Another sweet story from Dilireba & Gong Jun... Very interesting for Gong Jun to get like reverse role from his character in Word of Honor, where WoH he's so flirty & here he more the shy one & Dilileba is the flirty one..

OK. Just like every drama this drama also have good & bad point. Let's talk about them. Oh BTW the bad point gonna write some big spoiler, so if you don't want to read just skip it then. But as usual I gonna write the safe review first.

The good part:
+ The chemistry between Gong Jun & Dilireba, I really like it. The flirty Dilireba match with shy Gong Jun is so good....
+ Good story that don't really bored you. Haha... There's always something happen when you think it's peaceful time already.
+ An Le & Han Ye really meant to be together. Hihi...

The not so good part:
- Everything just too pretty in the end. I don't know how to describe it, not that I don't like it too actually. Just too pretty...
- The stupid Luo Ming Xi (MX). Oh how poor of him. But that's the tragedy he bring himself.

Overall this quite good story to watch

The Spoiler part:
- I think the ending kinda rush in a way. There're 2 point in this actually:
* How easy to capture Leng Bei (LB). Oh how in the end he kinda just give up & surrender to An Le & MX. Not even try to resist & fight till the end kinda thing. That in my opinion more fit with the character of LB himself.
* How unimportant the death of MX. I know he died cause of his long time illness & something predictable. But after the weeping death of MX by An Le earlier, I kinda want to see something special about his actual dead Like at least give him proper burial or mourning scene...
- I don't know to put this into bad or good. They're just too clever. Haha... Like how to help An Le escape & how to rescue Wen Shuo. When both MX & Han Ye just still teenage boy himself is something extraordinary I think

heartfelt show

one of the better firefighting shows i have seen. love love both leads with great acting. i thought it would be weird or less chemistry between them since the show portrayed their relationship with a significant age gap, but it actually turns out ok.
i enjoyed JSC character development when he is at work and also when is in love. i can tell he is really passionate about his job and also a very honest & humble guy. XL is a good combination with a guy like JSC and the chase was although cliche but fluffy and cute. i can recommend this if u are into non toxic, cute romance with a good mix of firefighting elements kinda drama!

good firefighting scenes, anything else is meh

i watched this after A Date With the Future which was also another firefighting show as both are aired around the same period. i must say I have really high hopes for this as compared to the latter because of Yang Yang. but after watching this, it's really hard not to say that even the cast cant carry a bad plot/ character.

right from the start, i didn't liked song yan. his character was not likeable not even in his own team. the only thing that made him better was his bromance with suo jun (my fav character played by zhang bin bin but too bad he was just a small role - his story was very much more interesting than ML). although there are a few questionable scenes that made me doubt song yan as a best friend. for more than half the show, i barely seen song yan express any form of emotions, it is as though he is at the top of the world. him as a firefighter leader, hmmm very strict with the people, there's always scenes of him doing some stunts to which everyone else cannot do btr. him as a lover? almost bland. female lead was fiercely chasing male lead and confessing her love but doesnt really apologise & explain for what her/her family have done? i dont really feel any sadness/pity between their love story. ML was showing her a black face half the time/ if not rude and i lost track of when he started to realise he still likes FL(?). wang chu ran is ok as an actress but doesn't really bring out her role as a doctor. hardly any chemistry as pace of the show is quite strange.

plus point for this show would be the firefighting scenes are quite well done.. i would skip the romance. nothing too in depth on song yan's character development with other people too. it's a barely pass show for me.

Indescribable feeling

Credits to the producer and team for coming up with a new concept to the kvariety shows.

While we do have zombie episodes once in a while in the current suite of kvariety (running man, the zone s1 and s2, great escape etc), it’s new to see a variety program dedicating an entire 8 episodes on escaping zombies.

The scale of the program is HUGE: ranging from the amount of zombies “hired”, the guest actors that appeared in some of the episodes, the venue where the variety was filmed, the effects, the cast etc shows how much effort was put into this.

I finished the 8 episodes but I still cannot tell if I like the show or not.

The show is not scripted so you get to see the cast at their very “raw” selves. It was good to see how the cast adapts to such extreme circumstances (escape or get bitten).

However, it was really hard to be fully immersed into the show because logically it’s hard to make sense. It’s either kill or be killed situations, but because the zombies are after all cast themselves, the only method to escaping zombies became nothing but bodychecking them (they tried to have some weapons at the later part of the show but…)

The satisfaction that one may get from killing zombies that you see in dramas such as Kingdom, walking dead are all non-existent in the show.

In fact, this could be the mildest zombie show I ever watched. And there are some instances where even the cast cracked up during filming because the entire situation is just so bizarre.

But what came as a surprise to me, was that despite the fact I was struggling to be immersed into the show, I was able to finish all 8 episodes because I became so intrigued on the outcome.

At some point I am watching to see how the ending would be, like: will Dex and Siyoung be able to survive this? Will there be more variating factors etc?

To me, zombieverse became less of a variety show that I enjoyed, but more like a problem that I want to know what’s the outcome going to be like.

This program is really an acquired taste. Either you like it or you don’t.
I personally don’t really liked it, but would I watch season2 if it’s out? Likely yes.

could have done much better

When I first heard that this webtoon is going to be made into a drama i was overjoyed.....
See you in my 19th life was a webtoon with a unique and amazing storyline and the plot was unpredictable
The drama didn't do justice to the original story
I was really excited that this was gonna be a shin se kyung drama cuz she's one of my all time favorites but unfortunately her potential was not explored fully
This drama could have definitely gone till a 9 but the poor production and execution just couldn't cut it for me
Also the osts or background music choices are soo bad....such small things are what set the mood
They did stray away a bit from the original storyline of the webtoon but it wasn't all bad
Also this was supposed to be a romantic drama but the romance was just not emphasized enough and at times you would feel like it has nothing to do with the romance part
Overall this was a drama with an amazing cast and could have done soo much better
The only reason for anyone to watch it would be the actors or the original webtoon but definitely not what they have made the drama to be.
The only plus points here are that this is a short 12 episode drama and that it would promote webtoon and the original see you in my 19th life,

A mix of penthouse and sky castle

The drama is a mixture of a lot of things....while this may be a good thing when executed well but here it wasn't.
They just tried to include everything from elementary schools and female jealousies to secret kids and brothels. Honestly I feel like they just tried to put in too much in one place.....also there were quite a few ends that were not tied properly and like if you've stretched the damn drama till 16 episodes might as well give a better happier ending.....
It did give off sky castle and penthouse to me with the writing and execution but maybe it's just me...
Overall I would say it was good enough for a one time watch...they could have made it better and shorter had they reduced a couple elements.....
Nevertheless a good one time watch

a miniseries that surprised me!!

Well i just finished it, For me, the last episode was disappointing. I felt that many things were missing and that it was a bit rushed (that's why I never like to finish watching a series, especially the last episodes), and since it's a miniseries, some things were a bit fast (in almost all episodes) But the visuals were the best, all the characters were very cute, and they acted very well, I really liked Mind's character since I had never seen a girl who does boxing, (clearly I'm talking about BL) who knows how to defend herself , she doesn't let people intimidate her easily and she's like more responsible and mature, her personality is just perfect, in terms of the story, not bad, but I didn't like it very much either. and lastly to be honest I thought it would be worse, but it really exceeded my expectations (except at the end), so I say you should give it a chance, if you don't like it you can always stop watching it :)

another endless chinese drama

I came to watch this just for the ML, who was sooo breath-taking in "Advance Bravely"... He is still OK in this, and i also discovered the excellent FL, but the whole picture sucks! It's sooo long and boring and it takes ages for something to happen. Also a lot of secondary unnecessary actions and characters keep popping up, so i decided to give up after trying my best (with skip button put to hard work).
The director totally ignored the ML's acting skills and sense of humour... He is just walking around looking (average) good.
My time is worth more than watching this slowest-paced drama.

Fun and fluff

Exclusive Fairytale is a take on the old childhood friends to lovers trope that chinese dramas seem to thrive on. While it might not be winning awards for its relatively simple plot, it is a very good watch if you're in a slump.

The entire drama mocks fun at certain tropes - ML trying for a kabedon only to be thrown into the lake, or the fangirling for Jun lol. The chemistry between the leads and the second leads are rather good. It is a pretty lighthearted story for when you just want some fun and fluff.

They exchange a lot of fluids

I DID NOT expect to like or even finish this cdrama. From the beginning the writing looked childish, cringe and over the top with plot holes, needless teen angst and not so convincing characters.

But this is my first xia-xia (I think?) and maybe I was drawn to the tropes of the genre? I need to watch more to decide I guess.

So here are the reasons I ended up binge watching this: there is a fairly developed world building, many side characters that are interesting and have actual arcs and relationships between them, the angst between the protagonists is real (I felt so bad for poor ugly Kui Mulang who was constantly rejected by his love interest) and I think they approached the story as a spoof. The whole affair was so fluffy and unserious that made the series a breeze to watch.

two young people trying to come to terms with commitment and love.

First of all the aesthetics of the mundane lives of artists was so beautiful. the filming locations were so cozy and the cinetography was amazing, the music also matched perfectly and pulls together an over all romantic melancholy feeling. leaves you with such a pit feeling in your stomach like you just relived the hardest emotional trials in your life. It feels so realistic that the story could be told to you by a friend in day to day life.. It does indeed drag by the middle end, and the ended is up to how you'd interpret it I feel that it's still realistic no relationship starts pretty, they both decided to take a change on eachother and finally be honest with eachother and I think that's beautiful, they accepted eachother through all the hurt they cased eachother (she caused him just as much pain in uncertainty then he did to her and he was honest the entire time she knew what he was about.)
But if you're expecting what the webtoon gives you I would just count it as it's own entity separate from the webtoon because the endings are very different and they made the male lead go in a very different direction and I like him better in the kdrama hahaha who wouldn't honestly!!
The butterfly stuff was so pretty, I just loved how it added to the overall aesthetic and its just through and through a cozy yet emotional watch!!
p.s. I loved all of the side characters so much! Bitna was my favorite in the side characters!! But, I didn't see the chemistry in the 2nd love interest to Nabi but that may just be me lol (I cant even remember his name) honestly any other person didn't have the chemistry with Nabi that Jaeon did, they had an undeniable connection, they just needed to figure out how to grow up and properly treat eachother!!
any way it's toxic because they're immature but I think they grow by finally being honest with eachother and I wished them a beautiful future together by the end.

Ugly alert's ugly truth

The First 10 or so episodes are done phenomenally, it evokes so much emotion and had me crying a lot.
The child actors are fantastic and as hard as it is to pull through i wish the adults carried over the young actor's traits , but i couldn't see that in them.
The lead's story is the one made me stick to the drama around 40 episodes , after that it got down right boring.
I pushed myself to kept watching till episode 60 hoping it turn out good , sadly none of the side stories were interesting which made the drama so skippable.
I was frustrated and started skipping every 10 episodes of the 60th to no surprise i have not felt i missed anything at all when i went from 70 to 80 to 90 to 100 till 132.
As a silver lining the last's episodes last scene got me on emotional tears, where all of them back to their childhood home with kids of their home and playing with spraying water just like in the beginning episodes made me choke a little .
I had high hopes on this drama as it was portrayed one of the best in the long format dramas, But this does not come close to "My only one", "I have a lover", "My golden life" .
