illogical. There were so many that I wish I could write them down. My comment will be very long and will not fit into the pages. I had set my grade as 9 from the beginning. However, I made a note. I gave it 8. In that anger, I thought of giving it a 6. There were mistakes that shouldn't have happened that depressed me so much that I even stopped watching. I didn't like the ending scenes either. It could have ended better and more positively. An emperor who was so ungrateful, unworthy of the throne, and shot everyone behind his back should at least have been sent away. Those who supported him in his shadow had to flee. Such an ending did not suit the finale. What I liked. I liked the actors. I liked the shot. The images were beautiful. The scenes were shot well. The story was well thought out, but great mistakes, irresponsibility and simplicity were made while scripting it. I do not like. But still, for the sake of integrity, it was a good watch for me.
I liked the acting of the master actor Peter Ho. the most. He added to his role. He played well. Even a reward may be given. Some may find it simple. He showed such an acting. I liked it very much. He was the real lead of the series. Zeng Li. I love him very much. It seemed very little to me, but even in that little view he proved his mastery. Was very good. Dylan Wang looks older than he is. It looks like that. He has very smooth facial features and knows how to make himself look great, proud and arrogant. Maybe I expected better from Chen Yu qi, one of my favorite actors, but he was still good in my opinion. No bad. It may have fallen below expectations. I loved. I wish it were better.Guan Chang. was very good. He knows how to show himself off. He assimilated his role and played it well. Veteran actor Shi Yu, for example, did that eunuch role very well. He successfully portrayed the scenes of the emperor's death as a result of his manipulation of the emperor, regretting his mistakes, and eventually deviating from the emperor's personality due to his mistakes. I like those who add role to their role. That's how I saw it. That's why I liked it. These actors are the ones who enlarge their simple roles. I also liked Wang Yu Xin. He Nan.da was exceptionally good at the beginning of the drama. Then his role ended and he disappeared. So the players were good. Would I watch it again? Very difficult. I was a little angry at the mistakes and simplicity made. I probably won't watch it. Have a nice time.

Confused ,Did i like it or not

A girl entered to the video game . As we already saw in many other dramas . Similarly here also . The virl entered to the video game and tried to change the plot . What we had seen in other drama that unknowingly girl entered to the video game and change the plot according to her action or she had been instructed by somebody else . Here was a person who made by coding .Here it was not controlled by other but started took actions according to its intelligence. The girl always tried to save that person and had became the virus of the game . At the end she had accepted the reality and was trying to live happily. At the end she had seen someone who looked like it . Now questions were it was the real person or video game's one .
If i put my mind into this drama then so many questions would arise and make the drama somewhat insane.
But if i put my heart to it then i like the drama because it was a love story and i like love stories.
Actors were good.

Sweet

This was a very sweet show.
The story revolves around a woman who can hear lies and a man who's running from a painful secret in his past.
She's cute and quirky.
He's the greenest of green flags; a real sweetheart.

I loved watching her slowly open up to the people around her and making friends.
I adored seeing him fall for her, instinctively protecting her and taking care of her.

Their relationship is so wonderful. Sweet and cuddly.

The mystery hurt me bad though. I feel so bad for our male lead. Thank goodness he has the female lead there for him.
He came through it all stronger than ever.
The ending is lovely and perfect. They both deserve their happily ever after, and we get to see it!!

The actors did a fine job. The music was okay. The shooting was great.

Although this show is not short, it is the type of show I'd watch in one sitting with a blanket and hot drink, smiling all the way. The overall impression is sweet and cozy.

Cinderella/Mary Sue, but watchable business romance to watch Chengdu

This drama, despite its annoying Mary Sue trope, was enjoyable, especially the light-hearted part until it got "serious" between Lou Yuan and Dong DongEn, and the antagonists appeared, first the reluctant "cousin" of the malicious business competitor Su Qi, who is the instrument of the crisis in the four last episodes, and next the jealous "childhood neighbor" who is the cause of much grief. We knew of course, as soon as she appeared, stalking into the company on her high heels, that she was up to no good, so we were concerned as audience about En's naiveté to work with her... The cousin was also a case where En was too trustful, but she couldn't see what we saw of her link to Su Qi, and she did own up to her misdeed when the crisis broke for the 82 company she was a part of.

But that gives a balance to the light hearted part, introducing more serious concerns about how ordinary people still might be targeted by cyberbullying, the dangers it brings and how to react. Interesting also to see that perhaps offices ought to be routinely security checked for spying devices, that many can buy easily and conceal, also in homes! My surprise was that we almost saw no police involvement, except in the field where En was assaulted by club wielding thugs (even then, the mere mention of them and sound of police car alarm was enough to send the thugs packing). There are some very lawfully reprehensible acts in these last episodes, so, shall we see all these rotten turtle eggs get slapped with sentences? To be continued...

About cast and crew, I looked into the Baidu page to check about dubbing, but no voice actor is listed for any in the cast, despite there is a mention of dubbing directors (Li Jiasi, Yu Mengci) ; this could indicate that actors and actresses dubbed themselves, as is more and more the case. A commenter noted an unusual accent for one of the members of 82 company. I rather liked Xu Lu even when she was using the coaxing voice in the beginning.

Where and when was this filmed : Baidu informed that it started shooting on October 20, 2021, and was completed January 5, 2022. I will add that this was in Chengdu, as many stills in the drama show, and the episode 17 stroll in the old quarter there. I had received a small Mid autumn festival greeting in the form of a short video of the drones show celebration there on Sept.29 evening, and I appended a small GIF of it to the songs (OST and Hero song) pinned with links to listen in the Discussion section (above Comments). You will recognize the twin towers that often appear over the crossroad views in the drama. Enjoy!

Now for the review with minor spoilers of the end episodes and my thoughts about what the drama aimed at.

----
In my opinion, the end episodes were logical. They show how the need for revenge by calling for the police can sometimes be detrimental to reputation and happiness. So, sometimes, without letting go like in just naive forgiveness, it is indeed better to turn former enemies into allies if not real friends. We knew the "cousin" betrayer had qualms, and now that she had seen the light and regretted, she would be a wholehearted addition to the team, especially after the « test » prepared for her by 82.

Su Qi was a scorpion who lost his stinger, so he couldn’t do damage but indeed help trap the real puppetmaster; Lou Yuan was astute in realizing that the tables could be turned against that shadow figure. Su Qi’s plans to convert through launching a new, cleaner business, was in line with the idea that wrongdoers must, if possible, reform through useful work. It would not have been better if he ended up in prison. He knew his faults and as the scorpion who lost his stinger, would now work as an ordinary dung carrying beetle, useful for gardens, Voluntarily better than fruitless coerced punishment.

The annoying "other woman" leech chose to expatriate: good riddance. In ancient times, that was how some condemned officials were treated : exile to distant countries. She acts like she has other prospects, but we know how much of a liar and a braggart she was. Marry someone else in another country ? How? Online dating? Good luck for her. I think she only said that to piss off her mom, who was appalled at the shamelessness of that offspring. That old biddy had abetted her daughter's schemes, but probably not realized how stupid it was, since in the end, it meant she was punished too through the loss of her old friendship with Lou mom and perhaps even her own subservient position in the company too.

The actress friend of DongEn had already realized that she couldn't go on with her guy : it was reasonable for them to break off early after they knew they were really physically incompatible, even though they liked each other. Mutual agreement divorce can be a solution to keep good opinions about each other when the way ahead is blocked.

The solving of the cyberharassment case contributed to the return of young Han, with his father realizing that the investment could be good for his company and train his son in another way to, in distant future if the old man could stay at the helm long enough, inherit Han group, with 82 as a de facto (but nominally independent) subsidiary. Like Taiwan to China perhaps ?

I was less taken by the endless lovey dovey Cinderella and Mary Sue tropes, and expectation of weddings etc. But the romance was aware of these pitfalls and aimed at adult and reasonable: the gap in social position and earnings was indeed a concern that the two had to find a way to circumvent. I am satisfied that Lou Yuan was true to his pledge to face the difficulties with his chosen soulmate, Miles Wei and Xu Lu were an unlikely pair, but they pulled off their role adequately, if not overwhelmingly oozing with sugar syrup. The renewed proposal was, by the exchange it staged, witnessed by "found family" rather in line with the expected marriage.
The old lady Lou and her laughters provided much light-heartedness, so even if she appeared as a blundering, even though well-meaning, elder past her edge, she added the necessary sauce at times. We could have expected another match with her former sweet love, but the story is enough as it stands. The ending did not feel rushed: it was only logical and fitting the last twists.

So were any wrongdoers dragged to prison? Yes, and it was on the televised news that old Mrs Lou was so happy to watch. A slew of bad citizens got caught : the rotten competitor, and the cyberbullying ringmaster. It solved the defamation case of the Lou's products, while emphasizing the importance that the Chinese now put on food products quality control. Frozen meat can indeed be as toxic as milk laced with melamine, and the authorities are not going to let go of crimes of that sort. That does not mean the other crimes and wrongdoings would not be punished if they were brought clearly to justice attention (several actors and actresses have won cases against their cyberbullies or stalkers). But when the wrongdoers agree to punish themselves and reform, it saves time and resources for authorities, so pragmatically, this is better. Chinese dramas have an explicit agenda to further a public conception of "morality" and set a compass for solving problems through voluntary reform action and-self criticism (not necessarily broadcasting a public apology nor groveling like the mole did, which Lou Yuan rightfully realized was not natural, but could be further attempt at entrapment).

As for personal and sentimental interaction, they mostly stay quite conventional. Couples have to get committed and marry on sound basis of values that can be estimated by price (house, car, salary, jewelry...) and there is indeed an expectation that if the social status is different, the difference in balance should be compensated somehow : either through education, or through successful position in a company or line of work. Cinderella stories are therefore not realistic. This one was teetering between full fairy tale and down to earth depiction. Not totally successful perhaps.

I was more interested in the business parts promised by the title, although the « service angle » was a bit clumsily depicted. Watching it from the point of view of an illustration of what were the underlying values, and the indirect demonstration that individual worth cannot be separated from societal one. It is another concept of civilization that is the backbone of such stories, which are in line with "capitalism with socialist characteristics" : the policy which has helped the country navigate the U turn from poverty to increasing comfort, making it into a global powerhouse, world player in the emergent BRICS. China has over a few decades become a place to build ever higher and ambitious buildings (as we see from the Chengdu cityscapes glimpsed now and then, and the layout of offices and homes; the products placement were less obvious, probably built in pauses on public television) . Building ever higher dreams, not giving up in case of business wars. It was also a topic that was present in the news at the time of filming.

We can see how this illustrates in some way what was on their mind : the reaction of Chinese citizens and Huawei company to the return of Ms Meng to China as a hero in December 2021, after having been slandered and bullied into house arrest in a country she thought was friendly, and the subsequent turn to domestic resources to rebuild Huawei as again a leader in its group, surprising all those who thought that company dead. This is the Hero song's real meaning: it can translate into a lot, and is the symbol of the "Hao Han" in every business domain now, striving for excellence and justice without relying on Court's orders first, but striving also to stay in line with the country's goals.

Hello, I am At Your Service is an Ok business & romance C-drama in my opinion, although many things in the story could be foreseen too easily. So, it is not a masterpiece but, quite watchable. Many spoilers were given in comments, and the clues and previews were probably too revealing to properly keep the suspense elements intact. I watched it disregarding the comments section until I had watched it all, in 3 sittings. The light-hearted first half part was often fun, while the more serious one after the couple formed and problems cropped up, was mixing the expected hope, disappointment, disgust and despair, on the background of the commercial war that had some mildly thrilling twists.

Because of those, I'd rate the drama as for general public over 14, but more for mature audience that isn't looking for just another love story first. Of course, it will appeal to those who like Miles Wei and/or Xu Lu, despite it is not their best drama.

There are a few sweet songs (links in Discussion), and the one Hero song (original by Liu Han for a 1998 drama version of “The Water Margin” epic classic) which got a fun twist in the end episode, in line with the way songs can be used in such setting.

Me watching ?????????????

Here are my thoughts on this drama:

This hot mess, 'Circle of Love,' is enjoyable if you enjoy slap/kiss dramas and don't take it seriously. I would not recommend this if you're looking for fluffy, fun drama. However, if you want something wild, toxic, and sensational, this is the one for you. On a Thai slap/kiss scale, this drama is below mid; on a Chinese one, it is a good one, maybe one of the best. I honestly laugh throughout this drama, I was only silent at the ending, because I was shocked the writers did what I wanted, what a perfect ending.

The themes of revenge, blood feuds, amnesia, and toxic relationships are similar to Maid Revenge. The leads have hot chemistry; their kisses and steamy scenes are delightful. Overall, if you liked Maid's Revenge, you'll like this too because of its similar theme, better acting, a smarter female lead, and more steamy scenes. If you're looking for something wild with a little twist and shocks for some, you'll probably enjoy it. However, don't take it too seriously and watch it for entertainment value. There are some sadistic characters in this. Yes, ML is a sadist, maybe FL too, she might also masochist because someone of her actions is questionable. Every character is hot mess, but enjoyable, one thing this drama is not is boring.

It may contain spoilers:

In this drama, all the characters are morally gray, one of its most appealing aspects. The characters are interesting, and the story keeps you engaged until the end. I predicted most deaths in this show except the 2FL I was actually shocked; and yes, I predicted the murder-suicide ending, so fitting for such a drama. It is hands down one of my favorite endings, which is why I would rate this a 9. without that ending, maybe an 8 or an 8.5.

Might be rewatchable for some, but one and done for me.

Pick it when you need it! It will be a huge comfort for you!

The first time writing a review but I felt the need to write one because of all the negative comments.
I'll list some facts here that made me love this drama

What made it different from other Romcom:
1- Smooth romance without unnecessary breakups or misunderstandings between the main leads.
2- many romantic scenes, almost every ep after ep 8 and they are satisfactory, so wait for it and don't drop it
3- the main leads were clear about their feelings and didn't care about the people opinion
4- their feeling developed quickly without hesitation, non of them tried to avoid the relationship or deny it from the beginning to the end (for example the FL didn't get scared because the ML is from a higher level, and the ML didnt get scared that his family might oppose)
5- Very positive, which you is sth need when you are tired from everyday life, this drama will surely comfort you especially if you watched it before you sleep.
6- strangely the father didn't resist the relationship a lot and he quickly accepted
7- the OSTs are all amazing
8- it resemble a sweet and somehow realistic love story which everyone one dream to experience.
9- The trust and honesty between the main leads is amazing they depended on each others supported and loved each others despite the problems they faced throughout the drama.
( i really love how they didn't break up when their relation was revealed and also when the FL saw the ML with his potential fiancé, she believed him and didnt misunderstand)
10- again solving the problems easily was a positive point for the drama in my opinion because sometimes you get tired from how other dramas complicate each problem and spend many episodes it so this drama can be resting area for you.

But I have to say that I skipped some parts which were mostly about the father and the sister and their unnecessary problems, they really didn't add anything to the story.

So all in all, what I want to say is that when other people think that the simplicity of this drama is what made it bad i believe that it is exactly the opposite, the smooth happy and honest relationship and the sincere acting of the main leads made it a perfect choice for a comforting drama.

YOU NEED TO WATCH IT!

On the first episodes, I barely have interest in it. But as I progressed watching, I started to like it. Though what's bothering me is the age of Bai Zong Yi since he's portraying a minor. Normally, I don't have interest in BL with minor characters but this is a table turner for me. And for the story line, I am loving how it progresses plus the overview keeps me hooked to watching what will happen next and I can't wait for the next episode to air already!

Overall, it's a good series with a pinch of comedy. You should watch it too!

They promised too many things...

...to the point that promises became meaningless.

Teh ruined Oh-aew in this sequel. The jealousy and misunderstandings I can look past, but Teh's dishonesty and disloyalty was just so bad that it icked me. I would've understood if they were still the same elemetary kids they were in Phuket, but they are grown ups now. And yes, making mistakes in a relationship is inevitable, but it's not that hard to not fuck up big time. I really feel for Oh-aew.

Though as expected, bkpp has once again done it. Great great job, boys! :)

Loved it - Wished it was longer

When I started this one, I wasn't sure where it was going to take us. When it was over, I wished they had given us more.

While Chinese rom-coms and dramas drag things out to 48 episodes with the main characters learning nothing and going through everything imaginable - BLs still tend to be 3 hour movies chopped into small segments and called a series. That's okay...baby steps.

A few faults in continuity - but, forgivable. No real time tracking for us. What day is it? How much time has passed? What led our characters to think and act the way they do/did? Enquiring minds want to know...

I really felt for everyone. The feelings and reactions seemed very true. This is where I wanted more detail. What was the result of A, B, or, C?

Characters:

Lee Yoon Soo was the most developed. You knew everything you needed to know about him. He knew who he was. You know where his passion lies. You know enough of his story to be believable - and, one you can invest yourself in. You want him to succeed.

Jung Do Hoon's details needed some tweaking. He shows an interest in girls in every scene he is around other groups and people but, he's okay with exploring another side of himself? This is where we needed help in how much time has passed. It could have been solved with the reason he focuses on work so much and just lives to work is because he really doesn't know who he wants to be with and can't understand why any attempts at a relationship always fail.

I have seen this successfully pulled off in a few other BLs where the guy has many one night stands or, starts new relationships with girls but, they always end/fail. I loved the way this was handled in Theory of Love. Khai - being rich - was able to hide his failed attempts at relationships by being a jerk. The attention would focus on his actions rather than, why he wouldn't let a relationship proceed past quick and easy sex. When the girls wanted more from him - he would put an end to it. When he found out Third really loved him - he went into fear and acted the only way he knew how - and the writers remembered to put that in Khai's words to Third.

Jung Do Hoon needed to come to terms with himself while we got to watch and cheer him on. As with many BLs - we only get to see the beginning of their relationship and have to guess the rest.

Now, that this company has three BLs under their belt - do like MAME and give us story continuations through new BLs. Let's see the characters a couple years later getting married or, being a small part of the new couple's lives. We want to know.

Loved the side characters - would have loved to learn more about them so, we could connect. As the money and product placement grows - we will see longer BLs. I love that in Wedding Plan - they landed The Arches.

Wonderful romantic Drama

If it weren't for the constant screaming, the loud music and some inconsistencies, like the coma patient who gets up in bed after 20 years and kneels down - I would have given it 10 points.

I liked the story idea and it was very entertaining and time runs while watching.
The main actors and even the supporting acts did a great job.

The only thing that was really annoying was the constant screaming from the main actress. I like her, but that was too much.
I also thought the main character was great and cute, but I had a crush on assistant Ahn 🥰

Watch it, if you like romantic fiction.

You're better off finding something better elsewhere...

Another one from the Goguryeo cinematic universe under-delivering its climax and ending. How could they be so incapable of producing anything but a lukewarm finale! Anyway, the drama itself was plagued by an unnecessary garbage love triangle overshadowing the story. Also, it had this habit of forcing everyone to be paired up with someone. This drama is the weakest and the worst out of the Goguryeo cinematic universe.
