Rollercoster of emotions
The drama had the potential to be the drama of the year but somewhere the story failed to maintain the momentum towards the end.It's a great slice of life drama about the relationship of a mother and her son and it's more than beautifully depicted. The story has amazing acting and is definitely one of Ra Mi Ran's personal best.
But.... There are some dramas that start off with an explosive story, amazing pictography and beautiful and poetic narratives that somehow take you up in the sky but with two episodes remaining, you know all that momentum needs atleast 4 or 5 episodes more. That was the anxiety that i went through which is why i was dissappointed.
I don't regret watching this because it gave me a lot of positivity and courage but at the same time, it left me wanting more.
Will i watch it again? No.
Will i recommend it to anyone? Hell yeah. It's a good watch and the chemistry between Lee Do Hyun and Ra Mi Ran is quite heart-warming.

Actors did a tremendous job portraying such complex characters. (Did not like the romance)
Ep 1: It was a rollercoaster of emotions. I started out liking Young Soon, she was such a strong woman not just physically but at the time mentally as well. It was nice to watch Young Soon & Hae Shik's romance progress into marriage. They were good to each other and Hae Shik was so damn nice. One of the reason it saddens me to see how Young Soon treated Kang Ho. She isn't wrong though, being nice did get Hae Shik killed. That doesn't excuse the trauma she inflicted on her son. Even knowing her reasons doesn't make her a good mother. As if that wasn't enough, she has to blame her son for his father getting killed? Shitty parenting, right there. That's the kind of twisted mothers that we don't need. Her mental strength in the beginning was clearly a facade that shattered with the death of her husband. I read a comment somewhere from a twisted woman that she wouldn't forgive the FL for ruining ML's exam like that. How are people so emotionally stunted? Are you going to leave your partner who has just had an accident to fend for themselves to just attend an exam that can be repeated? That's right. Exams' can be repeated, you can't treat your people like shit. People who treat you well are precious. They need to be treated the same. Overall, such a good story with depth. The FL is an interesting but silly character, but that's exactly what the poor guy needs after being treated the way he was by his mother.Ep 2: Since the drama was highly recommended by numerous Instagram accounts, I am sure that the ML isn't a bad guy but is plotting something. The mother and child are alive somewhere, no need to be fooled by only parts of what they are showing us. Even though, I detest Young Soon, it did seem like Kang Ho was harsh on her. But you could see that even with what he was doing, he was conflicted. I'm not sure that woman ever apologized for the harm that she caused to her child. I liked that he iced her out. He is giving her everything she gave him, except for the warmth she failed to give. Mi Joo's life seems to be going in a different direction. With the way, things were left hanging about their relationship in previous episode, it was natural to assume that Kang Ho broke up with her so that he could not be swayed by things and focus on his exams. I thought she was the aunt to the children but she is actually their mother. It would have been better had the father of her children been anyone other than Kang Ho, because once he broke up with her he didn't look back.
Ep 3: Did not think that Ha Young would be like that. I didn't like her for her interaction with Mi Joo, when she acted bratty. But she seemed to liked Kang Ho, so I figured everyone has a right to move on in their life. Right now, I'm wondering why she took the decision she did. Did she figure out the reason Kang Ho was hell-bent on marrying her? Coming to the Mom, she finally behaved in a manner of that a Mom should. She finally cared for him in the right way when he was paralyzed. So much for having a new father, who didn't look into what was happening with Kang Ho once he was paralyzed. I'm sure Kang Ho was disgusted to even interact with that guy, but he probably did so seeking revenge. I'm a bit divided on how to feel about her withholding food from him to motivate him. It worked, so I'm happy that she is aiding his recovery. But there could have been other ways. She is just someone who isn't equipped to find those ways and would instead stick to her character. At least, she knows that she is a bad mom. But not all of her accepts it, because she did say that she treated him that way when he was a child was for his own good. That was a cop out.
Ep 4: Although I don't like her for how she treated her child, I'm slowly growing to respect Ha Young for who she is now. It is good to see Kang Ho play with the kids, something he rarely got to do when he was a kid. In a way, this is like a second chance for him. I though Kang Ho had broken up with Mi Jo after he missed his exam. It was surprising to see that they picked up again, especially Mi Joo being so forgiving when he left without a word. This time around, he might have broken up with her because he wanted to pursue his revenge. Mi Joo life is going downhill now, her partner stole all the money and ran away. Now, she has to climb out of that hole and also find another way to make money for her kids. The only thing I didn't like about Mi Joo was that she kept her being pregnant from him. I imagine their lives would have been better had she told him about it. But you never know, he still might have gone down the revenge path.
Ep 5: With the way their past relationship was developing, I had a feeling that Kang Ho would abandon Mi Joo in the way he did. What a cruel way to dump someone who was there for you. It would have bee better for Mi Joo to end up with Sam-Sik. He is chaotic as hell but he would have been a better choice. Kang Ho really lucked out with his accident. He's going to be forgiven by her because she feels pity for him. I do not like it, especially since he made such a selfish decision and tried to buy off her love. This is the kind of romance I avoid watching. Let's see if he does anything to make up for the hurt he is caused once he regains his memory. If not, then I'm gonna feel more sad for Mi Joo and her children.
Ep 6 & 7: I have come to realize that the Drama's name is very apt. The Good Bad Mother, although so far a lot of it was bad with some rays of Good shining through. I was pretty shocked with her decision to give up on her life. Instead, I thought she was going to get some treatment so she could live at least a while longer. But I guess she felt pushed into a corner so its hard not to feel bad for her as well. Poor Kang Ho had to see her at that moment. He must have been so scared. I feel bad for Mi Joo as well. From the way things are going, it looks like she has more empathy than the past Kang Ho deserved. She is going to soften and probably look after him when his mother dies.
Ep 8 to 10: It must have hurt Mi Joo so much to have seen Kang Ho with another woman while she was there with their children. She will forgive him, but will she ever forget the pain? I want Mi Joo and her twins to be happy. I want Kang Ho to be happy as well, but not before he makes amends. Even when he dumped her like that, she still waited for him, only to be dumped again. I hope Mi Joo gets the closure she deserves. I didn't much like Kang Ho's explanation about how he loved her too much, when the idiot never even knew that it was to fight battles together and not leaving people in the dust after you have used them.
Ep 11 to 14: What bothers me the most about this drama is that it gives out the message that its okay to treat people poorly as long as you have a reason to do it. Young Soon had a reason for being an abusive mother. Kang Ho had a reason for abandoning Mi Joo then he got together with Ha Young. Mi Joo & her mother's reason for loving men who didn't love them enough. Well they all got what they wanted so a happy ending for them.
Kudos to the cast for pulling off such a great feat. I'm off to watch "Welcome To Samdalri" because some parts of this drama reminded me of my fav's Cho Young Pil & Sam Dal. My heart needs healing from all the stress this drama put me through.

Drame familial avec comédie et une pointe de thriller en prime
The Good Bad Mother est sincère dans son traitement et fort dans son émotion sous couvert de sa comédie et son sérieux parfois déroutant.Le cochon prend une grande place dans l'intrigue sur le plan social. On le retrouve sous la forme d'une métaphore, mais aussi d'une énième façon de nous rappeler que nous, êtres humains, avons beaucoup a apprendre des animaux même ceux qui semblent en apparence être les plus sales.
Ra Mi Ran et Lee Do Hyun offrent une performance mémorable et entière dans leurs rôles respectifs.
Ra Mi Ran représente la mère sévère qui passe facilement pour la méchante et mauvaise mère. Lee Do Hyun est un acteur doué qui ne cesse de surprendre. Il prend son rôle avec aisance, du procureur froid à l'adulte retrouvant une âme d'enfant.
L'ensemble du casting est excellent. Si vous êtes habitués aux dramas de ce genre (campagne et petit village), leurs mentalités et comportements ne vous surprendront pas, cela dit ils sont tous très bons. Kim Won Hae est un habitué des rôles secondaires, mais peu importe qui il incarne, il me fait toujours rire au possible.
L'intrigue est intéressante à suivre, car elle n'est pas "trop", mais "assez". Contrairement à d'autres productions qui vont abuser des surprises ou retournements de situations, The Good Bad Mother reste honnête jusqu'au bout et lui donne ce subtile goût de satisfaction.
La romance est mignonne et n'a pas besoin de prendre trop de morceaux dans l'intrigue, elle se suffit - de plus les connecteurs sont bien amenés. On se concentre franchement sur la relation mère/fils. De sa création à son évolution jusqu'à ses prises de conscience et changements.
En bref, c'est un bon drama qui possède une jolie dynamique, de belles scènes et une relation familiale forte avec un casting brillant.

Conseguiu se tornar meu dorama preferido
Simplesmente incrível. Essa série conseguiu me prender do início ao fim, passada a semana toda aguardando os episódios serem liberados na netflix pra poder entender um pouco mais da história, sofrer e me apaixonar um pouco mais junto com os personagens. Pode ser categorizada como rom-com, mas essa seria vai muito além disso, ela trata sobre relacionamento familiar, como as pessoas que nos cercam também se tornam nossa família. Achei incrível como a visão que temos do relacionamento entre o Kang Ho e a mãe dele muda conforme entendemos de verdade o que aconteceu. Confesso que derramei alguma ~ muitas ~ lágrimas nos últimos episódios. Gostaria de apagar tudo da memória, rever e reviver tudo do começo. La verdad es que estaba buscando otro drama cómico y ligero después de terminar de ver Dr. Cha y, aunque la sinopsis de este hablaba de un accidente y algunas tragedias, el cartel y mi imaginación me hicieron creer que se trataba también de un drama de comedia y dijo “Esto es exactamente lo que yo estoy buscando” y me dispuse a verlo. Normalmente tardo como 20 días en ver un drama completo, este lo he terminado en 2 días, decir que he hecho un maratón es quedarse corto y es que apenas terminaba un capítulo, ya sentía la necesidad de ver el siguiente.
He de decir que no es una serie que siguiera las expectativas que yo tenía, porque al final la trama era mucho más seria de lo que me imaginaba, sin embargo, hay muchos momentos cómicos y de risas y algo que me sorprendió es que todos los personajes son el alivio cómico dependiendo la situación del momento. De verdad, es una serie que recomiendo muchísimo, a mi me ha robado el corazón y creo que va a ser difícil ver durante un tiempo otra que le haga justicia, ya que era una serie que todavía no había terminado y ya la estaba echando de menos y deseando volver a verla.
Da igual la situación en la que te encuentres, da igual lo que estés buscando, tu siguiente drama tiene que ser si o si The Good Bad Mother, seguro que no te arrepentirás.

Lindo, perfeito! Um dos melhores do ano <3
O melhor dorama de 2023 até agora, é lindo, emocionante...tudo de bom! A história é boa, elenco é bom, e a atuação para mim foi o melhor de tudo, todos conseguiram interpretar seus papéis muito bem, principalmente o ator Lee Do Hyun, que deu um arraso no seu papel como Kang-Ho."The Good Bad Mother" conta a história de Kang-Ho e sua mãe, que após a morte de seu pai, um criador de porcos, sua mãe cria seu filho de uma forma muito rigorosa para que ele tenha boas notas e se torne um promotor em busca da vingança por seu pai, vários outros personagens presentes na história ajudam os dois, além de outros enredos aconteceram no decorrer do drama.
Achei esse drama muito importante pois mostra a realidade de muitas pessoas que, infelizmente, cresceram com pais extremamente controladores, que só pensavam nos estudos do filho e em seu futuro, fazendo com que ele não tivesse liberdade alguma, como foi representado no drama, onde ele não podia comer porque comer demais o daria sono e ele não teria animação para estudar, não podia ter amigos ou uma namorada pois não iria ter concentração para o estudo.
Sobre o romance, achei os dois muito fofos e com muita química, mas não posso negar que fiquei com um pouco de raiva no meio do drama, quando aparecia a Mi-Joo cuidando sozinha dos dois filhos, pois o pai deles não era presente. Mas, no final, compensou todo o ódio e raiva que passei. Gostei muito quando no final o Kang-Ho deu para a Mi-Joo um porquinho após pedi-la em casamento, igual o pai dele deu para sua mãe quando pediu ela em casamento.
O final do drama para mim foi a parte mais triste, acredito que para muitas pessoas também. Chorei demais, me emocionei muito, porque mesmo com a "parte feliz", que foi o romance entre os dois protagonistas, teve também a "parte triste", a morte da mãe do Kang-Ho. Achei muito triste que após mais de 30 anos tentando justiça pela morte injusta do pai do protagonista, quando ele finalmente consegue, sua mãe morre pouco tempo depois.
Então, podemos concluir que "The Good Bad Mother" é um drama lindo, emocionante e extraordinário! Em cada episódio era uma emoção diferente, uma hora ria, outra chorava, passava raiva, etc. Amei cada segundo desse drama e gostaria de assistir de novo com a mesma sensação que tive quando assisti no lançamento. Assistir esse dorama foi uma experiência incrível e super recomendaria, tudo foi impecável: personagens, história, romance, ost, e principalmente a mensagem passada na novela!

"Dizemos que é para alguém que encontramos pela primeira vez. Mas o destino é o que dizemos a alguém que fica conosco até o fim."O drama me conquistou desde os primeiros minutos, amei o equilíbrio entre comédia, melodrama, ação e romance. A história me fez me prender do inicio ao fim, a chegar ao ponto de não querer terminar de assistir o dorama. Os atores nem se fala, se o elenco não ganhar nenhum prémio esse ano, eu ficarei muito triste. Amei que mostrou que apesar da forma dura que Jin Young Soon criou Kang Ho, ela foi uma ótima mãe até mesmo após sua partida. Foi tudo incrível, as amizades, os romances, o crescimento de cada personagem!

The good bad mother
Diossss, qué buen drama! La verdad es que el primer episodio casi me hace no seguirlo viendo, porque es muy muy introductorio y no muestra realmente lo que se verá en los siguientes capítulos, pero a partir del segundo empieza a ser un drama adictivo.Siento que se habla mucho sobre segundas oportunidades, pero creo que realmente no se les toma la importancia. Por un lado, la mamá de Kang Ho tiene esta nueva oportunidad de remediar sus actitudes y crianza hacia él y decide seguir teniendo comportamientos muy crueles. Me dolía mucho lo que le hacía pasar a Kang Ho. Si bien, ella sabía que lo que hacía estaba mal, no dejaba de hacerlo. Y sí, si crueldad ayudó a que Kang Ho realmente avanzara en su rehabilitación, pero a qué costó? 😩 pobre nene
Igual, la quiero mucho a la señora. Sabía que hacía mal, pero realmente quería a su hijo y hacía mucho por él.
Toda la historia me encantó. Los personajes los amé y lo disfruté taaaaaanto que se convirtió en uno de mis favoritos <3
También siento que el final fue apresurado, pero la verdad es que lo disfruté mucho y eso cuenta más. GRAN DRAMA.

talvez a gente devesse maneirar no hype
por mais que eu tenha adorado o kangho, a mijoo e as crianças, eu não gostei basicamente todos os outros personagens, inclusive a mãe, eu entendo que o objetivo do dorama é deixar você com a dúvida se ela é uma boa mãe ou não, se você gosta dela ou não, mas pra mim foi um não nos dois casos.eu acho que the good bad mother tenta demais fazer você simpatizar com uma mãe abusiva e manipuladora.
não gostei muito do andamento do show, achei bem lento em várias partes e acho que se demorou demais em alguns assuntos que não tinha necessidade ao mesmo tempo em que não deu devida importância pra assuntos que (na minha opinião) eram mais importantes.
fui ver pelo hype e não me arrependi, porém acho que tem muitas coisas que poderiam ser melhores. lee dohyun continua pra mim com um histórico ótimo de doramas, porém esse não entra na lista dos melhores.

Dohyun e seu dedo de ouro para roteiros
Vou ser sincera, tudo bem? A primeira vez que vi a sinopse desse drama não fiquei muito interessada, mas não sei dizer o porquê. Tem absolutamente tudo que eu mais gosto! Investigação, conspiração contra o protagonista…Acho que a melhor parte em assistir a essa história foi descobrir aos poucos quem realmente era o protagonista, uma vez que informações sobre o passado dele nos eram ditas ao longo dos episódios. Você pode facilmente odia-lo durante os primeiros episódios mas, no final é impossível fazer o mesmo.
Os gêmeos são outra pérola. Em momentos um pouco tristes ou frustrantes para quem está assistindo, as duas crianças servem como um perfeito alívio de peso, me arrancaram muitas risadas.
E talvez me julguem, mas eu gosto muito de ver alguns dramas dublados, e esse foi um deles. Simplesmente não me aguentei de tanto rir quando o “Adam Sandler” apareceu. (Não o verdadeiro, o dublador… vocês entenderam!)
The Good Bad Mother é uma preciosidade. Provavelmente vai te fazer passar raiva em alguns momentos, mas acreditem, pela história vale a pena continuar. O que no início parecia um simples drama de mãe e filho se torna uma busca por vingança, como em The Glory. Olha aí o Dohyun sendo o “carrasco” mais uma vez!
