I have mixed feelings about this drama.
The story is great- quite different, with interesting narration and well paced, though it does drag a bit in the middle.
The actors were good, almost surprisingly so for me, especially with Micky (having seen him only in 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal', i was unsure of what to expect here) and Lee Tae Sung (who played the polar opposite of his character in Playful Kiss).
There were many read more things I liked about this drama-
the light heart-ed humor, the past-future lifestyle variations, and especially the three guys, who were cute and fun throughout. The music was good and fitting to the mood of the scene.
The female lead was cute and pretty, more so when she wasn't trying too hard to play the 'innocent' girl. The negative characters were very believable and felt real.
What I didn't like so much are-
the innumerable number of cliched situations, the situations that are made overly dramatic and artificial, the ridiculously obvious way that the 'good' people are repeatedly manipulated by the 'evil' ones (makes you want to knock them on the head and tell them to keep their phones safe and doors locked).
So, if you take away all the minor irritants, 'Rooftop Prince' is a good drama, with enough fun and intrigue to keep it entertaining.

Fate, whether something is meant or not meant to be. This drama truly was brilliant in portraying the theme... Fate. I had been contemplating watching this drama because I didn't read into it enough. I thought it looked silly and unoriginal and I have never been so wrong. This drama is filled with so much betrayal, angst, love and longing: It was expressed in such a beautiful and realistic yet fantasy-filled masterpiece. read more Indeed I had never been a fan of history meeting modern day dramas, this drama was so much more. The acting by all of the cast was phenomenal, those who you were supposed to love you loved and those that were supposed to be hateful I can say I truly hated. The music was beautiful but somewhat repetitive but other than that it was a wonderful privilege to be able to watch something so creative and emotional. The comedy was hilarious as well and was neatly placed in just the right amounts. The ending definitely made everything worth it, although I prefer a bit more of a complete ending like in all the old princess tales I realize that when it comes to true wonder and the reader and watchers own longing for that it makes the piece much more praiseworthy. This was an absolute beautiful tale and I give it a 10. Romance and comedy lovers will definitely like this drama but I find that it is not as light as I thought it would be
so if you are extremely sensitive.. I'd watch it over a period of time. I hope this review helped. :D

These two dramas give you the same kind of vibe, involving: a bad female, the obsession of the male lead over his first love, framing, memory loss, stepping on your own family to get to the top and even the end gives you the same vibe. But Rooftop Prince is more a rom-com, while Innocent Man is definitely a melo-drama.

They are both about ancient people time traveling to modern times. They have the same quirky feeling of how to adopt to modern technology and how to solve their own mysteries.

The storyline was interesting but the comedy part of the show ruined it for me. Also Ha Ji Min acting wasn't that great.
