Exciting and very good cgi and choreography

A really good series to watch if you are into anime-action genres. They are like animes in persons. The story is compelling to be found out, and the action scenes are just the best with the combination of choreography and cgi. The humor is also there which adds a great value to watching it. Though the romance were not highlighted, it still showed that romance cannot be omitted with youth.
The 3 main characters with the most exposure are Xiao Se, Lei Wujie, and Rouyi. It feels like they are the main characters and the other 3 just pop-out sometimes, especially Wuxin. Qianlou's actress is obviously amateur that her presence cannot be felt.
Anyway, a great project for Li Hongyi and Ao Riupeng.
I really can't fight my excitement with this series as I was even forced to subcribe to youku even if it's the only show that I watch in the platform.
Please watch, you won't regret it.

Definitely headed in a top spot in my book

This is my first time reviewing on here. I had to give my two cents on this one for sure! So far I absolutely love it! There are so many mushy wuxia dramas all about love. This one is about friendship and short bits of love here and there. I love the fight scenes. One flaw is there are sooooo many characters and storylines it's hard to keep up at times. There is no way to remember each character in this show. They also talk a bit fast so it's hard to read subtitles at times. The music could be better as well imo.

Add on at episode 30...
This is still an excellent drama. The acting is great. I don't want to see this drama end ? I still feel it's in the top 10 in my book as of now. We will see if the ending ruins it. So many dramas come out strong then bam! Bad ending.

Amazing Wuxia Drama!!!

This is literally one of my favorite Wuxia drama. You might need a bit of patience for the beginning as it starts off pretty slowly and but eventually the plot thickens. There are many characters in this drama so it might be hard to keep track but you will eventually grow to like most of the characters. Everyone has their personal interest and are all fighting to keep the things they hold dear. The ML is very likable and his companions are all amazing people!

This is a drama that you can watch without skipping. I haven't found a wuxia that I liked as much as this since I watched The Untamed. My favorite thing about this drama is the friendship and brotherhood. I love the gang and their friendship so much! Xiao Se and Wuxin are my favorite characters!!

Also the music for this drama is really great and helps hype up the fight.

My only complaints about this drama is the romance and Wuxin's screentime. They built Wuxin to be such an interesting character but didn't really give him enough screentime to develop his character more. Also there wasn't that much chemistry between the ML and FL. I feel like the drama would have been fine without the romance because it feels random at times.

Overall, this is an amazing drama and a must watch if you love hyped wuxia fights and watching a gang of friends navigate through the world.

the cast was delightful!

This was a fun, entertaining series. I laughed, cried and was kept completely entertained by it. The cast did an amazing job , i like the way the young people started beside each other, and the way the saw everything through. The nimisys was very Evel and cumming but the skills of the heros were great and admirable. I loved the special effects they make the movie all that much more realistic. it makes it easy more believable.. I loved the ending it ended well and have my imagination somewhere to go from there.

I started this drama out of curiosity and immediately felt overwhelmed by all the action, the fast pace, and the number of characters continuously being introduced. The mysterious Xiao Se (Li Hong Yi) and the charismatic & powerful Wu Xin (Liu Xue Yi) convinced me to continue, and I was pleasantly surprised by the heartwarming friendship that soon formed between the main characters. I'm giving a special shout out to Lei Wu Jie (Ao Rui Peng) because I initially thought was just a silly kid. He has a silly charm and a pure heart!

This drama tells the story of several 'youths' who are honing their skills in the martial arts world, as well as the stories of their elders and the alliances and rivalries between different sects. Although there are a lot of characters throughout, I found myself interested in every single one of them. There wasn't a moment where I felt like anyone was filler. (And the powerful characters aren't all male either.) I don't usually pay much attention to fights in c-dramas but the ones here were very exciting to watch. The struggle between princes in Tianqi city becomes the primary plot later on, and it was a thrilling series of schemes that didn't drag on for too long.

40 episodes didn't feel long at all, and I enjoyed this from beginning to end.

You don't want to miss out on this great drama

Hahahahahahajhajdjeheuwjbw
I finally finished it today, I can't move on from it???. This is one spectacular drama, the fighting scenes are all well done and my favourite part honestly. I want to keep rewatching it till I get tired of it which I doubt it will happen. I super love this drama and my best boy LWJ, wish we all got to see him become a sword diety as he has always wanted. Wow the blood of youth is such a good drama and I saw most of the well done drama I have watched was also by the director of this one, kudos to the director. I need more Wuxia drama like this. I'm gonna miss all my beautiful casts. 11/10 ✨

A complete package

I already watched this drama 3 times.I liked the friendship between Lei wujie and Xiao se.
Xiao se l,the protagonist is one of the smartest and coolest male leads I have seen.Li Hongyi really portrayed the role well.I have become his fan after this.
Ao Ruipeng as Lei wujie is very pure, innocent and a very reliable soul friend. His acting is very good and perfect.
Liu Xueyi as Wu xin is perfect and completes the trio.
I even liked Xiao se and Qianluo little romantic track.
Lei wujie and Ye xiaoyi story is also good.
Their revenge for their elder brother Tang Lian and how he was there for them in every situation is also perfectly dealt.
All the other supporting roles including the doctor are equally good and the actors performed well.
Overall an entertaining cdrama which focuses on friendship.I highly recommend this drama.
It does not disappoint you instead brings smiles sometimes too ?

One of the best wuxia drama!

This one is a must watch for all wuxia drama lovers. A strong plotline, amazing fighting scenes, good looking ML, heart warming brotherhood...it has all. Xiao Se, Wu Xin, Wu Jie form an epic trio. All ML portrayed their characters so well. Xiao Se is mysterious and closed off in the starting but opens up slowly, although his know-it-all attitude and sarcasm never ends. Wu Xin is my favourite character of LXY till now. I hated him in Love and Redemption(not bcz of his acting but the character was so frustatingly evil) and liked him in Ancient Love Poetry. But this one was on another level. Even in the last episodes I was quite dissatisfied with the limited screen time Wu Xin got. Wu Jie's innocence added element of humour to the trio. He is the kind of friend everyone needs.
So it was near perfect drama for me. CGI and fighting scenes were top notch. All the actor portrayed their character very well. Only reason it's "near" perfect is because romance between Xiao Se and Qian Luo had no spark. Wu Jie and Ruo Yi felt more real to me then their pair. And second one is kinda my personal dissatisfaction due to less screen time of Wu Xin in last episodes. But the trio is the heart of drama for me and all these small things are insignificant.
I would definitly like to rewatch this one after a few months.

Finally! A good Wuxia Series!

This was such a great show! I definitely enjoyed the martial arts world arc more than the political drama in the latter part of the show, but it still kept my interest. TBH, it was a little overwhelming in the beginning because we were introduced to so many characters from a variety of sects & clans who carried magnificently named weapons! But luckily the writers allowed the plot & characters an opportunity to breathe after a few episodes so that we were able to enjoy the relationships & character arcs & plot development more. I appreciated that all the characters were smart, strong, or both; no one was useless in the show. I liked that they showed how strong the older generation were compared to the young bloods, and how hard the younger generation continued to work hard and get better. The main characters did not automatically become the best fighters but instead kept practicing their marital arts though their multiple loses.

I loved the relationships between the leads (males & females) and their dialogue & interactions. They all had natural chemistry, especially between Xiao se, Wuxin, and WuJie. There was romance but it was subtle & low-key. I know some folks didn’t care for the coupling or thought it was mismatched, but I disagree. I loved how Xiao Se & Qian Lou developed their relationship throughout the series, and how their personalities complemented each other. She was a strong woman! WuJie & Rouyi didn’t get as many screen time together but I did enjoy seeing them bond. He is such a silly chap!

This would have gotten a higher rating if they treated Wuxin better! He needed more screen time, especially w/his BFFs! And they did him dirty towards the end. I hated it. The ending w/Prince Chu was kinda anticlimactic too so that kept it from getting a higher rating. Finally, the bonus 5 mins saved the last 0.5 rating for me. If you know, you know!!

Overall, great show & definitely one I would go back to view over & over again. I would say it is on my Top 10 C-Drama of all time…maybe even cracking Top5!

Friendship Over Palace Fight

First of all, this one indeed a dark horse. Started with the puzzling scene and fight, bringing a thought and opinion that's not easy to guess. Well scripted plot that bringing out the best of the drama.

The story started with the background that based in Tianqi, Rebellion of LangYa General who's Tianqi Emperor Brother, then Xiao Chu He as the main character get exiled for standing at LangYa case. Right after he left the palace, Mysterious black robe man come and giving a hard stroke that make him half death.

4 Years after, XCH change his name became Xiao Se. He build a Xueluo Villa, then make a business as a XueLuo Villa Head. One day LeiWuJie come for eat there, bandit come and somehow LWJ help XiaoSe cleaning up the mess ended with destroying almost all of the table there and make him being in debt for 100 Liang to XS.

XS followed LWJ all over to XueYue city and they also met another friend like Wuxin,Tanglian, and other that started with a fight and a strong brotherhood.

All of them together thru thick and thin from all the sect over Beili.

The Plot are strong, this drama bringing an strong beginning and an satisfying end. This is surely will become 1 of the best Wuxia in 2023. The story line are great and not boring at all. The cast also satisfied the visual that described by the character. Indeed a great one!

Initially dropping this at episode 5 was a mistake

The simplest way that I can describe this drama is that it tells the story of a bunch of young martial artists and their adventures together. There are two main characters that the story revolves around. A Prince who has been reduced to a commoner with crippled martial arts and a brave and youthful martial artist that seeks to improve his skills.

WHAT I LIKED:
- Absolutely amazing and well-developed characters. All and I mean all characters are freaking awesome.
- Aesthetically pleasing and well done fight scenes.
- Engaging plot and the way it's edited makes it exciting to follow the story.
- Beautiful scenery, costumes, wigs. Aesthetics are on point.
- A great ending scene.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
- I initially dropped this drama at episode 5 because I couldn't understand 90% of what was happening.I didn’t like that there was way too much information being thrown at you. The first 10 episodes are non-stop info dumping with many, many characters to remember, many sect names and backstories. It's very overwhelming and you definitely need a lot of bran power to watch this. It's not a suitable watch if you are tired and want to relax by watching a drama. It's definitely difficult to binge-watch BUT very rewarding to rewatch. Having said all that, once you get used to all the characters and plot, it’s super rewarding to watch this.
- The last 7-8 episodes were somewhat draggy as it became quite politically focused.

OVERALL:
If you want to watch a drama with great fight scenes, well-developed characters, adventure and friendships vibes + you are ok with following a drama with lots of characters, names and backstories to remember, definitely give this a watch.

This was honestly not was I was expecting at all. At first the show already started off really slow so it didn't really motivate me to watch hence this drama took me a couple of months to watch since I kept procrastinating to watch this. After the first few episodes, it gets a bit more interesting. Later on after he goes back to the palace is when everything starts going downhill.

I hate dramas that have an interesting beginning that motivates me to continue to watch but then they are revealed as a prince or someone important for the imperial palace and a bunch of court affairs and politics happens and it makes the story really really boring. After he gets his title as prince, there's just way too many stuff that happens and too much info for my brain to take in. I didn't understand anything they were saying and it wasn't honestly just confusing.

I don't really recommend this drama, unless you like politics, but I'm very disappointed.
