The 44th NHK Taiga Drama is about the life of Minamoto no Yoshitsune (源義経) (1159 - May_17, 1189) was a late Heian and early Kamakura general of the Minamoto clan of Japan. Yoshitsune was the ninth son of Minamoto no Yoshitomo. His older brother Minamoto no Yoritomo founded the Kamakura shogunate.

DAMN IT!!~~ This is why I absolutely, love Japanese characters and ppl, but hate and detest Japanese history. It's shallow! It's dumb! It's the result of an island country = =.

Cried my full share if not more... damn was hard trying to hide tears when parents barge into your room. Watched it for Takki only, but as usual his acting makes me forget the actors along the way... YOSHITSUNE-SAMA~~~ TAT~

At least leave a child damn it!

  I have read about this history in my history class, and may I ask where you watched it? was it with english subtitles? I can't find it anywhere :( Onegai :)
