Just Watch!

I don't have words to describe it; this drama has truly touched my heart in ways I couldn't have imagined. As the name suggests, it's an incredible source of happiness! From the very first episode, I found myself captivated by its charm, and with each passing moment, it kept getting better. The story follows a beautiful and heartwarming journey of love, friendship, and self-discovery.

The characters are so endearing that I couldn't help but become emotionally invested in their lives. Their interactions and chemistry are simply adorable, and the way they support and care for each other is a breath of fresh air compared to other dramas filled with unnecessary rivalries and separations.

Moreover, the drama's portrayal of everyday life and relationships feels so relatable. It doesn't rely on grand gestures or over-the-top melodramatic scenes; instead, it finds beauty in the simple and tender moments shared between the characters. It's a refreshing departure from the typical clichés and keeps you hooked throughout.

A bit frustrating but, forgivable

This drama/rom-com has the makings of being one of the better ones of 2023 but, they have wasted entire episodes on fluff.

Do we really need a 4 minute slo mo video of people playing in a fountain when there is so much story out there to be covered? And, why spend so much time on showing them put up with instead of enjoying their visit to another country??

The assistant - simply there for comedic relief is equally irritating in his level of overbearingness and ignorance to what is going on around him. Not complaints - but, frustrations. Him in charge of the Thailand trip truly made it a waste of their time and money. All for what HE wanted to do.

I can understand fast forwarding through Chinese rom-coms where we have to wait for the character's transformation from clown to actual human but, not for King the Land.

I did love that the ex-wife stayed her ground and put the father back in his place when he attempted to get close to her. I felt the sister's transformation was just about perfect. She stayed very well protected but, did let down a few of her guards.

Loved how they handled the finally getting together. He let her do what she wanted and was always there to support her - up to and including going to work for her. That was a nice touch.

My concern - though glossed over - was the board. They always agreed with her - going for the fast dollar. Why would you keep any of those around with her gone? Small concern but, could have easily been handled with a mention of cleaning house or, some discussion as to how things would proceed and be either onboard or, you know where the door is.

Is This Open Ended For Season 2?

The Eighth Sense" is a binge-worthy series that had me glued to the screen, and I'm grateful for that. The show delves into some traumatic arcs, which I'm relieved I could handle better by watching it in one go..

The story follows Ji Hyun, a new student from a peaceful rural town, as he navigates the bustling city life of Seoul. At university, he meets Jae Won, who has just completed military service. Ji Hyun joins the surf club to get closer to Jae Won. Their shared love for surfing brings them together, and as they spend time in the surf club, their feelings for each other deepen. However, after a shared kiss during a surfing trip, Jae Won acts distant, leaving Ji Hyun puzzled about their connection. We soon learn about the trauma Jae Won is coping with through glimpses of his therapy sessions. As their friendship grows, Jae Won opens up his heart to Ji Hyun, and they start a relationship. But a surfing accident triggers Jae Won's regression into his trauma, and he ends up ghosting Ji Hyun. The series takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions as we witness their journey to reconcile and get back together.

What sets "The Eighth Sense" apart is that it is its portrayal of flawed characters, depicting the complexities without relying on major redemption arcs. Instead, it shows us how people deal with their imperfections in a realistic and manageable way, reflecting real-life struggles. The ending is semi-happy, steering away from unrealistic rainbows and unicorns, leaving room for interpretation and a potential season 2. "The Eighth Sense" captivates with its heartfelt storytelling and a touch of authenticity that keeps you emotionally invested until the very end.

The best horror this year

Alright, let's talk about "Revenant"
First things first, this show is seriously intense! It's got murder, mystery, and enough plot twists to make your head spin faster than a merry-go-round. I couldn't tear my eyes away for a single second!

The main character, Park Min-woo, is a total badass detective with a dark past. He's on the hunt for a creepy serial killer, and let me tell you, these murders are like something out of a horror movie! They had me on the edge of my seat, screaming, "Who did it? Tell me, damn it!"

The suspense is off the charts! Every episode leaves you hanging, dying to know what happens next. And just when you think you've cracked the case, BAM! They hit you with a mind-blowing twist that leaves you shook.

The cast is brilliant – they bring their A-game to the table. You'll be rooting for the good guys, booing the bad guys, and constantly changing your mind about who's behind all the chaos.

Visually, "Revenant" nails it! The dark and eerie vibe adds a whole new level of creepiness. I swear, I felt like I was right there, investigating the crime scenes myself!

And let's not forget the psychological aspect – it's mind-boggling! They dive deep into the characters' minds, uncovering secrets you never saw coming. It's like peeling back layers of an onion – you never know what you'll find!

In a nutshell, "Revenant" is a rollercoaster of emotions.

Slow paced with a good character development

The story was derived from the point of view of the bestfriend Jiang Nansun.
It's was annoying at first few episodes due to slow paced. Once the characters was gradually introduced, each characters showed their strength and flaws.
Zhu Suo Suo is the most misjudged character, maybe because the revelation of her character was slow, but once it was revealed her character was spontaneous and you can easily find out what kind of person she is, what's her life since little and why she's acting like a money hungered adult.
Jiang Nansun on the other hand is the opposite, she's pampered and she lack nothing. At first I find her annoying because of the ways she's attached to her boyfriend who has no disposition in life. As her father gradually fell into a bottomless pit because of a pile of debts, Nansun became a vulnerable and unpredictable character. Although she learned her lessons the hard way, it's worth it, she grew up into a formidable woman ready for all the challenges.
Ye Jinyan is a character who hid his pain because of his daughter's passing. Because of this he treated Suo Suo differently and nobody knows the reason but he is not romantically involved with the girl, he just looked up to her as a reminder of his daughter.
Wang YongZheng is one complex character and Tony Yang acted well.
I love the rapport between Fan Jingang and Suo Suo as well as how she treated Yang Ke.
Acting wise, this drama was cast by good actresses and actors. They did justice to their character.
Cinematography indeed adds up to beautify the story.
The musical score gave a good impact too. You can feel the mood of every scene.
For me, the writers did their job well, but one point I notice is that they wanted to create the flaw in the story so they make these two main leads keep their financial situation from the people close to them. They don't want to involved more people. They want to face the adversities by themselves. For me, it's the flaw of the story. It's understandable to cast a lot of people but I found some unnecessary characters or those not suitable for some reason.
I noticed that every person that each character met in the early part of the story will later be a permanent part in the latter part of the story.
This story has a lot of flaws but to me, I don't mind it because I felt the story is realistic with lots of good moral lessons. They consolidate friendship, romance, business, family matter and sexual harassment in office setting which to others may seemed too much but I really liked it.
A lot complains about the ending but for me it's acceptable, the type of ending I really foreseen!
If you are a viewer who is easily bored with dramas with lots of conversation, this one isn't for you.

a very impressive drama

I can't go into specifics, but Zhu yan's character is a bit annoying, she should have confessed her love to Shiying from the start instead of admitting that she loves a Yuan.besides that shiying's character is also quite annoying, why would someone be so stupid for love? but sadly I was touched by shiying and Zhu yan's love story🥰.

I hope there is a special episode to see shiying and Zhu yan happy together

Imperfectly Perfect Korean School BL

"Blueming" is a delightful story that reminds us not to judge a book by its cover, as both lead characters hide personal traumas behind their seemingly perfect exteriors due to their parents.

The series follows Cha Si Won, who believes that good looks and popularity go hand in hand. Driven by his mother's insensitive comments, he strives to be popular by maintaining a strict regime and a pleasant personality. However, his confidence is shaken when he encounters Hyeong Da Un, another seemingly perfect guy with excellent grades, wealth, and a charming personality. Si Won's encounters with Da Un lead to unexpected twists and turns in their relationship, especially when they end up working together on a film project. As they spend more time together, Si Won begins to see Da Un in a different light, and their bond deepens.

The heartwarming journey of Si Won and Da Un's romance touches your heart in the best way. Both characters are beautifully flawed, and their development throughout the series is captivating. "Blueming" avoids the typical school BL tropes found in Thai BLs and presents a concise yet impactful story without filler scenes. The fans' love for the series and the chemistry between the main characters paved the way for a well-deserved season 2, where their relationship will be further explored.

This series sets a shining example for Thai BLs by delivering a compelling story without unnecessary prolongation. By understanding what the fans want, "Blueming" proves that a well-crafted second season can be more successful than churning out subpar sequels like "2gether" and "Still 2gether." "Blueming" showcases the potential of Korean BLs and demonstrates how quality storytelling can lead to both critical acclaim and financial success.

A Perfect Blend of BL And Gay Drama

180 Degrees Passes Through Us" is an absolute masterpiece that captivated me from start to finish. This series is a mature and profound portrayal of complex emotions, not intended for the typical fluffy BL fans. Instead, it delves into the realm of gay drama, with Wang courageously pursuing his childhood crush, who also happens to be his late father's unrequited love.

The heart of the story revolves around Wang's journey to connect with his deceased father. A fateful trip with his narcissistic mother leads him to In, the man who once loved his father deeply but eventually distanced himself after Wang's father married Wang's mother. In an intriguing twist, In becomes a mysterious figure, akin to a 52-hertz whale, signaling to Wang in an inexplicable manner. During his short stay at In's house, we bear witness to the profound flaws that exist within each character, stemming from their unique perspectives and entwined with the memory of the departed father. This thought-provoking drama explores the complexity of human nature, reminding us that nobody is perfect, yet life goes on with all our flaws.

Despite the absence of explicit NC scenes, the series manages to deliver the sensuality of an enthralling tale. The sensual undertones make it a remarkably sexy tale that doesn't rely on explicit content to captivate its audience. Surprisingly, there isn't a traditional happy ending, but oddly enough, I found solace and contentment in discovering this raw and authentic portrayal of life's intricacies.

The cinematography of "180 Degrees Passes Through Us" is nothing short of breathtaking, with stunning visuals that enhance the emotional impact of every scene. Moreover, the dialogues are deeply engrossing, drawing us into the characters' minds and hearts, and making us ponder on life's deeper meaning.

In conclusion, "180 Degrees Passes Through Us" is a must-watch for those seeking a compelling and thought-provoking drama that goes beyond conventional BL narratives. Its exploration of human complexity and the imperfections of life will leave you with a profound sense of awe and appreciation.

Watch for romance, not for plot. Be ready to skip a lot.

Going for romance? Go for it! Romance is done really well, main leads had real good chemistry and fluff moments were just so sweet to watch. I liked secondary couple too (Han Chuan and Ming Zhu not that good for nothing Ying Dong), although bittersweet their story was just so heartfelt. Still be ready to skip some unnecessary drama.

Going for plot? You will be frustrated. This drama like other C-Dramas will test your patience with plot. Plot is a utter mess. Forget logic, you would find it hard to even find basic common sense here. Characters will prefer taking the most idiotic possible decision possible instead of the more natural and sensible ones. Direction is also nothing talk-worthy with real bad editing on top of that. If you can bear with all that or can skip that, go ahead, this drama will be fun to watch.

As for character development, its there but not nearly enough. FL is annoyingly dumb and fickle at times but becomes likable later. ML is okay, watchable. The good for nothing character "Ying Dong" is given too much screentime and that becomes annoying fast, I would have preferred if they skipped that character altogether. On the contrary, character of "Han Chuan" projected so much depth that all his scenes of relation dynamics with "Ming Zhu" were attention sinks, phenomenal performance by Gardner Tse.

Everyone acted good, so no issues there.

Music...can't remember at all, and that's immediately after completing it...that says a lot.

I watched this after "Lady and Liar" and honestly this is miles better but still not upto mark. I liked the FL here more but I liked the ML in Lady and Liar much more.
Overall a fun watch, though had to skip some parts. Good, decent, 7.0/10

This was not for me.

Hi guys it's pretty lingling and I am here to share my review.

This cdrama was good, but it needed a little more challenges I'm not saying that this drama is not nice it truly is but the plot is really basic I forced myself to go through with this I feel like it didn't have any spice whatsoever.

Secondly, I would like to address Xiao Nai's character, I especially HATE the face that he doesn't smile much he doesn't really have facial expressions and it just made me Soooo angry like dude who are you acting like this for I get that he is like popular and blah blah blah but it still really unsettling that he literally doesn't have facial expressions

Thirdly, I feel like this drama was Wayyyy too boring for my liking like it didn't have the challenges it made life seem Wayyy too easy for them like perfect this, perfect that, it was especially hard to watch

Honestly, I don't think that I will ever, ever watch this drama again it just doesn't have that GUSTO man I don't care what all you little pieces of sh*ts think I am just stating my honest opinion.

Goodbye,
Lingling Signing out.o

Good one

A good story! Despite all the negative reviews, I'm glad I decided to check it out myself. Ren Min and Xiao Zhan, you both did an amazing job; your acting made me feel the love ❤. Ren Min, you are absolutely beautiful, and I can't find anything ugly about you. I don't understand why people had different expectations; for me, I knew what to expect in a xianxia drama – love, betrayal, killing, and reincarnation are the core elements of every plot. So, I was prepared for this ending right from the beginning.

But honestly, all the actors' performances were on point, and I really enjoyed watching it, especially because there was no betrayal between the lovers.

Great For a One-Off OhmNanon Series

I’m glad this is a one-off ship of OhmNanon. Fight me on this but I think Nanon ruined Ohm for BL. For Nanon, this was just a stepping stone for him to get more straight roles as exhibited by his work that followed. He has said that he only took this role to add BL to his repertoire. Following this, some said Ohm said he will not longer do any more BL. I hope this isn’t true now that they are on the outs and Ohm has been hanging out with a lot of the BL boys of GMMTV lately with the LOL Fanfest. I mean, if Pond wasn’t in Dirty Laundry, I would’ve not watch Nanon’s lead role series. It speaks volume of Nanon as an actor when he does this kind of series and Ohm went to do 10 Ticket and Double Savage. I know Nanon is one of GMMTV favorite but I don’t get it. Ohm is a vastly superior actor. Nanon should stick to singing as it seems to be his thing.

As a BL fan, I must say that Thai school BLs have never been my cup of tea, often seeming to target schoolgirls and childlike adults with their magical rainbows and unicorns. However, I was pleasantly surprised with "Bad Buddy" as it veered away from the typical high school setting and took place in a university. It presented a compelling Romeo and Juliet-esque tale of star-crossed lovers from rival families.

From a young age, Pran and Pat's families had an intense rivalry, competing in every aspect of life. Naturally, this rivalry extended to their sons, making them rivals as well. But as fate would have it, despite the familial animosity, they grew tired of the constant tension and eventually became close friends. Their friendship blossomed, but due to their families' feud, they had to keep it a secret. After parting ways during high school, fate reunites them when they enter the same university and end up living in the same dorm with rooms across from each other. As they reignited their friendship, they discovered there was more to their feelings this time around. The series beautifully portrays their journey of self-discovery and first love, while navigating the challenges posed not only by their parents' rivalry but also by the rivalry between their university faculties.

The development of their relationship was far from glossed-over magic, as we often see in Thai school BLs. Instead, "Bad Buddy" took the time to build a genuine connection between the characters. As the story unfolds, they unearth the real reasons behind the family feud and face parental opposition to their relationship. In a bold move, Pat and Pran decide to run away together to explore their feelings. It is during their time away that they truly fall in love and solidify their relationship. Upon returning home, they face the consequences of their actions and work to gain acceptance with their families with the support of their friends.

"Bad Buddy" offered a unique and refreshing storyline, which sets it apart from many Thai school BLs that often portray the magical instant attraction between two boys without much development. It truly delivered on the emotional journey and didn't rely on clichéd tropes. This series has become a personal favorite of mine, as it demonstrates that BL can be much more than just fluffy romance, but rather a compelling and heartwarming tale of growth and love.

Enjoyable Crime- Mystery Series

Highly recommended for those who like Crime-Mystery-Suspense series. In the beginning it may seem like a normal series but the story will get deeper and deeper with each ep. Very interesting series.

Plot: An unsolved serial ki*lling case of 13 years ago, comes before the police in a new way.
Why couldn't the police find the culprit 13 years ago? Why did this criminal not commit crime in 13 years? Will they be able to find the culprit?

They showed the past and present (of the series) little by little in a very beautiful way. The making style was great. That's why I enjoyed the series more. This series will give a very different vibe while watching, sometimes there was comedy and the family life of the detectives was also showed due to the need of the story.

The different color grading of past present was top notch. The acting of the main 2 actors was very good. The series created good suspense and mystery.

I loved the first season, but the second season blew me away. It brought everything that I loved from the first and more. It introduced a ton of new characters and new people to be found. I felt their stories were even more heartbreaking from the first too. It also gave us 2 new lead characters in the village that I just fell in love with.

Once again though, I skipped past all of the fraud/scam story in the beginning. I never really cared for all of that in the first one either and once you move past it, the drama is way more interesting in my opinion.

The leads all do such a great job at tugging at your heartstrings, but I especially loved Pan Seok even more in this season. You can tell that he is still raw from finding his daughter but not being able to find her in their previous village. It really adds a layer to his character where you can tell he is really effected by everyone he meets at the new industrial park. It made some of the missions super emotional and their reactions made me cry even more.

One character that kept my interest the whole time was Il Young. The curiosity of his abilities and all of his story as it unravels throughout kept me on my toes with trying to guess where it was headed. The actor does such a good job with playing his character and bringing all of his ups and downs to life. His character development was amazing too. Another lead was Captain Kang. She is basically the "Thomas" of this village, helping the newcomers adjust to their new "lives" inside. Her character was easy to fall in love with and I couldn't get enough of her energy. Every scene with her has you laughing, smiling and eventually crying with her.

The ending was so open ended though. I hope we possibly get a third!
