WOW I don't even know where to start with this. Their acting was just superb. I would say this is probably Vanness's best work yet. Everything was done right for this drama: the production crew, the screenwriters, the actors... everyone was chosen perfectly! Seriously, props to the director and screenwriters because if anyone has read the novel this drama is based off of, you'll know what I mean!! It was a great story but it seriously lacked all the details needed and you kind of just had to imagine them yourself and fill in the blanks. If I could, I would rate over 10 stars for the story only because I've read the original work.

Their chemistry was very apparent and it just makes you want to keep watching them. Another big plus is that the second leads were not annoying jerks at all. They're nice and understanding and are not the clingy type who want revenge after they've been let go. While the plot does have the typical cliches with one of the leads getting cancer AND losing his memory, it wasn't bad at all. Be mindful that this drama was from 2009 and there weren't as many dramas with amnesia in it, so it was very interesting at the time. Maybe if you were to watch it now (after seeing so many dramas with amnesia in it) you'll be like "ugh another one of those" but just throw that thought away and give this drama a try!

Anyhow, It gets a little draggy when they meet again before he regains his memory, but it wasn't to the point where you'd want to drop this drama. Other than that, the pace was fast! The ending could have been better but it wasn't like a super rushed ending that makes you feel like it was a pointless episode.

Autumn's Concerto was probably one of the few that I seriously could not wait for the next episode and each day went by so slowly! I'm still rewatching it a million times in 2016 as this is one of my go-to's when I have absolutely nothing to watch/do. Honestly, I do agree that most TW dramas are slow, draggy, and don't have much of a plot. However, II'd say it's one of the best Taiwanese dramas that have been produced and released so far. This is a must watch TW drama!

I love this drama, I really do. It's by far I think the best Taiwanese drama that I've watched! It has romance, family, comedy and some suspense as well. I was not part of the group that was crazy about F4, so I didn't recognize Vaness Wu at first and his character, Ren Guang Xi is really annoying in the beginning, but I grow to like him as the story progresses. This is one drama that kept me thinking and want to watch over and over again. I cried watching some of the episodes, it's just filled with emotional rollercoasters sometimes. I would definitely recommend this drama.

Not very lovable but oh so enjoyable watch

This was not very good, had a whole bunch of annoying elements and sounds... The male lead has more flags than there are umbrella scenes in dramaland... And the female lead has such a low self esteem a toddler could walk right over it. But still I found myself hooked and just had to binge it...

There are a bunch of evil men in this, scum of the earth people... some with power some without much power but enough to push others down. We also get to see a bunch of perverts and a mother who would rather have a puppet then a child...

The drama is flooded with good intentions gone bad, lies. lies, and more lies... hiding truths for so called "own good" Self sacrificing gone waaaay to far and a bunch of twists and turns, bad boy gone good, bad, good again, bad, amnesia, bad, good, bad... and so on... There are also a whole lot of my beloved cliches and inconsistent pacing making this both a fast paced and a slow paced romance all at once!

I love the kids in this drama... as well as the show of scars and abs... lovely dimples there are some good smiles and lovely umbrella scenes too. But that is a bout it the rest of the characters are not very lovable at all.

So what can I say it got me hooked, and while there was actually not much I truly liked in it I enjoyed watching most of it a lot...

The story is about the usual rich boy who fell in love with a poor girl only their love story got more complicated with the male lead's brain surgery that led him to forget his past including his real love. I love the idea of the lovechild which solidify more their love story.

I must say I'm impressed with Vaness' acting here I thought he was just a pretty face gracing dramas for teens. The main female lead is also very good. She doesnt need to act cutey here. The main actors' acting as parents were natural. I love their ideas on parenting and disciplining their child. They were sensible like on being not a picky-eater, helping others, making others happy. Over-all their acting were very good.

One can gain parenting wisdom from watching this drama, from choices in life to being a happy parent to a happy child.

However, their lines..aww. Gave me goosebumps for being too mushy! so corny. The lines were like being read straight from a novel. For this I must say 'unnatural'.

And can someone please tell Vaness not to make that hideous smile of his, he kinda look like Jafar from Aladdin or the cat from PUss in a Boots. I doesn't look manly in an arched eyebrows and wide grin :D peace. But I started to believe he is a good actor though.

So many tears cried over this drama. I felt like it dragged just a tiny bit at the end like they were trying to make up excuses to be mad at each other and then all of a sudden it was resolved, but that was really the ONLY problem I had with this drama and for 21 episodes that's a hard feat. The story line, pacing, and the way twists played out was better than I could have ever imagined. I mean do you ever just wish sometimes that you could have your memory wiped so that you could watch it again "for the first time"? That's how amazing this drama was to me. SO GOOD! Re-WATCHING!

Material Queen leads me here. I will say, it has been 4th times of repeat watching Autumn's Concerto. I just loved Vaness Wu acting, his mischief look brings out the bad boy character so well, yet a kind and romantic person. Haha... how come I never notice you on Meteor Garden, could it be your mature that make the perfect you. Ally Chang is great too. Both chemistry are nonetheless like a real couple not to leave out Small Small Ping. The three character brings out the whole drama perfectly. Vaness Wu, please make more dramas..... will be great to watch you in action and romance drama this time ya....

This one is my upmost favorite drama, and to top it off it was my actual first drama that wasn't a Live Action (A drama made from an anime and/or a manga). I have rewatched this one so many times, I can probably recite what happens throughout the whole series. Believe me if you are a person who enjoys watching a good romance that has a bumpy road, but at the ending it turns out happy this is the drama for you. Though from my heart the last episode is the best, this couple fits so well together, hopeful you will get as much enjoyment out of this drama as I had. Also be sure to enjoy the beautiful music, that I swear matches so well with this story. Enjoy!!

I love this drama because of the cuteness of some of the scences. The story line has you hooked even without you realising. Xiao Xiao Bin is an adorable young actor. Such a sweety. Vanness Wu and Ady An play really good accross from each other.

There were parts of the drama that got a bit boring but it always drew me back in.

All in all its a really good drama to watch.

This was simply such a classic drama that I HIGHLY recommend.
The cast acted amazing; the plot was never dull; this drama has a great soundtrack; everything was well done.

The main protagonists, An Ady and Wu Vanness have such amazing chemistry when they're together on screen, and that's what is always vital for a drama; without the chemistry, even a great drama well be painful to watch.

The child actor that played their son, what an ADORABLE child. I loved all his scenes!
His "mishamisha" phrase is still stuck on my mind.

What I really want to elaborate, like others have wrote about, is the speed of the drama. Being 21 episodes, I felt not rushed nor felt that the series was being dragged.
This drama has a nice balance of drama, comedy, and romance.

This is a drama I've been putting aside for awhile, but I now am glad I finally watched it and it has become one of my favorites. Watching this has definitely made me both a Wu Vanness fan, I didn't know who he was prior and that he was a singer, and the gorgeous An Ady fan--her eyes are mesmerizing.

I really hope both them are in a drama again in the future.

Autumn Concerto appears to be a show with no flaws in the beginning, but they appear later on in the series due to poor writing. What could have been a ten show is ruined by poor script, dragged out plots and unnecessary scenes.
The Story: 8
The story had a strong lead in as we are thrust into the world of poor Mu Cheng and how she falls in love with the seemingly sweet Guang Xi. Alas their love is met with tragedy as Guang Xi goes through major brain surgery making him lose his memory. It pulls you in to this nice dilemma with of course love interest for the new Guang Xi and Tuo Ye whom has liked Mu Cheng since the beginning; then lets you fall into a messy script.
My first problem is with the six year gap. It just skips straight to six years. No story or even narration, just,"BAM!!! We know the characters changed and even Mu Cheng had a baby, but instead of showing you there lives let's just have the characters briefly explain it. Plus we will throw in flashbacks that have no relevance to what's going on!," the writers basically said. Seriously? Seriously?
Then some of the subplots also dragged out too long. They started out okay, but was stretched to make the show longer. With slow pacing and unnecessary moments this show's story suffered.
The Characters: 8
The main characters in this show are basically Mu Cheng, Guang Xi, Tuo Ye, and Xiao Le. Mu Cheng starts off as this innocent girl in love for the first time then transforms to this depressing chick that over analyzes the whole Xiao Le and Guang Xi situation. While I can understand where she is coming from with her fear, it hurts way too many people at times. PLus she cried too much. Then Guang Xi, well it was a love-hate situation. He was a jackass after the six episodes and quite frankly I was wishing she ended up with Tuo Ye because... he was in her life!!!!! That six year void Tuo Ye took care of Mu Cheng and Xiao Le and Guang Xi has the nerve to be angry at him. Xiao Le was my favorite character because he was adorable and to me was an amazing eccentric five year old. The minor characters did their support really well and saved the story in the end with their personalities.
The acting:9
To me all of the actors did a nice job considering this was a horrible script especially Liu Linda. She was the exceptional step mom from hell with a soft side.
The Music:7
The music wasn't bad in fact I liked some of the piano pieces and the main theme was a nice song too. Sometimes the music just wasn't played at the right moment, plus the main theme was overused. Other than that great job.
Overall I loved this show, but I just can't rewatch it. It's hard for me to rewatch shows like these because I am a comedy fan plus a big crybaby. Hope you guys who are thinking about checking this out will like it. Sorry for the long review, I'll try to shorten it next time.

Definitely not worth its hype

Immature is the word that comes to my mind when i watched this show.

Characters were not developed /established well. Not the ML/FL or her friend or anybody. Chemistry might be good but i would prefer that emotion development between them any day than any no.of steamy kisses. But here ML keeps disturbing FL and one act of his melts the FL. I guess the same scenes would still work but with better screenplay or something? It felt like there is no connection between scenees. I know its 2009 series but there are dramas around that era which had good flow.
But big disappointment is the character arc of both FL and ML. Fl started strong and no nonsense but just becomes a senti self sacrificing woman . Her goal of getting into civil service is forgotten. Same with ML. Them handling brain tumor is just so absurd. One day he is running around like mad and next day he sleeps with FL and he has accepted it!

Acting : FL was tolerable but MLs acting is just bad (sorry no offence if he is one of the famous actors) and his scenes were just too jerky running around till the last scene. His reaction when he comes to know his son is missing in the last epi is one such example.

I had expected even if there is misunderstanding till last epi there is that maturity in the story , the feelings etc but was disappointed.
PS : Music is horrible with no relation to whatsoever happening in the drama.
