Love lost and found

So I kinda like the movie more than the drama. Well, the drama was already good but I was craving some happy moments between leads which was not tinged with sadness and here, that happens. The crumbs they serve here are in big chunks and gawd I am all there for it. I would happily say this is more like a continuation because otherwise, it wouldn't make sense of how LJW thinking of HYX when she teleported to the past, also the two timelines they show simultaneously. It was so sad but MJJ was alive so I liked it even more!! I liked there was not much killing n all lol, also we got a better ending than the drama! although extended ver showed still. This ending is way better to soothe my heart.

I have conflicted feelings about this movie. While I -a fan of the drama- have somewhat enjoyed watching it, it did feel redundant & a bit messy. In all honestly I have extreme doubts that someone who has not seen drama could even understand let alone enjoy this. The plot is about as complicated, if not a bit more so than the original drama's main plot (it's the same with complications basically), but all that is presented in 100 minutes, It's a bit like imagine Back to the Future 1-2-3 as one 100 minute long movie, would we even root for our heroes with that little buildup to the various time travel events that happen there.

Oh well, Wu Bai is still legend & Last Dance is still one of the best songs I have ever heard!

More loopholey but still a great follow up to the series

I guess a series as great as SOOD was just really hard to top but the movie made a valiant effort. They gave Junjie such a fake mustache. The time loop just barely makes sense. Given that this is just a little over one hour, some scenes that can clarify were probably cut out. Still, the movie effectively made me wish again for that happy ending for Ziwei and YuXuan. Though this can be watched as a stand alone, knowing what happened in the series made me root for them more. I just have to say that the people who made this really knows how to deliver that emotional punch, they make you think that all is good then BAAM and show you the reality of emptiness and longing. Also, Alice Ko once again was pretty good in the 2014 scenes. Without words, I already knew YunRu was in YuXuan's body just by the way she spoke slowly and lowered her eyes. I am also glad they showed Quansheng more. In the series, I felt pretty bad for him, he only experienced harsh rejection so that he tried to kill himself. He then became a body host for ZiWei then died in a plane crash, without a chance to be happy. But in the movie, he was able to find love, even if it didn't last. All in all, though I want more from the movie, I am quite satisfied in the closure it gave the characters.

What if they don't have time loop like the drama

I read somewhere, someone says that this version film is a continuation the series. So i decided to watch the series first then the film version. And Yes. So many parts that you will not know about what happened if you're not watch the series version. But I think I would say the parallel universe..... Because if you seeing deep on the character, it slightly different. I watch this film version right after the series, and i hope something that missing in the series will be shown in this movie. But then again it's adapted the series not continuation So i slightly dissapointed about the plot but if you want watch the film ver, I suggest you to take a break from the series to the film ver.
And I'm so in love with Mo Jun Jie, but in the film ver i feel like he is an extra :(

Finally a closure! <3 Hearbreakingly awesome movie!

So after Huang Yu Xuan sacrificed herself in the ending of the 13 episode drama, she was reincarnated and eventually met Li Zi Wei again as a young girl.

In the movie, the reincarnated Huang Yu Xuan grew up and reunited with Li Zi Wei again. Not knowing that they already had a “past” as all vanished into thin air because of her sacrificed, they managed to fall in love again. During these part, Mo Jun Jie and Li Zi Wei are still bestie but Chen Yan Ru was uncontactable.

However fate starts to repeat itself again. Li Zi Wei died in a accident leaving Huang Yu Xuan in despair.

There was a new character i guess? Suddenly became Yun Ru husband and when her husband reads Yun Ru diary about going back to the past, he was not able to do it and eventually he let Yun Ru (who is in comatose state) listen to the cassette tape and she went back to the past which eventually she died there again claiming that everything is her fault and she and Yu Xuan should vanished. Thus in real life, Yun Ru who was in comatose state, eventually died

Fast forward, the cassette tape belongs to Wang QuanSheng bestfriend who died because of sickness. The whole thing started from the cassette. Letting it go, they decide to officially burn the original cassette away.

The confusion is when all 4 characters meet. The death differs from Li Zi Wei timeline and Huang Yu Xuan timeline. They are literally in the parallel world and no matter how they time looped they can’t save each other.

What makes this drama a official “goodbye” is that when Huang Yu Xuan cried saying that no matter what she just can’t save anyone and which then Wang QuanSheng said, “atleast this time I get to say goodbye”. That broke my heart apart

Everything just got reset and everyone is alive with their own love and friendship at their own timeline
