Good fight scenes

The fight scenes are breath-taking. The short scenes depicting the end of the Bakumatsu do a great job of showing why Kenshin would be so horrified by the idea of killing again.

Yes, I am aware that the fight scenes in the second half are not that good, but the first episode is absolutely breathtaking, with the drawn-out chase sequence and the coordinated fighting. Also, Bai Fengxi gets a lot of cool action in Yongzhou, then later at the mountain with Hei Fengxi.

maybe it's a bit flashy but it's still a lot of fun and does a good job of incorporating magic into the fights
