An interesting Mystery Romance Drama but the last 4 episodes were a disappointment
My Lethal Man is a mystery romance drama starting not well-known actors and actresses with backgrounds in supporting roles in other C-dramas.The production quality is so bad; everything is so bright, especially during the kissing scenes. I am not sure why Chinese dramas always do that for cheap quality productions on streaming platforms like iQiyi, Tencent, MangoTV, etc.
I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the drama when the ML tried to solve the 17-year-old car accident that took his family's life. The plot was interesting until the last 4 episodes when things went wrong and stupid.
Even though it has a happy ending, the way it unraveled was so bad, and the acting was not great for either of the entire cast.
The FL does a better job than the ML, and the supporting CPs were not great. Some of the songs in the OST were good.
I am giving it a 6.5 because of the music and the first 20 episodes.

Trashy plot but Hotty Male lead
The plot is trash. The story has no coherence and no newness in story. If the scenes had more logical connection with, I would raise it to one bar. It was more like jumping to scenesThe FL and her friend are also trash. The friend was TOO CRINGE.
But I rated the drama only because of the ML. The moments when he weared glasses was 🔥🔥. Undoubtedly he is charismatic. The way he pulled the syringe was so hot. I am sure that this drama is only watched because of the Male lead.
I wll rewatch only the moments of the lead.

Our Lethal Couple
1. ACTINGIt's a collection of action+suspense+romance+depression/trauma. Honestly I really LOVE THE ACTING of the lead Fan Zhixin & Li Mozhi. Their CHEMISTRY & EMOTION are on top.
I didn't expect that Yan Xingcheng character will have many layers of emotion. I'm worried when he's angry cuz his anger really hits right. His madness ain't a joke. Then we he cried, he really looks helpless. When he got the attack, I'm sad for him. Seriously I hope Fan Zhixin can get more recognition by this character.
Li Mozhi also become my anticipated actress now. Her crying scene makes me feels sad too. She can varies her acting from the low confidence Shen Manning to the brave Manning. Her emotion hits right for me.
Together they supports each other through thick & thin. Their dialogue "I'm here" during peril situation really comforting.
2. OST
The OST is good here. It really brings out the right vibe for certain scene.
3. DIRECTING
I love how some scene are well directed to portray the right emotion/sequence. As example, the scene where the ML holds his hand out to help FL to get up from her devastated state. Then, the scene reversed when it's FL turn now to hold out her hands to ML while he's on his low state of life. Also, the drawing of drowning child that FL drawn really have a deep meaning to the ML that it makes him finally letting out his emotion after so much suppression. I really love the depth of this scene.
The cinematography also nice. The way they control the lighting really suits the mood either to be romantic/aesthetic.
4. STORY
I love the suspense they have in this series. Almost every episode got me hooked on the screen and eagerly wait what will happen to them. I understand that maybe the plot not someone's cup of tea but at least the suspense can bring us to watch this. Not to mention some plot twists also left me surprised.
I rarely enjoy modern chinese drama but this one really poke my interest to watch :D (P/S: this drama also kind of giving me a kdrama vibe ;D)

This defintely was not what I expected but it did not disappoint. I think the overall storyline was really good like it's a good concept but I found it a little confusing to watch so I feel like rewatching would fill in the gaps. The story was really unique, I found a lot of reviews saying the same thing and it's true. This story really was very different from most of the other c-dramas I've watched. It has elements of comedy. It starts off a little jolly but it gets more and more serious and more and more passionate as well. It has a LOT of tension. Great acting from the cast too! Absolutely loved the skills portrayed here on screen. Both acting and the cinematography has been done very well. A nd you def should rewatch this drama because it surely will make you understand the plot better. AND the OST is perfectly fits the tension in the drama! MY LETHAL MAN: TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN
My Lethal Man is a new Chinese drama following the story of Zhuang Xin Yan, the granddaughter of a rich and influential family, and Shen Man Ning, a local art student (both played by Li Mo Zhi). The drama begins with the story of twin roses. The two roses are identical, however when they encounter one another it results in one dying and the other beginning a new life. Similar to the story of the roses, Man Ning and Xin Yan quickly become entangled in an unexpected kidnapping case. However, Xin Yan dies in a car accident after she sacrifices herself to protect Man Ning.When Man Ning wakes up in the hospital she learns of Xin Yan’s death, meets Yan Xing Cheng (played by Fan Zhi Xin), and is forced to become Xin Yan and Xing Cheng’s fiancé. Although Xing Cheng is cold and mysterious, he prepares Man Ning for her entry into the highly political and tense succession war of LH Star, Xin Yan’s family company. As the Xing Cheng and Man Ning work together and overcome the drama and difficulties in the Zhuang Mansion and LH Star, the two slowly grow closer and eventually learn to love and rely on each other. Additionally, they probe deeper into the unsolved, mysterious car accident that Xin Yan barely survived 17 years ago.
Thoughts
My Lethal Man is definitely not your typical Chinese drama. Although it follows the familiar theme of conglomerate succession, the series has a unique take on romance. Rather than having two characters fall for one another and take their time to establish a relationship, Man Ning and Xing Cheng are forced together as a couple and gradually grow closer.
Although Man Ning is initially portrayed as a weak and nervous character, she eventually becomes more confident and reassured as she attempts to become a legitimate Xin Yan and heir to LH Star. I also liked how she was willing to fight for her relationships. It was nice to see a Chinese drama break the stereotypical weak female lead who walks away from a relationship. Despite being strangers, Man Ning and Xing Cheng have great chemistry as they continue to grow closer with one. However, the connection between Xin Yan and Xing Cheng is definitely surprising and unexpected to say the least!

Watched only for Fan ZhiXin and he didn't disappoint at all
FANN ZHII XINNN... you are one gem of an actor I need to tell you that! first watched him in My Girl as SL and he just swoon away all the attention apart from the main leads! Then watched him in Our Secret, again had to watch him as Second lead and wanting to watch him as ML one day and yes the dream came true and how... we could witness every node of his art in just one character- Romantic, jealous, a bit psycho, angry, domineering CEO, and what not! full package boss (bole toh paisa vasool!!)If I had watched this drama in theatre, there were many scenes were I literally wanted to cheer for him by whistling and clapping😂😂😂
Apart from him, the FL was also so so so good at her role, we could see Zhaung Xinyan when she played her for the tiny part and ofcourse Shen Manning when she played her, the difference was very clearly visible and here she won as an actor! hatsoff! Also, the Indian audience who is reading my review, can you agree to me that she is Rashi khanna's doppleganger, omg for me, they look exactly the sameee!!! such coincidence 😲😲
The story, bit sucked to me because I felt it went round and round and the drama did not take the name of stopping and the story mostly focused on the shares of LH group and Zhaung Family instead of main leads love story, they could have shown more of them rather than those foolish plans and plots. also, the story ended in rather unsatisfied way, cause I wanted to see what happened to Jaikai and Caixuan after his mother's arrival but it was all left to audience to assume that they might be in jail, yes agreed their deeds were such they must be in jail but did their intention changed, did Caixuan wholeheartedly apologized to others for murdering 3 people...

All the Cheese and So I love it!
I didn’t realized I was in the mood for My Lethal Man, until I started the drama and boy did this one surprised me and my expectations. Sometimes, you want the cheese in a melodrama. You know what I am talking about. I want the fall kiss, I want the damsel in distress, I want the alpha ML and I want it with pretty actors with awesome fashion.This one was pretty high budget, the cast were gorgeous and to my surprise, I didn’t realized the ML was 23! He didn’t look 23 at all in the drama and I’m glad I didn’t look up his age until after I finished the drama. The FL is 29 and she doesn’t look 29 at all either!
My favorite aspects of the show was, casting (very pretty), high fashion (even the secondary characters dressed nice) and cheesy (but addictive) plot. I really liked the enemies to lover relationship and usually that isn’t my thing.
This drama could have been another cheesy, awkward romance troupe, but I think the acting and casting really made this drama come to life. I really liked that it was a melodrama and I really felt the chemistry between the leads (plenty of kissing scenes).
I loved that the FL plays a “rich” person and she dressed really nice. As much as I love my frumpy FL, it was just pleasant to see the FL have some fashion sense. The secondary cast had a fun storyline too and I loved the love triangle, you never knew where it was going to go.
Overall, if you want a cheesy melodrama C drama, this is it. It will give you all the feels and smiles.

so the story follows shen manning who is like the photocopy of zhuang xinyang. xinyang is an heiress and is chased by people cuz they wanna kill her. but xinyang and manning look so much alike they mistake them and manning gets pulled into the crossfire where xinyang dies and manning survives. through twists and turns of rfate manning finds herself in the zhuang mansion where xincheng claims to be her fiancee and they both try to survive in there while trying to capture the family business and find out buried truths
i liked how xincheng's identity was so secretive from the very starts. i was so curious i even googled it. it did ick me a bit that his sister and girlfriend look exactly same but we're gonna ignore that
every character played their character so well i have literally no words. i never expected such good acting. fan zhi xin?? his acting?? mind oggling im on the floor. his expressions were so good. i could see it deep down in his soul (ok maybe im exaggerating but it was just THAT good)
i loved the second leads. tang lin really messed up my mind i wanted to punch her so bad but she repented and i was happy to see her recovered in the end.
all in all this is a really good drama with an amazing revenge plot and angst and sexual tension. i loved it so so much now im gonna need 2 business days to recover

Great drama a must watch
Great drama..I loved it at parts and hated it at parts as well. Why ML didn't just tell FL he loved her was beyond me. And at the end I half expected her to say she was pregnant. I like the male leads rough nature at first then he softens up for her.I've got to many questions like why didn't Yan YI's mom ask about her father or her daughter? Or even ask about the fact that her son was in love with her daughters doppelganger? And what's up with the fighter? On the stairwell it looked as if he wanted to tell her he liked her as well but stopped as if on second thought I'll just pass her to be busy?? Or how Shen Manning and Tang Lin's could bury the hatchet so to speak without actually speaking? Or how you can break a car window with your elbow. It unlocking a door by knocking the door kept off? Or Yan YI's remedy for allergies. ALL these questions and NOT enough answers.
But it really shocked me on how Tang Lin's brother is not only the president of not only his company but LH Star as well, when he admitted he was behind the corporate espionage.
Plus wouldn't it be weird to sleep with someone who now has your sisters eyes and looked exactly like her?? It'd make me feel like I was sleeping with my own sister.

cute but stressing
I LOVE THEIR RELATIONSHIP. it gives wattpad enemies to lovers iykyk. i enjoy shows that remind me tropes i love. - I think this drama is worth it dahil eye candy yung Yan XinCheng, light and fun yung story ni Mei Na, Fang XIang, at Yuan Shuai, and Manning is not that weak after all dami nya naitulong.
- Their chemistry and kisses are really good.
-Ang cute ni Xin Cheng kahit umiyak. I like their actings and he is one of the actor na dahil bakit pinanood ko to bagay kase sya sa role.
- THe drama has some weird scenes and loopholes but still it's watchable after ep4
- Grandpa waited CaiXuan, his daughter, na umamin at magbago even though alam niya at ni Uncle Lin na c CaiXuan may sala pero after mamatay c Xin yan his granddaughter eh dapat tinigil na nila lahat ng kasamaan at plano ni CaiXuan dami tuloy trouble. He waited 17 years na magbago anak niyang c Caixuan pero nagsuffer nmn sila XinCheng at company nila.
- DI ko lang bet yung middle of Ep 1- Ep3 medyo hard lalo na parang ang controlling ni XinCheng at nanakal kay Manning. It reminded me of some chinese mini series namay pagka abusive. But good thing at Ep 4 di na ganun c guy ang red flag lng kase kung ganun sya lage.
- I like also the bff of Manning and the 2 friend of xincheng. They are easy to watch. And the love triangle goes to them instead of the main lead and is not annoying hehe.
-good thing hindi masama yung competitor nila na, kapatid ni Tang Ling, at siya mismo tumulong sa personal na problema ng Zhuang family in finding the Mom.
