There is so many things that doesn't make…

There is so many things that doesn't make sense like how come she got legs? I though it's because of the bracelet but obviously NOT. Also how quickly the mermaid got use to have legs ;)
Why do the intro with the past if in the end she didn't recognise him :(

Let's see how it's all gone turn out in the next episode ;)

The mermaid and the con artist.

Not much happens in this first episode, or I guess I should say it takes it's time. We're introduced to the mermaid in the past (August 1586 to be exact) and the new town head. Which I thought was a very compelling story. For a moment I thought it was going to take a twist to Mermaid Forest territory. Instead of eating her the villain wanted to make oil out of her! Next jump to the future and enter the mermaid and the con artist. The con artist looks just like the town head from all those years ago. But I don't feel like the mermaid recognizes him. Or at least I didn't really see a "oh, that's the guy from the past" reaction. Which makes it all the more compelling to me.

So I do like the idea of Lee Min Ho playing this suave con man. He does have this hot thing that reminds me of the lead guy from The Mentalist TV show in the US. Though I found the lighter thing super far fetched, especially when he breaks the mermaid out of jail.

So really this is a rough introduction and setup, but it's tons of fun! Jeon Ji Hyeon doesn't even say a word the whole episode! Her actions convey everything though and it's truly a testament to her skills that she can do that! I think I might be on my way to become a true fan of hers.

A really great start to this series and I can't wait for it to become even more developed. Though I question that "love song" that states that it is: "My love story." Yikes! That's super tacky. (Oh, and there is no question about that sequin pink dress. It's so bad.) The cinematography is awesome and this is clearly going to be a visual treat. I love the way the mermaids look and appreciate it so much! I like the idea of the con artist and his team. I'm very curious about the rest of them and love the humor they have together. Actually I loved all the humor here. Which is good because I LOVED the humor in You Who Came From the Stars.

Now. Will the other mermaids factor into the story? Oh, and I'd love some more history!
