Mr. Shindo asks Ayukawa to marry him and, after seeing Ririka returning into Sota's life, she accepts. Sota hides that Ririka is back from Pitaro. Knowing something is being kept from him, Pitaro gets upset with Sota. Sota finally confronts him and gives him a choice - go to New York with his mother or stay in Japan with him. Pitaro chooses to stay with Sota. Ayukawa continues to have mixed emotions.
