Three Stars

Vlad is such a contradictory personality, he wants to be alone and yet not - but i kinda get it. what i did like was now he was drunk-ish texting Karl and not his ex. progress or exchanging one "drug" for another. as he just got explaining why he would never start anything with Karl, cause he doesn't want to be "...a plot device that trigger's somebody else identity crisis..." sadly his friend Sues is right "Law of Proximity" especially when u r attracted to the other person, u've living with - what with the "looks" from the start of this, being exchanged between Vlad and Karl obvious something will "grow" feel's wise, let alone attraction wise. he for sure wouldn't get jealous when seeing Karl hanging out with Anna. but all in all a very sweet and yet sad ep -

Absence makes the heart grows fonder

Building up from the previous episode, Karl and Vlad's time away from each other during Christmas made it clear how each other were managing their sensitivities and quirks.A large factor for a better relationship is making compromises to alleviate unnecessary quarrels. Like they shouldn't be constantly fighting over washing dishes right? The seed is finally germinating predicated by law of proximity with a sprinkle of jealousy. This jealousy was also encapsulated by the last scene from previous episode.Jealousy, absence, and compromising each others quirks made this episode fonder to watch more than Vlad's growing feelings.

Relatable

Karl's freaking spreadsheet for Christmas presents had me in stitches. And then Vlad's commentary on Christmas - I love it. Sue is so pretty. Vlad continues to be very relatable - spending your birthday and important holidays alone is brutal. I loved Karl putting Christmas aside for Vlad's birthday. I liked this episode - but I still am not as attached to the characters as I normally am this far through a series. I'm not sure why. I think it may be that the pacing is a little fast for me - I'm having trouble following the timeline of how long they've lived together now. Seeing as we've mostly seen them in conflict in previous episodes, it almost felt out of character for Karl to do all of that for Vlad's birthday. I'm glad he did, but it surprised me. I like the character development and all, it just seems a bit rushed for me.

BEST EPISODE SO FAR HANDS DOWN.

Im not sure how GSP will top this episode. Everything in this episode was amazing. The nuances, Vlad's dance sequence with Nica Del Rosario's Tahanan, Karl and Anna's comical very-romcom relief, and the very sweet ending between Karl and Vlad. BRAVO!!

Overwhelming Emotions mixed with Character Development

As a bow to the Filipino Christmas tradition, the episode shows an insider view of how each character deal with the holidays. Overlapped with the conflicting emotions among and between the two of them as shown in multiple sequences, we get to see how their personalities would develop. I particularly liked the 'Tahanan' and 'Waking Up' sequences as they have revealed more and more of Vlad and Karl. Never expected that each episode would be better each time. Highly recommended!

Gaya Sa Pelikula (2020) Episode 4

While Episode 4 was slow-paced, it was nevertheless very cute and sweet. Aside from Vlad getting jealous and showing a bit of how he actually felt about Karl, not a lot happened in terms of moving the main plot/storyline forward. But because the scenes were well executed, everything turned out ok. Screenplay was consistently good. There were a lot of meaningful lines. Enunciation on Ian's part and exaggerated hand gestures on Paolo's part were still minor issues but their acting in general, was fine. I love Ian and Paolo's chemistry. Yesh was good (or maybe too good?) but she might need to tone down a bit so she won't eat up Paolo on their scenes together. Audio-visuals and production technicals were largely satisfactory. I love the OST "Tahanan" (Home) featuring Nica del Rosario. For next week's episode, I expect some conflict that will move the main plot/storyline forward.
