For as long as idols have existed, there have been movies made for them. "Star Vehicles," some might say (though the "star" is certainly up for debate). Goofy, over-the-top, avant garde—whatever the case, it's a peculiar corner of cinema that's rarely discussed or dissected. Though not entirely comprehensive, nonetheless, here is a list of movies with idols and for their fans.
