My priorities are Cdramas, Kdramas, BLs (mostly Thai and Japan), but I wanna watch at least 1 taiwanese drama, and a couple of HK dramas, this is why I rarely watch movies lol if I did I will die too many dramas

    1. The Red Sleeve

    Korean Drama - 2021, 17 episodes

    8.5

overall chemistry on point, great music and casting choice but it kind of bugged me with the dementia aspect which was a lot of times an easy out for the court problems, example, it was a bit too convenient for them to be like oh there was this hidden document or secret that the king knew years ago but forgot due to dementia so therefore the problem would be easily resolved, which was a bit of an easy mood and underwhelming to me

congrats to the cast cause they all snagged multiple awards at the end of the year 2021 mbc awards, I think they won best couple and drama of the year

Thank you fandom for making ep 17 extension happen w/ 1 hr 40 mins it was so heartbreaking and bittersweet, realistic and beautiful. Through life, death, pain and love, they both struggled in their own ways but both loved each other so much. FOR ME THAT LAST EP IS PERFECTION. Strong performances, got me emotional so many times. The way it's not overly happy, but shows endurance, strength and the sad reality of royalty especially kings their loneliness, the hard decisions and burden they have and how cruel it is for them to be forced to carry on even when they lose ppl they love one by one bc it's their duty

Deok Im is the best wife, and I love how consistent her character is from the start, stubborn as hell w/o saying I love you to the end but her actions shows it all I like that she sticks to her morals, but once she married him like how she knew he would not make an exception to the law for her best friend, she didn't burden him or resent him but just accepted it. Heartbreaking & cruel w/ Deok Im's death, but it was so well written and acted no complaints, a typical happy ending wouldn't fit the story. I'm glad they stuck w/ the realistic/ open ending

  • Bad Buddy

    2. Bad Buddy

    Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

    8.5

hilarious and addictive, but putting my bls on hold cause I legit finish them in a day, gonna catch up with other airing dramas in the mean time

Update: Finally completed it, omg smiling from ear to ear I love how whipped they are and there's no real spicy scenes, but both the leads are believable and it does feel like they've loved each other forever despite being frenemies and their fam having bad blood all their lives. I like that everyone was ok with them coming out minus Wai but he grows on you in the end with the bromance with Korn, happy they didn't make him gay for the sake of it like in most other BLs. Literally no uncomfortable cringe scenes here, Ohm is so smooth the competition to fall in love was hilarious. I also teared up during the finale was shook that years went by etc. I thought this was realistic and beautifully done, amazing acting from Nanon who literally just debut and it was great, loads of scenes that were improvised too, they have such great natural chemistry! These two are going places! I can hear the little intro in my head too perfect music score!

The couple with Ink and the sis was cute af too

  • Our Beloved Summer

    3. Our Beloved Summer

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    7.5

stunning cinematography, a bit slower than what I would like but I don't mind, this one is binge-worthy will catch up soon, final thoughts: Top tier actors, but a more natural slow-burn drama. I didn't enjoy it as much as othe people but still worthy of praise.

  • Sword Snow Stride

    4. Sword Snow Stride

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 38 episodes

    8.5

very enjoyable, good performances, slowish pacing but not boring, filled with mind games and calculative psychological war fare, every move and sentence or action fengnian takes while in front of his enemies is so interesting since it's contrasted with his super chill and carefree demeanor, he's only childish and playful with the ppl he truly trusts. Filled / great actors and good looking too like the general and his pretty female companions? servants? Jiang Ni is the best though it's so funny and sad that he pays her to read a penny a word and she saves it for her own funeral

MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS HOW INCONSISTENT AND RASH the ML can be like in ep 20-21 he goes off unprotected looking for a fight when he can't handle it, another complaint is despite all his luck and all these masters of swords and marital arts surrounding him and giving him power, he never really fights his battles himself nor do we actually see him train that much instead of relying on his own team. For a drama supposedly about his journey to level up and become the best 70% of the drama was other cool characters fighting instead of him. I love how smart his dad is and he's actually my fav of the show. Always 5 steps ahead predicting every more and turn of events. I kept on waiting for the white grey haired slipper master to teach the leads something and he does but they kind of skim over it with a few montages and short scenes a bit unsatisfying

  • Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities

    5. Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 43 episodes

    6.0

Honestly slow start gonna be keeping up to the viet dubs for now until it gets more interesting lol, doing the same for Fall in Love since I still wanna watch but not the subbed ver for now, not mad though rather it be slow and pick up than too fast and disappointing and draggy later

    - Is it bad that Zheng Ye Cheng is more interesting than ML now? I find Na Sheng such  fun character between all this drama, she's naive and sweet and I like following her perspective new to all this supernatural powers and immortals stuff. It's getting addictive but nothing wow I will die without watching another ep type of feeling

  • Snowdrop

    6. Snowdrop

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    6.5

Lots of scandals regarding this and it's distortion of Korean history and even a huge petition to take it down but they can't since it's based on fictional characters, but Korean citizens are mad that it may sway younger generations into believing false narrative of Korean history. I feel bad for the actors, and all that aside Jung Hae in is one of my all time fave actors so much chemistry with all his actresses and he does the cold/bad guy thing well too but when he smiles? you melt. The way they look at each other I love it.

Yeong Ro aka Jisoo is okay, pretty fine during the first 2 eps, maybe a bit awks but her acting improves so much in the emotional scenes there's moments where she's crying and she has this hollowed out look that's very realistic and impressive, similar to the feeling when you cried your heart out and just feel drained and tired/ blank. I really hope despite the critiques she will continue acting bc she has really good potential and better than a lot of rookie idol actors

  • The One and Only

    7. The One and Only

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    8.0

LITERALLY PERFECTION SO FAR, it's so damn good help (first 3 eps) it does get a bit slower but picks up, more character driven than plot but I love it EP 7- HEARTBREAKING MASTERPIECEJoy as Mi Do is so damn pretty her man is sus af tho, using her for some reason he keeps mentioning the terminally ill and may be working for the cop guy? theory Update: at the end of ep 8 he's the mastermind poor mi do, she's kinda getting on my nerves turning a blind eye cause she doesn't want to abandon his fake love

THE LEAD'S CHEMISTRY IS UNBEATABLE, so much is portrayed in a single look or how they are just near each other. there's a calm understanding and unconditional love they share DAMN. It is a bit slow but so damn good and addictive

best to live every day to the fullest enjoying the simple pleasures in life. In the end nothing matters more than bonds of love and friendship. Kang Se Yeon had the least scenes but made me care for her the most in the end, ep 15 with the beach moment, just learning to be yourself and enjoying good company T_T

one thing that sucks about this drama is that they underutilized Bora she doesn't even have any impactful scenes what a shame

this was flawed especially the dragged out mystery plot and the round and round chase with the police but it was heartbreakingly beautiful, Not a lot of people want to watch these dramas but as depressing as the painful journey you see characters still trying to live and find moments of peace before they go, Woo Cheon was the saddest character for me, him and the granny, seeing them break down and cry with their hope destroyed and feeling up and down but the patience and unconditional love really got me emotional. It's a real depiction, the 3 female leads were also complex characters with their own issues, vulnerability but I loved them all even when Mi Do annoyed me sometimes.  These types of dramas are definitely a one of a kind treat, it's bittersweet but I loved it til the end

  • Yumi's Cells

    8. Yumi's Cells

    Korean Drama - 2021, 14 episodes

    8.5

my addiction, so funny and relatable, the funniest moments are the undercover love cells creeping into the other character's cell village? haha xD I also can't help but laugh at how relatable some moments are, second hand embarrassment with Woong's poop clogging Yumi's washroom the first time he stayed over xD THE WRITERS WENT THERE, there was even an intestine cell

I like how Woong's character never doubts Yumi despite Sae Yi's backhand comments or shady moments, he stuck to his girl, and when they showed the ranking of importance, I like that he put himself first, he chose himself over others, meanwhile Yumi was too caught up in love and appearances she forgot about herself, her needs and hobbies. It's a good slice of life rom-com and discovering yourself type of story. ALSO CHOI MINHO IS SO DAMN FINE

I'm happy with where it ended up going with Yu Mi focusing on herself and not men or others in her life, she always says what's right and bugging her which I love. It's very realistic showing the ups and downs and little human behave. w/ the male lead not being perfect.

  • Game of Outlaws

    9. Game of Outlaws

    Thai Drama - 2021, 19 episodes

    9.0

Goodness the neg reviews are flooding in after the final ep making me nervous but this is my fav currently watching right now, I love Mark and Taew's deep devoted love filled with wild action

  • Bulgasal: Immortal Souls

    10. Bulgasal: Immortal Souls

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    7.0

WHERE TO START? Well first 3 eps might been a bit slow but stick to it cause the pay off is so high, the damn tension between the leads u can cut it w/ a knife. The charisma oozing out of Lee Joon and Lee Jin Wook, both very hot as well. the 2 female leads are BEAUTIFUL. Nara and Gong Seung Yoon's eyes are mesmerizing. t gets intense, and it's darker than what I expected with so much blood and borderline horror some scenes but so damn good after ep 4.

I love a true hate to love romance and it's so intense love the leads together

Final Thoughts: Lee Joon was the most interesting character, The 2 FLs are beautiful, the progress of each ep after ep 8 was so slow, so first half was great, super intense and unpredictable and slowly while I was watching it, some eps felt pointless and there was only 3-5 mins of actual progress or revelations, but it's one of the most cinematic and beautiful dramas visually,

  • Show Window: The Queen's House

    11. Show Window: The Queen's House

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    6.0

my obsession, can't wait to binge the last 6 eps, but needs complete other currently airings before. Was it addictive? YES. Was the last 3 weps stupid? Yes. Was Chansung WAY UNDERUSED? Yes. Do I hate redemption arcs ? NO but when we saw how much the FL suffered bc of Mi Ra and the stupid husband 99% of viewers HATED the abrupt change of heart at the end where we were forced to forgive her. Did she go to jail yes, but I wanted a bloodier ending for the both of them, they should have honestly stopped at the part where Mi Ra was gonna light up the apartment. It was so dumb. WRITERS WENT FROM An easily 8.5-9/10 drama to a 5, as frustrated as I was I was all in for the first 12 eps, so I'll give it a 6.5-7?

BUT DAMN THAT OST IS SO GOOD

#THEPOORKIDS were traumatized and the mom went prancing around back and forth like she could have divorced him and call an end to everything way before when she first found out but I guess we wouldn't have this drama would we? Should have been 12-13 eps max

  • The Lion's Secret

    12. The Lion's Secret

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 33 episodes

    6.0

A fun light action romance to mix things up between Sword Snow Stride ending and ace troops which became depressing as hell but its a war drama so what did I expect

Lion's secret's male lead is so charming and funny, the secret military squad is interesting as well since if it was only business romance, hard pass for me. The 2 FLs are so bitchy at times it's too much, I hate the 2nd couple, the 2nd FL can't act she's so stiff and also rude hard to watch, skip for me.I like the bromance scenes, FL is finally warming up to ML and it's cute af

Final thoughts the Lin Mo plot at the end was so predictable I understand that they set it up for a long time but felt like the last big battle should have had higher stakes, all the white ppl and english dubbing brought me out of the story too, it was lowkey funny. The ending was unsatisfying even if it was a happy one, after 33 eps and 20 of them to make the leads get together I wanted to see a wedding, since they hinted it, I would have been fine with Jundie double wedding for both couples. BUT NOPE. It went downhill after ep 22 should have been 15 eps max could have done without the last arc

  • Ace Troops

    13. Ace Troops

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes

    8.0

actually quite addictive, something about that team building trope and opposites attracts personalities between the 2 leads are so appealing to me. The training is RIGOROUS so much that I was shook in some drawn out scenes. Great acting

Kind of exhausting to catch up cause it's kind of slow and the same old in and outs practicing each time but still enjoy it 40 eps is a bit much I feel like 24 would have been fine

  • Bad and Crazy

    14. Bad and Crazy

    Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

    6.5

not the worst but kinda over the top, mixed feelings on this one hoping it grows on me the visuals are too good to miss lol

ep 5 and still idk how I feel about it, might five it another 2 eps , dropped it, not bad but not for me

  • Tinted With You

    15. Tinted With You

    Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes

    5.0

started randomly, only 10 mins an ep deserves longer cause i love the time travel/ stuck in an joseon painting trope, around ep 3 I'm like meh, I know the budget is low and they are mainly rookie actors but sometimes it feels too forced and stiff. good concept, needs to be better executed in my opinion.

  • Not Me

    16. Not Me

    Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes

    10

e twin thing is over done but barely rarely done right, from ep 1 it's an exciting switch but the names white and black lol I guess it's to show their personalities but still it's kinda funny to me
I love how Black's involved w/ a secret vigilante gang, but I wouldn't dismiss them as your typical low life thugs or deliquients, it's more about activism and fighting for your rights rather than beating ppl up and dabbling in crime, though they do cross the line sometimes, they have their own rules and aren't the stereotypical thug crew
love the script so far, fast paced, no time wasted, and every part has me hooked, the white as a law student, to the dark and dangerous side at nighFrom tackling social class issues, to White being exposed for the first time about his privilege, now seeing how Black has lived with his underground gang, he's getting the full perspective of there's not just white and black, but a grey area where he can start to empathize with some of his brother's actions. Surprised by the morality, philosophy and social commentary here. Even the mysterious artist aka the 2nd couple's love interest is someone like banksy pseudo anonymous artist that focuses on bringing social issues to the light. Sucha juicy set up filled with meaningful moments and topics too

-minor complaint: GRAM's story needed more time

THE ACTING IS SO GOOD that when Black and White are in the same clothing you can still tell them apart by micro eye expressions. I am so in love with this one. Every single character is believable the good or bad ones are all portrayed in a humanizing way not like those dramas where the evil mom or overbearing parent just is, you really do feel for everyone's perspective here and with a gang, a cast of complex characters mixed with social issues, poverty, corruption, romance, friendship, trauma and healing this drama is absolutely crazy for being able to balance all these feelings and exceeds expectations

  • The Revenge

    17. The Revenge

    Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

    7.0

Omg Mook's outfit are to die for, thai stylist really knows how to make the rich ppl look expensive, the dresses are so bold and beautiful. Thai ppl aren't afraid to show some skin and wear basically luxury dresses every single ep, I love that

I like the tough charismatic vengeful vibe for Mook's character as Kate seeking for the true killer of her twin Prae. Wee is kinda lack luster as the male lead but hopefully he grows on me (on ep 5)

  • City of Streamer

    18. City of Streamer

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

    7.0

Jing Tian is so elegant, she's mature here and smart too with a hidden agenda infiltrate the Rongs aka the ML's family. But the way they met? Kinda hilarious with the 2 minute tango ballroom dance scene it was unexpected and I thought belonged in a musical, kinda cringe but also entertaining especially the aftermath when they pretend not to know each other, Flirting 10/10 it's like their little inside joke/secret now. Timmy Xu happy to finally watch a drama w/ him that I like. Some of my favorite romance tropes is cold mysterious guy who doesn't care about anyone but finds the FL interesting. Costumes are so stunning and fitted well. Timmy looks so fine, I am loving the aesthetics, beautiful.

I think it's definitely more believable than Fall In Love which its being compared to bc the fl is actually smart and mature in a believable way  always calm rather than being over the top and childish. The carvings on the buildings and homes are to DIE FOR SO DAMN beautiful, to look at. It looks like they spent a bit more money on this production renting out large buildings and furnishing it to fit the fancy but classy theme

i was kinda losing my interest at ep 20 but gave it another shot glad i did cause damn this ep intense say what you want about mr. meng but his acting is so on point the rage in his eyes and he's a scene stealer for sure, his convos with shi zheng is so on point and intense one of the best characters with so many layers more interesting than rong dian kun?

Final last 10 eps, a bit underwhelming with the dad going crazy over guilt, didn't like the push pull relationship of the leads, I love the brother and FL's family so sweet.  The way the main villain died was unsatisfying I prefer it to be by the FL's family,  ending suffered the you could have gave us an extra 10 mins of their moments together syndrome, so left a bit unsatisfied also  it should have been reduced to 30 eps instead of 40 but love the OST

  • Jirisan

    19. Jirisan

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    7.0

kinda slow this one could have been 12 eps
THE SUNRISE ENDING IS BEAUTIFUL I GOT CHILLS but i needed a hug  or something
amn writers really said CHEMISTRY YES ROMANCE NOPE

Oh Jung Se and Ju Ji Hoon really shined in this drama. Yi Gang aka JunJi Hyun was great but she was the more calm fierce ranger, I had mixed feelings on the ghost/supernatural element but didn't mind it

This was so mysterious, heartbreaking and eye opening, Thank you writers for bringing such a beautiful cast together for a drama that gives awareness and respect to mountain rangers, So many incredible stories and dangerous missions, rangers passing away to save others but doing it anyway, the passion of the team was incredible.

  • Fall in Love

    20. Fall in Love

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    7.5

this was on hold forever but now with city of streamer it's the perfect time to pick it up again, and enjoying it more. It was a bit cheesy and had loads of plot holes and things like editing issues that I caught but now lowering my expectations and throwing history out the window I'm taking this try going in with expectations like it's a cheesy wattpad story about a flirty commander and a rich girl instead. and enjoying it more. The banter of the 4 marshalls bothered me before since in reality all these military ranking roles are old men with loads of experiences and merits and filled with strategy hence the political and military stuff is totally b.s I don't buy into it at all and only skip to the romance

That theme song is still great tho

  • The Glory of Tang Dynasty

    21. The Glory of Tang Dynasty

    Chinese Drama - 2017, 60 episodes

    8.5

Didn't know this existed the PERFECT drama for me to watch right now craving a deep palace romance and Jing Tian + Allen Ren? Yes Please. Found it long tieng (viet dubbed) it's glorious loving it

  • Reset

    22. Reset

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 15 episodes

    9.0

First watch: Finished 8 eps in one sitting, ep 7 is my fav. The watermelon scene just wow,, the chills and beauty in being able to live in the moment and enjoy fruit together and laugh. Teared up. of course love Lu Di Won't go too hard into spoilers since it's first impressions but I will for the final review later in Feb.

I feel like my fav thing about this is THE SCRIPT quality, yes the acting is great but without a good script no matter how good the actors are it just won't cut it for me. I hope this proves to the drama industry you don't need to recycle tropes or have stupidly long dramas to get the views because if the story is good and has quality production, people will tune in.  girl who wakes up and realizes she's in a time loop with a bus accident, she then accidentally gets the ML involved and trapped in the loop with her, they have to figure out how to stop the loop and try to save the other passengers on the bus. One of my fav things is how Bai Jing Ting's character who may seem like the "bad guy" compared to the FL who is definitely the kind hearted brave hero of the story is so justifiable and realistic, don't even lie the FL is who you want to be but the ML is the reality. I love that he was scared and even argued w/ her telling her to stop wasting her effort, who cares about the passenger I just wanna live I feel bad but accidents happen all the time, so stop putting so much effort in when you don't even know if you can save everyone. This is very typical and normal reaction, he sees the danger, he feels crappy for it but wants to move on with his life.  I love that not everyone is just on board with it, but the FL's kindness does change him and its beautiful.

The last ep was perfect! Loved the cop guy, the psycho aunt was one of the best actresses I've ever seen

  • All of Us Are Dead

    23. All of Us Are Dead

    Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    8.5

EVERYONE is simpling of Su Hyeok but I'm here in love with the Dad for risking it all to save his daughter and also Ha Ri is so cool, archery club for the win. THE OPENING SONG IS TERRIFYING it gets me every time with the little opening scene u get hooked into the story and bam intense music and swarms of zombie hands looking like beetles ugh disgustingly skin crawling 10/10 for the makeup crew, sound effects, SO DAMN HORRIFYING with the blood gore and worst of all the contortionist and bodies doing shit its not meant to do his scary af

Also the villains/psychos all out here with the antibody immune to zombie bites while we losing the good guys one by one. Some things are idiotic af, and the only humor I think is the bits of bromance and the stupid vlogger guy with livestreaming and got stuck in the city

Hyosung High is so intense and the part with speakers, and the one zombie they were tryna quietly creep away from makes for some really interesting and intense moments.

My complaints: the lighting is so dim, I was out here cranking up brightness to the max and got shook every time I switched to a new tab lol, the characters are ok, teens yes rooting for them but overall the drama was kinda dumb and the convos about petty class rep, authority and romance was dumb . Like hello we are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. THE PETTY FIGHTS LIKE STFU. The library scene was dope. Cinematography 10/10, music score makes my skin crawl mainly that opening, I don't think it's that deep and I didn't feel that attached to the characters aside from the dad and maybe the cop team,

  • Rookie Cops

    24. Rookie Cops

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

    5.0

Wow do they really spank them with a baseball bat? Seems excessive. Don't like that aspect of the drama seems like there would be legal consequences in reality for that no? (ep 2)
Yes I get that it's intense and they yell at you, push you to your limit but never seen a drama where they beat u lol like are these seniors raised by the mafia? sheesh

I think training wise Police University did it better and the squad in Police U was more likeable for me. I like Police U better, I think the trainers here are so problematic, The head trainer literally is the most BIASED one. This isn't training anymore at this point just petty bullying . IDK how they will redeem him but he's literally abusing his authority has anger issues and maybe a superiority complex, "I do what I want" type of attitude instead of genuine training

Still the same thoughts might lower it to 6.5 not much happened, and I'm a bit bummed out by how the female squad and the male squad don't hang out and mingle as much they kind of show their separate scenes, romance is slow burn with ML falling first and focus on FL getting over her crush and finding purpose in life

Update: Dropped halfway at ep 9, it was ok, but too slow idc about it as much as other dramas so bye

  • Once Again

    25. Once Again

    Korean Drama - 2020, 100 episodes

    8.5

So good but long on hold for now since I have 2-3 filler dramas already watching (Cupid's Kitchen. Memory of Encaustic and Fall in Love). Min Jung's doctor couple is everything

  • Cupid's Kitchen

    26. Cupid's Kitchen

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

    6.0

I told myself this is gonna drag bc it has 40 eps but Ethan is so hot and Song Zuer is too cute so I had to, it's now my morning in bed skim drama since eps are online subbed, same with Memory of Encaustic Tile. This one I can skim a bit more cause idc about other characters, the evil cousin is annoying

Wow my tummy be growling though this makes me wanna go to china so badly and experience their street food. The food shots are so well done and I like seeing her train to be a chef the first task was to weigh salt a difficult task for sure and super impressive, I wonder if this is actually a real thing done in culinary school/chef training. I find it super interesting. Wang Zhuocheng is here too, so a few familiar faces. Not too much to say, 7.5/10 for now

  • Hello, the Sharpshooter

    27. Hello, the Sharpshooter

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

    4.5

First 4 eps was into it, by ep 5-6 it got super cliche so I decided to drop cause I don't think I can continue this type of trope-filled writing, and I like the actors but don't love them so no need for me to watch it all the way.

I do like the FL character though, a more mature character at least compared to other drama FL roles in a rom-com genre, she isn't naive and when she makes a mistake or accidentally causes trouble, she doesn't shy away and owns up to it apologizing and I like how she kind of gives the ML the cold shoulder for a bit bc he can't remember her and told her to stay away from him, so she does and predictably he starts getting jealous and keeps being hypocritical so I dropped it, loads of upcoming dramas so I doubt I'm missing anything but maybe once it's done airing and some other reviewers convince me I can go back and skim around.

  • Mystery to Iunakare

    28. Mystery to Iunakare

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    9.0

literally watched it for the cute suda masaki and his lil afro, and was SO SHOOK by how good this is. It kinda gives me Joy of Life vibes in terms of writing and line delivery, super random, and hilarious but genius. The ML is so blunt in a cute way instead of being a rude prick about it. The cases are so interesting and my eyes are glued to the screen the whole time

    Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes

Yes it does meet and smash expectations. I put this one off for a while saving it for a stressful time in my life which was this month, been feeling a bit down and so swamped with school assignments, midterms all damn month and papers so this was a fun binge

I love how wholesome and straightforward all the characters are. Literally zero problematic love triangle b.s in this, the friends are all so supportive of the ML even when he comes out, telling them he is in love with Ida. The scenes are too cute. I love it so much and can see myself re-watchign every now and then. The reason why it's not a 10/10 is bc compared to dramas like Cherry Magic with an added layer of deeper storyline, which I prefer this is still just a cute rom-com done right.

  • F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers

    30. F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers

    Thai Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    9.0

GORYA is so damn pretty and Thyme's mom is SO HOT she looks like a model god damn. The visuals are top tier, I love how dark and realistic this version is, everything makes sense, a I like that the FL's family is a huge part of this, they are so wholesome. Mira is so pretty, all the F4s have more lines and screen time too

It might be my fav remake of all just because it's so grounded, realistic, darker and all the characters are so fleshed out of course thanks to so many other adaptations this one can pick apart the best way of adapting but it really stands out from the rest and they do refer to the kdrama version love it when adaptations refer to each other all the dynamics and relationship feels mature here, it's addictive, intense and really makes you care for the main characters as opposed to just a sweet and cute love story. This brings something more to the table and I appreciate that, also no over the top acting. And all the couples feels like natural pacing not too rushed and you completely undertstand their inner turmoil which is hard to act out and portray well without just switching the male lead to be a jerk to a sweetheart, it's progressive and he does in and out of these rage and emotional scenes very well written. He may be unreasonable but he's loyal once he loves you and you see him do the most for gorya and even begging her to allow him to protect her, it's so cute and he's so honest with her without feeling tropy or overbearing ALSO LOVE how Gorya and Thyme aren't so stubborn or gets angry for no reason/childish after fighting and speaking their mind they apologize to each other like mature ppl, she compliments him when she realizes he tries his best for her such a lovely relationship, just the little things show how much they care for each other giving me all the feels more than your typical cute scenes

  • Why Women Love

    31. Why Women Love

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes

    7.0

Actually quite cute, sometimes the Ml is a bit stiff bc he's a rookie actor, but still good enough acting. I like how considerate and sweet he is not the asshole type most guys forced to work under a company for the sake of being free to pursue what they want later for him it's motorcycle racing. They make a deal where he helps her find out what love is since its ironic she's the top boss at the most popular dating app company yet never dated.

The script isn't as clishe as you would think, there's some good reasoning behind all the cliches at least that the FL is a successful businesswoman spending all her time and youth working so the dates are themed for eg. ep 4 they dress up in high school uniform and go around campus so she can relive her youth. I thought that was actually sweet and I would love a date like that. It's also not as cheesy as other dramas because the FL is reluctant and goes along with it to figure out herself, the 2nd FL story is more interesting too and is the most complex character with hints of a n eating disorder. Jing Jing 's character explore deeper issues  like faking her life on the internet being this happy rich perfect wife but in reality she's lonely and her man is always ignoring her for work  and being a jerk. They feel like a fake couple compared the the main couple .

  • Phleng Bin Bai Ngiu

    32. Phleng Bin Bai Ngiu

    Thai Drama - 2022, 24 episodes

    7.0

Omg Wawwa is so pretty, this is your typical raise your blood pressure cheating drama I mean it's called cheating spouse, it's a fun binge so happy it's not dragged out like CH3 long 1 hr 30 mins an ep drama, it's around 15-50 mins but I watch it on 2x speed. Love seeing familiar faces the 2 FLs, it's interesting. Wawwa's fiance in the show is cheating on her, meanwhile the other couple the FL is the cheater. Beautiful thai luxury fashion as usual.

I skimmed through ep 10 and it's dumb? nothing is resolved yet so hoping there will be more eps next week of this might become one of the worst thai dramas aired this year, so unsatisfying even with a s2, it feels like we will wait forever for everything to get resolved

  • Twenty-Five Twenty-One

    33. Twenty-Five Twenty-One

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

    9.0

ML the right amount of protectiveness and encouragement letting her do her own thing, rooting for her and supporting on the side lines but standing up for her when he knows she can't, I also love the 2nd couple so much Ko Yu Rim is wow brilliantly writen her not being able to express herself and with her family drama I really feel for her and like her. EP 4 sealed the deal with the ending "Why do you believe in me even when my mom doesn't? "Because you give me hope" I love the realistic heart to heart convos they have love them

THE ROMANCE? OMG LITERALLY BEST WRITTEN RELATIONSHIP so natural, so honest the lines? THE FACT THAT EVERY EPS KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER AND I SCREAM THIS IS THE BEST EP EVERY WEEK JUST SHOWS THIS IS A MASTERPIECE

EP 9 I WAS ROOTING for the Friendship and the way they handled Yu Rim and hee do's rivalry and complicated relationship was exceeded my expectations this is EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE in a drama . Love all the squad members and characters- EP 10 beach ep my fave  the sunset, carefree dialogue nostalgic looks and smiles omg perfection <3

I got spoiled for the ending but idc still such a beautiful journey

later eps as all dramas do get into the more realistic problems and unexpected circumstances, so many people are mad about certain reveals later on or how the writers wrote the final episode, but I had no issue with it since there were hints of it happening beforehand, of course I would have loved to see more, a couple more sweet moments but at the end of the day this is a fencing drama a coming of age story and never once do you believe Yi Jin is the main character everything is about Na Hee Do from the beginning

  • Come Home Love

    34. Come Home Love

    Hong Kong Drama - 2012, 804 episodes

    9.5

my morning drama <3 Hilarious my faves are everyone mostly the law crew shennanigans Sophia aka the crazy rich sister is starting to be likeable and funny.

EP 73 /74so damn funny, it goes from sitcom. to more serious dramatic topics but I like them all, the comedic ones with  John Ma and Short haired lawyer Alex  is the funniest the hotel scene had me dead

Ep 105-106 The aunt and the neighbour dude tryna confess his feeling through the Indonesia turtle trip lol it was kinda funny and cute? Hope we get more of them soon I ship it!( EP 130 the saga continues with the mom tryna move to hong kong permanently and John Ma is her "lucky person" based on the shaman's prediction lol

Ep 107-108 so nostaligic and beautiful the sunshine warrior eps with the grandpa and his police squad the flashback and happiness on their faces reliving the moments had me tearing up so hard

EP 131 what they aren't the actual kids to the parents? The siblings were adopted and they are related like nephew and aunt relationship instead, super touching ep

Ep 179-180 John Ma and Alex's fake dating trope, ep 185 was great Bich and Richard's scandal, ep 186 Tu nhan stylist dates a hot girl and the family disapproves thinking she's a sl*t but turns out she's the sweetest

  • First Love Again

    35. First Love Again

    Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes

    5.0

This is so good compared to many other BLs from Korea recently, I'm also a sucker for reincarnation love first ep was so good

    - Upon second watch I'm seeing it with new eyes after watching really good dramas since no longer really in a BL specific mood, I was eating this up but now? 5-6 cause production quality is kinda bad some moments be cringe af too

Ep 5 was dumb, this whole drama had a good reincarnation theme was felt dumb cause it's too rushed This drama has such a good concept and should at least be the typical bl drama length of 8 eps which most K-BLs always suffer from rushing anyways, I get that these are low budget dramas but if you're gonna do it, try to do it rightwaste of time for me. I feel like it's direspectful to fans of BL or good writing to bait us with the first few eps and then having the second half super rushed and unsatisfying. I guess newer BL fans will enjoy this but if you compare this to other recent good BLs Semantic Error found the magic in good pacing even with limited resources, but It's still the experimental stage i'm sure give it 1 or 2 years and we might get a situation like GMMTV BL dramas, longer eps, with interesting story and high quality writing.

  • Hare-kon

    36. Hare-kon

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 9 episodes

    5.0

SO FREAKING WEIRD, but addictive? kinda rushed, 1st ep was fine, but then I felt so UNCOMFORTABLE this was a poly but he kept pressuring her and making moves when she had no choice, but then she started falling for him. I am most interesting in the colder girl and her back story tho . I'm just sad out of all poly plot this is a stereotype with a super sexually active dude and 3 wives, wish we could throw another man in the mix to balance things out instead of the patriarchical b.s and also wished the FL resisted him a bit more at least til the half way point but I guess it's low budget so they gotta move things along with the limited 9 ep run time for only 20 mins

yeah kinda hate myself for wasting time on this dropped

  • Shining for One Thing

    37. Shining for One Thing

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes

    7.0

Finally started this and it was a bit underwhelming since I found the FL unlikeable during the first 4 eps, the pacing is moderately slower than expected as well, it's no epic reset type of story or someday or one day quality writing, but for a low budget drama rookie actors it is definitely some of the better ones out there. I hate Caesar Wu's narcissistic character here, idc about the best friend girl either the only characters I like is the Male lead and Gao Ge the cool girl

It starts off with the FL experimenting how to go back and forth changing her past after her 8 year ex and long time crush dumps her before they get married, and going back you can tell the signs were all there, I thought it was naive and the F;'s fault for not seeing the red flags the past 8 years of them together but I guess if he was a consistent jerk I might not be able to tell either lol, she's a bit selfish too and I don't buy the 30 year old self of her, the writers made her act like a child even when she was supposed to be this 30 year old woman,

FINALLY at ep 5 FL is starting to be likeable standing up for what's right not giving a shit about anything else she's pretty cool and her ex notices her change too  and crushes on her lol I ADORE the ML he's so cute introverted sweet and precious the little smiles he gets are adorable he's smitten and I love that we don't need a ML whose a macho jerk like the 2nd ML who is literally every ML in Asian Drama, the shy ML makes it even more cute and wholesome  he genuinely appreciates her just being there with him <3 LITERALLY ONE OF MY FAV ML CHARACTERS of ALL TIME

so wholesome just 1 ep and I was swooning and screaming I love a good bad boy sweet girl romance, the fact that she's blind and he does so much for her so adorable, the height diff too. Best Jdrama of the year? Possibly. ML is SO CUTE even with the right eye scar it enhances his appearance, subs are always slow with Thai and Jdramas so I will continue it after all 10 eps are subbed

Love that they added real life stories and comments by ppl with disabilities explaining to us their perspective truly well thought out, researched and educational drama

  • Shimobee

    39. Shimobee

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    7.5

THE PERFECT comedy romance with taachan, funny Mr, bean style, wholesome too. The facial expressions are perf, if he talked it would be not my style too over the top, but I love the idea. Tada kun 2nd couple still sucks though, he's such a creep and pathetic for tryna ruin the FL's life for rejecting him cause he couldn't take the heat, the bestie deserves better he's unredeemable in my eyes even when they made him a funny side character

The guy has issues quitting school and following SHimobee around idk if he truly changed or will stir up more trouble later. Taachan is so cute I love the childhood friends trope and tsundere vibes he's quite nice now tho

  • Thirty-Nine

    40. Thirty-Nine

    Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    7.0

39 is slow but great, I love SOn Ye Jin and without a doubt her character and story sells the show if it was another actress I might be tempted to drop tbh it's not bad, but definitely hints at some really sad and dark stuff later. I'm here for her relationship in the drama, the friendship is cute but not sold right off the bat yet. Gonna watch this weekly

Update: way more depressing than expected, will put it on hold at ep 8

  • Oh! Boarding House

    41. Oh! Boarding House

    Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    6.5

Similar to Our Days, super fun, but this might be even more impressive cause they managed to make me love it in 14 minutes at least the first 2 eps are strong  I love a good old comedy, and first ep with the burglar thing was the funniest and the one roommate that keeps telling everyone to hush be quiet

Ep 3-6 goes into a different direction less comedy more story but still undeveloped and then ep 7 a bit of drama, backstory and last ep they got together, they had a hard time mashing up the genres from ep 1-2 til the end

pacing could be better but with limited amount of money invested in BL projects it's still a passable drama, compared to semantic error without a doubt semantic error is leagues ahead of this one, this feels like a short movie instead of a drama probably bc they spent too much time on the other couple and in general felt a bit rushed at least they will get a movie so I guess it won't be too bad if you binge this and the movie together, but at the moment movie isn't out therefore it feels a bit unsatisfying since you don't get too much depth about the characters before they got together? idk a bit choppy but not the worst

  • Royal Feast

    42. Royal Feast

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

    6.0

I did enjoy the push pull mind games of the leads, it is an interesting dynamic that's more believable and likeable than him dropping everything ignoring the societal rules of her being a lowly cooking maid and him being a high rank prestigious prince/ prince's son to fall for her. I like that she's smart and witty and he enjoys it. The scene in ep 6 when he pretends to fall asleep to tease her was great. I love this dynasty's costumes cause of the pretty embroidery. Food is so good, as usual you got your politics and drama with side character which you either love or hate and with this type of drama if you're hanging on for the romance and don't care about the side characters you might have trouble finishing cause 80% of the plot the first quarter and likely til the 2nd act will be focused on the duties, schemes of the side characters. SO MUCH YANXI PALACE FEELS and references too though it's more subtle

    • Wang Yizhe’s character is interesting too and COncubine Sun isn’t exactly just the green tea aka two faced bitter jealous character, there’s moments where she feels guilt and genuinely wants to root and defend the FL which I appreciate

    • FINALLY getting good again around ep 27 when she gets selected to be the concubine, legit we were all waiting for this moment but then the pacing feels abrupt from slow to TOO FAST haha i guess it's a race to tie plot threads in 10 eps, I blame editing now

    • FINAL THOUGHTS: LMAO everyone commenting "That's It?" was such a mood, At least Ancient love poetry had more interesting plot and side characters, the demise of all the villains was predictable , Ended up skimming through after half way point but Despite this being super draggy I got chills with the ending flashback the OST not leaing my brain any time soon too still 6/10

yeah final verdict idc about the story or characters at all but at least it's better than recent kbls

SENSUAL tastefully done, complex characters love the piano piece too, but the ending it's fine now since the specials came out but if I watched it back then without knowing if there would be a continuation, I would get pretty mad I will leave it at a 8/10

  • Cupid's Last Wish

    48. Cupid's Last Wish

    Thai Drama - 2022, 10 episodes

    7.5

ML has major anger issues, taking it out on his mom and poor sis, sure he feels betrayed and traumatized by his bestie but that's no excuse to act this way, It reminds me of 49 days a older kdrama where the FL was a brat kinda living in her own bubble but then with the task to get tears from genuine ppl in her life she started to change and it was a profound journey of growth, identity and healing, I think it's going that direction but so far love the love interest not the male lead. Like the fantasy element in it though yay GMM for non-stop interesting BL plots

Been a couple of weeks finally the subbed eps are out and it still holds my interest good acting, and storyline THE COMEDY IS SO GOOD body swap is such a fun concept but in a BL too? I knew I had to watch it and now I will def check out 1000 stars

    - There's some random af moments too that just had me bursting out laughing but somehow it works with this drama Idk I love it, the scene with Win getting a period for the first time in Lin's body the cluelessness and freak out was hilarious. So addictive, can't wait for more eps binges 2-8 in one day

About a girl name son with psychic powers who meets a doctor who is also a psychic and a cop whose on a mission to take down a mobster who has strong psychic as his helper/mentor therefore the 3 team up together to find magical artifacts, and get evidence to take down these criminals.

OST IS SO CATCHY "I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU"

-ep 3 is damn good I'm finally used yo the comedy and find the dad and his spirit friends endearing but rlly Durian death? Lol. So many handsome actors the ML is WHIPPED romance is blooming in ep 4/5 this is so fun and i'm in the mood for these types of fun dramas

-nerf gun holy water is such a funny and genius concept, the witchery and spells so happy they wrote the ingredients and materials needed to perform the magic instead of skipping to just showing the results

so good could have been 2 eps shorter but i guess it's cause the run time is 1 hr 30 mins an episode some moments in the middle felt a bit draggy but overall so fun and addictive, good chemistry and comedic moments

  • A Business Proposal

    50. A Business Proposal

    Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    8.5

OMG LOVED EP 1 I'm so in. Had lowered my expectations but really love the 2 lead actors, but like forecasting love and weather I was wary bc I'm not into modern business romances, no plot and trope filled. The dialogue/alter ego of the FL is so funny "SAMANTHA AND RACHEL" I'M SO IN! The ML is so funny too cause all of that and he was like yo I like this girl she's so different and blunt/honest it's refreshing so yes I wanna marry her

2nd couple is cute too this drama only has 12 eps so good pacing guaranteed its a win for me

First watch i was obsessed with the main couple, but upon the 2nd watch i found the second couple more endearing and loved the pacing and natural interactions between the 2nd couple who feels more natural and real compared to the first, love their fowardness and young seo blurting out her thoughts and feelings all the time which helps their romance progress quickly instead of mind games or overthinking

    • haven't seen any that comes this close to mastering the genre in a while and with 2 couples and 12 eps? Pacing is perfection, any misunderstandings usually gets resolved by the end of an ep, and also so many good kissing scenes, literally pda or not, it’s fine, but in a romance drama of course viewers will be expecting and they delivered

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

    7.0

This was pretty awesome Netflix is on a roll this year putting money and buying rights to air these dramas on their platform is a great decision.  I love the double lives aspect of both the characters, and how the symbolic flipping of justice on its head, both are kinda on their own mission and trying to play the system while working with the system on the surface you know what I mean? The fight scenes are well-choreographed and I like that everything ties in together like Do Be Man aka Doberman and from the first 2 eps you will see why it's symbolic and works well. Little details like that makes me appreciate it more. Giving me Vincenzo vibes and Ahn Bo Hyun is so damn versatile, from Yumi's Cells the awkward boyfriend character to My Name a more stoic cop character and now here he's kinda doing it all from being a badass, smart and playful sometimes and intimidating too. I love how observant he is and picks up little things being suspicious of everyone

I'M A SUCKER FOR THE TROPE YOU GOTTA BEAT THEM AT THEIR OWN GAME within the system and corruption, is extra satisfying, the pacing is pretty good lots of progress both plot driven and character for the leads in every ep which I appreciate hate it when you finish 1-2 eps and ur like nothing really happened. every ep here reveals something new I appreciate it

It's not subbed yet but based on the clips and first 10 mins it feels the closest to the original compared to the other remakes, thai's acting was too over the top this looks believable and ML is pretty handsome

Update: watched the first 4 eps, enjoyed it a lot very similar to the Korean version but I feel like only 1 season is too short? Are they gonna rush through everything else cause I feel like we're just getting into it even 4 eps in, idk something's missing ended up dropping it

this is a turn your brain off enjoy the ridiculous over-the-top moments and hilarious Baifern costumes her bestie aka Mild is one of my fav GMM actresses she was great in 3 will be free but here she's straight up annoying and obnoxiously loud so I skip her whining moments and go to the fun stuff aka Baifern stalking and tryna ruin the ML's marriage which he is too good of a guy to realize that his fiance doesn't really love him and since he's never in love he just goes along with it

the costumes/disguises are so funny. I will continue watching when I'm in a drama drought or slump which probably won't be until April cause mid march dramas are on fire

  • Under the Skin

    55. Under the Skin

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 20 episodes

    8.5

Go into this one blind without reading summaries online they give too much away and if you just go in thinking this is a cop show with loads of art themes and psychology it will be the most enjoyable way. pretty darn great especially the creativity. I love how much art is in here and all the cases are solved in a pretty creative manner, you would think the cases aren't unique but they truly bring something new to the genre in my 10+ years of drama addiction I haven't seen before. Of course it's not flawless, the biggest thing that bothers me is so far the main lead with the art skills is doing too much carrying the team I'm thinking what the hell do these other cops who have years of experience doing and how did they solve cases without him. It's a minor complaint since I get it the male lead and his partner is the true leads of the show but sometimes the thought comes up and I wish they gave everyone else better scenes with good logic  Not even the partner guy does much tbh, the coroner forensic lady is at least useful

some cases slower than others but compared to last year's light on series this is so much better Pacing is perfection each case is 2-3 eps long, enough time to get interested and invested in the new characters but not too long to feel bored. I like the OST but compared to others I wished the music score used some classical pieces would suit the art theme so well.

There's some really effective and unsettling scenes of people like the one with the pig's mask grossed me out SO DAMN CREEPY and chilling the things humans can do, this one really put in the work in all the cases not a boring one they all are unique Final thoughts: some logic is reaching and unbelievable if you think of it from the perspective of crime investigators BUT creativity and entertainment value is perfect and definitely worth the watch, ending is openish which is fine for me and normal for crime shows in china

  • Crazy Love

    56. Crazy Love

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

    9.0

crazy love is a mess at first but I'm gonna stay on this chaotic trainwreck cause I like the leads, is it ridiculous, comedy super over the top? Yuh

FINALLY EP 4 IS GETTING SOMEWHERE REALLY GOOD. The comedy is jarring at first but if you binge the first 4 eps together you'll get used to it and find it pretty entertaining. The plot twist with the amnesia is what i'm here for! But also damn he put himself through A LOT like the puking fish scene etc for that haha krystal's evil plans to sabotage every second of his life like giving him lukewarm coffee with the sweetest smile is too funny I'm enjoying it so much weekly actually

It's a SHAME so many dropped this drama before this episode reveal that ending in retrospect justifies the craziness of the drama yes it's a rom-com and over-the-top comedy might turn ppl off but now we are getting true character development and something deeper. I feel like the first few eps were revenge filled sina, IN DENIAL of her TERMINAL ILLNESS...now we get the ACCEPTANCE stage this later half will probably be deeper but to me this could end up being one of the most refreshing drama of the year if they manage to balance the genres and moods right

    • I still hate Lee SIna's bestie and brother duo like they are annoying and i don't care about them, the strange detective scenes or other side characters are more interesting

This drama will probably appeal to everyone, just check out 2 eps and I think you'll be hooked, there's a charm about the characters, the writing that feels so precious definitely one of the hidden gems this year

So damn funny, never seen Tao act before but I knew him from his older Exo days and variety shows, but I was totally here for Song Zu Er's cuteness and she delivers she just suits the playful cute character and the bickering back and forth of the two are hilarious, her character is quite relatable like how in retrospect she is trying to do the most in school wetc, avoid romance bc in present day some of the relationships didn't work out well and this time she gets to understand the ML better and I love it. He's a good character I don't think he's cold as stated in many of the show summaries found online, he clearly cares for her in both present day and past day and he's hilarious and kinda sweet. Enjoyable drama thank goodness # of eps were vut down from almost 40 to 33 =better pacing

Tao is okay, I see lots of ppl bothered by his porcupine or pineapple haircut and also his acting, but my expectations for his part was low I was never swayed by his popularity or fandom and watch it more objectively and I wouldn't compare him to Song Zu Er since he has a lack of training for acting, I think if you look at it from someone with limited training his acting is passible. I'm here for the Zu'er moments but this is a dramas that's fine, enjoyable but does not stand out next to other good dramas currently airing, so I might put it on hold and revisit when cdramas aren't pumping out the really exciting stuff, it would be more enjoyable for me that way.

this is my go to watch a couple of eps for a dose of happiness drama (this and business proposal), love it so much after 3 eps in, it took me a little while to like the characters but duh once the kid starts talking and the cute matchy matchy outfits and poses with the dad? SOLD. How can you not? It's the sweetest cute family drama, the tropes are my fave too but with a cute kid with good fashion and permed hair? TO DIE FOR

  • Be My Princess

    60. Be My Princess

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 30 episodes

the ost really stands out idk it just works especially the ending song so beautiful. Jeremy is a great actor, Jieqiong or Kyulkyung is always so beautiful and seeing her in costume? I want to see a full version hope she gets more costume drama roles. I enjoyed the first 8 eps, the accident amnesia plot happens around ep 6 and there's some confusing moments which I hope they explain prior to the accident initial reaction waS:

Another negative is overdubbing the actor's voices but I don't really mind kinda used to this by now but if you're more sensitive to it it may lower your enjoyment

huh? So what was him seeing illusions of her as the princess before the accident? Is this a reincarnation romance cause if he was normal before why was he having flashbacks to the ancient time with them together prior to filming the drama

Wu Jiayi is the cute 2nd couple, they are okay, everyone is enjoyable here, a sweet and fun rom-com with good looking actors using amnesia in a funny way. I also loved the costuming for the historical part I was quite immersed in that script, I also liked how the MLis a good guy but tries to hide it trope. Although it's still the cold male lead the little moments show how sweet and considerate he is towards the FL, supporting her and helping her with acting BTS.

  • The Oath of Love

    61. The Oath of Love

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 32 episodes

    7.0

I expected the first 2 eps to be a bit more melodramatic, iThis exceeds my expectation took me around ep 4 to truly fall for these characters, FL is kind of unlikeable at first but you do find out why she is this way, usually opstimistic and nice but when she's angry she can come off as selfish and rude passive aggresive lots of commenters were annoyed by her but for me this is the realistic side of anger, you're not gonna see anger in one way, ppl hold on to grudges and the leads kind of start off on the wrong foot, so I didn't mind it.  Also I love it when you deal with trauma right, as a psych minor anything psychology based has my interest, Dr. Gu's trauma relapses it's complicated and hard to convey it's a hard thing you can't just get over it, it takes time and I like that the healing process feels natural not just one minute he struggles the next he's magically fine

I impressed with Xiao Zhan's actingat emotional scenes, there's only a handful of actors I can think of that cries in frustration and have their eyes red and raw.. Despite the sad themes of cancer and emotional serious moment the tone is kind of light in the first third of the drama. The little clips at the end is just a nice extra touch that I love. Like you don't have to but I love the extra detail this is a high 9/10 so far

There's bound to be differences since their age gap he's always busy with work so it's nice to see the tables have turned in ep 12 when he starts getting jealous, them living as neighbours later is so cute and funny. Dr Gao is the trope filled 2nd FL hope she gets a man and stops bothering the leads

  • My Dear Destiny

    62. My Dear Destiny

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes

started a bit of this, great for a stressful long day, turn off your brain and enjoy the ride mood. I always go back to these trope-filled historical rom-coms. Hu Xuan Yi is my pick for top 3 fave rising actresses, she's adorable and suits all rom-com dramas. This annoys me because of the Female styling and costume there was no effort whatsoever they at least tried to make the men's costume look historically accurate while all the women in the show is wearing disney princess style gowns or dresses with tulle. It's weird because some side characters wear proper historical costume but everyone else who don't. I get that it's super low-budget drama but it bothers me every time. Aside from that idk how I feel about the supernatural plot it goes to weird territory later on. Romance is still so damn cute though.

MOBU! lit and funny af, we will have s3 apparently so happy this can be a yearly thing or make it full length too damn good. Hilarious, found myself cracking up every single joke. Also the transitions? SO DRAMATIC and maybe is more funny and entertaining than the whole drama haha a great pick me up mood booster

  • The Long Night

    64. The Long Night

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes

    7.0

craving a good mystery drama might watch this one or pick up a kdrama but this has been on my list forever- initial thoughts on first 2 eps: really great set-up no time wasted, I like that everything is pretty clear and easy to follow along lots of times I feel like some crime shows don't balance the information portion with the current findings and investigation it can be either too info heavy and introduce way too many characters at once leaving viewers confused but this really is great. So you go into this and the mysterious killer or people propose a 24 day game with the cops and at the end if they play it right the true cultprit and entire truth will be revealed, this uses the countdown clock method right amping up the intensity, no real comedy here or light moments just straight up investigation /mystery

The most interesting part is it's in the perspective of the already deceased and going through flashbacks

omg the transitions/cinematography and editing behind this is insane, that shot with all the major characters turning around at the end, love the details and there was one scene in ep 2-3 where they used smoke to transition from the past to Bai Yu's character looking up from steaming coffee so unique and cool a lot of thought into that too

Even so after ep 7 or so I think the pacing is a bit slow, idk if it's cause I'm so used to western or amazing kdramas I understand Cdramas it's still reltavely new, butr I didn't enjoy this as much as other dramas. Compared to under the skin definitely more realistic but I enjoyed under the skin more for bringing something new to the genre

  • The King of Pigs

Also this is very relevant cause celebs have been accused of bullying in the past 1-2 years in Korea are now exposed with mixed reactions, lots of stans are defending their faves saying people change etc, but  as seen here, some humiliation and pranks go to the extreme and can mess up someone's mental state creating trauma years down the road, so even if we practice forgiveness, we should also not jump into conclusions to defend popular stars just because they seem a certain way on the internet, you never know what darkness or terrible things they did in their past. WHAT A STRONG FIRST EP, disturbing, and really makes you ask the question who do I side with? I love a good morally ambigous show. The main character is a cop that was a bully in his past, now guilty with the things he's done after an incident with the victim of the bullying you see the victim turn evil because of those event. First 2 eps were outstanding really shows the darker side of humanity so well a thought-provoking show. Solid cast and acting too

on ep 10 STILL LOVING IT and we sitll haven't got all the answers, so distrubing and brutal might be one of my faves of the year

  • A Tale of Thousand Stars

OMG it's good as they say, definitely iconic for Earth and Mix's chemistry but it bothers me how quickly the attraction is developed at least for Earth aka Chief Phupha's side. Longtae and Khama are the best supprotive most rational kind and supportive characters I liked them the most Tul was great and Dr. Nam too as the best shipper, haha for a BL drama not too much romantic scenes and I'm ok with that because it's Tian's journey of healing, growth and search for meaning I am way more invested in his character than the Chief who for me made me frustrated how he reacted and got angry at Tian when he had no right at all not knowing the full story too

    • To win someone's heart you must give over your own

    • This drama is so quotable so many beautiful lines

    • Another thing that is really frustrating but I guess it could be realistic is that how easily the villagers are willing to just judge the main character despite him doing so much for them and once his little secret was revealed everyone was just really angry about him yeah there's a lot of times where I thought the villagers were just too much and just super wishy-washy I wish they were just more loyal and trusting of him

    •  long Tay might be the best character out of the entire Village because he's been a straight-up guy and so loyal rational and understanding

this was super short and cute with not too much time to watch or start dramas, I found myself gravitating to comfort short, sweet dramas and It is very reminiscent of Ugly Prince Series or older Thai rom-coms, this one was adorable. The acting was great and the FL though was the clutzy cute FL she wasn't annoying to me. The pacing of course was fast but never felt rushed I enjoyed it so much Jamie and Singto looks great together Singto is always versatile in BL or normal hetero dramas, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. I think it achieved it's purpose and done it well establishing the world of the girl next room series where all the couples or leads live in the same apartment complex, I didn't watch it in order but I'm sure it will be even more satisfying if I did because all the characters show up in each other's stories and interact, super fun. Highly recommend

  • Girl Next Room: Richy Rich

    68. Girl Next Room: Richy Rich

    Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes

Ridiculous, hilarious but somehow still sweet and heartwarming This one is probably the funniest one, it is your typical parody or cliche trope filled drama but because it's intentional I think it was fun, a wacky romance with a bickering couple sure the situations are unbelievable lots of yelling at each other, pranking and FL is kinda a dumb blonde character, but it never tried to be anything else and that's ok with me bc of how self-aware it is they make fun of the FL's richness and obsession right from the opening scenes with the dramatic almost kpop style MV and just from that clip alone I think you can determine what type of drama this would be. I've never seen Off so vocal in this drama, I'm also enjoying them again in 46 days and as a fan of GMM actors and universe I am living for this one as well, I like that all the Girl Next door series establish something different, one is for the cuteness, the other one is more comedic, each serves a diff purpose and i like that

I love Duchess's monochrome outfits some are a bit out there but she's so pretty, this drama is crazy hilarious but still doesn't take away from the deeper more emotional moments, good acting. The friends are just as crazy and some of the trouble they get themselves in are too funny

  • The Blue Whisper: Part 1

First impressions the drama is okay nothing really exceptional that stood out to me until around ep 4 so it took a few eps to get going but I finally start to get interested in the characters mainly Allen Ren. Dilraba's character is a very basic type just a nice girl smiles alot etc. I find her scenes alone okay nothing too interesting about her character here.  BUT STILL IS WAY BETTER than Mirror Twin Cities and Ancient Love Poetry in terms of overall story and pacing, Do i buy the chemisty? Yes? Allen ren is absolutely so adorable here the way he stammers and gets shy love him. The way he only listens to her and trusts her is kinda sweet. I feel like part 2 is where all that trailer epicness is at and I'm okay with that. It's good and I will continue watching but as for strong first impressions? It was fine. Not too memerable I doubt everyone when finishing this drama will think damn I was hooked from ep 1. If you remove your biases from the actors

-Sets and budget distrubution may be inconsistent I'm not one too picky about the sets of dramas and stuff and I understand xianxias usually involve loads of green screen and CGI but some scenes It takes me out of the story by how inconsistent the sets look, I wish they made it look a bit more grand and realistic but then again they can be saving that budget for the large scale fighting scenes later

    - BUT after ep 4 I think it starts to really take off I smile every time Allen Ren's scene comes on especially when he starts interacting with other characters a mini bromance ensues. Hu Yi Xuan is adorable as always definitely enjoying it more now OST? SO GOOD ashes of love duo back here mao bu yi opening and sa ding ding ending! Makes sense cause some of the team behind the production of Ashes is behind this one.

I detest young offender".In my opinion, kids involved in heinous crimes like murder and rape should be treated like adults and should be awarded as much punishment as you do with the adults, of course, not execute them.More than these, I hate those parents who advocate for lesser punishment for their criminal kids. No excuse for their such behaviourlove that they show different cases the first one shows how cruel youths could be, now it shows that just like any victim of domestic abuse they can suffer and once again the family members with "unconditional love" isn't helping here but allowing these horrible crimes to be swept under the rug so the criminals might think, hey there's no real consequences so let me continue

Every single case was interesting, sometimes it was slow but never boring for me, not too long or too short. It has a good amount of suspense, the characters are well written, good music and good acting, especially the young actors. Kim Hye Soo is an A list actress, always incredible. I do have to say you have to be warned this is another super dark one no comedy or light moments at all heartbreaking and heavy,

THE VISUAL COUPLE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR since promo pics but so short! love a good friends to lovers vibes reminds me a bit of fight for my way love seeing the edits and clips online but will save this til it all airs in april

This dramas was okay, I mean with that cast SO Hee and Hyung Sik I knew the visuals would be off the charts and no problem whatsoever in the acting department but for me a 4 ep drama should have me hooked the whole time, no the pacing wasn’t off but it does feel slow? Nothing really happened until the last ep, it’s nothing extraordinary literally everything in the synopsis is all that happens,a drama about 2 besties for 20 years and one of them start catching feelings basically unrequited love and sohee’s character for me was a bit cruel towards her friend they conveyed the awkwardness so well when ur not ready to admit you know about the other person’s feelings the way she just dropped hints left and right rejecting him all the time then last ep bam happy ending didn’t sit well with me that being said I do still recommend it for a short and cozy drama the cinematography and aesthetics were very coffee house vibes i like the music, photography and her casual outfits. So if you like the actors go ahead but if you don’t i don’t think you’re missing much anyways ending was a bit unsatisfying wish we got more cute moments of them as a couple would have been great if the last ep was the 3rd ep and final ep we had more of an aftermath  that way it would feel more balanced and satisfying

skimmed through this but I really enjoyed it, even though my heart aches for my guy Jaiden captain cool he really is a womanizer, charmer he charmed me and his sincerity to holiday later is just so sad to see him being rejected all the time, i'm not mad about the ending at all though, love love love this drama, coco, sam, isaac that fam is chaotic, sweet and the romance storylines is WILD they all be trading partners but end up okay with it, w/o that much drama, kinda weird but realistic in some ways cause it does happen in life, you hang out with the same big crew at work so there will be love blooming, idk how I feel about the twin thing but i didn't watch part 1 so i dont mind i guess. Acting, duh check bc of the star-studded TVB crew, was too excited for the romance so I skimmed through the whole thing and will watch it slowly when it all releases on TVB youtube channel

also watched on the same day i skimmed Triumph in the Skies, so damn addictive, high budget, tavia is a show stealer for sure and my obsession with Julien Cheung yess so charasmatic in every role, yes he aged, but still aged well in my book, his love, devotion, schemes, so damn good. Objectively nothing new, pretty predictable as far as modern melodramas, but damn my eyes were glued to the screen and Sammy's character arc....fascinating. The ending...I get it but also why? I'm not that mad about it since I guess she had it coming but I still feel so bad for Marco

spent 6+ hours skimming through 42 eps, was it worth it? NO was it addictive? Yes. Constance and Terrace? Loved them the most at first but this girl is too naive it's so funny when she has emotional outbursts and buss her ass running to him like in a soap opera but then break up and make up again like dude make up your mind, the whole Jessica and Matthew? situation with all the companies against each other is drama llama perfection and just wild, they all be crazy, but it's true Syliva, Calvin and SUnny has the best scenes, most engaging story line definitely not worth watching the full drama for, but hey at least Linda who plays the worst rich B ever and Bosco ends up showing up too which is at least good eye candy and good for fans of Moonlight Resonance, aside from that,,,, why 80 eps? it could have been 40 , that aside I see the Constance hype she's so damn pretty

  • Tomorrow

This reminded me so much of Doctor Strange in a way since they can enter memories of their clients and the world collapses, there’s literally twists and turns, the walls caves in, and they do really neat camera shifts and effects like a kaleidoscope, it kinda hurt my head cause I watch everything on 2x speed so for this one I only watched it on 1.5, and first few episodes delivered, Love that the grim reaper society is run by a director basically a company headquarterswithdiff divisions.

I saw on twitter "violence is their love language" regarding the hot reaper by soohyuk and hee sun but nope it's weird, but I think they will explain later on why these 2 are similar and seems to have HISTORY. Male lead is an impulsive simpleton, which works out since at least he's passionate and cares for ppl but he doesn't read the rules and gets them all in trouble too many times. It's not as chaotic and fun as uncanny counter but still liking it though it doesn't bring too much new things onto the table with so many kdramas like this but still enjoyable

So far zero complaints from me as far as first impressions go, budget, pacing, story and characters I am so invested and in lvoe with everything I'm seeing, Chemistry feels so strong and set up is great with 2 Fengxis haha so exciting to see all the masters, their skills and personalities they all seem to be good people but due to their personal agendas, we may either see them working together or fighting on opposite sides, either way I'm intrigued. There are 6 nations so I'm guessing the middle will be full of reveals and side stories but since the leads are 2 of the best masters i'm sure they will have loads of scenes. Love the addition of the child actor, adorable.

She's playful but never annoying, she talks big but at least she lives up to the hype and always delivers. the fighting scenes with her looks majestic with the usage of the silk weapon, beautiful. Fight scenes dim down a bit in the middle and it's more about schemes and set up for the grand final arc

,hilarious how all these envoys and state officials are so intense scheming meanwhile our leads are in their own world on a mini date i love that no matter the situation they always find a way to enjoy each other's companies <3

But  yes you have tropes here but the writers are self-aware there’s a confession scene where he plans all these fireworks and flowers and the FL’s reaction she was haha dude you read too much romance novels.. I love Xuan Lu so excited to see her in her own historical dramas next year. She’s so good, wise and kind here. In stand by me she was cunning and smart love to see an actress that can nail bothThere’s still flaws but If I compare it to every other drama in the recent 1-2 years it’s one of the best

tell me how the romance doesn't give you progress until ep 28-30, but I love  Venus's couple with the rural country guy (played by ben) it's so wholesome i skipped 6-7 eps from 20-26 and not that much happened more drama team H and W split up, i;m sick of Nick so much but she's whipped after 2-3 years,  the mom slapped her 2 times and it was so good lol. Susanna Kwan's character is SO FUNNY the way they fake laugh and her insults are so blunt and creative lol i love how she makes a scene and is scared of no one the way she said bish look at your reflection we have a taoist mirror to reflect the demon in you lmfao love it, priscilla scenes are awesome but bosco and her are SLOW friendzoned, all the relationshipas are Belle friendzones Kai 100x so annoying. The dad scenes are pretty good really enjoy it despite the frustartion objectively this is no where near the other ones but I had a blast skimming and bingeing it for nostalgia's sake the aunt and bro duo is too funny probably the most likeable here cause they loyal

The gangster plot is so random omg lol what is haoppening the writers ran out of things to write so they added action but it feels so out of place after the slow start like just resolve the relationships. I hate that Bosco's character does a 180 but not cause he got his leg messed up and almost became diasbled but cause some random old rich guy comes and triggers him to become the best, i hate that they made him evil/manipulative just for the final showdown and Belle marrying some dude was just terriblethen that guy dies in a random car accident like wtf why did the writers not pace it out evenly the first 30 eps nothing happened and then they were like crap it's not 60 eps? and it was choppy and ridiculous  hated how it ended it was so predictable but really? we had to wait to the last second to see a meh ending at least give us a after credit scene of everyone's happy reaction to the dad waking up

BREATHTAKING first episodeIt's so atmospheric I was sucked into the world from the second I hit play already and just seeing the men sing and chant truly STUNNING and a quality production. JUST WOW, now I really need to get my hands on the novel

    Love love LOVE the intro

I understand how for some ppl this may be boring it isn’t your typical drama, but more of a real history lesson documentary and for that it was so well done, heartbreaking just brilliant, They confirmed that there will be a season 2, this is definitely not a happy one but it’s a beautiful raw and real story more than any other i’ve seen this year, not romanticized, the ugly, the horror, filthy living conditions, poverty and struggles of identity is all there and for that I have to commend itThe korean ver of the op in the final ep was the icing on the cake. The last 10 minutes of the drama when all sound cuts and they showed facts and a recording of women who survived and experienced the same things Sungja went through and even worst? That hit me hard and made me tear up Exceptional, important, beautiful, devastating, delightful.

Honestly you can’t go wrong with Lee Joon Gi can you? One of my favorite actors for a long time so happy after Flower of Evil he got super popular,

I was so invested in his character probably even more loveable bc he’s a good guy, and the way he reacted to going back in time and praying his parents were still alive was so touching, very solid first few episodes, great pacing, first ep does it all sets up the plot and gets going usually they might wait til ep 2 to start the time travel and it’s unique cause it’s not just resetting a couple of years it’s many years so you see him be able to find a way to write his wrongs and ofc come up with a plan to trap the bad guys The comedic moments are so good, so satisfying to see him be able to use his skills and do what he wants without restraint using his wits perfection, love him

Joong Gi is so good here so liekable, it’s not as dark as other dramas right now the perfect blend but not as outlandish as Tomorrow which is hit or miss sometimes for me

ike very homey cozy small town almost like a family sitcom type of drama you follow the lives of a bunch of different people with various jobs on an island I guess you could say this is like the very realistic version of Hometown cha cha cha MAN OH MAN THAT CAST, TVN and script writer you can't go wrong, the only thing i feel the reason why international fans kinda lowered the ratings on this one is that they expected more sweet rom-com vibes instead of slice of life?

This is an anthropology following many couples and characters and I guess ppl are mad that their faves like Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin's couples don't have too much screen time it is a more slow-burn one too, but never boring, cinematography, dialogues, characters and writing keeps me coming back and excited to click on each episode. It truly is a breath of fresh air in between other dramas and gives you a sense of calm and relaxing watching their lives unfold, loving it

Overall a quick friendship, magical fun musical kdrama something new and different, i'm happy to see netflix invest in something other than thrillers/ horror This is such a treat, a lovely watch if you ask me, super  refreshing and the romance with her classmate played by hwang in yeop is cute too it’s so nice to see how nerdy he is here compared tot he bad boy in true beauty. One thing you might be worried about is with all the alone time a grown man and a high school student spending together it loks sus and they do address it early on and it’s more of a mystery about who the magician is and why he’s kinda only helping her out. I feel like Goblin had a couple of scandals despite how well it did bc of the age diff, here there’s no romance between them

As for critiques mainly one: which is sometimes the musical scenes is too unecessary, yes this is cheesy and even cringe at times but specifically for people who are not open to these stories or who are over the disney magical phase then yeah i think this is literally a disney film in a kdrama format and you won’t enjoy it then. Definitely know what you’re going in for this is a willy wonka type of drama at times, it’s strange and fantastical for me I enjoyed it

so far i got addicted at ep 6 wuite good taking my time with this one, love the OST. Best republican romance i've seen in the past 2-3 years though. After ep 16 mark reaction:

Han Jing is so dim and boring sure Beichen has a temper but it's cause he loves her, he literally does the most but she never appreciates him. Like girl you're married take precautions while going out with a single man who you barely known for too long. How will it look to the public at that time especially with one of the most prominent families, she should always take a friend of maid with her. FL is frustrating

gonna skim from ep 33 onwards cause FL IS SO RIDICULOUS now

this is problematic at times when the ML is too much haha I can so relate with the FL wanting to run away, but afterwards when she falls for him love it. Gotta love the chasing scenes where ML does the most and is so cute and playful with her but then he turns 180 and is so badass and ruthless to his enemies. They are dating IRL don't know if they're still going strong cause they are lowkey but it'll be cute if they are. I'm sure since they were dating while filming the 2nd one the romance there will be steamier, more natural and the budget looks higher too. Excited and Yuan Hao has been showing up in Love in Flames of War he deserves the recognition, hoping he gets more roles his eyes are so expressive. love, hate, there's a twinkle in his eyes when he flirts with the FL making it just so charming and cute

THE PERFECT BODY SWAP DRAMA? love it more than the day of becoming you, so good, simplistic plot yet wholesome family moments, friendship, romance and growth love love love, so fun to binge watch, i feel no obligation to do anything else when i put this on truly so enjoyable and engaging all the way through evey ep

  • Be Reborn

    91. Be Reborn

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 26 episodes

Be Reborn I started while cooking and it was okay i was interested in the concept of art thieves and heists but it was a bit slow but once ep 4 completed i couldn't stop clicking to the next ep, it's diff from what I expected initially which was that this is like under the skin a smart student helps the police solve crimes, but this one is a bit more than that and it's entertaining, the length of the drama is longer altogether which is why it makes sense for it to feel slower than many crime shows with 12-20 eps but still decent watch, Wang Jun Kai is ok, not spectacular but I do think the writers did a good job making me invested in his character and makes him somewhat mysterious.  I feel like episodic dramas are good but for bingeing i prefer it like this where there are multiple cases but somehow connect to a larger case slowly solved throughout the season

Still iffy about whether or not to finish this but i'll slowly continue

TRULY A MASTERPIECE, WOW evven when I could figure some elements out the questions and mystery continues to intrigue me and the way things played out truly shocked me. This drama really puts asian dramas as a whole to a test the standard of script and quality is so good yet it doesn’t feel too rushed or confusing. Some may argue it is a bit slower and that it takes 4 eps for the plot to really get going but after completing you will see every small scene from before is probably relevant and without those slower parts the whole drama would be too crazy and intense. This really feels like an intense thriller in so many episodes but when i see the leads together you just buy the love. INCREDIBLE. GOD SENT and will forever be an irreplacebale drama.  Alice Ke sometimes she goes by Alice Ko from chinese sources has always been my favorite Taiwanese actress since Marry Me Or Not she’s so expressive and her dramas are relatively a high quality production

The twists and turns were all there and made sense very intricate writing .  The serious realistic issues and darker themes are balanced well with humor and charm of the ML cute and fun friendship moments and there's never a dull moment. For sure everyone can have various opinions but if you don't like this drama... maybe it's cause you weren't paying attention to the characters and details but there was not even one plot hole or probably are new to drama watching to not be able to fully get how rare it is to see this type of production that hits every emotion and genre transcending it to another level which is why so many love this drama. THE WU BAI WALKMAN Song called Last Dance and the opening is PERFECT so catchy This drama is a gift to drama watchers craving high quality and are sick of reused mediocre shows that we unfortunately have to eat up bc of how entertainment is run. Taiwanese dramas has always been a comfort of mine,

This one is shockingly good if you like the imperial coroner style of quick and intriguing cases mixed with the untamed vibes or heroes in terms of pretty strong bromance, with a sprinkle of interesting characters and romance this is it! So good. Cinematography is so good I can't believe we haven't gotten a season 2 already but to be fair they usually take 3-4 years to make since they try to up the budget and come up with new plot and cases. There were rumors that they were considering a s2 but no news ever since 2021 rumors. I like the romance pairings of both couple's leading ladies being quite mysterious and complex compared to the male leads.

The set up is SO well done even though it was slower and based on other characters, they all come to play later on WUXIA NOSTALGIS IS REAL! From the theme song alone I was hooked truly old school so many characters fighting exquisite fight choreography, truly impressed. Yes it takes some adjustment with the first 6 eps or so dedicated to not the grown ver of the ML but his story starting before he's born with the twin swords. I really enjoy it so far. FL's voice may be a bit annoying but overall not mad, can't wait to watch Dragon Sabre man we smashing all my watching goals in 2022 and it's all thanks to Heroes for making me crave the genre! I think the most memerable FL one is Liu Yifei and I might watch that one or Hu Ge's version but yeah this is pretty good as far as adaptations go

Literally can't stop watching and clicking to the next ep, the OP is so Nostalgic to old dramas, Chen Xingxu is having an identitiy crisis and kinda psycho, menwhile Guo Jing is kinda dumb lol at least on ep 17 the finally are gonna work together knowing that their real dads were besties and was used by the King Jin, now they are bros Tragic but truly a beautiful twisted fate tale (he's still the same sconsistent shady ish person but it's kind of interesting contrasting w/ the simplisity in the Ml)

-The tropes of meeting eccentric weirdos who turns out to be some of the strongest heroes or martial artists love that so fun.  It works as it's own arcs and thematically ties in allowing us to see the ML grow and learn a bit by all these characters

this is SO CUTE I love Rong and her dad's relationship (Huang Yaoshi) he's a badass and scary ruthless but so sweet with her
