This is a real 10 out of 10

I was postponing watching this, thinking it is a fluff romantic light TV show, but I was wrong. The Tv show is not just a great romance but has depth and real struggles as an athlete and many more obstacles that remain to be solved by out leads: no misunderstandings, no break ups, and no annoying parents. Everything was very well balanced. Give it a try because this is totally worth it. I don't want to comment any further without revealing too much :)
No I will comment on the cast- I will definitely check more dramas from that actor- amazing acting, very natural and very good facial expressions.
FL was also great and she was not your typical dumb, clingy immature FL that very traditionally portrayed in Asian tv show. Thankfully, she was a strong , smart and amazing woman. The relationship with the ML was so so natural that I totally believed them how much they love each other.

An easy dose of sugar

Duan Yu Cheng is an aspiring high jump athlete who meets Luo Na, an assistant coach at a university, when she comes to his high school to scout potential athletes. She finds his energy and talent blazing, but the head coach vetos him on the basis of his height. Proudly, Duan Yu Cheng vows to get into the university anyway.

A few months later, Duan Yu Cheng arrives at the University as an economics major, having tested into the university through academics instead of athletics. Luo Na, seeing his talent and persistence, begins to train with him, finding opportunities for him until the coaches agree to have him join the professional high jump team. Over the next few years, he grows and handles challenges in his athletic career, but Luo Na is always there to strategize and support him. He finds himself in love with her, but will she accept him as a lover given their age difference and professional relationship?

What can I say? The chemistry of Wang Anyu and Gina Jin really brings you into the story and makes you root for them, and the sweet moments are done in a very artful way. The athletic scenes are also done well - I could watch Wang Anyu run and jump for hours. Acting is very good, with Wang Anyu knocking his roles of love-sick puppy and focused athlete out of the park. Gina acted on pay with what I expected, but I had a harder time buying into her role as coach. Supporting cast was decent, with a notable shout-out to Chi Jia as Luo Na's childhood friend, senior, and fellow coach.

Areas of improvement include the post-production filters (omg so blurry and people's skin was glowing), a rushed last few episodes and overall theme. This was a romance drama masquerading as a sports drama. Challenges were resolved quickly, but in an almost forgettable way. Why else does this drama exist but to give us a an easy dose of sugar?

Older woman athlete discover Love.

Genre: older woman and younger man romance; professional athlete; resilience as a sportsman; perseverance and growth with faith in self.

It’s not my usual to watch romance between older woman and younger man. Feels like a cradle snatcher situation in such relationship. My personal bias. I watched this because of the male lead who I followed in another drama, “Forever Love”. However I am pleasantly surprise by this drama, it’s romance is not to cringy and there were quite a focus on the struggles of being a professional athlete. Especially when the ML succeed in multiple attempts to break his own records, inspired a deep admiration of the journey of a sports person.
The CP romance is acceptable, got good chemistry. The ML really portrays well as a ‘little puppy’ hopelessly in love and pursuing his love in one track mind. The FL is strong and resilience in her own ways with unwavering trust in the ML potential.
Overall inspirational watch! If you are looking for a light hearted and warm drama, this I will be my recommendation.

This romantic drama is pure perfection

The drama starts off with a warm lazy summer day filter and this vibe carries through all the way to a wonderful ending. This is romantic drama and the main leads acted their parts to perfection. Although on the surface the story centered around a romcom with a sports theme but at it's core is first love between a young college athlete and his eight years his senior track coach. And wow was it a romantic drama with many beautiful love scenes that makes me believe in their true love. This drama also has great re-watch values. I have revisited this drama countless times and watched my favorite scenes in each episodes and I always end up smiling ear to ear and giddy with happiness and I'm again transported back to this warm embrace of a perfect summer romance story.

Best Chinese drama 2022

An emotional youth sport drama with romance between intern assistant coach and her very first trainee. I went into this drama expecting nothing and was pleasently surprised by how layered this drama is. Wang is such a phenomenal actor her tears made me sob, his anger frustration and disappointment and his happiness have all been contagious. I loved the sport aspect and the wholesome romance ofc it's not a cdrama if the male lead is not a rich heir so expect that as well 😅 I also loved the side characters, normally I don't but in this i found them amusing especially the other coach and his delinquent trainee had me rolling and how he cried when he won like awwww. Definitely a hidden Gem!!

Romance in Sports and Sports in Romance

I watched this drama because of the FL. She's gorgeous. I have watched several of her dramas. She is also a good actress who is versatile.

What I Enjoyed:
- The FL shone in this drama.
- I liked the plot. There were sporting events going on and whenever there were competitions, it was fun to watch.
- I liked the FL and the supporting cast, in general. FL's male companion, Wu Ze, was a nice guy. Li Ge turned out to be very funny and even endearing. I really liked how clueless Coach Yang was and his reactions when he realised that FL and ML were dating. Watching him pace up and down, at a total loss for words, was hilarious. Da Xia was endearing. Mao Mao Qi turned out to be quite cute too.
- I liked that things moved at a fairly good pace and that it was not draggy.
- Happy ending.
- OST matched the different parts of the story.

What I Didn't Enjoy So Much:
- The ML was kind of cute but he was too immature and too clingy and too whiny and too jealous. Yes, I understood that he was the young hot-blooded lover but he was really quite immature.

Overall, I enjoyed this drama and I'd recommend it to others. It is a light watch that's entertaining. :)

An Unparalleled Romantic Feast

This was a rare delight.

Noona romance meets sports drama, without any of the accompanying angst or noble sacrifice tropes usually abundant in this genre. What a breath of fresh air!

Both leads are stunning in their roles. Their natural chemistry was very pure and gorgeously realized. You get the sense that the filming crew must have been so excited to be on set, knowing they had dynamite in front of them. Really, this is a couple you can root for. Watching them grow into their romance was a very beautiful experience.

By and large, this is the best Chinese drama I have watched. No comparison exists, and trust me, I have looked! Naturally, the rewatch value on this one is high. It is like a visual antidepressant.

I lost count of how many times I found myself smiling like an idiot while watching this. Trust me, you will too.

A Motivating and romantic drama.

I started this drama because of An Yu as I'm not a big fan of sports dramas and this drama didn't disappoint. It showed the importance of courage, humility, believing in oneself, and mostly Love. I particularly love this drama because of the raw emotions of the male lead. There was a secret lesson in this drama, and I think it's about men's mental health. There were no scorned women and unnecessary love triangles, even all the scheming was done by men. It removed the men from the perfect image we are all made to expect from them. We were able to see the vulnerability and real emotions of men, a topic that causes so much stigma in our community. So many times, men are taught that in order to be "masculine", they need to be strong and bottle up their emotions, and their mental health is affected negatively.

The story of a goal-oriented and determined athlete who fell in love with his coach. She was the first person to recognise his talent, and she held his hand through all the hardships.

Duan Yu Cheng's character was really good, you could see him develop both mentally and emotionally, and career-wise too. An Yu did so well, just like he always does.
Luo Na was a beautiful character too, she supported him all the way, and even though there were moments when she faltered, she never gave up on him, and she never let him give up on his dreams.
All the supporting characters were talented and beautiful. they really made the drama interesting to watch.

The OST was also really good, and it gave me the feels. Loved it so much. Some of the songs are also in English so I'm gonna be singing along all the time.

the only con is that the end was a bit rushed, and we never got to see more of Yu Cheng's competitions. Also, something to point out is that the first half of the drama concentrates more on sports, while the other half is more about romance, close to the end, there were fewer sports scenes and mostly romantic ones.
this drama is a must-watch, and very beautiful. you won't regret it.

A REALLY GOOD SHOW BUT I HAVE SOME COMPLAINTS

a really really good drama the build up and the acting , the pacing and the story are interesting didn’t feel bored at all throughout it

the first drama i didn’t fast forward through that much especially during the sports scenes ( all thanks to wang’s amazing acting as usual )

but the last two episodes were rushed especially that he returned to china they should’ve at least given us one last championship with the national and with the sport scenes and her cheering in the front row ( either national or asian championship) with him holding the gold medal and giving to her as he was promising from the beginning

about the lead’s character he should’ve been a bit mature and stopped the tantrums and the marriage proposals

the romantic scenes were so adorable and the chemistry is out of this world the kisses and skinship were 1000/10. but the lightning got on my nurves a little. and the fact they didn’t talk about him jumping off a bridge again was weird ( she didn’t even scold him?? )

about the supporting character i loved how the roommates are supportive and the SML wasn’t toxic ( i loved the relationship between SML and le gue I adored xia she was cutte )

but overall this didn’t turn me off on the show still one of the best older woman younger men cdramas

athletics, romance, age gap, good chemistry and vibe

Falling Into You 2020 - 8,5/10 -cdrama

cute, age gap, sport, college romance drama between athlete and his trainer.

Its quite nice romcom with very good chemistry where younger ML pursues FL. Though from mine opinion FL fell for him at first sight there.

This drama aint very much about college life, but more about classic sports like 100m sprint, high jump etc

plot - ML got dream to become world class high jumper, but he is hindered by his height. Though every coach tries to make him give up on his dram and change into different discipline where his height wouldnt be problem such as sprint. ML preserves and through his diligence and charm he manages obtain professional guidance from FL which is assistant coach at his new university.

genre - romance, college, age gap, sport, comedy

8.4 overrated just fit as rating for the first half of story in sports scenes NO FOR ROMANCE AT ALL

I wanted to give a try for this drama for being a noona drama and the poster showing like something greatly tailored to make a piece of great drama BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED in fact...
The story is not based on interesting plot that I can say I am feeling the exciting element to continue watching the next episode.
My problem with this series is there was not a coherent story maybe based on the genre and the romantic part is not well written due to the bad script written in this side.
The chemistry between leads had been irrational from the female lead who was not accepting the male lead being younger to suddenly being a secret couple and the male lead who is in some way childish with his over jealousy as to possess the female lead and she must had the hint of him wanting to confess to her.
The scene where the male lead jump off the bridge when the female lead is not responding to his feeling to choose him as suitable for the high jumping team, had given a support to increase the rating for me OTHER THAN THAT JUST the sports part was greatly done too.
The part that I just say the best in the series is the competition of high jumping and sprinting where the hard working character of male lead is greatly shown to make the female lead proud of him.
The male lead had exaggerating feeling expressions in shedding tears like a child snatching away his doll and this jealousy of him that I didn't seen portrayed to this extent for any actor but not bad.
The male lead was too nice for the female lead and sincere and honest for his feelings that she had a poor sense of mutual feelings exchange.
The male lead was better than the female lead in acting in my opinion because he was over caring for her and the other wasn't enough a well matched as couple for him.
The support characters had well portrayed the youth sportive that is I can say too is a part that was greatly acted.
THE STORY FROM THE TITLE MEANING SHOULD FOCUS ON THE ROMANTIC SIDE MORE THAN THE SPORT and for me the romantic side was the worst in this drama what makes me dropping this one other than that maybe I shall continue this.
