Two people, one bedroom, 3 meals, four seasons. I am grateful I have you.

I waited for the series to end before I binge it...and I love every minute of it!

One of the best things was...a series NOT about high school or university crush or love. Simply a beautiful love between 2 adults.

I just loved it! The chemistry between the 2 main couple was way off the chart! You can see how comfortable they are with each other. Especially the way Xun An looks at Bai Liang. You can feel the love radiating from his eyes. What really pulled on my heartstring was Xun An was prepared to incur the wrath of his father to get him to accept Bai Liang.

I know the storyline may not be everyone's cup of tea but it's still awesome. I would have given it a 10 if they not rushed the ending and have shown more of the following.

- Xun An realizing that Bai Liang was the one who gave him the cakes in college.
- Bai Liang's reaction to seeing Xun An's wounds and how he would lovingly treat them.
- Would have been great if there were more kisses since both actors are sooooo comfortable with kissing each other.
- Bai Liang and Xun An's wedding.
- More screen time for Alex & AJ.

And...wow...the playful and surprised kiss in the car while Xun An was driving! Scream!!!

The proposal from Xun An...sigh..."From now on, your heart, your teeth, and everything about you, can I have all of you?" Me...melted... Xun An...loves him to bits! Making me want to young and single again...lol.

The way they called each other 'baby'...so adorable and endearing. Love it, love it! Makes you tingle all over.

So if you have not watch the series, I would advise you not to wait any longer. You might regret for not watching it earlier!!

The dentist is not only specialized in tooth healthcare; he can also take care of your heart

The realistic relationship issues that center in coping the psychological/mental aspects of a partner are very appreciative and commendable in this series. What a dedicated men the main leads are! The trust between BaiLang-XunAn far exceeds my expectation in a romantic relationship. They managed to fight against their obstacles with 100% effort. I love most of the plots about their relationship. In comparison with other couple, Alex-RJ is interesting but has lost their spark at the end.

Seriously, I didn't expect too much before watching this series. The title isn't giving a must-watch value. But when I watched this series entirely, I couldn't stop watching. To tell you more, there are no skip scenes at all. If only the ending isn't that rushed, this can be perfectly recommendable to others.

Overall, this is... Very watchable. Lovable. Healthy.

So sweet it'll hurt your teeth

I absolutely love this bl. It's so cute, from beginning to end. The main couple is super adorable though Bai Lang can be a bit oblivious. My favourite couple was RJ and Alex so I'm feeling a bit sad because I was waiting for a kiss or maybe some hand holding, just anything romantic. Was surprised to really enjoy the sister and Xun' ans uni love but I did. Love the dynamic between her and the kid. A and the hockey player were cute as well, from what little we saw of them. Honestly I hope they do a special ep just for the side couples because I need more of them. Over all, please watch this. It's a good refresher if you've been watching any majorly dramatic shows or are just looking for something new. Only complaint is that the dad got literally no consequences for his horrible behaviour and I didn't really like how all that was just forgiven once he accepted Xun' ans sexuality and his relationship with Bai Lang. Other than that though, this show was a ball of fluff with little drama and lots of sweet moments.

Episode 11 Opinion/ Thoughts

OMG just saw the latest episode of My Tooth Your Love and OMFG. EP. 11

i have mixed feelings about this episode and this is why [ THIS IS A LOT OF SPOILERS] so finish the episode first. I appreciate the fluff in the first few minutes. the whole good/bad cop while bai was giving him the bracelet was funny and cute.

things I was kinda sad and frustrated with is how Jin wants to do everything by himself. Bai has definitely expressed how he felt about Jin's family and Jin decided to hide and handle everything on his own. To be fair, I thought he was hiding something else until the last few minutes of the episode. I fucking hated THE INFERENCE of how his dad beat Jin up to the point he left him fucking bruises for telling his father that he is dating Bai. I didn't really appreciate the mother's comment of when she said, "is Bai so demanding of wanting you to tell your family". LIKE BITCH YOU ARE OKAY WITH HIM DATING BAI AS LONG AS HE DOESN'T TALK ABOUT HIM OR HIS SEXUALITY?!! THAT IS NOT ACCEPTANCE.

after seeing the preview I got genuinely so fucking mad!! wtf. Jin's father literally physically hurt him to the point that he has bruises and lashes(?) on his body. LIKE WTF. I AM LIVID RN. I mean, I am aware that this is how some families react irl but idk I guess this just triggered some things. But I am soo sad for Jin. he just wants to carry the entire burden but he is only hurting himself emotionally trying to do this all alone. Bai is with you !!! he needs to try and rely a little on his partner cause at this point, Bai is also sensing something and is worried.

also, RJ! BRING RJ BACK. THERE IS ONLY ONE EPISODE LEFT. I hope they don't rush everyone else's story. Like Big A and the hockey player and RJ and Alex. like please they have soo much potential. I hope the last episode is not rushed overall because they still need to cover so much, imo.

Very disappointed by the writing and pacing, too many secondary couples without substance

This BL is about the encounter of dentist Jin Xun An and restaurant-bar owner Bai Lang who suffer from a serious tooth ache and is terrified by having to go to the dentist. I found the story interesting at first in a slice-of-life way...Unfortunately, it felt apart very quickly because of big issues in terms of pacing as well as in the writing itself. At the end of each episode, I realised how slow the development of characters went, and how little happened in each episode.

In addition to the main couple, there were also 3 storylines around 3 secondary couples which were unispired and not really developped in any purposeful or meaningful way. It felt like random fluff but without any substance or care and details for the characters. I really think the series overall would have benefited for the script to focus solely on the main couple and only one additional couple. Preferably on the bartender and apprentice one. That's the one that was the most exciting and cute....and sadly enough there was almost no screen time for them.

The acting was quite average. The main actors had some cute moments but nothing really exciting. The chemistry was cute but not flaming hot. I think I wanted more from it but the script was not helping at all.

The production was standard with nothing really noticeable here, except for the various meals which looked very good (lunchboxes and cocktail from the resto-bar that looked really appetizing, characters cooking tantalizing dishes...). The OST was relatively ordinary and left no memories at all on me. The ending sequence with the cute dance was fun but I did not like the main song.

I would not recommend this BL as I felt there was pacing issues and the writing was really not strong enough to have interesting elements during the full duration of the drama. There are not enough good ideas and plot points for the length of the series, the screenwriter could have taken some shortcuts on some repetitive developments and focus a bit more of her energy in building one secondary couple (-just one of them) to improve pacing. I enjoyed much more comparatively the two other BLs that I have seen from the same screenwriter Lin Pei Yu (namely "We Best Love" and "Kiseki Dear to Me"): those two were not without flaws in the writing but were really nice to watch despite of it. In the case of "My Tooth Your Love", the acting and the production are not strong enough to compensate the issues in the storylines itself and make it exciting enough.

Another masterpiece for me.

Such a ride. It was very incredible! The Taiwanese BL series never lets you down. The chemistry between each couple is incredible! I cried for real when he requested his parents' consent out of respect for them and because he wanted Bailang to consider his parents to be his own. Although RJ is almost 19, we can't avoid the fact that it's forbidden because of their age difference; therefore, I can kind of see why I didn't get more of RJ and Alex. Perhaps we will see RJ in his 20s if they have their own series. Congratulations to everyone who worked on this series; you did such a great job!

It is sweet that I need to see a dentist!

A love story between a dentist and a bar owner was a new thing for me to see. They managed to create a cute romance between numerous couples with winning chemistry. Although the reasoning behind the phobia of seeing a dentist from the main character’s perspective doesn’t conclude well, I still enjoyed it since this is where everything began.

The main couple was great and deserves to be the star of the show but it also pains me to be left hanging with the minimum screentime from the side couples. RJ and Alex were cute but I feel like Big A and his admirer are worthier to be called as the next couple between the main. I easily swayed and fell in love with Big A and his adorable little bye-bye’s that are so soft and gentle.

All the characters are lovely and I enjoyed the entirety of the show. It was not super impactful but the important thing is how I see and remember them in general. I liked the settings and the absence of annoying villains from the story, it made the show even lighter to absorb. The lines from the script were too clever too.

Toothache Sweet wWith a Dentist on Top

So Sweet it will give you a toothache... or maybe it is more like make you want to go to the dentist... However this drama is actually nothing special it has some trauma here and there, decent pace, some romance some minor drama, a bunch of insecurities... And a few tropes I enjoyed and some I enjoyed a bit less.

The dentist male lead is a lovely slightly cold but also straight forward and the type to use words while still staying cold.

The Restaurant owner male lead is a bit childish at times, in a mostly cute way, he is bubbly, kind and an overall interesting character though I am not an expert his portrayal of trauma management feels a bit off...

Having a lot of scenes at the dentists office with teeth is not really my thing as I do not enjoy needless or looking in to peoples mouthes so I found myself looking away more often then in a drama with gore in it so be warned.

There are no annoying characters in this drama, a bunch of good friendships and found family. However yet another BL with mature adults that included a couple with a person who is legally an adult but who has not really passed puberty felt unnecessary the characters where good enough as they where.

Other then that there are some nice food shots, lovely hoodies and great scenes shot in the rain... So though it may not be a masterpiece it is highly bingeable, sweet and definitely worth a watch.

Has the era of solid Taiwanese BLs passed?

At 12 episodes long, I can’t help but feel that the show could have been condensed in fewer episodes with less unnecessary drama as fillers for the story arc (i.e. repeated reappearance of the ex, family resistance) such that the storyline became completely diluted.

My Tooth Your Love has all the classic romance (BL?) tropes. Main character with a past trauma thinks he doesn’t deserve to be loved. Tsundere main character 2 who is the archetypal ‘Perfect Man’. An ex that returns mid-series.

The series started off promising with above-average chemistry between a frightened patient and an insistent (and very handsome) dentist). Bailang comes with baggage and Xunan is always around to help him through it.

The main couple was pretty cute together, but I can’t quite figure out if the show was going for a fluffy patient-meets-tsundere-dentist romance story… or a story about two people working through their past baggage together? It seems like the latter but so much time was spent on other details, which is a pity.

One of the side couples had an interesting story that deserved a series on its own BUT I just couldn’t ship them. Perhaps it’s because he’s still in high school, or was it because his character was just so childish? Whatever it is, I just wasn’t feeling this couple. Sorry.

Cute overall

First of all: if you watched the first episode and you're considering dropping the series altogether because of how the main characters seem to be like, please consider watching a couple more episodes. At the beginning I was actually considering dropping this series because of how Bai Lang seemed too spoiled and childish, while Xun An seemed too grumpy and cold - a combination I saw too many times in romantic series, I'm afraid. The story and the introspection of the characters do a marvelous job at portraying both of them much better in the following episodes.

This series was pretty cute, and I mostly appreciated the original take on both the plot and the character introspection. The main characters have both their own emotional problems and ghosts of the past, but at the same time this isn't one of the usual "who needs therapy when you have a boyfriend?" kind of situation. The slow but steady development of the relationship between Bai Lang and Xun An was beautiful and I enjoyed it very much. Also, although this is more of a personal preference, I really appreciated how the problems between the two weren't the usual misunderstandings and "let's just disappear and have a very long time skip" sort of problems that BLs use way too often, but rather problems that might occur to a real couple.

Unfortunately I can't say the same for the secondary characters. I feel like the writers tried to include too many stories in the same series, which only resulted in frustrating, barely-there side plotlines. There was a lot more to show and tell about Qing Tian and Alex and their story just left me wanting more; as for Da/Xiao A and the hockey player, I'm still wondering who thought it was necessary to include their romance in the first place.
I also didn't really like how Qi Ran's character was introduced in the story. I feel like the production team worked hard to show us his character and his past with Xun An at the best of their possibilities, but I was completely unable to enjoy it - if anything, I felt bored.

In conclusion, I'd say that it was a very cute watch, and the actors played their roles very well. Although it's far from being one of my favorite BL series, I'd recommend watching it once if you're looking for something romantic and with the right amount of drama.

gotta be malpratice

The average rating for this show was 9 stars, with the highest episode being rated 10 stars and the lowest being rated 8 stars. This was an all-around really good drama, and I recommend it 100 percent. The story was good; it wasn't rushed but didn't feel slow-burning. i don't know i really liked this. It was shorter than most, with the episodes being 30 to 40 minutes rather than a full hour or 80 minutes. It was solid. The acting was really good. the parts where it needed it most. From the panic attacks to the dreams to the lip quivering when he was crying, my lord, that was good. whoever was on track needs to be fired right now i was not rocking with that at all. the music sucked actually ass. I will probably watch this again. The title kinda gave it away so even though i didn't read the description, i understood what was going on almost immediately. There was definitely some malpratice going on, but this was a good drama overall. RJ and Alex needed more screen time, because yeah. Their chemistry was crazy. Alex's dimples are so cute; if only he smiled more. When Daddy Dentist and Lang were making out, the lip-biting had me rolling on my knees, my god. this was a great drama. the wheel chose the sky in your heart next. Okay bye!

Excessively Cute

I find that with BL shows in particular, there tends to be strong sense of unreality created by a confluence of poor writing, often amateurish acting, and and overall lack of interest in creating characters that feel real. This show is an exception to that rule, even with the absurdity of basing the entire premise around falling in love with a dentist. The main couple feels human and, their romance was sweet, but also felt very truthful. Though there is a will they/won't they aspect to the story, their relationship progresses in a very natural, very positive way, and it makes the show feel genuinely refreshing to watch. I didn't find the secondary couples compelling at all, and I wish I did, but they weren't given space to breathe, and because of that, they felt unnecessary.

The acting wasn't always on the money (Andy Wu made some odd choices throughout the show), but was generally consistent and inoffensive. Andy Wu and Yu Jin had a lot of chemistry and comfort with each other on screen. Many of the supporting actors felt a little stiff, and a bit cheesy, but while it stuck out to me, I don't think it was super out of place given the tone of the show.

This is a show that I would come back to for specific scenes, but not to rewatch front to back. It is worth at least one watch-through, though.
