This show is officially one of my favorite dramas. I watched this drama before i realized that it was based off a manga but after watching it, I loved it so much that i tried out the manga. The drama actually altered the characters and story order quite a bit from the manga, and I've come to love the drama even more because of it.

The drama changed the characters to be more lovable, relatable, and endearing and the plot was not slow or draggy at all to me. Yankee to Megane is one of those dramas that has a manga/anime-esque feel to it, and by that I mean that the whole story revolves around small events, like Hana Kimi. It's not going to be a

Story- The pace of the show is good. Although the first couple eps may seem a little too slow for some. I wish they would have built the relationship more of Ada & Daichii even if it was their friendship. There was room for improvement. The ending was cute but a little disappointing. There needs to be a special!

Acting/Cast- the acting was good not spectacular, enough to carry the show. The supporting cast was helpful.

Music- I'm not one to really notice the OST unless Im able to get it in my head therefore being memorable so Id say this was an average OST.

Rewatch- Fun & entertaining makes this one to watch again.

  • Both really funny dramas about delinquents in high school.

  • A lot of sensless fighting, the people who fight Adachi all want to folow her like Maeda. They both seem to be comedies to me but Majisuka Gakuen seems more like a parody, but the humor is more obvious in Yankee-Kun.

Any idea what word Shinagawa uses that is usually translated to "irritating"? I can't quite pick it up.

I have to be honest I am only watching this for Hiroki. Is there any romance in this or is it mainly comedy?
  • Meli Dec 14, 2013

Not close to being awesome, but it's okay. A fun watch, but the story line isn't that great.

I wasn't actually expecting much from this drama, given its rank here, but after finishing the first episode, I must say the first episode is surprisingly REALLY good. Looking forward to the rest of its episodes!

Nice drama. Sometimes oversimplified but still nice to watch.

Shinagawa is obsessed with the idea of Adachi being in love with him hahha, when really you can tell he likes her.

I liked this drama a lot, I will have to read the manga now! :)

The reason I watched this was because I was very fond of the manga. I am actually surprised that this was a good adaptation. I loved the ending and if you had enjoyed this one, I suggest you read the manga. More extreme Adachi, more hilarious. I loved the two leads. hahaha.

So many positive comments. I am planning on watching this but may I ask where did the drama end? Or more like what was the ending/last arc? I have read the manga years ago so I just wanna know what parts were included here.
