Unexpectedly enjoyable rom-com
The trailers and synopsis for this K-movie always made me think that the drama is on the raunchier side, but after watching it, it really isn't explicit, which I was glad for. The plot isn't terribly unique and the setting and set-up for our MCs aren't terribly endearing, but I enjoyed the drama all the same. The story was completely predictable and I was completely okay with that. Mood of the Day is a really good chick-flick to watch with a girlfriend on a Friday or Saturday night. It's not terribly serious and there's no melodrama; instead, you have a very pleasantly resolved romance in less than 2 hours. I also really loved the use of Photograph by Ed Sheeran as the theme song for the movie - it matched the tone and mood so well!So, is Mood of the Day one of my favorite K-movies? No, but I did sincerely enjoy it and it was that much more fun to watch it with a friend.

This movie shows people that love does not have to start in a specific way, it can happen in an instant, wherever, whenever. At any time, or the least when you expect it. It also gives the watchers many thoughts about marriage and pressure to get married as soon as possible. And also makes you think a lot about relationships... whether that be a one-night-stand or a serious relationship...
I usually never write reviews about movies or dramas, but I had to write one for this, it is just too good of a movie to miss out on.

Worth it if you're looking for a fun, clichéd film to pass the time
SPOILERS for both this film and another Korean film, My PS Partner.TL;DR - This film is just the ticket if you're looking for a fun, clichéd romance with a charismatic lead, but if you don't want to see cheating being justified, then stay away.
This film was fun to watch even with all of its clichés, particularly because of the male lead, but I'm not going to discuss the fun or the clichés because I want to hone in on other aspects of the film that annoyed/interested me.
So this film gave me vibes of a PG version of My PS Partner. I had the exact same problem with this film that I had with My PS Partner, which is, why is cheating being presented as justified? At least in My PS Partner the girl cheats when her boyfriend is a scumbag and had already cheated on her. Here, the female lead's cheating is acceptable because she is bored in her 10 YEAR RELATIONSHIP and is tired of the lack of serious commitment on both ends. So of course she cheats and ONLY THEN breaks up with her boyfriend of 10 years. I'm sorry but I don't approve of a character being presented as sympathetic when she's cheating under such circumstances. If you're so unhappy in your relationship that you want to cheat, then break up first ffs! This really got under my skin.
Yoo Yeon Seok (plays the male lead) made this film for me. He's got great charisma, is so attractive etc. Moon Chae Won (plays the female lead) was fine, but there's something about her acting (perhaps her intonation?) that marks her out as a mediocre actress. I don't know if she was better in Flower of Evil or if the vibe of that series suited her more, but I thought her acting was worse here.
It's also worth noting another significant similarity with My PS Partner, which is the sort of Hollywood vibe you get when watching this. The slickness that comes from the style of editing and the plot, plus the frankness surrounding sex - I can't help but see the overlap.

A great romcom!
Sometimes, when I am having a bad day, I watch this film. It helps that rom-coms are my crack and I absolutely adore this cast.Most of the story takes place in the span of one day and on the road. Bae Soo-jung (Moon Chae-won) is the team leader for a cosmetics company and in order to get a prime location at the department store display, she needs to secure basketball star Kang Jing-chul as the company’s brand ambassador. Sadly, the sportsman isn’t anywhere to be find and with his grandfather recently passing away, people are speculating he might have returned to his hometown: Busan. Soo-jung has no other option but the hop in the train and try to find him.
Kim Jae-hyun (Yoo Yeon-seok) is a successful sports agent and all around man about town. Always with a ready smile and a pretty girl at his side. Jae-hyun has spent the last few months in talks with Jing-chul, his former underclassman from school, trying to convince him to join the NBA. However, Jin-chul is not interested and time is running out for the signing of the contract, so Jae-hyun has to take the train to Busan in order to find him and convince him to sign.
As destiny will have it, Soo-jung and Jae-hyun -who are looking for the same person- end up sitting next to each other in the train. Hilarity and romance ensues.
This is a light rom-com, with some really lovely scenes and other times funny moments that will make you laugh out loud. The chemistry between Yoo Yeon-seok and Moon Chae-won is really good and I really like the way they portray their characters. At first glance, you would think they have most of their respective lives figured out but soon you see there’s more than meets the eye.
For example, Soo-jung is not so put together as she appears and I like that once she’s sure of something, she’s a woman who is not afraid to make things happen. Whatever that might be or where it might lead. On the other hand, Jae-hyun might have all the tendencies of a player but as the movie helps us get to know him, you can see that he actually takes his life and work very seriously. That he’s actually a responsible man that does the right thing when it calls for.
Some of the conversations about love, sex and relationships that the two of them have are very interesting, sometimes showing the more traditional point of views of female vs. male but other times showing something different.
We all know how the story ends, of course, it doesn’t change the fact that watching Yoo Yeon-seok as a cheeky playboy flirting with Moon Chae-won, who can win over the most cold heart, is a lot of fun.

Synopsis
Bae Soo jung (Moon Chae won) and Kim Jae hyun (Yoo Yeon seok) meet each other on a train to Busan. He is a former star basketball player turned talent agent who is trying to recruit a rising talent, Kang Chul to go to the United States and play professionally. Soojung is on a business trip for her advertising agency. Out of the blue, Jaehyun proposes a one night stand. Soojung is in a 10 year relationship but the feelings have run dry and it is not headed to marriage. At first outraged but, as they spend time together on the train, then in pursuit of Kang Chul in Busan (Soojung hopes to have him agree to an advertising deal) decides there isn’t something about him drawing her in. After a night that leaves them both shaken can they really go their separate ways?
Review
I am not typically interested in movies as, with dramas, characters can be fully developed and the plot line can be much more complex. With this one though it works since it is centered around a one night stand. I thought they had great chemistry. It is a nice, short, compelling romance.

An adorable moving love tale
It may not come real considering how scared we all are to the strangers. That’s how the world we live has become, a place full of threats and dangers with a few safe spots. Them if you put your faith and travel with this movie it does move your heart in good way. Very light with no sad moments to lighten up your day. Good watch if you aren’t gonna poke your nose into logic.Conversations and the lead chemistry will never disappoint you. It will make you crave for more ! More of their time together so that we can smile gleefully 😅
I rated it 9 since it delivers what the makers hoped for in a sincere heartfelt way !!! If you aren’t here to watch very light weight adorable love story, you should skip it.

This movie is absolutely wonderful. I loved every single bit of it. If you're looking for a romance with a bit more "steaminess" than the normal K-Dramas (REAL kissing and adult situations, etc), this one is for you. If you're looking for something sweet, romantic, very well acted, and something that will bring a smile to your face, this show has all of that and more. Watch it. You can thank me later.Personally, I'm going to re-watch this one often!

The perfect rom-com / please make a template and copy guidelines
Amazon Prime has the worst choices of movies and dramas in the USA.And Asian choices - forget it.
The collection looks like the Asian film market threw them leftover bones to chew on.
So I clicked on this movie hopelessly, holding the remote with the anticipation of skimming through in 15 minutes.
But - hush my heart be quiet - this movie turned out to be a cult classic!!!
Funny as hell, every situation is classically timed.
The scenes are very detailed, well thought of with an eye on minutiae.
The story - aaaaahhh - please use this as a reference for all future romcoms!

And the actors - the SML is so funny, he deserves an award.
The FL - she's just perfect. Nothing more, nothing less.
And the ML - aah - fell in love with him.
He carries the movie nimbly, no over the top emotions,
Romantic, swoon worthy, funny, raucous.........💖💖
I dug up every other drama he was in to watch and wasn't disappointed.
Good work, the full team of this movie!

Pasangan tarik ulur yang bikin capek sendiri
Simpel aja sebenarnya. Film slow pace yang banyak tarik ulur kayak gini tuh bukan seleraku. Ditambah background story dari female lead nya yang punya pacar 10 tahun, tapi kegoda sama cowok cakep di kereta dalam satu hari aja udah bikin film ini jadi film red flag buat aku. Temen-temen female leadnya juga toxic. Untungnya, ada temennya male lead yang yah menyedihkan tapi bisa sedikit menghibur. Juga karena aku baru nonton film ini di tahun 2023, aku gak bisa menyalahkan film sepenuhnya. Mungkin pada tahun film ini rilis, tema kayak gini yang jadi primadona.
