Educational to a degree

Before you begin watching this series, you must know that it is rated 18+ for a reason. The first episode bares all quite literally. However, the rest of the episodes are somewhat milder with some explicit scenes in between.

The two main female leads host a podcast that deals with talking about sex from the female perspective. It also includes discussion on periods and premenstrual syndrome. Some of the information discussed in the show is good but I didn't find it exceptionally new. There was potential but it missed covering aspects like those who have never had sex to begin with. Most of it is related to those who have been having sex for a long time and issues they have faced. The series also tries to deal with healthy attitudes towards the discussion of sex with partners. Again it seemed to miss the opportunity to teach men explicitly to listen to their female partners which a lot of men don't seem to grasp very well or don't think they need to. They do cover healthy partnerships but they could have driven the point across further.

It's a good show to watch for conservative audiences that don't have much access to information related to sex. But it cannot be considered an all inclusive show about sex education. It's better to pick sex ed websites/videos and not entirely depend on such a show. It just discusses a range of topics that one can then further research into.

Although the plot is good, the characters are good, there were at least two scenarios presented without any real advice given. A lot of the advice seekers were left on read. I'm not sure why. In any case, it's not a boring show. Pacing is good. Good for a one time watch. I watched it hoping to learn some new information and have rated it accordingly.

A show we needed

This show was a pleasant surprise to find — beneath a raunchy premise, is a drama that 100% empowers women. It's about affirming women and validating their desires, their choices, and their refusals.

The friendship between Mina and Heejae is so sweet, and they went just fleshed out enough in this drama's short runtime, which I can appreciate. I think Woohee and Hani were incredibly charming picks for our leads, as they both just give great energy on screen.

Overall, this show was surprisingly progressive, advocating for safety, for pride over guilt, and for really having a good relationship with one's own body. We live in a world ruled by male gaze that prioritizes male desire, and watching this show is such a healthy step for women to let go of the shame and guilt that's forced upon us. A great watch!

Oh for a Mr.Kang in my life…..

This short and snappy little series was perfection.all the leads were brilliant actors (definitely shouldn’t be saying this but the ML bodies………oof!). So refreshing to have such open and frank discussions on sex, especially from S.Korea -not their regular take at all, but it was so well done, never sleazy in any way and i learned a few things I didn’t know. The sex scenes -and there were plenty - were all in relation to the storyline and never came across as being there just for the sake of it. As i said in the headline special mention must be given to Mr.Kang , Park Sun Ho played his role sublimely, dont think i’ll ever forget the car lovemaking scene, it bordered on art.All in all this series brought a beaming smile with every episode , not a thing that i experience often.everyone over 18 should watch this, its entertaining, its informative, its beautiful sex scenes are thrilling .hoping there will be a second season, will definitely be re watching the first season, no prizes for guessing why!enjoy!

Raunchy romance sex comedy drama

Now that's the real shocker. A kdrama that's not afraid to go down the R-rated road!

It's somehow softcore porn and yet very romantic at the same time, which I guess only a kdrama could pull off, as it has all the usual tropes you'd expect and is one through and through... except a lot more sexually explicit. Is it the beginning of a new subgenre?

It's pretty good, and educational too. I liked how frank the characters were, both to themselves and to others in their lives. All the leads were great, but the audio editing was rough. Script had some issues too.

It moves at a brisk pace and has no real downtime typical of the genre. Very much enjoyable.

For those annoyed that most kdrama characters seem to be wearing chastity belts, then this is the one for you I guess? A welcome variation, if not a bit too basic overall.

Real! Raw! Raunchy!

If you're tired of slow burn romances and super corny comedies, look no further than here!

This show has plenty of romance and drama mixed in with a lot of laughter and lots of sexual scenes to keep you on your toes (so be careful where and who you watch this around)! It focuses on unlocking women's pleasure and embracing their sexuality in the most realistic, encouraging, and supportive way. There were all sorts of different scenarios and circumstances and I'm sure you could find at least one to relate to which I appreciated. As much as this show might be educating and fun for a more feminine crowd, it's eye-opening and enjoyable for all [mature] audiences!

I loved:
~ the soundtrack - I Shazamed every song I heard and played the opening and ending on repeat
~ the characters - the female leads friendship was super cute and reminded me of my own friends & the male leads were both really considerate and kind, the sides characters were great additions as well
~ the story - I felt like I was a listener of the podcast who got a behind the scenes look into the hosts' lives which was really enjoyable and well done

I would totally rewatch this with my friends someday!

For mature audience only

I love the sex scenes done so naturally by all the actors in this short drama. It's so refreshing to see how the female lead wants, to find her true self after the break-up from her past relationship/// sex toys, dildos etc... I laugh a lot on these scenes esp. when they were shopping for them in the store. Thankful for her beastie introducing them to her. I enjoyed watching all 8 episodes - the plot story about two couples with their views on love and relationship. The person I admire most is In Chan, an ideal boyfriend wanting to fall in love with HeeJae and not just have sex with her. I love the fact that he was willing to wait for her. I think he understood that she did not just want him to be used (on a rebound relationship) by her. She needed time to find herself, love herself and be loved in return. I was happy that they get to meet again. Same with Mi Na, she found her second chance on falling in love after all the casual sex with sex partners and Woo Jae was perfect for her. They were destined to be together. Definitely a 10 for rewatch.

Hit The Spot (2022) – I was not prepared that it was on the mature audiences drama, and I think there are parts that are way too much for me, I think those scenes are unnecessary for the drama to unfold. What I like about the drama are the female leads. Their friendship and their conversations. On the other hand, I dislike the male leads. Their characters don’t sit well with me, maybe that is why I am not a fan of the ending, though it’s openly ended. It’s a fine drama, I was just not prepared that it was an 18+ drama, though I am adult I'm still shocked.

Sex is the only content here

Many of the reviews claimed it as mature content, well if you ask for my opinion I will say it depends. Depends on how you define that maturity. If sex is the only parameter then yes it's a mature one. But if you level up maturity as a mental one then it is actually not really mature content. Anyone who just passed their teenage, having a sexual relationship is good enough to understand the content of this show. As the name said, the drama starts with some explicit sexual content, which was sure to shock the viewers I believe. But the rest of the drama is not the same. To be honest I did not really like the first 2 episodes that much but I kept watching on a fast-forward mode also the runtime to not long so it was bearable. After 3rd episode, I found things quite interesting.

Reading previous reviews and comments I became curious as though the rating is pretty good still some of the reviews suggested it might be a waste of time. Well after completing the show I can’t say so actually. It was good for time to pass. There was a story, won’t say a strong one but yes, the story does exist. But for such mature content, character development is very important I believe. But this drama has little to no character development for any of the leads except Mi Na. In her case at least they tried.

The story revolves around two girls, Hee Jae and Mi Na. One is dating another does not want to have a relationship. And both ended up in a reverse scenario. Both their stories are a classic friends-with-benefits relationship that ends up with being an actual couple. While the character development of Mi Na was good enough considering the short runtime, it was trash in the case of Hee Jae.

Let’s start with her breakup. At first, they portrayed Hee Jae as a conservative one, who can not even discuss with her BF her dissatisfaction in sex, faking it for 5 long years! But still holding it because she had strong feelings for her BF. But now she was determined to break up and the reason and the backstory between them were ambiguous. They portrayed Hyeon Woo as a male chauvinist but they put little to no effort to show how slowly the feeling of Hee Jae for Hyeon Woo faded away due to his negligence and carelessness. Even some small flashbacks would be enough but no. Rather, to get along with the Title they emphasize sexual dissatisfaction which seemed very out of logic and confusing at the same time. How the character of Hee Jae started and then how overnight she became someone who is begging to have sex with Chan made things seriously ridiculous and made the character Hee Jae a very very sallow one.

The story between Chan and Hee Jae is basically a story of two people who are out of love, one (FL) wanted to have sex without love and another (ML) wanted to fall in love again. I understand the theme of the show is Female sexual satisfaction but that doesn’t necessarily need to make the FL an easy one, she was portrayed like she will have sex with anyone, by anyone I meant anyone! She was ready to have sex with the guy from a blind date who in the end refused her due to his mother. What the F**K. then she literally stalked Chan everywhere to have sex! This was annoying to me. I understand she never ever had the feeling to have orgasm so desperately seeking for it. So maybe it was me only, but I didn’t like this concept at all. Even when Chan wanted to get close to her, and get to know each other all she was thinking about was Sex, all the time they spent together reading books, campfire, and drinking she just kept asking when they were gonna have sex. It looked like a maniac to me. If I were Chan, I would feel disgusted for sure. Though at the end of episode 6, she did admit it was the mood that aroused her but I didn’t like the sequences before that.

On the other hand, the story of Mi Na was good and enjoyable compared to the other one. Even though it was short, they showed why she is like this, only considers a good sex partner and fears falling. Though a part of hers desperately seeks someone's care. The story between Mi Na and Woo Jae was also good to watch, though a cliche one, you know what is going to happen still you will find it interesting. Even their kissing scenes were enjoyable. The first one is full of lust and 2nd one is full-on emotion. Liked it actually.

The show conveys that satisfactory sex involves more than just physicality. Touch, communication, and emotional connection are highlighted as crucial elements. While the delivery of this message falls short, it remains an enjoyable aspect of the show. The show offers a nuanced perspective on sexual satisfaction. Despite flaws, it provides an engaging viewing experience.

contrary to theme

In the beginning, it was understood that it is based on physical desires. It is instructive and an attempt has been made to explain things from a woman's point of view. So far everything is correct, but in the end, the whole issue ended by adding a touch of love in it.

This shows that she was not dying for a physical relationship, rather she was looking for her perfect soul mate.

which is contrary to the theme of "physical desire/satisfaction "

Just skip this drama

I tried to ignore the nudity and all and watch it because I thought it's healthy drama about adult topics but no!! This drama is absolute BS, the worst female characters written to be victims by force. Too much nudity that could be skipped and not filmed, some scenes seemed useless to the plot and what's supposed to be educational turned pornographic and over the top, FL fakes everything, a total hypocrite, and she refuses to communicate, only cries and victimize herself it was AWFUL to watch, as usual the ahole male ex only this time he's not the ahole much (he's not the good guy either).
Plus is 5 years and 0 org even realistic or just exaggerated??
This drama could be great and educational but writing absolutely ruined it with awful execution and horrible characters
I could write essays about how 3 episodes managed to make my blood boil
If only MDL allowed 0/10 rewatch value!!
