Amazing show- until the last few episodes

This was a great story- great characters, great actors. It was beautiful. no real bad guys or villains, just two young people trying to figure things out. Then the last few episodes got really weird. The story took a hard turn, the plot totally changed and none of it made sense. I was completely confused as to how the story could even unfold that way- unrealistic and poorly done.
So do yourself a favor. When they get on the plane to go back to Africa, just turn it off. Tell yourself that they lived happily ever after and save yourself the headache. That’s what I’m gonna do when I rewatch it.

Ending destroy the mood

A girl had fallen in love with a boy. She kept following him, and one day, she discovered something that hurt her badly. Consequently, she started distancing herself from him. However, they still got married. The boy, ML's character, struggled to express his feelings, leading to a misunderstanding and a breakup. After seven years, they reunited. Despite her initial attempts to ignore him, he persistently tried to reintegrate her into his life. The storyline included several unnecessary plots, such as his son's story and hiding her father's disease. The narrative also introduced a subplot about Africa, but it was briefly shown and didn't contribute significantly. The story concluded with the revelation of his amnesia. Unfortunately, these unnecessary plotlines diminished the overall interest in watching the narrative.

I just finished watching this drama and its a Good watch or me, i dont know why but i enjoy watching this drama because i like the FL the more i watch her the more i like her character and shes gorgeous ? and also im looking forward to her new drama Fireworks of heart i hope its will not disappoint me?. Let's back to the main topic the only problem of this drama is in the first half episodes you will get annoyed in the whole first half because of there past relationships and the personality and attitude of ML you ask why he's acting like that and i kinda feel bad of the FL because she's the one who always suffer the most, and the second half of the episodes the ML getting better bit by bit and there Relationship start progressing again and they soo cute together when they acting loveydovey it will make you repeat the scene again and again? and what me annoy is they keep adding problem to the story and its so annoying. overall im quite shock to myself because i enoy watching this drama?.

OK, but disappointed with the ending

The first Chinese drama I watched was on going. The story is good with an interesting beginning but I had to pull my hair out when I saw the acting of the extras.

but it's ok.

Next, this story goes on about the beginning of the two main characters meeting and falling in love. it's a bit boring here but I keep watching because I'm waiting for something interesting. I first knew about this drama from TikTok footage and was interested in the footage when FL and ML were at the same workplace, so I was looking forward to it.

In terms of storyline, this is good, I enjoyed it because there were small child characters which then added to the dynamics of the story, which made it even more interesting, but at the end of the story, I started to lose enthusiasm to see it, I think it was episode 28. because I thought it was too long and tiring to watch. followed.

therefore I took a break to watch it and returned to watch it after the drama finished.

That's why I skipped the last two episodes because I felt bored. Then you have to be disappointed with the ending of the story which is far beyond predictions and too forced. if it was over with them finally being together, that would be so much better.

Ost? I don't remember ever hearing a song in this drama

acting, I like ML's acting, but FL still needs to develop more, but in this drama I also like Wang Churan

Asking yourself "Why am I watching this" over and over again

To some people this show was great. However, this show took a turn and did not recover.

It started out great. I loved the way they did flashbacks and integrated it into the current story. But then the story just created unnecessary drama that was not needed. For example, ML has an adopted son. They created the drama so his mom came back, and the kid (the mom abandoned him as an infant) decided to go live with her and ML gave the child back (WHY). A second example was the ML and FL going back to Africa (WHY). The drama started with them in Africa there was no reason to go back.

The ML gets injured and his family hides him from the ex-wife (WHY). ML has amnesia and does not remember their reconnecting and their journey (aka the whole drama) again WHY. I really struggled to finish this drama and ended up reading about the last episodes online because I was frustrated and annoyed.

This drama could have been so good if they made it shorter and took away some of these plots.

At first, I was all in for the whole doctor-in-Africa vibe, but as the series rolled on, the main character's personality didn't develop as it should've. It became clear he's got a truckload of issues and struggles with the whole love thing. I was smitten seeing him smile with Ruan and their adopted kiddo. But let's be real, the writers kinda lost their way in the details. On the flip side, Ruan had some solid character growth initially – she wasn't just a naive kid anymore, and I liked how her past wounds stayed open throughout the story. Now, about that adopted son – it felt off for him to be whisked away by his bio mom out of the blue, no legal tussle or a decent chat about co-parenting. Totally unnecessary and downright heartless. I called it quits on the drama because of that move. It just didn't connect in many ways.I was vibing with the characters and the whole dramatic setup, but there's no denying there were some serious hiccups in the production and script.

Pretty Good drama with a very nice insight on the lives of Doctors

First of all this drama is not as bad as some of the reviews say it is. It's actually gpt a pretty good story but I felt like it was dragged long a bit and it felt quite slow. The storyline is pretty average but there's good cinematography. The story has a very beautiful meaning behind it. Most dramas just show how they fall in love and get married and the end a happily ever after, but this drama shows the struggles after marriage. It also very nicely portrays the struggles faced by healthcare staff in their personal lives and their families. The cast have done a very good job at portraying their respective characters. The music is pretty good too, not my cup of tea but pretty good. Overall, although it's quite long its still very natirual and felt very realistic to me. If you're looking for dramas to binge watch I definitely recommend it! ???‍♀️????‍⚕️❤️‍??‍⚕️

What just happened?

Finished all 36 episodes and have to ask "what the #@%& happened in the last three episodes?"

Come on, writers, you can do better than that. You literally used the final 6 minutes of the final episode to wrap things up -- but didn't do a great job even then. Seriously, the worst ending to any C/drama I've ever watched.

The actors did a fine job with the script they were given. But the writing was sub-par. I don't have anything else to say but have to come up with 500 words for this review so I'll leave it as this -- watcher beware. This drama will make you mad at the end!

Good at the start, then goes downhill

The switch between then & now were done well with the indication of which year the scenes came from. It was interesting introduction to the main leads’ background story. But by ep 2, it’s hard to be impressed by the ML because of his characters. I was hoping that he would somehow become better by each episodes. By ep 12, watching him became annoying & wished the FL could end up with someone better. You might have thought that through the years of his divorce & having a son, ML would mature & improve his ability to express himself better. But nope, he’s still that same person who was cold, insensitive, unsymphatetic & harsh with words even towards his dad, his son & of course, his ex-wife (FL). By ep 19, ML is still the worse kind it’s hard to grow fond of him. Due to his jealousy, he finally confessed to liking FL but did it with anger & frustration. And they hooked up again. The lawyer guy who was chasing after the FL & who tried to be nice to her parents, was treated just like a passer-by without sparing his feeling. When he visited her home, she simply played dumb & told him to mingle with her parents, while she left with ML who childishly made fun of the lawyer as they both drove past him. Note: FL just laughed away. At this point, both leads became so annoying to watch, it is more bearable to watch the developing story of the supporting casts. Giving credits to their acting because the leads did so well that I dislike their characters.

Disturbingly Annoying

The only reason I got to episode 12 is that I'm intrigued by how they are going to turn around such a horrible storyline and characters. There are supposed to be 36 episodes in this, but I feel it's beyond saving.

Dear writers,
How come you fed us with flashbacks of the past to understand their relationship but suddenly STOPPED completely with the format? You could be using the same resource at least to gain some perspective as to whether the ML suffered at all! did he regret it? What happened to his life during those 6 years? ANYTHING would do so that maybe, just maybe, we could have some kind of empathy for him ( I doubt it, but still). And the FL? Your attempt to portray her tougher in the present time is meaningless, she doesn't seem to have evolved AT ALL. Maybe show us a flashback to understand what she has been doing all this time that she's still unable to have some self-pride. My god.

Dear ML,
You are the worst. Nothing, not your childhood or your career, justifies the way you behave. We've been through cold leads before, but even the coldest of them all would at least show an ounce of awareness. Disgustingly self-centered with no charisma whatsoever. Why in the world would you adopt a kid? are they trying to make you look more 'human'? Absolute FAIL. An irresponsible adult with no self-improvement in 6 years. An indifferent husband, a terrible father, and a doctor without empathy or sensitivity. WORST DRAMA CHARACTER I'VE SEEN.

Dear FL,
You were delusional in the past and still are in the present time. Again, probably the most annoying, clingy, pathetic, and sad FL I've experienced in dramas. No self-love or self-pride of any kind, but a whole lot of self-pity. Submissive to an unimaginable degree. You were young and in love -I'll give you that -but how come you didn't grow a backbone in 6 years? I can also try to understand that you need to interact with him for career purposes (which you never seemed committed to, to begin with) but...Carpooling with your ex? Faking mom to HIS son? Sleeping over with them? Toxic is an understatement.

Dear Kid,
I pity you deeply. You are surrounded by emotionally irresponsible adults.

Dear Friends & Family,
Why in the world would you want your daughter/sister/friend back with a man that has never - not once - shown her any kind of love or respect? just WHY?

Overall, these characters are as flat as my ironing table, they haven't made any contemplation, progress, or evolution throughout the years, non. FL's love towards him is borderline, and ML never loved her at all (convince me otherwise).
With the second lead entering the scene (he took his time) I hope you can show this woman what real love is so she can do some growing up for once. As for the ML, I couldn't care less.

STORY:
A drama where FL chases ML and marries him thinking that he would fall in love with her during their time together ,but eventually struggles with one sided love and leaves him as she wants to be loved by someone who loves her as much as she loves. They are reunited after 6 years as doctors at same hospital.

The plot line gave me emergency couple vibes and so i started this drama and is good for watching it once and has a good amount of humor.

Slightly it is irritating as ml takes FL for granted and marrying her just because she does and takes care of ML and he never showed her that he loves her.
ACTING:
I found the ML a bit older when compared to the FL and i find characters a bit flawed.

This is a drama which is worth watching only once

Just… WEIRD

The storyline goes back and forth in timelines- one is in the past from 2012, and the present which was 2019. This element I found quite interesting, so it sort of dampens the monotony and dullness. However, the progress of the leads relationship was just too weird.

In uni, he is her senior. She has a crush on him, but finds out he already has a fiancé! He’s about to get married when his fiancé breaks things off because she fell in love with someone else. He seems quite heartbroken. This is where the weirdness begins. Very soon after that, the FL confesses to ML. Everyone in uni thinks she is the cause of his broken engagement accusing her of stealing the boyfriend. Anyhow, after confessing, the next scene we see is her telling her family about him, that they are getting married!! Like.. WHUT???!!! He walks in with gifts saying yes they are getting married.

The ex fiancé meets with FL to warn her about marrying someone who doesn’t love her, she is convinced she can “make him” love her eventually. The wedding goes ahead, and they are just like “ getting along” during marriage. He doesn’t seem interested to sleep w her, until she seduces him with sexy lingerie. Well the story goes on, she found out and thinks she’s pregnant. He turns down an opportunity to go to US. She finds out she was mistaken and not pregnant. He then SNEAKS off and flies to US without even informing her!! And stays there for 13 months! The only time hey visit is her flying there to surprise him at the 13th month, but sees him so happy, not missing nor needing her. She flies home angry and wants a divorce. She packs her things hoping he will stop her. But he’s not even bothered. Just sits staring outside the window.

This is where I decided to drop it. Can’t accept this sort of bad writing. And I read in the comments, that later on, she actually forgives him and gets back together. But realised he hasn’t changed (ahbudennn??) and break up again. GURRLLLLL- don’t you learn from your mistakes?

So yes, I dropped it. Don’t waste your time with this one.
