Li Chang Ge sent away as punishment by her mother...

If Li Chang Ge only knew how things could end the way they did, her last time meeting her mother would have been different. Rumors to discredit now Crown Prince Li Shi Min after he killed Li Chang Ge's father. Li Chang Ge is on the run with revenge in her heart. Li Shi Min, her beloved mentor & uncle now her #1 enemy :(.

It was the rebellion of her second uncle probably. Yup I was right. Her mom probably likes her uncle based on what we saw on previous episode but idk... Myb that letter was for her safety not for her uncle. That dagger... Why her uncle did that? To make her hate him?. WAIT WAIT now I get why her mom asked her to vow to hv no hatred in this lifetime previously. Myb her mom killed herself with that dagger and her uncle just didn't manage to stop her so he just held her in the end. I'm guessing here, the 2ndML cld be this guy that Leyan had crush on, I don't remember his name. Wu something. That Rong'en temple place, I hv seen it before in other drama.

What in the world is happening

A very poorly edited episode that over dramatized what happened at Chang Ge's home manor. Viewers are meant to be able to discern minor splatters of blood on nearby plants and tapestries to convey an outright rebellion. Why it happened? Who knows. It's just a matter of dragging out the series for another 50+ episodes. Additionally, how did Chang Ge who rode a palanquin all the way to a nearby town, run across the village to get back home, in her formal travel wear and not look breathless? If there were guards guarding the East Palace, where were they when she arrived? Why weren't they anywhere to be seen? What I understood: Prince of Qin (Chang Ge's uncle) usurped power of the Crown Prince (Chang Ge's dad). Chang Ge (Princess Yo Ning) was unaware of the whole political situation, hence did not realize how much of a bad seed her uncle was. And as usual, the tensions are generally kept within the same generation (her parents/uncles). Maybe it's just because I haven't warmed up to the characters, but I found Chang Ge and her mum's acting to be rather distant and strained. Wasn't very convincing that they were loving familial blood ties.Nonetheless, glad this episode gave context with how this privileged girl Chang Ge has to cross dress to survive.

My poor mind

This episode was not as great as the first one, but it was certainly good. My main problem (that is basically just my problem), is that there are too many names and only a few that I can remember. In other words, I got a bit confused at some point, but I suppose that this is natural, since this is just the second episode.

editing in this gave me headache, reminds me of these Tellywood editing memes (not so extreme but similar) The male lead is so tense and serious/emotionless he doesn’t feel like a human lol and he acts too old for his age but ok. I can’t imagine any chemistry between the lead characters but they also didn’t have much interaction so far so can’t really judge yet. I wanted to drop it after the send episode but I’ll give it another chance for a few more episodes. The character that caught my interest is only this „scary“ guard who I think will become the FL cousins love interest. Their story I wanna see. The production: it sometimes looks good but sometime it’s laughable like they spoke of a massacre but the were no corpses and a few splatter of blood on the bush that wouldn’t even be noticeable if not dramatically zoomed on XD and the cartoon scenes are pretty but it’s just an easy way out of filming these complicated scenes like her jumping in the lake and being shot at. And the way the plot is going, seriously I don’t understand what happened to her family, was there a rebellion or what? Was her family accused or did unknown assistants kill them? My first impression submit that good.
